ROBINSON, KATHLEEN M., 64 - of Eldora, died Sunday at home. Born in Eldora, she was a lifetime resident. She was the daughter of the late Christian and Hattie Noon Schmidt.
Mrs. Robinson was a School Bus Driver for the Dennis Twp. Board of Education. She was a Past Matron of Rising Star Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Friendship Chapter OES of Linwood.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen Katz of Clermont, Michelle Mitchell of Eldora; son, Joey Robinson of Winder, GA; ex-husband Royce Robinson of Eldora; brother, Christian Schmidt and sister, Paulette Sutton, both of Eldora; grandchildren, Philip Katz, Jr., Christopher Katz, Lisa Marie Katz, Shayla & Rena Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Homes, 643 Main St., Leesburg on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Eldora Methodist cemetery. Viewing will be held Wednesday 1 hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cannon Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund, Main St., So. Seaville, NJ 08246.

RAPP, JOAN D. KELLY (Petzak), 60 - of West Creek, passed away Sunday, September 5 suddenly at her home. Born in Parkertown, she was a lifetime area resident. Joan was a driver for handicapped children and job she loved for the BR Williamson Co. in Woodstown. She loved the outdoors, camping, and fly fishing. Survivors include her husband, Fred J. Rapp, Sr.; her mother, Dorothy (Leek) Petzak of Parkertown; her children, Joseph Ranier of Tuckerton, Jana Simons of Bayville, Jeff Gatton of West Creek & Billie Ann Kelly of Tuckerton; her grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Lauren, Jonathan, & Darren; her step children, Fred Rapp, Jr. of Mayetta, Heidi Sarno of Manahawkin, Jeff Rapp of Barnegat, & Steven Rapp of Mayetta; and three step grandchildren. Viewing hours will be Thursday September 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Rd., Little Egg Harbor. Private burial will be in West Creek cemetery. Memorial donations are being requested to the Pop Corn Park Zoo in Forked River.

SERATORE, SANDRA S. "SANDY" 58 - of Mays Landing, passed away Saturday in the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point.
Sandy was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph and the late Natalie (Taggart) Seratore.
Sandy worked for Shore Memorial Hospital for the last 17 years most recently as a Sterile Processing Technician. She also was a Drill Team Asst. Coach for Egg Harbor Township. Sandy volunteered for the March of Dimes. Sandy's family was her life.
She is survived by her son: Joseph Seratore of Egg Harbor Twp. and his fiancee, Mia Manning (expecting), her grandson, Joseph Seratore, Jr., her daughter, Natalie Seratore of Atlantic City, her sister, Dolly Cocozza and her husband, Carl, her niece, Danielle Hopely and her husband, Brian of EHT, her nephew, Johnny Adams of EHT, her nephew Carl Cocozza and his wife, Claudia of EHT, and her close friend, Terri Brown of Galloway.
Relatives and Friends may call on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 606 Shore Road, Somers Point, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Zion cemetery, Egg Harbor Township.

PLATANELLA, KAREN SUE "KC" (nee CORDERY) 43 - of Egg Harbor Township, died Saturday at her residence.
Born in Atlantic City, she is a daughter of the late Robert M. and Evelyn S. (Lutz) Cordery.
Karen is a 1979 Graduate of Mainland Regional High School. She enjoyed the shore and nature outings with her family. She loved life, her friends and especially her family. Karen enjoyed traveling and had a love for flowers especially Tulips, Daisies, Calla Lilies, Roses and Sunflowers. She was a beverage server, employed by Trump Marina having worked there for 21 years.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Robert Platanella and a son: Robert Joseph Platanella of Egg Harbor Township; her mother Evelyn S. (Lutz) Cordory; her sister; Kim E. Monti of Mays Landing; her father and mother-in-law, Delma And Joseph Platanella of Maya Landing; her sister and brothers-in-law: John and Jill Platanella; Joseph Platanella Ill; Helen and Eric Heide; Fran and Steve Bailey; Dorothy and Cisco Torres; and Debbie and Joe Pino; 11 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life and service will be held Wednesday September 15, 2004 at 11:00 am at Greentree Church, 125 School House Road, Egg Harbor Township. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 11:00am prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family requests that memorial donations be sent to Greentree Church, 125 School House Road, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.

