SEVERE, Louis-Philippe Freud, 42, of Freehold, NJ, passed away, Monday, September 22, 2008, at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ. He fought a courageous battle.
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he resided in Zaire, Africa, then came to the United States, moving to Brooklyn, Aberdeen, and then Freehold for the past twelve years. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima, Freehold, and attended St. Joseph ’s RC Church, Keyport on Holy Days. He received a full scholarship, obtaining a BS degree in chemistry from St. John’s University, his MS degree from Binghamton University, and his MBA degree from Farleigh Dickinson University. He was a member in the AOAC International, the scientific association dedicated to analytical excellence. Louis was a happy person who enjoyed life.
Louis was predeceased by his mother, Bernadette ( Dorval ) Severe. Surviving are his father, Gerard Severe of Aberdeen; two sisters, Monique Severe, M.D. of Freehold, NJ and Geralda Severe, PhD of Aberdeen, NJ; and a brother, Jacques Severe of Aberdeen, NJ.

KALUZIENSKI, Edna (Gross), 85, of Union Beach, joined her beloved husband, Michael, Sunday, September 21, 2008.
She spent her last few years with her son, Louis and wife, Jeanane in Arnold, MD. She lived and grew up in Union Beach, which she referred to as the meadows. She was active her whole life with yard sales, senior meetings, sitting at the beach or being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed her life. Edna always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She will forever be in our hearts. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Family Golden Age Club, and the Union Beach Senior Citizens.
Edna was predeceased by her husband, Michael Kaluzienski in 1982; her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Gross; a brother, Joseph Gross and a sister, Marion Trembley. Surviving are her son, Michael Etheridge, Seattle, WA ; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Jeanane Kaluzienski of Arnold, MD ; and a son, Mark Kaluzienski of Union Beach ; ten grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, and Friday, 9AM, with a 10AM service at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Keyport.
WARNER, Helen M. (Olsen), 93, of the Morgan section of Sayreville, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Woodbridge since 1956, before moving to Morgan. She was a homemaker and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the National Association of Power Engineers; and past president of the South Amboy Women’s Club.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Thomas B. Warner in 1977; her parents, Nicholas and Margaret (Hansen) Olsen; a brother, Raymond Olsen; and a grandson, Jeff Bahrenburg. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Elmer Bahrenburg, Jr., of Hazlet; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Joan Warner, Sr. of Jackson ; three grandchildren, Dorothy Cavanaugh; Glenn Warner, Jr. and Michael Nelson; and four great-grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Bahrenburg; and Luke and Emma Cavanaugh.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Wednesday, 10: 30AM, with an 11AM service at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
FITZPATRICK, William G. Jr., 80, of Matawan, passed away at home on Sunday, September 21, 2008.
Born in Newark, he resided in Nutley and Cliffwood, before moving to Matawan. He was the owner/operator of F&E Quality Tool, Kenilworth ; then as a bank courier with Blue Chip Courier, Manalapan; and Thrift Courier, Hightstown, where he had continued to work everyday. He was a 1945 graduate of St. Mary’s H.S., South Amboy and a graduate of Newark School of Drafting and Design. He enlisted in the US Army in March 1946. He was a communicant of St. Clement’s RC Church, Matawan. He was a big sports fan and loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He has played as a catcher and managed the Matawan AA. In 1948, he tried out for the Pirates and the Brooklyn Dodgers Teams.
William was predeceased by his parents, William G. Sr. and Dorothea (Heim) Fitzpatrick; his grandparents, John J. and Anna (Roche) Fitzpatrick; and John and Dr. Regina Heim. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Bettie Claire (Sargen) Fitzpatrick; daughter, Maureen Dickinson and husband, James; sons, William Gregory III and wife, De; and Brian Timothy; eight grandchildren, Gregory IV, Matthew, Devon and Sean Thornton Fitzpatrick; Kyle Dickinson; Olivia and Timothy Fitzpatrick and Sydneyelizabeth Lam; a sister, Gertrude Fitzpatrick Rogers; brothers, Robert John and wife, Mary; and Neil Jerome and wife, Anna; and ten nieces and nephews.

