MARA, Paula L., 79, of Bayonne, passed away, Thursday, September 4, 2008, at home.

Born in Jersey City, she resided in Bayonne, before moving to Matawan, five months ago. She was employed as a stenographer for various companies.

Paula was predeceased by her parents, Francis D. and Margaret C. (Reilly) Mara; three brothers, Francis, Maurice D. and Edward A. Mara; and three sisters, Katherine Napier, Mary Calton and Bernadette Davis. Surviving is one sister, Florence Lavelle of Atlantic Highlands; 23 nieces and nephews and 26 great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Monday, 8: 30AM, with a 9: 15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Keyport. Interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.

SAVINO, Joseph, 87, of Keyport, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Bayshore Health Care, Holmdel.

Born in Union City, he resided in Union Beach and Keyport. He was employed as an assistant manager with A&P Supermarket in Cliffwood and Atlantic Highlands for 35 years, before retiring in 1978. He was a communicant of St. Joseph ’s RC Church, Keyport and served his country in the Army during WWII.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Dominick and Jennie (Errico) Savino; and his siblings, Dominick Savino, Jr., Rose Stevens, Mary Romano, Lena Braden and Nellie Savino. He is survived by two daughters, Beverly Wickham and Barbara Nagy, both of Albany, NY ; two sons, Joseph M. Savino, Jr. and his wife, Gloria, of Renssalerville, NY and Donald Savino and his wife, Lena, of Greenville, NY; five grandchildren, Payge Savino, Alyson Savino, Donald P. Savino, Jr., William Wickham, Jr., and Alicia Savino; and two grandchildren, William Wickham, III and Eva Savino.

Family and friends are invited Friday, 10AM to 12PM for visitation at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, with a noon service at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Asbury Park.

MARTIN, Kevin, 45, of Holmdel, died Friday, August 29th, at home.
Born the first son of Eugene and Elizabeth Martin on September 21, 1962, he lived in Brooklyn, NY, before moving to Hazlet, and growing up there. After graduation from high school, Kevin went on to receive his electrical license. He owned and operated Lighting Electric and Sons. Kevin was a member of the Red Bank Electrical Board of Appeals, the Electrical Contractors Association and the Builders Contractors Association.

During the time he ran his business, Kevin taught many different electrical and fire safety classes at Monmouth County Vocational High School. He took several students under his wing, mentoring them, until
they earned their electrical licenses and opened their own successful businesses. Kevin was an active member of Hazlet Fire Company #1 on Holmdel Road in Hazlet and a past Safety Officer. During the many years he was involved in volunteer fire work, he earned numerous certificates in Fire Safety and Inspection.

Kevin was a loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, friend - but most of all uncle. He cherished the time he spent with his many nieces and nephews. He loved spending his weekends and vacation time with family and friends in LBI. He was always the life of the party playing with the kids. Kevin is survived by his parents, Eugene and Elizabeth Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Keith Rocca and their
children, Mary Catherine and Christopher; brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Linda and their children, Julia and Alyssa; sister, Beth Martin and her daughter, Marybeth; and sister and brother-in-law, Kim
and Charlie Seelinger and their children, Charles, Ryan and Lauren; nephew of John and Francis Martin of Montclair, NJ; Frank and Colleen Martin of Yardley, PA; Kevin Flanigan and Eldon Wong of NY; Eileen
Flanigan of NY; and Rosemary Flanigan of FL.

Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at Day Funeral Home, Keyport, on Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9PM; and again on Thursday, 9AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict's Church, Holmdel at
10AM. Burial at Holmdel Cemetery immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made in Kevin's name to the Hazlet Fire Company #1, P.O. Box 291, Hazlet, NJ 07730.

KEVIN F. MARTIN of HOLMDEL – died Friday at home. He was 45.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Hazlet before moving to Holmdel five years ago. He was a self employed electrical contractor for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Red Bank Electrical Board of Appeals, the Electrical Contractors Association and the Building Contractors Association. He was a member and past safety officer of the Hazlet Fire Department. Kevin was a communicant of St. Benedict Church, Holmdel.

Surviving are his parents, Eugene and Elizabeth Flanigan Martin of Aberdeen; a brother, Peter of Keyport; three sisters, Patricia Rocca of Morganville, and Beth and Kim, both of Hazlet; his aunts and uncles, Kevin Flanigan and his partner Eldon Wong of East Hampton, NY, Eileen Flanigan of Queens, NY, Rosemary Flanigan of Sanford, FL, John and Frances Martin of Montclair, and Frank and Colleen Martin of Yardley, PA; and eight nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9: 00 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a 10: 00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Benedict Church, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hazlet Fire Department 372 Middle Road, Hazlet, NJ 07730 in memory of Kevin.

ALEXANDER CAPRIO of UNION BEACH – died Saturday, August 30 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was 82.

Born in Newark, he resided in Long Branch before moving to Union Beach 54 years ago. He was a self employed master plumber for many years. Mr. Caprio proudly served his country in the Navy during WW II, and was a member of the Union Beach American Legion. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, Union Beach .

