MARCOS ANDREADIS, 80, of JACKSON, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Bartley Health Care, Jackson, with his family at his bedside. Mr. Andreadis was born in Chios, Greece. He lived in Wrightstown before moving to Jackson six months ago. He was a chef and owner of the Colts Neck Diner before his retirement. He attended St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Asbury Park. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Surviving are two sons, Constantinos "Gus" Andreadis of Auburn, Ala., and Andrew Andreadis of Bushkill, Pa.; a daughter, Mary Lukowski of Farmingdale; a sister, Vangalia of Greece; and six grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Andrew Eugenis officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.

MARIA SANDSHA ANDREEV, 82, of HOWELL, died Friday, March 2, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Andreev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and came to the U.S.; arriving in New York in 1952. She lived in Philadelphia, Pa., and settled in Howell in 1957. Mrs. Andreev was a member of the Rashi Lhunpo Temple, Howell. Mrs. Andreev was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, David; a son, Roschin; a daughter, Lidjima Young; and a sister, Vera Djambinov. Surviving are three sons, Pawel Andreev of Redwood City, Calif., Velo Andreev and his wife Catherine of Neptune City, and Baljer "Barry" Andreev of Ocean Township; five daughters, Naran Laneve of San Francisco, Calif., Ulanki Arbakow of Howell, Nadja Andreev and her husband Michael Torres of Avon, Sandjerma Francis and her husband Anthony of Forest Hills, N.Y., and Sara Rugo of Neptune; seven grandchildren, Darma Arbakow, Nema Arbakow, Zanda Chavez, Melissa Andreev, Laurie Andreev, Tina Laneve, and Brecken Andreev; and two great-grandsons, David Post and Cruz Chavez; son-in-law, Thomas Young; two brothers, Alexey Ivanchukov of Arlington, Va., and Naran Ivanchukov of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one sister, Galina Balsirow of Howell; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route #524), Freehold Township, with a prayer service from 2 to 3 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Vladimir Cemetery.

STUART ANOLICK, 75, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of HOWELL, and Ocean Township, died Tuesday, July 10, at Florida Hope Hospice, Fort Myers, Fla. Mr. Anolick was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in Howell and Ocean Township before moving to Fort Myers, Fla., more than five years ago. Mr. Anolick was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a former chairman of the Shade Tree Commission, Howell. He was a former member of the Howell Jaycee's and the Howell Republican Club. Mr. Anolick was the representative for Howell to the State of N.J. Motion Picture Council. He was the production manager for New York Envelope Corp., Long Island City, N.Y., for 25 years, retiring in 1996.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Anolick; two daughters, Stacey Zolofra and her husband Mario of Holmdel, and Carrie Hutchinson and her husband James of Randolph; a sister, Lenore Anolick of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler, Tomas, and Melanie.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, until his memorial service at 3 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. ALAN M. APPELL, 50, of HOWELL, died Friday, Aug. 25, at home. Mr. Appell was raised and resided in Sayreville before moving to Howell in 1987. He was ex-chief, life member, exempt member, hazmat coordinator, EMT, and 1st Responder for the Southard Fire Department, Howell. He was also the District No. 3 Fire Commissioner of Howell. Mr. Appell was a parishioner of St. Veronica's Catholic Church, Howell. He retired as a pipefitter from Hercules Inc., Parlin, after 25 years. For the past six years, he worked as a pipefitter, fireman, and 1st responder for Merck & Co., Rahway.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Margaret Appell of Howell; a son, Tommy Appell of Howell Twp; two daughters, Samantha Appell of Howell, and Ali Appell of Howell; his parents, Albert and Rose Appell of Sayreville; two brothers, Brian Appell of Tinton Falls, and Barry Appell of Tinton Falls; four sisters, Sharon Appell of Sayreville, Susan Unkel of Glen Gardner, Amy Martin of East Windsor, and Cindy Delmotte of Sayreville.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home at 8: 30 a.m. Monday for the Rite of Committal followed by a 9: 30 a.m. Funeral Mass at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell. GRACE ARMENO, 91, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Armeno was born in Newark and lived in Bloomfield before moving to Freehold Township in 1992. She was a dietitian for the Essex County Vocational Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was a parishioner at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. She was a member of the Manalapan and Freehold seniors clubs.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick, in 1993; and her brothers and sister, Gerard Toscano, Michael Toscano, Sarah Andrews, Patrick Toscano, Fiore Toscano, Victor Toscano and Raymond Toscano. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa "Terry" and Bob Lang of Freehold Township, and Stella and Bill Luke of Freehold Township; and five grandchildren, Karen Lang, Robert Lang and his wife Kathleen, Patrick Luke and his wife Erica, Thomas Luke, and Jeffrey Luke. She was the adoring aunt of JoAnne, Ken and Michele Bergerson of Freehold Township.

JULIA C. ASCOUGH, 89, of FARMINGDALE, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Ascough was born in Farmingdale and was a lifelong resident. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. Mrs. Ascough was a member of the Farmingdale Historical Society. Mrs. Ascough was a bookkeeper for Acme Markets, Point Pleasant, for 30 years, retiring in 1979.
She was predeceased by her husband, George H., in 2003; two brothers, Joseph and Albert Amalfa; and her sister, Rose Lefkowich. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Janet and Robert Grant of Neptune, and Margaret Mehok of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, James Amalfa and his wife Regina of Freehold, and Nicholas Amalfa and his wife Kay of Lakewood; four grandchildren, Dyan Simms and her husband Fred of Brick, Robert G. Grant of Point Pleasant, Patti Ramsour and her husband Don of Raymore, Mo., and Kelly Bigler of Independence, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren, Cara, Courtney, and Robert Bigler.

