Greene, Robert M.
Greene, Robert M. (BooBoo) 49, departed life suddenly on Monday, January 3, 2011 in Whitesboro, NJ. He was born July 27, 1961 to Janet Greene of Cape May, NJ. BooBoo was a lifelong resident and native of Cape May and West Cape May until he built his home in Whitesboro, NJ just a few years ago. He attended Cape May Elementary and Lower Cape May Regional High School in Cape May, NJ. In 1976 at the age of 15 years old, he began his love of commercial fishing aboard the Mary Jo and Lady Janet Lobster fishing vessel with owner "Tony Coppa" with whom he shared a lifetime close and special friendship. He later obtained his CDL license and for a short period he was employed with the City of Cape May; yet the sea beckoned, and he returned to commercial fishing aboard various fishing vessels and scallop boats at Atlantic Cape Fisheries and Lunds in Cape May, NJ, and the Lobster House in Cape May, NJ. On the day of his sudden departure, he was due to leave aboard the "Instigator" fishing vessel at 6 p.m.
Boo was truly an honorable, hard working, generous, genuine loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend who possessed an innate "JOLLY" spirit that radiated from the inside out. He also loved to "talk trash jokingly," and would often stir you up and then laugh about it! He was a DALLAS FAN and would not pick up the phone if they were playing the EAGLES and were losing. Boo was also a serious "HUNTER" and has many mounted deer heads and other animals to attest to the love of the game. Every winter during hunting season he faithfully shared his passion for hunting with his Little Brother "STEVE" and other's in Carolina, Virginia, and other areas and he loved and adored his Beagle hunting dogs. In 1995 his life changed forever when he became a father to his beloved daughter "DANIELLE," who became the only woman in his life that truly had him wrapped around her finger with no strings attached!
BooBoo lived his life to the fullest, and through his life he demonstrated that "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THEM THAT BELIEVE." He shall be loved and missed by many of all walks of life, statutes, races, and religions. His last trip at sea has been completed, the clock of life on this earth stopped ticking and God the author and finisher of our faith welcomed him to his new home in Glory. He leaves behind; his loving Mother Janet Greene; His Daughter Danielle Greene and her siblings, David and Grace (Mother Claudette McFarland) of Whitesboro, NJ; 6 brothers; Recco Greene of Rio Grande, NJ, Gary Attington and Michael Needham of Whitesboro, NJ, William (Sonia) Greene, Sr. of Richmond, VA, Wayne (Latoya Brooks) Breene of Villas, NJ, and Steve (Allison) Greene of Riverhead, NY; 2 Sisters: Marcia (Craig) Janifer and Stacy Greene of Whitesboro, NJ; Four Aunts, One Uncle and One Great Aunt; Vanarosa (Raymond) Howell of Lindenwold, NJ, Felecia Greene of Cape May Court House, NJ, Vanessa Greene of Cape May, NJ, John (Francis) Dorsey of Ocala, FL and Elsie Wade of Philadelphia, PA; 23 Niecs and Nephews; 3 Great nieces, and was preceded in death by his nephew "Recco D.F.
