DEL MONICO, ELEANOR G., 84 - a Somers Point resident for one and a half years, formerly of Ventnor, died January 31, 2004. She is survived by her son Robert and his wife Clara, of Somers Point, a daughter Elizabeth Steinberg of Marlton, a brother Anthony Fusillo, of Florida, a sister Rita, and her husband Bill Fuder of Ventnor, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood. Burial is private.
SACCHINELLI, STELLA I., (nee Chiola) 81 - of Mays Landing, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2004 at the home of her daughter, Patricia Butterhof. Stella was born in the Nicetown area of Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Edmund and Rose Chiola. She moved to Mays Landing as a child. Stella attended the Mays Landing public school system and graduated from Holy Spirit High School Class of 1941. She worked at Kimball Glass during World War II and was active with the USO. She had her own ice cream store in Mays Landing during the mid 1940's and also worked at Court Drugs for many years. She also worked as a secretary in many local businesses and also as a legal secretary in Atlantic City. She was a hospital volunteer for many years and worked at the Hess School in the library. She was a lector at St. Vincent DePaul Church and was a member of the Marian Movement of Priests. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Butterhof and her husband, Paul and grandchildren, Richard and Jennifer; her brothers, Ercole P. Chiola (Ruth) of Sullivans Island, SC and John Chiola (Patricia) of Mays Landing; her sister, Rose Ann Chiola Dukanovic of Galloway and numerous nieces and nephews. Stella was predeceased by her twin brother, Edward and her brother, Oscar E. Chiola. A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2004 and 9:30 AM to 10:30AM, Friday, February 6, 2004 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Route 50, Mays Landing, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Church or ACMC Hospice Program. MASON, JR., JOHN GUNTHER 57 - of Atlantic City, died Saturday, January 31, 2004. Born in Absecon, he was the son of the late John G. and the late Frances (Purvis)Mason Jr.
He was a retired Bricklayer having retired from the local 33 Bricklayers Union. He also was a US Army Veteran.
He is survived by a son, John G. Mason, III, a sister, Marybeth Warner and husband, Bill of Absecon, a grandson, John G. Mason IV of Egg Harbor City; a step son, David Robinson of Pleasantville, a step daughter, Kim Dalesandro of PA; a step grandchild, Noel Jenkins of PA; step grandchildren, Angela and Christa Dalesandro of PA; step grandchildren, David and Brittany Robinson of Pleasantville. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Mason in 2002.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 7:00pm at Adams-Perfect Funeral homes, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ 08225. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday evening from 6pm until 7pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, 2009 Bacharach Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
BOCCIA, ROSEMARY, 51 - of Buena, died Monday, February 2, 2004 at her mother's home in Belmar.
She was a graduate of Seton Hall University, Master Degree in Counseling and Guidance. Taught at St. Catharine School, Spring Lake. Youth Director at Sacred Heart Church, Riverton. She was an Administrative Manager in the Department of Nursing and the Assistant Registrar at Jefferson Medical College. She also worked for the Department to Human Resources and patient services at Jefferson University Hospital. she worked at Jefferson in these various positions from 1983-2001. Communicant of St. Isodore's Parish, Vineland.
Predeceased by her father, Frank E. Boccia in 1999.
Survived by her mother, Maria Scanniello Boccia, Belmar; one brother, Gene Boccia, Belmar; one sister an brother-in-law, Maria and Michael Cassidy of Belmar; her companion, Bonnie Lilliston of Buena; three nieces; two nephews; her aunts and uncles, Frank and Patricia Scanniello, Benjamin Scanniello, Edward and Madeline Boccia; dear cousins, friends and co-workers of Thomas Jefferson Teaching Hospital.

