Pettit, Frances P.
Pettit, Frances P., 65, of Woodbine passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010. Born in Atlantic City to Charles and Anna (formerly Zerkis) Sule, she worked for the Borough of Woodbine for 31 years as Municipal Clerk and Tax Collector. She was a member and past president of the Cape May County Municipal Clerks Association, the Executive Board of the Atlantic County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund, Clerks Association of the State of New Jersey, and the American Red Cross.
She is survived by her daughter Deanna Pettit-Lewis and her husband Danny; her cherished granddaughter Dakota Lewis; her brother Robert Sule and his two sons Robert and Marc; and many other family members, close friends and her beloved cat Uni.
A Memorial Service will be held of Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment is private. Donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 850 N. Franklin Blvd., Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
DeLollis, Louis

Mr. Louis DeLollis of Cape May Court House, New Jersey died peacefully on July 4, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Mr. DeLollis was born in Bedford, Ohio on August 25, 1920, the second of four sons to Mario and Grace (Corona) DeLollis. After graduation from Bedford High School, Mr. DeLollis joined the Navy and served onboard the USS Frankford (DD-497) as a Machinist's Mate 3rd Class for the duration of World War Two. The Frankford participated in many campaigns, including the invasions of Normandy and southern France in 1944, and served as part of the screen protection for President Roosevelt when he travelled to Malta in 1945. The Frankford also saw action in the Pacific campaign.
After the war, Mr. DeLollis, en route to New York on a train, met his future wife, Lucille Trotta. They were married on July 10, 1946 and made their home in the Bronx. In the early 1950's they moved to Cape May County where they raised their family while Mr. DeLollis worked as a mechanic for U.S. Overseas Airlines, which operated from the Cape May County Airport. Mr. DeLollis later worked as a shipping supervisor for Airwork in Millville, New Jersey until his retirement. Mr. DeLollis was an avid golfer and reader, but received his greatest pleasure by spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Lucille (Trotta) DeLollis, son George (Marge) DeLollis of Cape May Court House, daughters Carla (Joseph) Russo of Cape May Court House, and Betty (Barry) Shapiro of Somers Point, New Jersey, six grandchildren, one great- grandson, his brother Frank DeLollis of Bedford, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Saturday, July 10 from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Angels Church, 35 Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Interment will be at Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, 780 Seashore Road, Lower Township. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to The American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
Iaconis, Jr., Robert
Iaconis Jr., Robert, 45, of Dennis Township passed away on Sunday, July 4th, 2010. Born in Rockville Centre, NY to Robert and Lorraine, he moved with his family to the area when he was 2 years old. He worked as a Computer Technician at the Cape May County Technical High School.
Robert is survived by his wife Christine (formerly O'Connor) and his sons Nicholas and Joseph; his father Robert (Lora) Iaconis, Sr. and his mother Lorraine (Gary) Plemmons; sister Kathy (Mike) Raudabaugh and brother Rich (Michelle) Iaconis; nieces and nephews Jessica, Michael, Allen, Heather, Lauren, Brittany, Haley Rose, and Zackary; his Aunt Jodi (John) Hickum; and in-laws Michael O'Connor, Alma Jean (Carl Ceragno) O'Connor, Pat (Chris) O'Connor, Lorraine O'Connor, and Veronika O'Connor.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 9th, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment is private. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the Cape May County Technical High School, 188 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 for a scholarship to be established in Robert's name.
Langford, Janice W.
Janice W. Langford, Janice W., 81, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010. Born in Stevens, NJ to the late Paul and Torell (Harris) Wilson, she moved to Cape May County in 1939 and was a 1947 graduate of Wildwood High School.
Mrs. Langford is survived by her four children, Jil Hollenbach of Havertown, PA, Mark Langford of Cape May Court House, Lana O'Neill of Cape May Court House, and Lyn Langford of Ocean City; six grandchildren; and one great grandson. Funeral services will be private.
Bertan, Michael

