Freeman M. York Jr., Point Pleasant Beach, died March 19 at Brick Hospital.
He was 70 years old.
He was co-owner of a clock repairing business in Brielle for 10 years, retiring in 1990.
Prior to that, he was a physiologist at New York University Medical Center, New York City.
He was a 1954 graduate of Rutgers University in Newark.
Born in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., he lived in Manasquan before moving to Point Pleasant Beach 13 years ago.
He is survived by his friend and business partner, John Scales, of Point Pleasant Beach.
Van Hise and Callagan Leber Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, is handling the arrangements.

Carmen M. Gagliardi
Retired DEP Employee
Carmen M. 'Yogi' Gagliardi, of Lawrenceville and Point Pleasant Beach, died last Thursday at home in Point Pleasant Beach.
He was 70 years old.
He retired in 1991 after 25 years from the state Department of Environmental Protection, Ewing Township.
He was also the owner of Carjo Hair Design, Point Pleasant, for the past 15 years;
Sunshine Bus Co., Lawrence Township for 22 years until 1985; Atlantic Gas Station, Whitehorse and Olden avenues, Hamilton, for 10 years until 1964;
Lawrence Esso Gas Station, Lawrence Road and Eldridge avenue, Lawrenceville, for seven years until 1971; and Lawrence Towing, Lawrenceville for 15 years until 1982.
He was a member of the Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville, St. Peteršs Church, Point Pleasant Beach and St. Marthašs Church, Point Pleasant.
Born in Altoona, Pa., he lived in Lawrence Township for the past 55 years and in Point Pleasant Beach for the past 23 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nunziato and Saveria Spina Gagliardi; and a brother, Mario Gagliardi.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Josephine Pina Antinoro Gagliardi; five daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Samuel Pangaldi of Lawrenceville, JoAnne and Lane Alvino, and Cynthia and Robert Trabattoni, all of Brick, Lisa and Rainer Bendixon of Bay Head, and Linda and Dennis DiPalma of Manasquan, his foster daughter, Barbara Cullaro of Scottsdale, Ariz.;
two sisters and brother-in-law, Angelina Ortiz, and Emma and Guido Lucchesi, all of Hamilton; 10 grandchildren, Christopher and Stephanie Pangaldi, Matthew and Jason Alvino, Rainer and Corey Bendixon,
Victoria and Anthony DiPalma, and Sarah and Samantha Trabattoni; and many nieces and nephews.

Charlotte E. Carter
Retired Clerk
Charlotte E. Carter, of Point Pleasant, died last Thursday at Brick Hospital. She was 82 years old.
She was a clerk for S.S. Adams Manufacturing Co., Bradley Beach, for 30 years, retiring six years ago. She was a 1937 graduate of Neptune High School.
Born in East Orange, she lived in Newark and Brielle before moving to Point Pleasant. Her husband, Edward, died in 1976.
Surviving are two sons, Lawrence of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kenneth pf Point Pleasant; two daughters, Barbara Cater of Point Pleasant,
and Nancy Walker of Oviedo, Fla.; two brothers, Richard Cowan of Morningside, Md., and Gordon Cowan of Wanamassa, Ocean Township; a sister, Marion Jacobs of Crestview, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Walter Brundage Jr.
Firefighter
Walter Brundage Jr., of Point Pleasant, died last Friday at Brick Hospital.
He was 96 years old.
He was a New York City firefighter for 25 years, retiring in 1956.
He then worked for Exxon Corp., New York City, for 10 years, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Holiday City Fishing Club, Toms River.
Born in New York City, he lived in Toms River before moving to Point Pleasant seven years ago.
His wife, Jeanette Jean Brundage, died in 1991. Surviving are six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Thomas J. Sheridan
Army Veteran
Thomas J. Sheridan, of West Point Island, Lavallette, died Monday at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
He was 61 years old.
He was an electrician and hydraulics operator at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City for 35 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of Threatical Stage Employees Union Local 1.
He was an Army veteran.
He was a member of the American Legion in Seaside Heights. He was a communicant of St. Bonaventure roman Catholic Church, Lavallette. Born in New York City, he lived in Great Neck, Long Island, before moving to Lavallette four years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet Flagello Sheridan; his mother, Annie Sheridan of Toms River; one son, Robert Sheridan of New York City;
one daughter, Kerry salvati of Wooster, Ohio; two brother, Patrick Sheridan of Queens and Christopher Sheridan of Cresskill; and four sisters, Nancy Blood of Toms River,
Peggy Mesiti of North Carolina, Mary Imhof of Switzerland, and Judy Finore of New City, N.Y.
Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated.

