ROSSI, JOYCE R., (nee BINTLIFF) 79 - of Loveladies, formerly of Riverside died August 14, 2004 at Hahneman Hospital, Philadelphia. A native of Riverside, she retired to her summer home in Lovelaides in 1972. She was a member of St. Francis R.C. Church, Brant Beach. Joyce loved the shore, family, friends and daily life.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, daughter Judith, son Raymond Jr. and great granddaughter Sydney Zadjeika.
Beloved mother of Nancy L. Gendron and husband Joseph of Cinnaminson; loving grandmother of Natalie Zadjeika and husband Chris and April C. Zadjeika all of Cinnaminson and J. Brett Gendron of Baca Rotan, FL and devoted great grandmother of Zachary, Miranda, Chelsey, Alexis and Kailey. Also survived by her "adopted son" Ralph Martinelli of Mt. Laurel.
The Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. COOLEY, EDWARD G. 77 - of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward and Lillian (Salvin) Cooley, he had lived here for five years after moving from Philadelphia. He was an electrician for Leeds and Northrup in Princeton. He was a member of the Magnolia Senior Citizen Club for the Deaf. He attended Our Lady of the Angels Mass for the Hearing Impaired. He enjoyed carpentry and fishing.
Mr. Cooley is survived by his wife, Y. Shirley Cooley of Cape May Court House; his step sons, Mike Owens, Pat Owens, and John Owens, all of Conshohocken, PA; and his step-grandchildren, Michael and Ashley Owens.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Elwyn Institute, Elwyn Road, Elwyn PA 19063.
LaMONACA, CAROLINE, (nee Tortello), 87 - of Egg Harbor, "Aunt Katie" to everyone passed, away Saturday August 21, 2004 at Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division, Pomona.
Mrs. LaMonaca was born and raised in Pomona. After her marriage she lived in Hammonton until 1999 when she moved to Egg Harbor.
She was very active with the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Hammonton. She was also a member of the Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of America and the Deborah Hospital Auxiliary in Hammonton.
Mrs. LaMonaca is predeceased by her loving husband Charles; her brothers Samuel and Orlando Tortello and her sisters Anna Dessicino and Helen Gualtiere.
Mrs. LaMonaca is survived by her children, Charles LaMonaca Jr. and his wife Carol of Littleton, Co., Carolyn Brown and her husband Art of Pomona and Donald LaMonaca and his wife Connie of Egg Harbor; her grandchildren: Charles LaMonaca and his wife Monica, Bill LaMonaca and his wife Kathy, Richard LaMonaca and his wife Gina all of CO, Nick Petruzzi and his wife Heidi of IL, Michael Petruzzi and fianc‚ Anne Drolet of CO, Don LaMonaca and wife Gabrielle of Margate, Ryan LaMonaca and his wife Jennifer of Sweetwater and Kevin LaMonaca and his wife Tara of Linwood, Art Brown and wife Donna of Hammonton, Jennifer Callahan and husband Mike of Mays Landing, Stephanie Wall of Lawrenceville, and Stephen Brown and his wife Fern of Estell Manor; her sisters: Florence Brandoin of Linwood, Rita Schwenger of Egg Harbor, Dorothy Powell of Pleasantville, Lillian Tortello of Pleasantville, Doris Bush of Mays Landing and Anne Peterson of Egg Harbor.
Mrs. LaMonaca has 25 great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held 6 to 8PM Tuesday, August 24, 2004 and 9:30 to 10:30AM Wednesday August 25, 2004 at the Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Nicholas Church, 525 St Louis Ave., Egg Harbor City. Interment will follow at Germania cemetery, Galloway Township.

GOODWIN, SAMUEL J., JR., 82 - of Seaville, went home to be with the Lord on August 20. He loved Jesus. Sadly Missed by his wife Elizabeth (Betty), son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Janet Goodwin,and granddaughter Emmaline of Somers Point, daughter Beth Goodwin of Ocean City, daughter Teresa Goodwin of Galloway, and son Paul Goodwin of Seaville; also sister, Ann McCarthy & family of Villas, sister Margaret and Frank Cartalaro and family of Trevose, PA, and brother Danny and Marian Goodwin and family of Huntington Valley, PA.
Samuel was born in Philadelphia, served in the Civilian Conservation Corp during the great depression, and the Merchant Marine from the beginning of World War II through 1961. He worked as a stationary engineer at Drexel University, the Flanders Hotel, Jefferson Hospital, and finally Shore Memorial Hospital until his retirement in 1989. He was a decent human being guided by a simple faith in god.
He was a friend of Bill W. For 49 years.
Friends may call Wednesday evening from seven until nine o'clock at the Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo.
A mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from St. Casimir's R.C. Church, 304 Clay Street, Woodbine.
Burial will follow Mass in Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

MARTINELLI, ANNA MARIE (TOMASELLO) 61 - of Vineland, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Bishop McCarthy Residence Vineland. She was born in Vineland and was a life long resident, graduating from Vineland High School in 1961.. She was employed as a secretary for A. Corky Linardo Fire & Safety Equipment in Vineland. Anna enjoyed going to the casino, trips to Lancaster, PA and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by Mother: Grace "Laura" (Linardo) Tomasello Vineland, Daughter & Husband: Paula & Sean McCormick Vineland, Daughter: Angela Martinelli Voorhees, Granddaughters: Megan & Allyson McCormick Vineland, Predeceased Husband in 1995: Paul Martinelli Predeceased Father: Angelo Tomasello.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, Vineland.
Interment will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery, Vineland.

