Robert F. Zonnevylle

Tinton Falls resident Robert F. Zonnevylle, whose sisters live in Manasquan and Brielle, died Friday, Nov. 12 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

He was 46 years old.

Mr. Zonnevylle resided in Tinton Falls for the past 18 years.

He attended Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass. Mr. Zonnevylle attended Roanoke College in Salem Va., and earned a bachelor of art degree from Columbia University in New York City. He received a master’s degree in psychology at Seton Hall University and currently was completing his Ph.D. in medical humanities at Drew University.

Mr. Zonnevylle was employed as a director of business development research testing with Icon Laboratories in Farmingdale.

As an Eagle Scout, Mr. Zonnevylle continued his love of scouting. He was a Cubmaster of Pack No. 124 of Tinton Falls and Assistant Scout Master of Troop No. 49 at Fort Monmouth. His many passions also included travel, art and music.

Mr. Zonnevylle touched many lives and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his father, Alfred James Zonnevylle.

He is survived by his wife of 22 year, Kristen Comfort Zonnevylle; two sons, Benjamin and Austin, both at home in Tinton Falls; mother, Margaret Nichols Hooley and her husband, Neale; sisters, Dana Woolley and her husband, Timothy, of Manasquan, and Janney Petrone and her husband, Joseph, of Brielle, and step-sisters, Meghan O’Rourke, of Stamford, Conn., and Alicia Hooley, of Philadelphia.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at Lutheran Memorial church, 818 Tinton Ave. in Tinton Falls. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in his name to The Sierra Club Member Services, 85 Second Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA, 94105-3441. Letters of condolences may be e-mailed to www.sidun.com.

Alta V. Brown

Brick Township resident Alta V. Brown, formerly of Manasquan, died Monday, Nov. 15 in her home.

She was 86 years old.

Born in Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. Brown was a longtime resident of Manasquan before moving to Brick 17 years ago.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and worked at Jecklins Bakery, of Manasquan.

She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Manasquan and had belonged to the church’s women’s guild. She was a great Yankee fan and a wonderful mom who served as a Girl Scout leader and little league team mom.

Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her husband, John D. Brown, and her brother, Herbert Bayard.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, David and Jerri Ann Brown, and Thomas and Linda Brown, all of Manasquan; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lou and Jim Brinzo, and Janice and Dennis Boryszewski, all of Brick; sisters and their spouses, Florence and Raymond Walchak, Middletown, Dorothy and Richard Maggs, North Carolina; a brother and his spouse, Jack and Mary Lou Bayard, East Keansburg; sister-in-law, Alice Bayard, Florida; 17 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. at the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan. Interment will follow in the Atlantic View cemetery. Visiting will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

David T. Stanley

Belmar resident David T. Stanley died Friday, Dec. 3 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

He was 72 years old.

Born in Newark, Mr. Stanley lived in East Orange and summered in Belmar for many years before moving there full time in 1971.

Mr. Stanley retired from Allied Engineering, Lyncroft, as a resident contractor. He was a member of Local 68, International Union of Operating Engineers.

Mr. Stanley was an avid fisherman and loved boating. He was U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW in Palm Beach, Fla.

Many years ago he was lifeguard at the 10th Avenue Beach in Belmar. He was a charter member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of the Jersey Shore and an honorary member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of Old Bridge. He was also a member of the Cryan Association of South Orange, the Giblin Association of Newark, a founding member of the Jerry Lynch Social and Civic Club of Belmar, an honorary member of the Shannon Airport Police, Shannon Ireland. He was a founding member of the Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and a member of the Belmar Harbor Commission, the Belmar Democratic Club and a communicant of St. Rose, Belmar.

Mr. Stanley is predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret Hooper Stanley, and a brother, John A. Stanley Jr.

He is survived by two sisters, Jean Stanley Kling, Waretown, and Maureen B. Caslow, Livingston, and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were from the Reilly Funeral Home, Belmar.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Belmar First Aid or Belmar Fire Department would be appreciated.

Rose M. Healy

Avon-by-the-Sea resident Rose M. Healy, known as “The One and Only,” died Tuesday, Nov. 30 in her home surrounded by her family.

She was 85 years old.

Born and raised in Hoboken, Mrs. Healy summered in Avon for many years and moved there permanently in 1965.

Mrs. Healy worked for the family-run Meyers Hotel in Hoboken before working for Allstate Insurance in Brick Township for many years.

She was a communicant of the Church of St. Elizabeth in Avon and was a member of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Avon Leisure Citizens. She enjoyed singing with various bands. She was known to get up and sing at any occasion. She was generous to everyone whether she knew you or not. Her favorite saying was “always leave them laughing.”

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Philip A. Healy, in 1991; parents, Angelo and Jane Bertotti; sister, Marie Fitzpatrick and a brother, John Bertotti.

