HARKEY, Warren G., 86, of Hazlet, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Born in Paterson, he resided in Dumont, before moving to Hazlet 52 years ago. He was employed as a mechanic with GAF, Linden, for 12 years, retiring in 1971. He was a communicant of St. Benedict’s RC Church, Holmdel. He served our country in the Navy during WWII.
Warren was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Helene (Sawyer) Harkey; and his son, Richard Harkey in June 2006. Surviving are his wife, Helen (White) Harkey; and a daughter, Claire Harkey, both of Hazlet.
A funeral service will be Friday, 9AM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a 10AM Mass at St. Benedict’s RC Church, Holmdel. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Keyport. Family and friends are invited Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at the funeral home for visitation.
ARMANGEON, Wilson “Bob”, 82, of Keansburg, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Laurel Bay Nursing and Rehab Center, Keansburg.
Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Staten Island, and Cliffwood Beach for 53 years, before moving to Keansburg. Bob was a forklift operator for 25 years with Continental Can, Carteret, retiring in 1980. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and Korea, proudly serving our country twice.
Bob was predeceased by his wife, Catherine (Heiniman) Armangeon in August 2006; and his parents, Louis and Matilda (Eiochen) Armangeon. Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Louise and Ken Frigerio of Keansburg; Marie Peterson of Dover, DE ; and Michele and Bobby Dietrich of VA; a brother, Raymond Armangeon; a sister, Yvonne Waltimeyer of Pennsylvania ; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, 9-10AM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, with a 10AM service. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery, Keyport. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Laurel Bay Nursing and Rehab Center, 7 Laurel Ave., Keansburg, NJ 07734.
TAYLOR, Edward M., 75, of Matawan, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
Edward is survived by his wife, Frances Helfrich Taylor; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Brian Foley; a daughter, Amy Taylor; and three grandchildren, Laura, Kevin and Caitlin.
Visitation is Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, Keyport. A Mass will take place Friday, 9: 15AM at St. Joseph ’s Church, Keyport. Interment to follow at St. Joseph ’s Cemetery.
ZEISER, William W., 59, of Union Beach, passed away at University Hospital, Newark, on Saturday, August 2, 2008.
Born in Glendale, NY, he resided in Hawley and Honesdale, PA, before moving to Union Beach 21 years ago. He was employed as an electrician with IBEW #3, New York, NY for 41 years, retiring in 2007. He was a S.A.L. member of Post #321 American Legion, Union Beach ; the Keyport Fishing Club and a former Mason. Bill will fondly be remembered for his famous “Happy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.” greeting. Whichever day it happened to be, happy thoughts were sent out to all.
Bill was predeceased by his father, George Zeiser. Surviving are his wife, Stella (Nykaza) Zeiser; his mother, Alice (Eidberger) Zeiser of Hawley, PA; two stepchildren, Douglas and his wife, Angela Longmore of New Glarus, WI, and Lee Longmore of Ellensberg, WA; siblings, Alan and his wife, Susan Zeiser of Stafford, VA; Steven and his wife, Vicki Zeiser of Pleasant Mount, PA and Nancy and her husband, Dennis Pace of Hawley, PA; godchild, Robin Hocker of Hawley, PA; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited Wednesday, 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. A funeral service will take place Thursday at 10: 00 AM at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Green Grove Mausoleum, Keyport.

MARY GIUGLIANO LEWIS OF MORGANVILLE – died Sunday, August 03 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was 85.
Born in Matawan, she resided in Morganville for several years. Prior to her retirement 20 years ago, she was a bank teller at Summit Bank in Matawan for 19 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Keyport.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Lewis of North Dakota ; two sisters, Minnie Nunziato of North Carolina and Angela Waits of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren, Fred Kramer and his wife Karen, Victoria Kramer, Gabriel Karmaou, John Karmaou, Justin Moroskie and Ashley Moroskie; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at a time to be announced in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10: 00 – 11: 00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
ROBERT F. BONIS OF HAZLET – died Saturday, August 02, 2008 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 53.
Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Hazlet for the past several years. He worked as a foreman for Amtrak in Newark, and also had worked as a General Contractor. He was a member of several motorcycle organizations and had participated in many charity runs.
Surviving are a daughter, Marianne Kolodziej of Hazlet; two step children, Melissa Neville and Joey Garcia, both of Hazlet; his mother and step-father, Florence Atamborski Pizzi and Fred Pizzi of Hazlet; his fiancé, Wendi Poling of Hazlet; a granddaughter, Alexis Kolodziej and 5 step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10: 00 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Keasbey. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7- 9 PM.
PETER A. RUSSO OF PORT MONMOUTH – died Friday, August 1, 2008 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was 57.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Hazlet and Palm Coast, FL before moving to Port Monmouth 6 years ago. He was a security guard for Ft. Monmouth for eight years. Prior to that he worked in law enforcement for many years. Peter proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, and was a life member of Disabled American Veterans, as well as a member at large of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Matawan Italian American Club.
Surviving are his wife, Heather Boyce Russo; a son and daughter in law, Salvatore Russo and Kristen Edminsten of Port Monmouth; a daughter, Amanda Russo of Port Monmouth; his parents, Philip Russo and Josephine Jairaffo Russo, of Marlboro; his siblings, Philip of Charlotte, NC, Carmela of Bear, Del, Lucyann Lester of Las Vegas, NV, Gerard of Cream Ridge, and Domenic of Brick; and a granddaughter, Christina Russo.
Funeral services will be held on Monday evening at 8: 30 PM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Private cremation will follow. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
WALLACE, Joseph S., DDS, 66, of Matawan, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008, at home. Born in South Amboy, he resided in Matawan.
He was a dentist in Cliffwood, NJ, for 41 years, before retiring in 2007. He was a former Matawan Councilman; president of Lochslea Heights ; and a communicant of St. Joseph ’s RC Church, Keyport. He served his country in the Navy during Vietnam.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary (Adario) Wallace. Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Gorzynski) Wallace; two daughters and son-in-laws, Peggy and Andrew Sinkleris of Yardville, NJ and their children, Ryan and Evan; and Cathy and David Palmieri of Metuchen; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie and Joseph Graceffo of Wanaque, NJ.