Bertan, Michael, 77, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Born in Jersey City to Michael and Susan (formerly Ochman) Bertan, he served in the U.S. Marines before working for New Jersey Transit as Bus Operations Supervisor. He moved from Lyndhurst to this area in 1995 after retiring and was a member of the Marine Corps League Dramis Detachment, Devil Dog Division, and also the American Legion Post #198 of Cape May Court House.
He is survived by Lucille (formerly Polento), his wife of 55 years; his daughter Joanne (Robert) Torres of Somerset, his son Michael (Patricia) Bertan of Rockaway, his brother James of Virginia, grandchildren Susan, Lauren, Kim, and Anthony, and great grandchild Colin.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Reynolds, William C.
William C. Reynolds, of Stone Harbor, beloved father of Margaret Reynolds and Susan Reynolds and beloved grandfather of Alex Reynolds, died at Cape Regional Medical Center on June 29, 2010. He was in no pain.
A graduate of Friends Select School and Guilford College, he taught History at Mercer County Community College for 35 years until his retirement to his home at the Jersey Shore in Stone Harbor several years ago. A member of the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor for many years, he was on the sailing patrol committee. He was an avid fisherman, sailor, boater and NASCAR fan. An accomplished chef, carpenter and bridge player, he lived his retirement enjoying these activities. In addition, he liked to travel and visited New Orleans many times in his retirement years.
As per his wishes there will be no services. Donations in his name may be sent to Alice Lloyd College, 100 Purpose Road, Pippa Passes, KY 41844.
Washington, Etta Marie
Etta Marie Washington was born in Farrell Pennsylvania on October 10, 1920 to the late George Walter Davis and Cottie Lee (Moore) Davis. She lived in Summit, NJ until the family moved to Cape May Court House around 1929. As a child she attended St. Stephen's AME Church in Whitesboro, with the family. She graduated from Middle Township High School in 1938. She then moved to Philadelphia seeking employment and later working as an Executive Secretary for 37 years in different department stores, most recently Gimbels.
While living in Philadelphia, she met Samuel Johnson and they were married on October 26, 1942. In 1973, after 31 years of marriage, he passed away very suddenly. Three years later she married a friend of theirs, Joseph Washington. He passed away in 1976, after six months of marriage. While in Philadelphia she joined the Cathedral of Praise Church and became a very active member under the direction of Min. LaVerne Adams. She not only was the Church Treasurer, she belonged to numerous auxiliaries, one of which was her expertise at baking and cooking for various church functions.
She returned to Cape May Court House in 2001 with her sister, the late Martha Davis Johnson, residing with her niece, Celestine George, while awaiting the construction of her new home. They were our Golden Girls, living, loving, laughing and traveling together as family. Before her passing, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Whitesboro, NJ and was a devoted Deaconess as well as a member of the Missionary and Pastors Aide Ministries, under the direction of Rev. George E. Thompson.
Etta is survived by two devoted nieces, Celestine George and Dollie Price, both of Cape May Court House. Nephews, Edward Price of Atlantic City, Arnold Johnson and his wife Grace, of Sicklerville, and Edward Johnson of Philadelphia, PA; one special brother-in-law, James Whitsett, of Sicklerville, step-daughter Earline Carr of Ithaca, NY; a special Godchild Sharman Robinson of Sicklerville, several grand nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and life-long friends, and church families.
We cherish your memory, Aunt Etta.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 12 noon at First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, Rt. 9 and Main St., Whitesboro, NJ 08252. Viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery in Whitesboro.
Golaszewski, Veronica "Ronnie" A.
Veronica "Ronnie" A. Golaszewski, age 86 years, of Villas, NJ died at her home on Saturday, June 26, 2010. Born in Belmar, NJ to the late Joseph Keating & Susan Lukens she has been a lifetime Cape May County resident and member of St. Raymond's Church. She enjoyed gardening, was a gifted crocheter and enjoyed passing the time reading a good book.
She was preceded in death by her son Lance in 1995. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Zigmund "Ski" Golaszewski, her two sons; Stephen and his wife Casi Golaszewski of Cape May Court House & Donald and his wife Claire Golaszewski of Manassas, VA, her daughter-in-law JoAnn Golaszewski of Villas, fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral Liturgy 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. Raymond's Church, Bayshore Road, Villas, NJ where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 am. Interment in Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. In lieu of flowers Mass cards are appreciated.
Kajetzke, Otto Albert