WHITTAKER, ANNA MAE (Mogck) - of St. Simon's, GA formerly of Cape May passed away peacefully on July 29, 2004. Born in Camden to the late Annie and Harry Mogck, she came to Cape May when she was very young. She attended Our Lady Star of the Sea Elementary School in Cape May and later graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Philadelphia. She finished her education at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where she received her nursing degree.
Mrs. Whittaker is predeceased by her brother Harry J. Mogck, Sr (1986) and her niece Kathleen Catanoso (1998).
She is survived by her four children, William Whittaker of Santa Anna, CA, Carol Anne Hergen of Alexandria, VA, Richard T. Whittaker of Lancaster, PA, Mary Elizabeth Turner of Las Cruces, NM, sister-in-law, Peg Mogck of Cape May, niece, Andrea Curran of Cape May, two nephews, Harry (Buzz) Mogck and Tom Mogck both of Cape May, five grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 9:30am Friday, September 17th, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 525 Washington St. Cape May. Anna Mae will be buried beside her late husband William in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring.
In lieu of flowers. memorial contributions are suggested top the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1693 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.

WARD, MARGARET, (Hamilton) 80 - of Millville, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2004 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Margaret, born in England, has been a resident of southern NJ for the past 45 years. Her kind, gentle and unselfish loving nature always put her family and friends first. Margaret's passions included spending time with her two grandchildren, Michele and Brian, gardening, listening to classical music, reading, bowling and playing Mahjong. Her great sense of humor and contagious laughter will be missed by all who knew her. As a young woman, she served in the British Land Army and in later years enjoyed being an active member of the Millville Women's Club. Margaret is survived by her husband of 54 years Michael Ward of Millville, one son Ian and daughter-in-law Matt and grandchildren Michele and Brian Wilson of Millville; a brother Peter and sister-in-law Mary Hamilton of Bexhill, England and aunt Olive Hill of Bexhill, England. The funeral will be private. Margaret wishes that any contributions be made to SJ Healthcare Hospice Care, 2848 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland NJ 08360 in recognition of their compassionate care and support during her last months, special thinks to Sue Bachman.

McAVINEY, CLARA D. "CLAIRE" (nee KRUCHENSKY), 87 - of Hammonton, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at her residence. Born in Hastings, PA, she graduated from McKeesport High School in 1933. She was a resident of Hammonton for over 50 years. She worked as a sales clerk for Aggressive Clothing Manufacturer and the Ideal Clothing Manufacturer. In 1983, she retired from Whitehall Laboratories where she worked as a machine operator. Clara is survived by her husband James, Sr.; her children, James, Jr. of Hammonton, Donald (Alberta) of Wallingford, PA, Barbara Conklin (Daniel) of Marlton and Marilyn DeMaria (Harry) of Seaville; dear sister of Emil Kruchensky. Loving grandmother of Lauren, Lindsay, Matthew, Corinne, Christian and Andrew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday, 9:30am at St. Joseph Church, 3rd & French Streets, Hammonton. Mass 11:00am at the church. Burial Holy Sepulchre Cem. DE PASQUALE, BARBARA (SERBECK) 93 - of Vineland, passed away on Sunday afternoon in the Regional Medical Center, Vineland, after a brief illness. Mrs. DePasquale was born in Passaic, and had resided in Dorothy, prior to moving to Vineland where she has lived for 50 yrs. She was the daughter of the late Alexander & Theresa Smith Serbeck, wife of the late Patrick "Pat" DePasquale and mother of the late Louis Lolli.
Mrs. DePasquale was a homemaker and a longtime member of the St. Isidores R.C. Church. She enjoyed being with her family & dancing.
She is survived by 1 daughter & son in law: Mary & Peter VanNoord, Vineland. Two sons & daughter in laws: Anthony & Maureen DePasquale, Vineland, Robert & Ruth DePasquale, Vineland, Daughter in law: Josephine Lolli, Millville. 13 grandchildren & 28 great grandchildren.
Her funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30am Thursday in the St. Isidores RC Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd., Vineland with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart cemetery. Relatives & friends will be received on Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00pm & again on Thursday from 9:00-10:00am at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, NJ. BOYCE, ANNIE M.J. - of Atlantic City, went to be with her savior September 10, 2004, in Stuart, VA. She resided for the last 15 years at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart, VA. Prior to moving to Virginia, she was employed by the Guarantee Bank and Trust Co. of Atlantic City. She was a member of the Chelsea Baptist Church in Atlantic city for over 70 years. She was also a member of fraternal organizations.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Johnson, three brothers, one sister and one child. Her husband, William M. Boyce, died in 1955. She is survived by her tow sons, William R. Boyce of Rocky Mount, VA and Douglas J. Boyce of Brooktondale, NY, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service on Wednesday, September 15, 3:00pm at the Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville, with Reverend Daniel M. Casel of Chelsea Baptist Church officiating. BARTLETT, II, ROBERT G., 69 - of Grove, WV, died Saturday, September 11, 2004 at his home. Born in Somers Point and was an area resident of Linwood and Tuckahoe for many years until moving to WV eight years ago. Bob retired from IBEW Local 351 of Atlantic City and from Calvi Electric Company as a Journeyman Electrician. Member of the Keystone Lodge 153 of Linwood Past Master. Graduate of Pleasantville High School, class if 1953. Served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Predeceased by one brother, John Lake Bartlett, III; one sisters, Madeline E. Chambers. Survived by his wife Harriet (Weeks) Bartlett; one daughter, Patricia L. Coomer; one son, Paul E. Bartlett; one brother, S. Bill (Joyce) Bartlett; six grandchildren, Kathryn, Kristyn, Lucy, Caleb, Scott and Paul; and many nieces & nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday 10 a.m. at the Middleton Stroble and Zale Funeral Home, 304 Shore Road, Somers Point. Burial Greenwood cemetery, Tuckerton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home.

