Buganski, Dorothy A.
Dorothy A. Buganski, 91, of Eldora, passed away on March 14, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Francis and Mary Schweibinz, she has lived in this area since age 8, spending the last 35 years in Eldora. She was a member of St. Casimir's Church in Woodbine. She was a correspondent for the Atlantic City Press, Cape May County Gazette, and the Cape May County Times. Formerly a Cub Scout Leader, she worked at Feit's Clothing Factory before owning and operating the E. Dorado Motel for the last 35 years. She loved to travel whenever she could. Hawaii was her favorite place to visit.
Mrs. Buganski is survived by her children, Dorothy (Frank) Cifoni of Belleplain, Lillian (Bill) Royle of Petersburg, and James (Sandee) Buganski of Millville; her brother, Richard (Betty) Schweibinz of Petersburg; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob; her daughter Frances (John) Lewis; her brothers Joe, John, and Francis Schweibinz; and her sisters Agnes Youcum and Lillian Schweibinz.
Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir's Church, 304 Clay Street, Woodbine. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, March 17 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Jaep, Beatrice M.
Beatrice M. Jaep, 87, of Villas, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, PA to the late William and Elsie (Krall) Webster, she has lived here for over 25 years. She was a member of the New Life Church in Villas. She worked at Whale's Tale in Cape May and was an avid gardener.
Mrs. Jaep is survived by her sons, Michael Wendel of West Lake, LA and Jeffrey Wendel of Downingtown, PA; her daughter, Cynthia Goodroe of North Cape May; her nine grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at the Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene, 446 Seashore Road, Erma. Donations in Beatrice's memory may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 20 Pine Mill Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 (www.deborahfoundtion.org).
Jefferson, Jr., Raymond "Buzz" A.
Raymond A. Jefferson, Jr., "Buzz", 62, of Woodbine, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 doing what he loved, giving a Bible discourse. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Raymond A. and Sadie Jefferson, Sr., he lived in Woodbine for over 30 years after living in Wildwood. He was employed as maintenance supervisor at Woodbine Developmental Center. He was an active member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Woodbine.
A Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, he loved cars, music, and chess. He was an avid cruiser and loved everything about cars. He enjoyed collecting and building model cars. The son of a professional trumpet player, Buzz was previously a DJ and sang in a Doo Wop Band in high school.
Buzz is survived by his wife, Ruth Brenda Jefferson; his daughters, Ruth Brenda Jefferson and Nykhesia N. Jefferson; his brothers, Ronald Jefferson and wife Fran, David Jefferson and wife Brenda, and George Jefferson; his sister, Roseann Jefferson; his mother in law, Ruth Gaines; his sisters in law, Pamela Johnson and husband James, and Margaret Elias and husband Joe; his six grandsons, Marcus (who lived with him), Lloyd, Tyrome Williams, Tyrique Williams, Tainel Williams, and Jaizir Williams. and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
Johnson, Delores
Delores Johnson, 73, of Wildwood, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Graham, NC to the late Willie Lee and Cleady (Wade) Vincent, she lived here for 55 years. She was a cottage training technician at the Woodbine Developmental Center and was a member of the Angel Visit Baptist Church. A breast cancer survivor, she enjoyed old westerns, TV Land, gardening and plants, and shopping.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children Albert B. Johnson of Whitesboro, Lionel Johnson of Mays Landing, and Lori A. Wooten of Raleigh, NC; her sisters Geneva Robinson of Wildwood, Christine Fuller of High Point, NC, and Linda "Carrie" McDowell of Morrisville, NC; and her four grandchildren Nicole C. Johnson, Kayla and Alexis Wooten, and Zackariya Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro. Yearicks, Ida Mae
Yearicks, Ida Mae, 88, of Del Haven, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Cedarville to the late William Henry Harrison and Florence Verna (Little) Bailey, Jr., she was a lifetime resident of this area. She was a member of Grace Gospel Chapel in Rio Grande and the Order of the Eastern Star Cape May 156.
Mrs. Yearicks is survived by her son George H. Yearicks of Rio Grande; her daughter Ida Florence Van Horn of Kirbyville, MO; her five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George K. Yearicks on June 17, 2003.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Grace Gospel Chapel, 3802 Route 9 South, Rio Grande, NJ 08242.
Lynch, Daniel S.

