ANTHONY D'AMELIO, 83, died Sunday.Born in Sala Consilina, Province di Salerno, Italy, he came to the United States in 1929 and lived in Paterson before moving here. Mr. D'Amelio was a color mixer at Jersey Dye & Finishing Co., Paterson, for many years before retiring in 1978. A World War II Navy veteran, he was the recipient of the Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal with nine stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with two stars and American Theater Medal. Surviving are his wife, the former Anne Rusciano; a son, Angelo A. of Elmwood Park; a daughter, Toni Ann Hammer of Toms River; a sister, Rose Festa of Totowa; and five grandchildren.Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, is in charge of arrangements.
