Sophie F. Hartshorn, age 86, of New Hampton, NH, formerly of New Egypt died Friday, September 28 at her residence. Born in Prague, Czech Republic, she had been a long time resident of New Egypt before moving to New Hampshire a short time ago.
Wife of the late Walter Hartshorn, Jr., Sophie is survived by family in the Czech Republic and by her good friends, Jim and Cheri Casadona of New Hampton, NH with whom she resided.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2 at 11: 00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be from 10: 00 to 11: 00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Emley’s Hill Cemetery in Cream Ridge.
Ernest J. Szimcsak

Ernest J. Szimcsak, age 79, of New Egypt died Thursday, September 27 at his residence. Born in Hamilton Township, he was a resident there before moving to New Egypt 41 years ago.
Ernie was a retired Iron Worker with the Ironworkers Local #68 in Hamilton Twp. He was a member of the New Egypt United Methodist Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion Post 455 in New Egypt.
Ernie was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family meant the world to him.
Husband of the late Nellie B. Szimcsak, who died on February 17, 2007, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn & Denny Errickson of New Egypt and Georgette & Greg Stankiewicz of Washington Twp., Gloucester Co.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Anita Szimcsak of Newtown, PA; three grandchildren, Tracey & Mike Amico of New Egypt and Kate Stankiewicz of Washington Twp. and two great grandchildren, Jess and David Amico.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 11: 00 AM at the New Egypt United Methodist Church, 38 N. Main Street in New Egypt, with Pastor Kim Wecht, officiating. Calling hours will be from 9: 00 to 11: 00 AM at the church. Interment will follow in Emley’s Hill Cemetery in Cream Ridge.

Harriet L. Good

Harriet L. (nee Kemble) Good, age 60, of New Egypt passed away Saturday, September 22 at Capitol Health System Fuld Campus in Trenton.
Born in Mt. Holly, Harriet grew up in Bordentown and graduated from Bordentown Regional High School in 1966. She moved to New Egypt in 1968. She had worked as a home health aide with Visiting Home Care of Ocean County. Harriet enjoyed crocheting, surfing the internet, coin collecting and had an adoring affection for hummingbirds, which she would admire each year from her deck. She was also a member of Sphinx Chapter 130 OES in New Egypt.
Predeceased by her father, Charles Kemble and her step father, Richard G. Bennett, Harriet is survived by her husband and best friend, John P. Good, Jr. of New Egypt; her mother, Dorothy Elaine Bennett of Rock Cave, WV; her loving children, Donald R. Earley of New Egypt, Janice Miller and husband Joe of Wrightstown and Lydia Barker and husband Charles of North Hanover Twp.; her step children, Jeanne Prince and husband Charles of Hamilton, John P. Good III and wife Amy of Phoenix, AZ, Kari Good of Mt. Holly, Amanda Phillips and husband John of Mt. Laurel, Kevin Good of Maple Shade and Kyle Good of Mt. Holly. She also leaves behind her sisters and brothers, Dorothy Haluska and husband Joseph of Fieldsboro, Donna Kemble of Winstead, CT, Lydia Mallon of Morrisville, PA, Michael Bennett of CA, Patricia Lamont of New Egypt, Lisa Ewashko of Bordentown, Donna Van Dyke of FL, Greg Bennett of Browns Mills and Laura Costner of Bordentown, as well as 16 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog “Zara”.
Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, September 25 from 2: 00 to 4: 00 PM and 6: 00 to 8: 00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26 at 10: 30 AM at the funeral home followed by committal services at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover Twp.
A luncheon will be held at the New Egypt Fire Co., Main Street in New Egypt following the burial.

Muriel E. Ameser, age 63, of Cream Ridge died Friday, September 21 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Haddonfield, she was a resident of the New Egypt area since 1985 and formerly of Scituate, RI.
Muriel was a devoted wife and mother and was previously employed as a legal secretary in Haddonfield and had been a member of the Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church.
Daughter of the late Richard & Muriel (Warne) Bimmer; she is survived by her husband, Michael Ameser; a son, Craig Michael Ameser of Washington; a daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Ameser of Mansfield Twp. and a brother, Richard Bimmer of Turnersville.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26 at 8: 00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com), with Pastor Robert Russell, officiating. Calling hours are on Wednesday evening from 6: 00 to 8: 00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Allentown, PA.

Ingeborg G. McKulsky, age 74, of Wrightstown died Sunday, June 22 at Burlington Woods in Burlington. Born in Germany, she was a resident of Wrightstown since 1984 and formerly of Bordentown.
She was a retired cosmetologist for Sav-On Pharmacies in Yardville.
Ingeborg is survived by her longtime companion, John Bennett of Wrightstown; a daughter & son-in-law, Stephanie and Fred Lane of New Egypt; two grandchildren, Travis & Jason Lane of New Egypt and brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews in Germany.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26 at 8: 00 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt. Calling hours will be from 6: 00 to 8: 00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Dorothy E. Duchat, age 86, of Yardley, PA died Sunday, June 22 at her residence. Born in New Egypt, she was a resident of Yardley since 1959.
Daughter of the late Frank P. & Gussie (Buckalew) Emery and mother of the late John Donnelly, she is survived by her husband, John Duchat of Yardley; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce & William Costic of Fairless Hills, PA; three sisters, Margaret Hurley of New Egypt, Thelma Raymer of Dewitt, PA and Lorraine Hanley of Somersville, SC, two grandchildren, Kristie Dean of Levittown, PA and Jackie Donnelly of North Carolina and several nieces & nephews.

Margaret L. “Peggy” Bunning, age 69, of Browns Mills died Friday, June 20 at Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro after a long illness. Born in Trenton, she was a lifetime area resident.
Peggy was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Erickson. She is survived by her husband, Warren Marks of Browns Mills; her children, Ken Bunning and wife Andrea of Browns Mills, Susan Atkinson of Shamong, Tammy Hopkins and husband Gary of Pemberton and Brian Marks and wife Dawn of Tabernacle; a son-in-law, Dave Erickson of Browns Mills; her grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Jennifer, Frankie, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Noah and Brandy; her great grandchildren, Casey and Catrina and also survived by many friends.

Charlotte E. Hyman, age 75, of East Windsor died Monday, June 16 at the Princeton Medical Center in Princeton. Born in New Lisbon, she was a resident of New Egypt for 30 years before moving to East Windsor 10 years ago.
Wife of the late Allan L. Hyman, Charlotte is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Capak of East Windsor, a grandson, Mark Capak, Jr. of East Windsor, three brothers, Eugene Fulmer of Florida, David Fulmer of North Carolina and Richard Fulmer of Browns Mills, two sisters, Grace Horton of New Egypt and Patricia Langlois of Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.

Alice M. Keane, age 77, of Jackson died Monday, June 16 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Born in Johnstown, PA, she was a resident of Jackson for the past 35 years and formerly of Elizabeth.
Wife of the late John Keane, she is survived by two sons, Dennis Novosel and wife Rosemarie of Allentown and George Novosel of Sayreville, her longtime companion, Edward Woodruff of Lakewood, two sisters, Margaret Piekul of California and Betty DeFiore of Pennsylvania, four grandchildren. George, James, Dennis and Melissa Novosel and three great grandchildren, Laci, Luke and Ava Novosel.