Lynch, Daniel S., 90, of Goshen passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia to Daniel and Jennie (formerly Haig) Lynch, they moved to the area 80 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later worked as Produce Manager at Acme Supermarkets. He was a volunteer fireman in Goshen and a member of the American Legion Post 198 in Cape May Court House. He was predeceased by his wife Lura (formerly Hardman) in 2007.
Mr. Lynch is survived by his son Dan (Nancy) Lynch of Cape May Court House and his granddaughter Sara.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment is private.
Brandl, Catherine M.
Catherine M. "MeMe" (nee Babl) Brandl, on March 6, 2010 peacefully at age 97 at her residence, Wesley Manor, Ocean City, NJ. Predeceased by husband, Max and dear son, Robert. She will forever be in the hearts of devoted daughter Cathy (Bill) Feaster and son Mark (Cathy) Brandl, daughter-in-law Joanne Brandl, sister Thelma Johnson, nieces Sister Tammy Steiger HSF, Bobby Germain, and nephews Clint Frick and Dewey Babl, as well as 8 loving grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and soon to be 15 adored great grandchildren. Hers was a life well lived.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Memorial Mass to celebrate her life at Saint Denis RC Church, 2401 Saint Denis Lane, Havertown, PA 19083 on Thursday March 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Denis cemetery following Mass.
Welsh, John B.
John B. Welsh, 88, of Burlington, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010. Born in Harrisburg, PA to John and Julia (formerly McNeely) Welsh, he worked as an electrical engineer for Bendix Eclipse Pioneer in Teterboro, NJ and also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. John's Lodge #1 F.& A.M. for 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita (formerly McIntosh); his son, John (Pat) Welsh; sister-in-law, Eunice Ellis; granddaughter, Stacy; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist cemetery, 2373 U.S. Rt. 9, Ocean View, NJ 08230.
Vance-Reiff, Joan Carol
Joan Carol Vance-Reiff, 65, of Harrington, Delaware, lost a short battle with cancer on Thursday, March 4, 2010. She was born in Montclair, New Jersey the daughter of the late Renwick & Florence Vandyke. She was married to the late William "Bill" H. Vance. Joan moved to Staten Island, NY and in 1989 married her husband, Manny Reiff. Joan & Manny moved to Harrington, Delaware in March of 2005. Joan was a member of the Middle Township Ambulance Corp. from mid to late '70's. During her children's childhood her & her late husband Bill enjoyed coaching their t-ball & soccer teams. She also was the local Girl Scout Leader from 1974-1984. Joan enjoyed spending time horseback riding with her horse, Hero. She never missed an episode of General Hospital, loved knitting, crocheting, arts & crafts & was big animal lover.
Joan is survived by her daughter Kymberli Clarke and husband, James and their children Tiffany & Jimmy; her son Eric and fiancée, Theresa. She was most proud of her grandson, William.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, with graveside funeral services immediately following at Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
Adams, Sr., Thomas W.
Thomas W. Adams, Sr., "The Silver Fox", age 86, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on March 3, 2010. He was born in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late David P. and Mary Shannon Adams.
He was a retired mail courier for Cape May County Board Of Chosen Freeholders and had worked at the Princeton Grille in Avalon, NJ as a bartender in the 1980's. He served in the Navy during World War II. Tom was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, Knights Of Columbus, and former member of the Elks of North Willdwood, a charter member of the Cape Harmonaires, the Republican Organization and the RSVP of Cape May County.
He is survied by his children: Thomas, Jr. (Terry); Martin (Linda); Edward (Companion, Josette); Denise (Michael) Shepherd; Mary Adams; Cathy (John) Harford; Trisha (Shawn) Bulifant; Anne (Harry) Cowan; and Diana Adams; twenty one grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ, followed by services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private in Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Beatty, Ruth H.
Ruth Boyd Beatty passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Crest Haven Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born in Clarkton, North Carolina to the late Andrew J. and Lutilla (Spaulding) Boyd, she and her husband, John, moved to Whitesboro, New Jersey in 1942. She was a graduate of Farmers Union High School in Clarkton, NC, where she was valedictorian of her class.
Mrs. Beatty enjoyed assisting others in the community and participating in community affairs. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Whitesboro, NJ, where she was a member of a number of organizations including the Usher Board and Pastor's Aid. She enjoyed reading and had a special fondness for animals.
Mrs. Beatty is survived by her foster daughter, Barbara Ann Boyd, of Stockton, CA; her sisters, Emma Mitchell (Alton) of Clarkton, NC, Naomi Howard (Ted) of Plainfield, NJ, Hilda Coleman (Richard) of Clarkton, NC, Alice Richardson (Don) of Cape May Court House, NJ, Hope Giles (Leonard) of Fort Valley, GA and Nina Boyd of Clarkton, NC; her brothers Roosevelt Boyd (Jong) of Peyton, CA, Aaron Boyd (Betty) of Clarkton, NC and Andrew Boyd, Jr. (Marie) of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Calvin, Rhonda, Donna, Lydia, William and Ruth Ann; her great-grandchildren, Eyan and Gabrielle; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Her husband, John H. Beatty, her daughter, Gladys Harper, her stepmother, Jannie Young Boyd, and her brothers, Joseph, Samuel and George Ervin, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 8 West Main Street, Whitesboro, where viewing will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro.

Joseph Leo Burke, Jr., 72, of North Wildwood, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Scanlon) Burke, Sr., he lived here for the last four years after moving from Ivyland, PA. He served in the U.S. Marines and worked for the U.S. Post Office in Philadelphia.
Mr. Burke is survived by his children, Kristine (Michael) DeMarco of Doylestown, PA, Sheila Burke of Philadelphia, and Joseph Michael (Michelle) Burke of Doylestown, PA; his sisters, Mary Monahan and Margie Gardner; his brothers, John, William, Thomas, Jerry, and Michael Burke; and his three grandchildren, Michael, Samuel, and Katharine DeMarco. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2004.

Gallagher, Winifred G.
Winifred G. Gallagher, 95, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thomas and Winifred McCann, she moved to this area 44 years ago from East Coventry, Chester Co. She lived in Stone Harbor for 15 years before moving to Cape May Court House 29 years ago.
Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her daughter, Winifred Mary Gallagher of New York City; her son, James T. Gallagher of Bosque, NM; her five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Gallagher on November 29, 1998.

Maude Day, age 88, of Erma, NJ, died on Thursday, February 25, 2010. She was born and raised in Fishing Creek, NJ the daughter of the late Gordon and Mary Sheets Yearicks.
She was a member of the Eastland Golf Club of Vineland, NJ and the Cape May County Riding Club. She is survived by her children: Bruce (Lois) Murdock of Phoenix, AZ; Barbara Ann (Rich) Grayo of Villas, NJ; Monny (Eleanor) Day of North Cape May, NJ and John (Rhenell) Day of King George, VA; a brother: Floyd Yearicks of Cape May Court House, NJ; and a sister: Clara Robinson of Del Haven, NJ; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman M. Day in 1999.
