BOMBARA, MARY E., 83 - of Waterford, died Sunday, July 11, 2004 at West Jersey Virtua, Berlin. Born in Italy, she was an area resident all her life. She retired as a salesperson from Ideal Manufacturing Company of Hammonton in 1984. Surviving are two sisters, Millie Olivo of Waterford, and Rose (Charles) McFadden of Woodbury; nieces and nephews, Marianne & Gary McDonnell, Paul & Linda McFadden, Patricia & James Sexton, and Frank & Amelia Olivo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, Pennington Ave., Waterford. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 p.m. Interment Berlin cemetery, Berlin. RYAN, JANE (BURNS), 87 - of formerly of Mays Landing and Egg Harbor City, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday July 9th, 2004 in Reston, VA.
She is survived by her younger of two sons, Robert and his wife Vanessa of Ashburn, VA, and her two grandsons Scan Ryan of Millbrook, NY and Jordan Ryan of Ashburn, VA. She was predeceased by her husband James A. Ryan and her older son Rev. James R. Ryan and her brother Leonard Burns.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church, Shore Road, Somers Point. Viewing one hour prior to the Mass. Burial, Veterans Memorial cemetery, Wrightstown. George H. Wimberg Funeral Home.

CORDERO, CARMON 37 - of Brigantine, died suddenly on Saturday, July 10,2004 at the Oceana Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Cape May Court House following a lingering illness.
Born and raised in Atlantic City, Mr. Cordero was employed by the City of Atlantic City in the Public Works Department-Asphalt Division. He was a member of and served as Trustee in, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employee's Union. An avid bowler. Carmon bowled on the Public Works Team at Showboat. He enjoyed cooking, especially for his family and friends. As his father before him, Carmon dressed as Santa during the Christmas holidays at parties for his cousins, niece and friends and appeared as Santa on the boardwalk as well. He especially enjoyed spending time with his niece, Riley.
He is predeceased by his farther Carmon Cordero. Surviving him are; his loving mother Loretta Cordero of Brigantine, brother Joseph Cordero and wife Suzette of Galloway, grandmother Litizia Cordero of Atlantic City, niece Riley Cordero of Galloway, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
The Funeral Mass for Carmon Cordero will be Celebrated 10am Thursday, July 15,2004, at St. Michael's Church 10 North Mississippi Avenue. Friends may call from 9am at the Church. The Rite of Committal will be offered at the Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC 2706 Atlantic Avenue AC.

DEVLIN, MARION A., 90 - of Manahawkin, died on July 16, 2004 at Southern Ocean Center, Manahawkin. She was born in South Amboy. She was a clerk for Blue Cross & Blue Shield for 25 yrs in Newark, retired in 1979. Past member of Fewsmith Church in Belleville, and order of the Eastern Star, Nutley Chapter121. She was a member of Fawn Lakes Women's Club and Manahawkin United Methodist Church, both of Manahawkin.
She was predeceased by her husband Frederick in 1952, and a son Frederick.
Surviving is her daughter Arlene & son-in-law William Bixby of Brigantine, grandchildren Karen Caliccho, Frederick Devlin, Marion Tortoriello, Lewis Devlin, Susan Hornecker and Matthew Devlin, also 13 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the Funeral Home, followed by interment at Cresthaven cemetery, Clifton. Viewing hours are on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Rd, Manahawkin, and Wednesday morning prior to the service. LEEDS, FLORA E. (NEE RYON) 90 - of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., passed away Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Shore Memorial Hospital with family at her side.
Flora was an area resident all her life. She was raised in Northfield graduating from Girls Vocational School of Atlantic City in 1930.
She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence, her sisters; Ruth Merrick, Evelyn Collins and her brother James Ryon.
Flora was a member of the General Lafayette Chapter of the DAR, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 69, Atlantic County Historical Society and the Lake Family Historical Association.
She is survived by her daughter: Irene Strang (Kenneth) of Linwood, her son: Robert Leeds (June) of Northfield, her grandchildren: Warren Strang (Anna) of EHT, Jeff Strang of Miss., Doug Strang (Andrea) of PA., and Bill Leeds (Tricia) of Northfield: her five great grandchildren: Bryanna, Sarah, Danielle, Douglas Strang and Cole Leeds: three step great grandchildren: Hepburn, Ian and Eric Best. Flora's favorite thing was being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 21, 2004 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to Northfield Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 122, Northfield, NJ 08225 or to the charity of one's choice.