Eleanor M. Flemming Dennis Connolly
Waitress
Eleanor M. 'Nanny' Flemming Dennis Connolly, of West Belmar, Wall, whose used to live in Point Pleasant, died last Tuesday at Geraldine Thompson Care Center, Allenwood, Wall.
She was 87 years old.
She was a waitress at the former Deauville Inn, Wall, and worked as a challenger for the Monmouth County Board of Elections.
She was a life member of the West Belmar Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Republican Club.
Born in Bayonne, she lived in the Shore area most of her life.
She lived in Point Pleasant before moving to West Belmar 55 years ago.
She was predeceased by her first husband of 35 years, C. Garwood Dennis; her second husband of six years, Carlton Eugene Connolly;
a son, Garwood William Dennis; a brother, Harrison Flemming; and two grandsons, Thomas and Stephen Dennis.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Patricia Dennis of Wall; three daughters and two sons-in-law,
Beverly and Clarence Wolfe of Eureka, Fla., Patricia L. Dalton of Wall, and Linda L. and John Agans of Toms River; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Dennis of Howell; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Johnson-McGinley Funeral Home, Route 138, Wall, is handling the arrangements.

Raymond Trent DiRenna

Raymond Trent DiRenna, of Brielle, whose brother lives in Point Pleasant, died last Tuesday at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Philadelphia.
He was 52 years old.
He was the founder and president of Spirit of 76 Wines & Liquors, Manasquan, since 1994. Previously, he worked as a strategic planner for American Cyanimid Co., Wayne for 12 years.
He received a bachelor of arts degree from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Conn., and a masters degree in business administration from New York University.
He belonged to the Manasquan Elks Lodge 2534 and was a communicant of St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, Manasquan.
He was born in Newark and lived in Caldwell and Convent Station for 13 years before moving to Brielle seven years ago.
He was predeceased by his father, Trent DeRenna. Surviving are his wife, Susan Greene DiRenna; a son, Timothy, and a daughter, Caitlin, both at home; his mother, Norman Beltramo DiRenna of Brick; and two brothers, Trent of Wall and Christopher of Point Pleasant.
His dog was Bucky.
OšBrien Funeral Home, Route 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall, is handling the arrangements.

Paul DeLorenzo

Paul DeLorenzo, of Robbinsville, Washington Township, formerly of Mantoloking, died last Thursday at home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was 68 years old.
He was president and owner of Paul DeLorenzo Iron and Metal Inc. and Bella Motors Inc. He was the former president of DeLorenzo Twin County Disposal and DeLorenzo Paper Stock Inc.
He was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church where he belonged to the Holy Name Society
He was a member of the Hamilton Elks. He was inducted into the Bond AA Hall of Fame.
He was an avid golfer and belonged to the Mary Run Country Club as well as other golf groups.
He was born in Trenton and lived in the Hamilton and Mantoloking areas.
He was predeceased by his parents, Luigi DeLorenzo and Lucia Gross; and four brothers, George, Louis, John and Salvatore DeLorenzo.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Joan Nimick DeLorenzo; four daughters and sons-in-law,
Gina and Nick Sapnar of Spring Lake, Tresse DeLorenzo-Vaccaro and Vince Vaccaro of Atlantic Highlands, Lucia DeLorenzo-Resch and Shawn Resch of Hamilton, and Janel DeLorenzo-Harris and Ted Harris of Annapolis, Md.; a son and daughter-in-law,
Scott and Heather DeLorenzo of Hamilton Township; three sisters, Helen Zazzo, Carmela Duraski and Mary Vitterito, all of Trenton; a brother and sister-in-law,
Pat and Kathy DeLorenzo of Port St. Lucia, Fla.; five grandchildren, Olivia Vaccaro, Jordan, Nicholas and Lainey Sapnar and Justin Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square, is in charge of the arrangements.