GEORGE J. AUMOCK, 73, of Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of FREEHOLD, and Jackson, died Sunday, March 4, with his wife and family by his side, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach. Mr. Aumock was born in Freehold and had lived there and in Jackson before moving to Virginia Beach. in 1995. He was a graduate of Rider College, earning a degree in accounting. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and had been stationed in Annapolis, Md. He was a senior vice president of Finance at Backer, Spielvogel & Bates, New York City, for over 35 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clare and Gertrude Aumock of Freehold; his beloved daughter, Brenda; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jaried. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Adrienne Aumock; a son, George J. Aumock Jr. of Maurertown, Va.; two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Larry Uher of Virginia Beach, and Cindy and Jack Matthews of Howell; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Shiloh, Dana, Rava, Josh, Logan and Kamryn.

JOHN H. "JACK" BAILLIE, 84, of the Adelphia section of HOWELL, died Friday, Sept. 15 at home. Mr. Baillie was born in Glasgow, Scotland and lived in Bloomfield before moving to Adelphia. Mr. Baillie worked for many years for A&P Company in Newark and Iselin, retiring in 1984. Jack participated with valor in some thirty World War II combat missions over enemy territory as a gunner with the 8th Army Air Force, earning the Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters and the European-African Theater Medal with three Bronze Stars. He brought that same steadfastness to his everyday life and his relations with all who knew him. He was an avid bowler and coached Babe Ruth baseball there. No description of him would be complete without mention of his unstinting support of the New York Mets over the past 44 years. Always active in the activities of his church, he was a member of the choir of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield and a eucharistic minister at several parishes in New Jersey. He also served more than 14 years as a volunteer for RENEW International.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Chkoski Baillie of Adelphia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Jeremiah Riley of Plainsboro, and Maureen and James Rogers of Basking Ridge; three grandchildren, Maureen Riley of Atascadero, Calif., Katherine Riley of San Francisco, and Kevin Riley of Columbus; a niece and her husband, Carol and Gary Schoening of Howell. His relatives abroad include Patricia Sprott of Scotland, Angus Sprott, Madge Campbell and Hazel John of London, and Joseph Baillie and his family of Melbourne, Australia.

AUGUST A. BARSALONA, 89, of FREEHOLD, died Saturday, Aug. 12, at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Mr. Barsalona was born in the Tottenville section of Staten Island and lived there until moving to Oak Hill in 1975 before settling in Freehold. He was a founder and co-owner with his wife of G & S Home Decorations, Eltingville and New Dorp, Staten Island, for over 45 years. Mr. Barsalona was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater aboard the USS Alabama. Mr. Barsalona was a former member of the Lions and Elks Clubs of Eltingville, Staten Island. He was the organizer of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on the South Shore and a member of the American Legion, Tottenville, Staten Island. He enjoyed and played semi-professional baseball.
Surviving are his wife, Imelda Barsalona of Lincroft; two sons, James Barsalona of Highlands, and Russell Barsalona of Lincroft; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

ROSE BASS, 88, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Saturday, April 14, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Bass was born in New York City and had lived in Arizona, Texas and Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Freehold Township in 1981. She was employed as a lunch room attendant at Marshall W. Errickson School in Freehold Township for 10 years, retiring in 1990.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Vera Bass of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle and Mitchell Gross, with whom she lived in Freehold Township, and Iris Rush of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Jason Gross, Melissa Gross Simon, Heather Flores and Matthew Rush; and five great-grandchildren, Lane Harmon, Zachary Flores, Lucey Rose Flores, Brittan Gross and Landon Gross.
All services are private. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the home of Michelle and Mitchell Gross in Freehold Township from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. For those who desire, memorial contributions in memory of Rose are requested to Camp Quality of N.J., P.O. Box 351, Adelphia, NJ 07710.

Doris Bearmore Bathgate, age 89, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood, NJ. Born in Adelphia, Howell Township, NJ on April 18, 1917, she was the daughter of Millard Fillmore Bearmore and Addie Southard Bearmore. Mrs. Bathgate lived in Howell Township for 69 years before moving to Lakewood Township 20 years ago. She was predeceased by her late husband, Lawrence “Bill” E. Bathgate in 1968, by her brother Stacy Bearmore and two sisters, Vivian Bearmore and Marie Bearmore Korski. Mrs. Bathgate was a member and former President of the Howell Twp. PTA, a Republican Committeewoman in Howell Twp., and a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church, Adelphia, NJ. She also held various volunteer positions in the community, including working at the Thursday afternoon bingo in Leisure Village and volunteering at the Paul Kimball thrift shop. She was also a member of the Italian-American Club at Leisure Village.
Mrs. Bathgate is survived by her loving children, Lawrence E. Bathgate, II, Bay Head, and Colin Lee Bathgate and his wife Tyonja of Frederick, MD, and Pamela Doris Husik and her husband Mark of Bayville, NJ. Ten adoring grandchildren: Lauren Bathgate, Leslie Bathgate Heaney, Lawrence E. Bathgate, III, Adam Husik, Tami Bathgate, Todd Bathgate, Colin Andrew Bathgate, Noël Bathgate, Colin Lee Bathgate, II and Gordie Bathgate, and six cherished Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Marion Bearmore of Brick and Mrs. Vera Bathgate Marquardt of Freehold, and many friends and extended family members, all of whom will miss her very much.