Mrs. Healy is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Kevin McGrath, Avon; grandchildren Kerry, Jamie and Timothy McGrath, all of Avon; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Sims Rienau and Frederick Rienau, Mendham; sister, Veronica Bertotti, Avon; brother, Francis Bertotti, Hoboken, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Funeral arrangements were from the Reilly Funeral Home, Belmar.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Avon First Aid, P.O. Box 3, Avon, 07717 would be appreciated.

Joseph P. Iarussi

Brielle resident Joseph P. Iarussi died Wednesday, Dec. 1 in his residence in the presence of his loving family.

He was 88 years old.

Born and raised in Scotch Plains, Mr. Iarussi had lived in Bridgewater for nine years before moving to Brielle 25 years ago.

He was president of Foursome Builders, Brielle, formerly of Scotch Plains, retiring ten years ago. He was a member of New Jersey Builders Association and the National Builders Association.

Mr. Iarussi was a World War II veteran serving as First Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp. He was a communicant of St. Denis Church, Manasquan, a former communicant of St. Bartholomew’s Church, Scotch Plains, and a member of the Holy Name Society of the church. He was also a member of the Manasquan River Golf Club. He was a proud graduate of the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York City, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.

Mr. Iarussi was predeceased by his siblings, Nicholas, Clara Venneri and Esther Iarussi.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean Humphreys Iarussi; three sons, Paul, Austin, Texas, Peter and Cindy, Annandale, and John and Carol, Marlton; two daughters, Jane Iarussi-Cole and Douglas Cole, Loudon, N.H., and Mary Jo and William Donnelly, Tinton Falls; two sisters, Amelia Stiffler and Antoinette Ziolkowski, both of Scotch Plains, and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were from the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall Township.

Maxine C. Oliver

Tinton Falls resident Maxine C. Oliver, formerly of Wall Township, died Wednesday, Dec. 1 in her home.

She was 78 years old.

Ms. Oliver was a registered nurse retiring from Jersey Shore University Medical Center during the 1970s.

She was a long time volunteer with Meals on Wheels of Monmouth County, as well as Taylor Memorial Church in Avon.

She leaves three sons, Robert L. Oliver, Toms River, Mark Oliver and his wife, Glenna, Forked River, and Paul Oliver, Wall; a daughter, Nancy and her husband, Henrik Vejlstrup, McMurray, Pa.; a sister, Hazel Kott, Sun City, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Bobby, Kevin, Karin, Melissa, Katie, Philip and Caitlin, and former daughters-in-law, Judy Oliver, Toms River, and Lisa Oliver, Brick Township.

She was predeceased by four sisters.

Jean C. Hendrickson

Brielle resident Jean C. Hendrickson died Wednesday, Dec. 1 in her home.

She was 75 years old.

Born in Freehold, Ms. Hendrickson lived most of her life in Monmouth County.

She retired as a bookkeeper from Belmar-Wall National Bank, of Belmar, and prior to that she kept the books for the Belmar A+P.

Mrs. Hendrickson leaves her husband, Paul; a brother, Albert P. Graves, of Florida; two nieces and three nephews.

Funeral arrangements were from the Johnson-McGinley Funeral Home Inc., Wall Township.

Gerald “Jerry” P. Boud

Howell resident Gerald “Jerry” P. Boud, formerly of Wall Township, died Thursday, Dec. 2 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

He was 42 years old.

Born in Neptune, Mr. Boud had lived in Wall Township and Neptune and then in Tamarack, Fla. for five years before moving to Howell.

Mr. Boud was employed as a truck driver at Nino’s Bakery, Long Branch, and was a member of the Pompano Rotary Club, Pompano Beach, Fla.

He was predeceased by his father, Theodore Boud.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Boud of Howell with whom he was living; his wife, Patricia E. Bond, Tamarack, Fla.; three daughters, Jennifer, Amanda, and Nicole Boud, all of Sayville, Long Island; brother, Gary Phillips, Neptune City; sister, Patricia Boud, Howell; three step-children, Steven, Norma and Amber Grace Estelle, Tamarack, and a nephew, Eric Boud, Coral Springs, Fla.

Funeral arrangements were from the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall Township.

Pamela S. Sarr O'Connor

Sea Girt resident Pamela S. Sarr O’Connor died Saturday, Dec. 4 in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

She was 42 years old.

Born in Nanticoke, Pa., she was raised in Manasquan and had lived in Lakewood before moving to Sea Girt 12 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Mark’s Church, Sea Girt.

Ms. O’Connor was a registered nurse with the Meridian Health System, Brick Hospital, working until the time of her illness one year ago.

She was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Belmar, and the Ann May School of Nursing at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Ms. O’Connor was predeceased by her brother, George Sarr.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, John C. O’Connor, her son, Kyle, and her two daughters, Rebecca and Theresa, all at home. She is also survived by her mother and father, Leonard and Martha Sarr, Wall Township; two sisters, Karen Koivuhalme, West Cliff, Colo., and Nannette Forkan, Manahawkin; nephew, Slade Koivuhalme, West Cliff, Colo.; in-laws, John and Carol O’ Connor, Point Pleasant, and Brian O’Connor, Manasquan.

Funeral arrangements were from the O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall.