COKAS, Margaret A., 56, of Brick, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick.
Born in South Amboy, she lived most of her life in Cliffwood Beach, before moving to Brick 15 years ago. She was a waitress and bartender with McKittrick’s, Laurence Harbor, retiring 20 years ago.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Adam Cokas; her father, Victor A. Van Exter, and by her step father, Eugene Kenney.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Isemann and Victor Cokas, both of Brick; her mother, Helen Bell Van Exter Kenney of Cliffwood; a brother, Peter Van Exter of Cliffwood Beach; and two sisters, Emmy Moore and Katrina Clapsis, both of Freehold.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 8: 00 PM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Cremation was private. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 7-9 PM.
SERENSON, Raymond P., 84, of Keyport, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark.
Born in New York, he resided in Staten Island, before moving to Keyport one year ago. He was a cargo supervisor with South African Airways, at JFK Airport, retiring in 1986. He was a life member of the VFW, Staten Island. Ray served his country in the Navy during WWII.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Lillian (Bannon) Serenson. Surviving are his wife, Josephine (Garcia) Serenson; two daughters and sons-in-law, June and Jim Butler of Keyport, and Lorraine and Tim Mahoney of Old Bridge; a brother, Patrick Serenson of Hudson, FL; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

MC GOVERN, Pauline (Corcione), 84, of Hazlet, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
Born in Keyport, she resided in Hazlet for the past 73 years. Pauline was a secretary with the Cove Road School, Hazlet, for 29 years, before retiring in 1988. She was a communicant of St. Benedict’s RC Church, Holmdel; a member of the Middle Road Senior Club and a past member of St. Benedict’s and St. Clement’s Senior Clubs.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Raymond J. McGovern, 1996, and her parents, Joseph and Mary (DeGenito) Corcione. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond J. and Judy McGovern of Ft. Walton Beach, FL ; a daughter, Cynthia A. McGovern of Tinton Falls and three granddaughters, Katie, Abby and Emily.

DI LAURO, Caroline, 51, of Holmdel, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Manhattan, NY, surrounded by her family and friends, having fought a courageous six month battle for a heart transplant.
Born in Perth Amboy, she resided most of her life in Keyport, before moving to Holmdel eight years ago. She was a communicant of Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport. Caroline was employed for 25 years with AT&T/Bell Labs as a facilities planner, retiring in 2000.
Caroline is predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Josephine (Leonetti) DiLauro. Surviving are her loving sister, Nancy DiLauro of Keyport; her very best friend of 37 years, Peggy England Lauro; aunts, uncles, many cousins, many dear friends, and the love of her life, her niece Niki Lauro.

DAYBACK, Courtney Lynne, 19, of Holmdel, passed away, Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Red Bank on September 15, 1989, she was a lifelong resident of Holmdel. Courtney was a graduate of Holmdel High School in 2006, and a second year student at Brookdale College, Lincroft. She had been employed with Shop-Rite, Middletown for one year; then Holmdel Preschool for a year; and then Brookdale Preschool for seven months.
Courtney was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, John G. Dayback, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Holmes J. Gormerley, Sr. and cousin, David M. Vendetti. Surviving are her parents, Dennis and Linda (Gormerley) Dayback; three sisters, Anna, Kristina and Diana Dayback, all at home; paternal grandmother, Mary Dayback; maternal grandmother, Anna J. HENDERSON, William J., 83 of Holmdel, died Monday, September 15, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, after a short illness.
Born in Brooklyn on December 28, 1924, he resided in Matawan and Cliffwood Beach for 30 years; and Manahawkin and Barnegat for 20 years, before residing in Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. He was an elevator operator at 120 Broadway, NYC, for 39 years.
William was predeceased by his mother, Rose (O’Day) Henderson, in 1963; his father, William J. Henderson, in 1936; four sisters, Lily, Loretta, Margaret and Catherine; and a son-in-law, Floyd E. Kemble on 9/12/2006. Surviving are his loving and caring wife, Angela (Mazza) Henderson, of 62 years, who also resides at Arnold Walter Nursing Home; four children, William J. Henderson and his wife, Kim of Vineland; Johanna ( Henderson ) Kemble of Parlin; Maryellen (Henderson) Dispenza and her husband, Robert L. of Hazlet; and Patrick Henderson of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law, Anna (Mazza) Springvloed and brother-in-law, Arnold Springvloed; brother-in-law, Emanuel Mazza and sister-in-law, Anna (Napp) Mazza; nine grandchildren, William J. Henderson, III, Robert W. Davis, Dawn K. (Henderson) Reamer, Patricia L. (Davis) Serge, Mariko A. (Henderson) Layton, Yoshi T. Henderson, Robert L. Dispenza, Jr., Jennifer M. Dispenza, and Lauren N. KILROY, Christine “Tina” Marie, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 at her home in Keansburg.
Born in Jersey City on November 13, 1957 to Raymond and Christina (Curiso) Kilroy. She was a lifelong resident of Keyport.
She is survived by her brothers; Gerard (April) of Brunswick, GA and Raymond (Eileen) of Keyport. Her joy was her nieces and nephews, Toni (Wayne) Harrision of Brownsville, Mark Kilroy of Keansburg; David Kilroy of Denver, CO, Kristin Kilroy of Springfield, MO, Erin and Anthony Kilroy of Keyport and Mitchell Kilroy of Brunswick, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael.
Visitation will be Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. A funeral service will be Friday, 9AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10AM Mass at Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport. Cremation will be private.