LEGACKI, DOROTHY M., 78 - of Brigantine, died on July 16, 2004. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was employed as a clerk for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and moved to Brigantine 12 years ago following her retirement.
Dorothy is survived by her brother Thomas Legacki and his wife Elizabeth as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at her Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 8th Street, Brigantine. Interment will follow at Resurrection cemetery, Bensalem, PA. Family arrangements by Keates-Plum Funeral Home, Brigantine. (609) 646-3481

MACDONALD, CHARLES A., 73 - of North Cape May, died Wednesday July 14 in the Seashore Gardens Nursing Home, Galloway Township.
Mr. Macdonald was born in Pennsylvania. He lived many years in Blue Ball (Lancaster Co.) PA, and moved to this area in 2002.
Mr. Macdonald was a Guidance Counselor, and retired as the Director of Guidance Counselors for Moorestown High School, where he worked for 30 years.
He loved following high school football and wrestling, and especially enjoyed following his son Greg's wrestling career.
He is survived by: three daughters, Dori Perkins of North Cape May, Kathleen Olsen of ME, and Susan Macdonald of North Cape May; one son, Gregory Macdonald of North Cape May; a brother, Adelbert Macdonald of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren, Jamie Leigh Perkins, Liberty Olsen, and Anya Olsen.
Funeral services and burial were held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations are requested in his memory to: Hospice of Lancaster County, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125. (Sudak-Danaher F.H., Cape May).

HIGBEE, JUDY M., 59 - of Galloway Township, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2004 in the Shore Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle against breast cancer. Her loving husband of 39 years, Edward F. Higbee and all of her loving family were at her side.
Born in New York City, Judy moved to Atlantic City's Inlet section at age five, attended Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church and Grammar Schools, she was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. And since 1974 she has been a resident of Galloway Township, where she raised her children.
Surviving her are her loving husband Edward F. Higbee; two sons, Donald Higbee, Steven Higbee; her daughter Michelle Travagline and her husband, Joseph.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, beginning with a visitation time, 10 a.m., Thursday, July 22, 2004 at the H.M. Gormley Funeral Home, 44 North Albany Avenue, Atlantic City. Funeral Services will be offered at 11 a.m., followed by interment in the Leeds Point Community Church cemetery, Leeds Point.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Higbee's memory may be made to Gilda's Club of South Jersey, 602 N. North Carolina Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ. 08401.

PHILLIPS, FAITH ANN (DODGE), 50 - of Vineland, passed away on Sunday afternoon in the S.J.H. Newcomb Div. after being in failing health. Faith was born & raised in Elmer and had resided in Vineland for the past 21 yrs. She was the daughter of the late Stanley & Alma Grieves Dodge.
Before her health failed, Faith was employed as a secretary for National Freight Trucking Co. in Vineland & also for Pipco Transportation Co. in Rosenhayn. Faith was also employed as a part time secretary for the Vineland Board of Education. Faith was a 1971 Bridgeton High School graduate. She enjoyed visiting Atlantic City.
She is survived by her husband: Christopher A. Phillips, Vld; two sons: Andrew B. Wells, Brigantine, Jason Wells, Millville; three granddaughters: Krystin Megan Wells, Kayla Marie Wells, Kylie Morgan Wells; one sister: Hope Harris, Elmer; one brother: Edward & wife Marie Dodge, Greenwich; brothers in law: Paul & wife Patricia Peterson, Keith & wife Robin Peterson; nieces: Rachel Harris, Taryn Rosetti & Joanna Marie Peterson; nephews: Frank Bittle, Frank Rosetti, Keith Christopher Peterson & Paul Brian Peterson; aunts & uncles: Mary & husband Ted Frank, Milmay, Loretta "Maggie" Profeta, Marie & Bud Grieves, Ray Stephan, East Vineland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM on Monday in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, with burial to follow in the Chestnut Grove cemetery, Elmer. Relatives & friends will be received on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 PM & again on Monday from 9:00-10:00 AM at Pancoast's. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, Va. 22038.