He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen Mahan Caprio in 2003; two brothers, Anthony and Ernest, and two sisters, Geraldine Smith and Agnes Rosse. Surviving are a brother, Mario and his wife Gail Caprio of Neptune; two sisters in law, Frances Caprio of West Long Branch and Esther Caprio of Medford ; 18 nieces and nephews and his dear friend and caregiver Connie Demko.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10: 00 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by an 11: 00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church, Union Beach. Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Lung Association, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083 or to the WW II Memorial Fund/American Battle Monuments Commission, PO Box 96766, Washington, DC 20090-6766.

FALLON, John H., 77, of Union Beach, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at home. Born in Union Beach, he was a lifelong resident.

He was a butcher with Shop-Rite, Middletown. He was a past commander with the VFW Post #4303, Hazlet and served his country in the Marines during the Korean Conflict.

John was predeceased by his parents, John Fallon, Jr. and Catherine Tierney-Winans. Surviving are his wife, Joyce (Gaydos) Fallon; three daughters and son-in-laws, Nancy and Gerry Stacker-Gordon; Joyce and John Walton; Karen and Robert Boardwick; and a son and daughter-in-law, John and Joann Fallon; and seven grandchildren, John Stacker, Megann Fallon, Kenneth Stacker, Dennis Fallon, John Walton, Julia Boardwick and Nicolette Boardwick.

Family and friends are invited to Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, on Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9PM, with a service during the visitation. Cremation will be private.

HRABOSKY, Richard M., 65, of Toms River, with family and relatives in Ocean and Monmouth Counties, passed away, Monday, August 25, 2008, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, after a long illness.

He was a retired Chemical Analyst with International Flavor and Fragrances, Union Beach. He was a communicant with St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Toms River ; and Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach. He was a former baseball coach for the Hazlet Youth Athletic League; a former member of the Union Beach First-Aid Squad; a former drummer of the Union Beach “Firesiders” Drum and Bugle Corp. and the “Jungle-Airs” M&M Color Guard; an active member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Family Church; and a member of the Hawthorne Cabbalero’s. He was a die hard fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He served his country in the United States Air Force.

John was predeceased by his father, John Hrabosky, Sr. in 1986; and a grandson, Brendon. Surviving is his wife, Charlene (Fazio) Hrabosky; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susanne of Keansburg; three daughters and son-in-laws, Debra and Louis Milevoi; Stephanie and David Lopes, all of Tinton Falls; Dennise and her fiancé, Jim Lasher of North Middletown; grandchildren, Dara Doughtery, Faith and Joshua Hrabosky, David and Zachary Lopes, and Michael Milevoi; his mother, Mary E. Hrabosky; a brother, John J. Hrabosky, Jr., both of Union Beach; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Catherine and Mitch Shade of Union Beach, and Mary and Roger Peterson of Brick. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, on Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9PM for visitation and Friday, 9AM, with a 10AM Mass at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Mausoleum, Keyport.

BACHARDE, John “JoJoe” K., Sr., 55, of Matawan, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Born in Elizabeth, he was a lifelong resident of Matawan. He was a mail clerk with the Middletown Post Office for 30 years. He was a volunteer with Boy Scout Troop #66, Matawan; past president and board member with the Matawan/Aberdeen Huskies; and a volunteer at the Basilian Fathers of Mariapoch, Aberdeen. John loved to vacation at Sea Isle City; cruising and Walt Disney World.

John was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary (Moroney) Bacharde. Surviving are his wife, Veronica (Allen) Bacharde; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Lissette Bacharde of Linden ; and John and Tiffany Bacharde of Manalapan; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Steve Jakubowski of Oakhurst; two grandchildren, Kylie and Madalyn; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Sunday, 10AM, with a 10: 45AM service officiated by Fr. Joe Erdei of the Basilian Fathers. Cremation will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Interfaith Neighbors, 810 4th Ave., Asbury Park, NJ 07712.

JOSEPH C. GENTILE OF UNION BEACH – died Saturday, August 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital Holmdel. He was 64.

Born in Newark, he resided in Union Beach since 1968. Prior to his retirement in 2006, he was a clerk/manager of several area Shop Rite stores for 35 years. He was an avid fisherman and crabber. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Lund Gentile; three sons, Michael A. and his wife Ana of Orlando, FL, Christopher D. of Hillsborough, and Joseph J. of Union Beach ; and five grandchildren, Tony, Alessandra, Alyssa, Paolo and Mikey.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on Thursday at 10: 00 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Private cremation will follow. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 and Thursday from 9: 30am.

TEGANO, Ann J., 64, of Union Beach, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008, at home. Born in Hoboken, she resided in Hazlet, before moving to Union Beach months ago.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (Polizzano) Tegano. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Benedict and Fran Tegano; a sister, Rosaria Tegano; two nephews, and a great-niece.

Visitation is Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Thursday, family and friends may gather 8: 30AM at the funeral home, with a 9: 30 AM Mass at Holy Family RC Church, Union Beach. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Keyport
