Haico J. Noonburg, of Point Pleasant Beach, died Saturday at New Jersey Veterans Home, Paramus.
He was 83 years old.
He was a self-employed commercial artist before working at Jenkinson Amusement Park, Point Pleasant Beach, from 1996 to 2000. He was art director from 1945 to 1970 at Cunningham and Walsh, and at Dowd, Redfield and Johnstone, New York City.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a charter member and founder of the Paramus Elks, and was exhalted ruler twice. He was a member of the American Legion Post 8, Clifton, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Point Pleasant. He graduated from Pratt Institute in 1941.
Born in Garfield, he lived in Clifton before moving to Point Pleasant Beach eight years ago.
Surviving are a son, Richard of New York; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn and Douglas Kett of Oakland; a sister and brother-in-law, Julia and William Gibson of Whiting, Manchester; three grandchildren, Lisa Starke of Cumming, Ga., James Kett of Hawthorne, and Karen and husband Douglas Eldridge of Wanaque; and a great-grandchild, Zachary Eldridge.
The Oakland Memorial Home, Oakland, is in charge of arrangements.
Paul N. Kile, 87, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday at Jackson Health Care Center, Jackson.
He was 87 years old.
He was a self-employed heating and air conditioning contractor for 50 years before retiring 22 years ago.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was wounded in combat. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Totowa.
Born in Putnam, N.Y., he lived in Vermont before moving to Point Pleasant seven years ago.
His wife, Adele, died in 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Louis of Gardner, Mont., and Curtis of Point Pleasant; five daughters, Marilyn Thompson fo Red Bank, Trish Kile of Burlington, Vt., Karen Heydorn of Point Pleasant, Domenica Busicchia of East Brunswick, and Paula Telkin of Moore, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Patricia H. Corrigan, of Point Pleasant, died Thursday at Brick Hospital.
She was 70 years old.
She was a communicant of St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant.
Born in Newark, she lived in Brick before moving to Point Pleasant in 1982.
Her husband, James, died in 1997; and a son, Robert James Corrigan, died Oct. 22, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori Kobular of Toms River; and three grandchildren.

Carroll A. Polakoski
Fire Department Captain
Spring Lake Heights resident Carroll A. Polakoski died Wednesday, Nov 28 in his home.
He was 75 years old.
Born in Jersey City, Mr. Polakoski lived there before moving to Spring Lake Heights in 1981.
He earned a bachelorıs degree from Montclair State University in 1978.
He was employed as captain/acting battalion chief, and chief of apparatus and equipment, with the Jersey City Fire Department, retiring 25 years ago. He was licensed by the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety. He served as the assistant director of the Jersey City Department of Public Works, and was the former director of security, and an adjunct professor of criminology, with Jersey City State University.
He was a member of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association, VFW Post No. 1836, Manasquan, and Knights of Columbus Council No. 5611, Spring Lake.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Stella Polakoski, and his brother, Bernard.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Pienkowski Polakoski; one brother, Raymond; six nephews, Raymond and Robert Polakoski, Robert Karwel, Edwin and Dr. Walter Pienkowski, and Thomas Jodzio; and six nieces, Bernardine Wozniak, Ronnie Estvander, Clara McCarney, Charlene Parker, Peggy Ann Gleason, and Susan Gregory.

Ruth Allan Vogel
Loving Mother
Spring Lake Heights resident Ruth Allan Vogel died Friday, Dec. 1 in her home.
Born in Kearny, Mrs. Vogel moved to Spring Lake Heights in 1978.
She was a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of the North Reformed Church, Newark, and was active in many of its organizations.
She was predeceased in 1995 by her husband, Franklyn.
Surviving are three sons, Allan, Wall, Donald, Avon-by-the-Sea, and David, Duluth, Ga.; one daughter, Ruth Kirkwood, Goshen, Conn.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are from the Armitage Funeral Home, Wall. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today in the funeral home.

Joseph C. Banis
World War II Veteran
Wall Township resident Joseph C. Banis died Friday, Nov. 28 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
He was 85 years old.
Born in Newark, Mr. Banis lived in West Orange before moving to Wall 12 years ago.
He was employed for many years as a supervisor with the Carpenter Company, Wharton, before retiring.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant in the infantry.
He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Ann W. Banis, who died Oct. 31, and in 1998 by his sister, Viola Banis.
Surviving are several cousins.

Jean R. Lucarelli

Spring Lake resident Jean R. Iorio Lucarelli died Monday, Dec. 3 in the Medical Center of Ocean County Brick Hospital.
She was 90 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Lucarelli lived in Jersey City, and then in Sea Girt for 30 years before moving to Spring Lake 16 years ago. She summered in Palm Beach, Fla., for many years.
She was a graduate of St. Dominicıs Academy, Jersey City.
Her greatest love in life was her family, and she was very interested in fashion and decorating.
She was a member of St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake.
She was a member of the Spring Lake Golf Club, the Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club, and the Beach Club, Palm Beach, Fla.
She was predeceased in 1989 by her husband, Benjamin J., and in 1970 by her son, Francis X.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph P. and Dorothea, Rumson; one daughter and son-in-law, Rosanne and Lawrence Kramer, Rumson; a daughter-in-law and her husband, Janet A. and Frank Allocca, Chester; one brother, Peter Iorio, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Rose Hastie, Spring Lake Heights; and 11 grandchildren, Benjamin J., James F., Michael, and Benjamin Lucarelli, Dorothy J. and Samuel J. Allocca, Jeanmarie Sondag, Rosanne Olsen, Karl and Edward Kemm, and Jeanine St. Victor de Pinho; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Albert J. Gathman
Chemist
Held 20 Patents
Belmar resident Albert J. Gathman died Wednesday, Dec. 5 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
He was 91 years old.
Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Gathman lived in Shark River Hills before moving to Belmar in 1960.
He was a recognized expert in the field of chemical solvents, and was employed as a chemist with Exxon, at both the Bayway and Bayonne facilities, before retiring. Mr. Gathman was the holder of 20 chemical patents, and was recognized in the Whoıs Who of United States Chemists.
He was a communicant of St. Rose Church, Belmar, and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.
He was a lifetime member of both the American Chemical Society and the Bayonne Yacht Club, and a member of the Shore Lanes Senior Citizen League.
He was predeceased by his brother, C. George.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Catherine P. Gillich Gathman; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Vincent and Terrie, and Gregory and Jane, all of Brielle, Matthew and Lori, Forked River, George and Treeci, Santa Rosa, Calif., Mark, Neptune City, and Joseph and Laura, Wall Township; five daughters and one son-in-law, Catherine Anthony, Mary Jackey, and Claudia Gathman, all of Brick Township, Alicia and Eric Von Schledorn, River Hills, Wis.,and Margaret Ettenberg, Point Pleasant; and 22 grandchildren.

Houston resident Gregory C. Witt, formerly of Belmar, died Wednesday, Dec. 5 in West Houston Community Hospital, Houston.
He was 45 years old.
Born in Neptune, Mr. Witt lived in Belmar before moving to Houston 15 years ago.
He was predeceased in 1988 by his father, Robert, and in 2000 by his mother, Mary.
Surviving are one brother, Robert, Houston; two sisters, Patricia Buchanan, Belmar, and Pamela Gallagher, Neptune City; and several nieces and nephews.