CHINN, ALICE JENISE - of Pleasantville departed this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in the Atlantic City Medical Center, Galloway. Ms. Chinn was born in Newark. She has been an area resident for 24 years. She was employed at the Taj Mahal Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City as a Supervisor of Slots. Surviving are: her parents, Edith and William Davis of Galloway; her aunts, Alice Sellers of Bronx, NY and Janice McSween of Newark; one niece, Michelle Clark of Hillside; three special sisters, Stephanie Adkins of Branchburg, Phyllis Evans and Gail Hepburn-Bey, both of Pleasantville; a special brother, Richard Truman; a godson, Justin Adkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Mainland Baptist Church, 512 S. Pitney Rd., Galloway. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice's honor may be made to: Mainland Baptist Church Building Fund or RNS Regional Cancer Center, ACMC Mainland Division, Jimmie Leeds Rd., Pomona, NJ 08240. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Home, Atlantic City.

TANTUM, RICHARD E., 64 - of Ocean City, died Sunday at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Trenton and was an area resident for many years. Rick was a roofer and general contractor in Somers Point, until a horse back riding accident in 1975. He was an avid auto racer and an avid horseman where he was a past member of N.J. Game Horse Assoc. Member of the Somers Point Vol. Company #2. Rick served in the Air Force, based in Palermo. Rick built and was instrumental at the senior center in Somers Point. Rick loved life and was most grateful for seeing his children and grandchildren grow up. He will be missed. Predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Sarah Tantum Sr. His son Richard E. Tantum Jr., 1975 and his sister Mary. Survived by his former wife Jessica and her husband Dale Woods. Two daughter Lorie (Horst) Fischer and Kris Lucas. Two sisters Catherine V. Greene and Sarah Stoner. One brother, Wilfred Tantum Jr. Many nieces and nephew. Four grandchildren, Joshua, Lauren, Ally and Erika. Extended family members, Anne Johnson Agnes Trofa, Joe and Ed Mackin. Services will be held Thursday 10 a.m. at the Middleton Stroble and Zale Funeral Home, 304 Shore Road, Somers Point. Entombment Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

MATKOSKI, EMIL, 88 - of Longport, and North Ft. Myers, FL. passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2004 at home in Longport.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he had various business interests but loved his 20 year ownership of the Holiday Marina, followed by the management of Peek-A-Boo Marina both on Jerome Ave., in Margate. Emil was also the former manager of Corleto Buick used car in Phila. He was an avid boater, fisherman, hunter and was an excellent cook. A WW II Army veteran, he served in the Field Artillery of the 28th division from early 1941 to late 1945. serving under General Patton in the Battle of the Bulge.
Predeceased by two brothers and three sisters, he is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary C., a sister Catherine (Kitty) Corper, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 11 a.m. the Epiphany Church, Longport. Friends may call at the church starting at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 516 High St., Suite 11, Mt Holly, NJ 08060. Arrangements by the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, Ventnor.

TALLEY, LEROY, 55 - of Elm, died Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Elm for twelve years. He previously worked as a boiler repairman for Newman's Recycling in Philadelphia, and the City of Philadelphia Sanitation Department. Mr. Talley was an U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife: Armenter B. Talley; one son: Habib Talley of Philadelphia; one daughter: Erica Talley of Philadelphia; one sister: Ann Richardson of Philadelphia; one grandchild: Nyah Talley of Sicklerville, and three nephews: Anton Talley, Jamille Talley and Tarik Talley. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. Viewing will be held 9:30-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial at Oak Grove cemetery in Hammonton.

WENTWORTH, AMY D. 24 - of Port Norris, died suddenly Saturday at home. Born in Red Bank, she was the daughter of Wayne R. and Rev. Patricia Wentworth. She was formerly of Middletown Twp. and Florence before moving to Port Norris four years ago. Funeral services will be held at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd. Vineland on Thursday 11:00AM. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Middletown Twp. A viewing will be Wednesday from 7-9 PM with an Eastern Star Service.