COOK, DAVID GLENN, 42 - formerly of Margate, died Saturday, August 21, 2004.
Born in Atlantic City, he was the son of the late Spencer and the late Ethel Cook.
He is survived by his sister, Cynthia Cook Hartman of GA; and niece, Kimberly Kennedy of Atlanta, GA.

MORGENWECK, ROBERT E., 77- of Northfield, died on August 20, 2004. Born and raised in Egg Harbor City, he has been an area resident all of his life and has lived in Northfield for the last 27 years. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and spent most of his life employed as a firefighter, last working at the FAA Tech Center in Pomona.
He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Baird) and was the loving father of Susan Mehlman and her husband Harry, Sandra Meyer and her husband Deems, Lisa-Kay McColgan and her husband Tom, Lenard Crooks and his wife Sharon, Lauren Crooks and his wife Stacie and Jason Ausborn. He was the proud grandfather of ten and great grandfather of eight. Also surviving is his mother Emily Morgenweck Eckardt.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration and Memorial Service Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Zion Methodist Church, Zion Road, Egg Harbor Twp. EVANS, WALTER W., 89 - of Ocean City, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2004 in Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point.
Born in Philadelphia he had lived in Philadelphia, PA, and has been an area resident since 1967.
Mr. Evans served his country as a World War II Veteran.
Before moving to Ocean City he taught architectural drafting and building planning at Temple University Night School while owning his own real estate roofing business. Until June 30 of this year, Mr. Evans was employed as a Technical Advisor for the Allegheny West Foundation, which is a community development program. He led an admirable career life filled with dedication and respect.
Mr. Evans achieved numerous first place awards, including best of the island award for his participation in elaborately designing and building themed decoration for his home for the Night in Venice celebration.
Mr. Evans was a member of Ocean City Lodge # 171 F & A.M. and the Ocean City Yacht Club.
Walt was a warm, wonderful and loving man who gave strength and compassion to his family and friends.
Mr. Evans is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Betty, his daughter, Cynthia Kelly, and her husband Neil of Ocean City, also surviving are two grandchildren, Kimberley Kelly of Ocean City and Kevin Kelly and his wife Lisa of Galloway and one great grandchild, Jace Kelly.
A service of memory and love will be offered Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Godfrey Funeral Home, 809 Central Avenue, Ocean City, where friends may call from half past ten o'clock until time of service.
Burial will be private and at the family's convenience.

CHAPMAN, DR. WILLIAM - of Punxsutawney, PA, formerly of Fox Chapel. Born April 10, 1922 in Warren, Pennsylvania, William Chapman died Thursday, August 19 in Cape May, surrounded by his family. His father was The Honorable Dr. Leroy Edgar Chapman, his mother was Lena Waterbrandt. He graduated from Allegheny College in 1943 and from Temple Medical School in 1945. He was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and on the Board of Internal Medicine. During the Korean War he served for six years in the U.S. Navy, spending one and a half years in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska and the remainder of the time at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. After serving as Chief of Medicine at Shadyside Hospital, he became Chief of Hematology, a position he held until his retirement. He was a member of the Oakmont and Fox Chapel Country Clubs in Pittsburgh, the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May, Punxsutawney Country Club, Palm Aire Country Club of Sarasota and the Mid Ocean Club in Bermuda. In addition to his time at Shadyside Hospital, Presbyterian and West Penn Hospitals, he was a consultant at Allegheny General, Divine Providence, Pittsburgh Hospital, Columbia Hospital and Punxsutawney Area Hospital. Dr. Chapman belonged to the Pennsylvania Medical Society and was a charter member of both the American and International Societies of Nuclear Medicine. He started the Bessie Morrison McKelvy Fund at Shadyside Hospital, which provided the first cobalt therapy for the hospital's radiation department. He was a member of the Punxsutawney Presbyterian Church and the Pennsylvania Society, and was married to Ruth Thomas Chapman, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Ramsey Chapman of Sarasota, Florida, his daughters Terryl Chapman of Cape May, and Kerrin Roberts of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, two daughters, two step-daughters: Barbara Hampton of Avalon and Mary Beth Lockhart of Ellenton, FL. Eight grandchildren: Lelah, Luke, Ava, Zach, Julina, Will, Maryl and Honna, and several nieces and nephews. A brief memorial will be held Sunday morning at 10:30am at Harborview Park in Cape May, and also a service will be held at Punxsutawney Presbyterian Church Saturday, August 28 at 2pm. Memorials can be made to Punxsutawney Presbyterian and St. Peter's by the Sea in Cape May Point Churches and Punxsutawney Hospital area. Rev: Kent E. Holmes, officiating.
BOWMAN, MELVINA CATHERINE, - of Atlantic City, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2004, in Eastern Pines Nursing Home, Atlantic City.
Born in Mooresville, North Carolina, she came to Atlantic City with her family at the age of five. She attended the Atlantic City public schools, graduating from Atlantic City High School. Her career spanned 40 years as a housekeeper. Mrs. Bowman was married to David Lee Bowman.
She leaves to mourn, her children, Joanne Taylor of Stratford, David Bowman-Kinnard of Trenton, Joanne Bowman-Rupinski of Montclair, Sandra Taylor McDowell and her husband, Carlos of Egg Harbor Township, Vanessa Barlow-Wright and her husband, Alfred of Norma, Darlene Barlow of Atlantic City, Debra Barlow of Atlanta, Georgia, Tisha Stewart of Atlantic City, and Jerome Taylor of Charlotte, North Carolina; an aunt, Canary Barnes of Kannapolis, NC; cousin and best friend, Patricia Taylor of Atlantic City; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11AM Thursday, August 26, 2004, in the Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City, where friends may call from 10AM. Burial will be in Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville.