Kajetzke, Otto Albert, 73, of Avalon passed away on June 22 at North Cape Center , N. Cape May. The second son of Johann and Wilhelmina-Marie (Ludwig) Kajetzke, Otto was born on April 3rd, 1937 in Rucksnen, Lithuania. He was a 1956 graduate of Roselle High School, a US Army veteran, and employed at National State Bank of Elizabeth Computer Center from 1956-1994 as a programmer, systems analyst and senior computer operations officer.
Before moving to Avalon in 1996, Otto was a 40 year resident of Freehold, NJ, where he was an active leader in the soccer community. For 25 years he coached recreational and traveling teams for both boys and girls, he served as president of the Freehold Soccer League, and he played in the Freehold Over 40 Friendship League. He retired to Avalon where he enjoyed bird watching, boating, fishing, crabbing, and cooking.
Preceded in death by his second daughter Karen, Otto is survived by his dearly devoted wife of nearly 44 years Eileen (Carter) Kajetzke, his elder brother Henry, his three beloved children Kevin, Christine, Laura and her husband Steven Weiss, and three grandchildren Scott, Katherine, and Julia Weiss.
He was a loyal and loving friend, father and husband with a wealth of character and strength who will be forever missed.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, July 1st, at Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton-Adelphia Rd. Freehold, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.

Brown, Francis L., 70, of Woodbine passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Born in Forked River to James and Rose (formerly Taylor) Brown he moved to the area over 30 years ago and was a heavy equipment operator for Earthworks. He enjoyed building and fishing but mostly loved to go camping.
He is survived by his son James (Karen) of Georgia; daughters Kelley (Mark) Robbins of Washington and Kathleen of Pleasantville; brothers Elmer and Franklin; sister Margaret Wooten; grandchildren Mark Jr. and Allie Robbins; and his companion of many years Louise Masterson of Cape May Court House.

Roy Andrew Newhard, Jr., age 82 years, of North Cape May died on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Roy Andrew Newhard, Sr. & MaryEllen Dunn and moved in 1985 to Cape May County. He was a Program Analyst for Singer-Kearfott Manufacturing Company in Wayne, NJ and was a WW II Merchant Marines & Coast Guard veteran. He is survived by his wife Anna G. (nee Ferrante) Newhard, his daughter Joanna Landers of Cape May Court House, his son Roy, III and his wife Kathleen Newhard of Fort Worth, TX, brother Thomas and his wife Arlene Newhard of Strausburg, PA, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Frank, Richard F.
Frank, Richard F., 72, of Cape May Court House passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010. Born in Haverstraw, NY, he later lived in Averill Park and worked for Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #7 of Albany. He moved to the area 12 years ago to live with his daughter Melissa and was known as "Pops" to local fisherman and the patrons of the Corner Cafe where he ate breakfast every morning.
He is survived by his wife JeanAnn (formerly Maskell); his daughter, Melissa (George) Briggs of Cape May Court Houes, sons Richard, Glenn, and Cory of New York; brothers and sisters; and grandchildren: Patrick and Shane Briggs and Justin, Richard, Aimee, Nicholas, and Brendan Frank.

Shirley M. Henderson, 73, of Cape May, NJ, died on Sunday, June 13, 2010. She was a lifetime resident of Cape May County. Survived by her brother, Carl Henderson. Service and interment private.
McCall, Thelma L.
McCall, Thelma L., 94, of Cape May Court House passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010. Born in Philadelphia to Karl and Anna (formerly Braun) Lentz, she moved to the area two years ago after living in Turnersville and Thorofare, NJ most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband Robert J. McCall in 1985. She was also predeceased by her grandchild Kyle.
She is survived by her children: Patricia Dougherty of Cape May Court House, Roberta Deaver of Mexico, Mary (Anthony) Rosato of Maryland, Marjorie Zinsavage of Mexico, and Robert J. Jr. (Sheryl) of New Hampshire; as well as 22 grandchildren.

Hodges, Debra A., 56, of Cape May Court House passed away Thursday, August 5th, 2010. Born to Robert and Marna Petitt-Bradshaw, she lived her whole life in the area. She formerly worked for National West Bank and was predeceased by her husband Robert Hodges in 2007.
Debra is survived by her son, R.J. Hodges and his girlfriend Brooke Higgins of Rio Grande; and her parents.