SCHWERTLY, GILBERT H., 77 - of Marmora, on Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point.
Born in Monroeville, he had lived in Tuckahoe for many years before moving to Marmora four years ago.
Mr. Schwertly worked as the grounds supervisor for Woodbine Development Center, in Woodbine, for 38 years before his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Tuckahoe United Methodist Church in Tuckahoe.
He is survived by his wife, Marian Jean Schwertly (nee Godfrey) of Marmora, and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be offered Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from the Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of service. Interment will follow in Head of the River cemetery, Estell Manor.

REED, DOMONICK J., 50 - of Locust, formerly of Brigantine, passed away suddenly on September 11, 2004. He was born in Atlantic City. A graduate of Atlantic City High School, he was a union carpenter, Local 465PA. He was a former member of the Brigantine Beach patrol and enjoyed sailing, fishing, and hunting.
He is predeceased by his father, Maurice J. Reed, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth A. Reed of Brigantine; a son, Sean; three daughters, Traci, Heather and Kelly and their mother Carol, all of Havertown, PA. He is also survived by three brothers, Butch (Sue), Patrick, and Timothy (Beth); three sisters, Betty Ann Olson (Rick), Dianna Spina (Pat) and Catherine Malia (Pat); his loving companion, Dee Royal of Locust; cousins, Patty Walley (John) and Sharon Tarsitano, and Aunt Mary Jane Gill. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Domonick's Life Celebration, Thursday, 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Keates-Plum Funeral Home, Brigantine. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, Brigantine. Interment Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona. DEMAREST, JEAN "Jeanie", 51 - of Absecon, daughter of Weldon and Agnes Demarest, passed away on September 10 after an extended illness. Jean lived in Galloway Township with her housemates. Jean was also an active participant at the Caring Inc. Center. Both at home and at the Caring Center she showed her love and appreciation for dressing in style, good cuisine, and going out. Jean is survived by two sisters, Geraldine Resch of Belford, and Elizabeth Demarest of Avenel; and a brother, Edward Demarest of Vineland; five nieces, four nephews, and a host of loving friends. Local funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Parsels Funeral Home, 324 New Jersey Ave., Absecon. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Andrews Church in Avenel on Thursday, with burial to follow in Rosehill cemetery in Linden.

HAMMOND, DOROTHY LOUISE (KINNEY), 88 - of Millville, died Friday, September 10, 2004 at the Maurice House in Millville. Louise was the youngest child of Otis and Hazel Kinney and grew up on a dairy farm near Spencer, IN. She held a degree in Nursing from Indiana University. During the early years of her marriage she was a nurse for her husband Dr. Elwood Hammond and in later years worked for the Cape May Board of Education and Leesburg Prison. Mrs. Hammond was a volunteer for many years for the American Red Cross, was an accomplished seamstress and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was pre-deceased by her husband Dr. Elwood Keith Hammond and sons Michael Keith and John Paul and is survived by a daughter Nancy Jean Hammond of Millville and two sons Ted Kinney Hammond of Bozeman, MT and Ivan Fred Hammond of Bowling Green, OH and granddaughters Leslie Michelle of Houston, TX and Lisa Jean of Tulsa, OK. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Wednesday in the Barbetti Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., Millville. The burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Maurice House, 1719 W. Main St., Millville, NJ 08332 or Caring Hospice Services, 102 Gaither Dr., Suite #2, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
