DOLORES L. POULSEN of ABERDEEN – died Monday, October 13, 2008 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was 77.

Born in the Bronx, NY, she resided in Laurence Harbor before moving to Cliffwood 55 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was an assembly line worker for Frigidaire in Edison for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Lizzy Egum Poulsen.
Surviving are her brother, Roy of Matawan; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Cremation will be private.

RICHARD REISIG III of ABERDEEN – died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was 53.
Born in Mineola, NY, he resided in Port Washington before moving to Keyport several years ago. He was a baker for Salsons Bakery in Metuchen for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Richard Reisig and Esther Oberg Reisig Ross, and a sister, Margaret Tyner. Surviving are a daughter, Lauren of Middletown; two sons, Nicolas and Alexander, both of Brick; his step father, John Ross of Edenton, NC; and a brother, Sandy and his wife Laura of Keyport.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at a time to be announced by the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 4-8PM only.

DOROTHY A. LAPINSKI KROLIK OF MATAWAN – died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Care One at East Brunswick. She was 82.

Born in Bayonne, she resided in Matawan for the last several years. She was a communicant of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Old Bridge.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Krolik in 1988. Surviving are three daughters, Janice of Matawan, Christine Petersen of East Brunswick, and Patricia Burger of Iselin; and a grandson, Joshua Petersen.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9: 00 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a 10: 00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7- 9PM, and Wednesday from 9: 00 AM.

Salvatore A. Bumbico, 62, died on Thursday Oct. 9, 2008 at the Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn,
Salvatore resided in Matawan for the past 30 years. He was a truck driver for 30 years. He was employed by PDC Trucking of Jackson. Mr. Bumbico was a member of the American legion Post 23, and Elks both of Keyport.

Surviving are his wife Susan (Letts) Bumbico, his son & daughter in law Nicholas and Helen of Cliffwood Beach, a daughter and son in law Toni and John Derasmo of Matawan, and a son Alexander of Matawan, a brother Anthony of Leonardo two sisters Joanne Corcoran of Union Beach and MaryAnn Bumbico of Port Monmouth three grandchildren Nicholas and Alyssa Bumbico and Giana Derasmo.

Funeral Services will be held Monday 9: 15am at the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Interment will follow at the Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Springs KY 41076. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm.

CLAIRE M. SAND ROBERTIELLO OF HAZLET – died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 74.

Born in Newark, she resided in Hazlet since 1960. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Keyport.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Richard; a son, Richard and his wife Darlene Robertiello of Howell; a daughter, Kathleen and her husband William Haupt of Brick; a brother, John Sand of Belvidere; three sisters, Marie Stockton of Trenton, Theresa Alai of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Alice Ferreira of Hillside; and six grandchildren, Richard and Kenneth Robertiello, both of Howell, and Michelle, Joseph, Robert and William Haupt Jr, all of Brick.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8: 30 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a 9: 15 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Saturday from 8: 30 AM.

CORBETT, Carol E., 69, of Keyport, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008, at home. Born in Brooklyn, she resided for the past three years with her cousin, Susan Corbett.

Carol was predeceased by her father, Raymond R. Corbett; and a sister, Sheila Sabbagh. Surviving are two sons, John Finamore of College Point, NY ; and Stephen Finamore of E. Lansing, MI ; and one daughter, Sharon Rutter of Staten Island, NY ; a sister, Eleanor Corbett of Staten Island; a brother, Tim Corbett of Manhattan ; and four grandchildren.

Cremation was private. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Tuesday, 10AM at Holy Name Church, 245 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY. Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ handled the cremation.

STOKES, Kathryn V., 81, of Matawan, was called home, Saturday, September 27, 2008, after a short stay at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Born in Matawan, she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker, after being employed at Central Jersey Bank, Matawan. She was a lifelong member of the Matawan United Methodist Church ; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 52 years and secretary for the chapter for 25 years; and treasurer for five years.

Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, Erving and Mable (Howell) Van Pelt. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Leonard; a son and daughter-in-law, Lennie and Jeanne; two grandchildren, Kristin Susan Stokes-Nievidomski and her husband, Stan; and Amanda Kathryn Stokes; a sister, Virginia Kahle; and two nieces, Lisa Kahle and Teri Vincent; a nephew, Gary Iverson and his wife, Jean; and a Godson, Billy Capek.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Monday, 9: 30AM, with a 10: 30AM funeral service at Matawan United Methodist Church, Matawan. Entombment to follow at Green Grove Mausoleum, Keyport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kathryn Stokes Memorial Fund, c/o Matawan United Methodist Church, Aberdeen, NJ 07747.

DERBY, Thomas G. Jr., 78, of Keyport, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Jersey City for 65 years, living in Keyport for the past four years. He was a firefighter with the Jersey City Fire Department for 29 years, retiring in 1988, as captain. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Helen (Rooney) Derby. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane (Price) Derby ; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Francis Finn of Hazlet ; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Traceyann Derby of Manalapan; siblings, Joseph Derby of Long Island, NY; Noreen Scheurer of Bayonne; and James Derby of Indiana; and his grandchildren, Michael, who is a Jersey City Police Officer, and his wife, Beth; Matthew, Daniel, Ryan and Aidan.

Family and friends are invited Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Monday, 8: 30AM at the funeral home, with a 9: 15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport. Cremation will be private.

MC LAUGHLIN, Genevieve F., 92, of Manahawkin, passed away, Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Southern Ocean Genesis, Manahawkin.

Born in Roselle Park, she resided in Cheesequake Village, Old Bridge, before moving to Manahawkin. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Lawrence Rosary.

Genevieve was predeceased by her husband, John McLaughlin, in 2005; her parents, Thomas and Lillian (O’Donnell) Johnson; and a daughter, Clare Scanlon in 2005. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, June and Robert Klein of Barnegat; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited Friday, 8-10: 30AM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, with a 10: 30AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Mausoleum, Keyport.

CALLOW, Neil James, of Carrollton, TX, formerly of Hazlet, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 22, 2008.
The son of Ann Callow and the late Joseph Callow, Neil was born in Brooklyn on April 10, 1957. Although only reaching the age of 51, Neil led a wonderful and fulfilling life. His warmth, humor and compassion allowed him to make a difference in the lives of all those he came in contact with everyday. Neil put a lot of time and took pride in all that he accomplished, recently celebrating his 20th Anniversary working at JP Morgan Chase.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; and children, Anthony and Stephany; his mother, Ann Callow; a brother, Wayne and wife, Sherry Callow of Rockville Centre, LI; a sister, Suzanne and her husband, Peter Berryman of Freehold; and a niece and nephew, Jaclyn and Austin. Although he has left this earth, he will forever be in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited Friday, 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Saturday, 9: 45AM, with a 10: 30AM Mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Keyport.

HEYDON, Rosemary I., 51, of Cliffwood Beach/Old Bridge, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.

Born in Market Deeping, England, she resided there, moving to Cliffwood Beach in 1985. She was a homemaker and received her Associates Degree for teaching.

Rosemary is survived by her husband, Peter Heydon; two children, Rebecca C. and Christopher J. Heydon, both of Cliffwood Beach. Also surviving are her mother, Florie (Parker) Merrill, of England.and two brothers, Fred and John Merrill, both of England.

Family and friends are invited Sunday and Monday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Cremation will be private.