CASTELLANO, ANNA M., 67 - of North Cape May, died on February 2, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Cape May, she was a lifelong area resident. she was a 1954 graduate of Cape May High School. Mrs. Catellano was a member of St. Raymond's Church.
Surviving are her husband, Andy; two sons, Nick and wife, Nicole of N. Cape May and Gino and wife, Tina of Cape May Court House; a daughter, Ann Marie and husband, Bill Donnelly of Ne. Cape May; five grandchildren, Will, Kaitlin, Nico, Frankie and Michael; two brothers, Raymond Velli of Rio Grand and Eugene Velli of Cape May and two sister, Louise De Santo of Fairfax, VA and Josephine Coombs of N. Cape May.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Virginia Velli of Cape May.
Anna loved spending time with her family and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She had many friends and will be missed.
Mass of Christian buri8al will be celebrated on Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Raymond's Church, Bayshore and Ocean Ave., Villas, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. MARKMAN, DAVID, 95 - of Margate, passed away February 2, 2004 at Seashore Gardens Living Center in Galloway.
He was a longtime Margate resident who operated a jitney in Atlantic City for forty-years. He was a former member of Beth El Synagogue in Margate and was active in the Margate Senior Citizen's Group and also the Rosen Senior Citizen Group in Atlantic City.
Surviving are his daughters Linda (Irv) Rotter and Sharon (Richard) Behal; grandchildren Merle and Jay Feldman; Laurie and David Goldenberg, Elyse Shore, Brian Rotter, and Marsha Heit; great-grandchildren Corey and Allie Feldman, Jared and Alex Goldenberg, and Elizabeth Heit.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at 1 P.M. at the Beth Kehillah cemetery in Egg Harbor Township.
Contributions may be made to the Philadelphia Region of Women's American ORT Organization.
Arrangements are by the Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel of Atlantic City.
SCOTT, JAMES W., 92 - a local area resident, died on Friday, February 6, 2004, at the Victoria Manor. Mr. Scott was born in Steelton, PA and had previously lived in Plainfield. He also lived at the Angelsea Beach Colony and the Villas.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He formerly worked for the New Jersey Central Railroad and then worked for Col. Joseph A. Aer in Governor's Island as a butler and chauffeur.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Emilie in 2001.
He is survived by his daughter, Nina Scott of Maple Shade; a grandson, Raymond Scott and a great grandson, Quinton Scott; a brother-in-law, Eugene Allen of Columbia, SC; three cousins, Bertha Kennedy and Rosetta Paige of Harrisburg, PA and Francine Bean of New York City; several nieces and nephews and a special friend and caregiver who he thought of as a daughter, Evelyn McClurkin of Burleigh.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church, E. DeWITT, JOHN DANIEL (J.D.), 74 - of Pleasantville, died Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Our Ladies Residence following a short illness. Born in Loris, South Carolina. Mr. DeWitt was lifelong resident of Pleasantville. He had worked over 35 years at the Seven Up Company in Bridgeton.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Turner DeWitt of Pleasantville; six Children: Jerry Wayne of New York, Cora Davis Inman, John and Frances DeWitt of Pleasantville, Richard DeWitt and Davia Hopkins of Georgia; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

PRICE, NORMAN B. 75 - of Egg Harbor Township, died Sunday home.
He was born in Atlantic City. Norman was a former member of the Yacht Club of Pleasantville. He also was a member of the VFW Cardiff Post. He loved to spend his time fishing.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Price, two daughters: Sue Reynolds and her husband, Rudy of Egg Harbor Township, Sally Gill and her husband, Robert of Egg Harbor Township, and one son: Norman H. Price of Galloway, his sister: Evelyn Gilbert of Egg Harbor Township, and his brother: Stanley and his wife, Betty of FL; five grandchildren, Dawn Cheeseman, Jamie Lynn Heritage, Shawn Butcher, Robbie Gill and Jacob Feinberg and three great granddaughters.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Roman Catholic Church, 25 W. Verona Avenue, Pleasantville.

REESE, GLADYS M. (Griffith), 84 - of Northmont, PA, died February 22nd at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA, where she had been for five years.
She was the widow of Ward W. Reese, Sr., who died December 23, 1996.
Born in Louisa, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtle Griffith.
She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.
Reese is survived by a daughter, Carolyn M. (Reese) wife of Ernie Mathis of Gig Harbor, Washington, a son, Ward W. Jr., husband of MaryLou Reese of Ocean View, and two grandchildren, Ben Reese of Hollywood, California, and Lydia Reese of Haddonfield.
Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Alsace Lutheran Church, 2201 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park, PA, Rev. Mark Brophy officiating. Viewing 10 a.m. until time of service in the church. BOLTON, JAMES A. 69 - of Egg Harbor City, died Monday in the Atlantic City Medical Center, Galloway.
Born in Linwood, he was the son of the later William and the late Mary (Parker) Bolton.
He was a self employed Shell Fisherman and was a lifelong area baymen. He was a member of Bethany St. Johns United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golf and also enjoyed his winters in Florida.
He is survived by three daughters: Kathie Curran of Galloway, Debra Saunders of Holland, PA., Christine Accardi of Galloway, and two sons: James Bolton of Egg Harbor City, William Bolton of Bensalem, PA; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers and seven sisters; and his companion of 18 years Rose Norris of Egg Harbor City. He was preceded in death by his brother, William G. Bolton.