NICORA, James F., Sr., 62, of Matawan, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at home.
Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of the Aberdeen/Matawan area. He worked as a truck/heavy equipment operator and a dispatcher with Stavola Contracting Co., Tinton Falls, and also owned and operated Janic Trucking, Inc. of Matawan. He was a Eucharistic Minister with St. Joseph ’s RC Church, Keyport; and was an honorary life member with the Matawan First-Aid Squad.
James was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Louise (Rettagliata) Nicora; and a grandson, Cory Snyder in 2007. Surviving are his wife, Lois ( Wilson ) Nicora; his five children and their spouses, Dawn Nicora and husband, James Snyder of Matawan; Carol Tanchak of Middletown ; Bernadette and Martin Fitzpatrick of Middletown ; James F. and Susan Nicora, Jr. of Jackson; and Andrea Nicora of Brick; a sister, Rosemarie Perkins-Barbieri of Coconut Creek, FL; and grandchildren, Jessica, Gary, Johnny, Kristen, Reilly, Seth, Christopher, Sean, Ciara, James F. III and one on the way.

DONNELLY, Kathyleen Mary, of Keyport, passed away, Friday, September 26, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital.
She had been employed with the South Orange School District for 17 years.

IDA JOSEPHINE DELLANOCE STAGNITTO of MATAWAN died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Holmdel. She was 86.
Born in Rochester, NY, she resided in Clifton and Pompton Lakes for 35 years and Toms River for 15 years before moving to Matawan in 2002. She attended Pleasant Valley Day Center in Holmdel, and was a communicant of St. Clement Church, Matawan.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank D. Stagnitto, a daughter Mary, and two brothers, John Dellanoce and Richard Dellanoce.|Surviving are two sons, David and his wife Susan Stagnitto of Savannah, GA and Paul and his wife Maria Stagnitto of Silver Spring, MD ; a daughter, Marianne Thouret and her husband Claude Jr. of Matawan; six grandchildren, Jason and his wife Leigh Ann, Lauren, Paul Joseph, Michael, Claude III (CJ), and Justin; and a great grandson, Connor.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement Church, Matawan. Private cremation will follow. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

“Coach Rudy” Rudolph C. Buntenbach, Jr. of KEYPORT died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was 64.
Born in Kerrville, TX, he resided in Keansburg before moving to Keyport 26 years ago. Prior to his retirement 2 years ago, he was a self employed plumber for 45 years, and had also worked for Apollo Plumbing several years ago. He loved coaching Keyport Pop Warner Football, and helped his son Jamie with a display of professional fireworks each 4th of July in South Carolina. An Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he was a drill sergeant, a sharpshooter, and a Purple Heart recipient.
Surviving are his devoted lifetime companion, Maureen Torrisi; his children, Lisa Ramos, Jamie Buntenbach, Jeanmarie, Denise, Alison, and Al; a son in law, Fred and a daughter in law Carmen; a sister Barbara, and seven grandchildren, Amana, Rebecca, Caitlyn, Kayla, Michael, Joseph, and Andrew.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9: 30 AM in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, followed by a private cremation. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

MATTON, Gerard J., 57, of Manalapan, passed away, Friday, September 26, 2008, at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold.
Born in Red Bank, he resided in Middletown and Leonardo, before moving to Manalapan 21 years ago. He was a compounder with IFF, Union Beach, for 38 years, retiring in 2006. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel Church, Marlboro; he was an avid bowler; and a member and past officer of the Monmouth County Bowling Association; and rolled a 300 game.
Gerard was predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Gerry (Brooks) Matton and a brother, Timothy Matton. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis C. (Taverna) Matton; two daughters, Jennifer Stavola of Fair Haven and Melissa Smith, Summerfield, FL; four stepchildren, Lynne Bukofsky of Marlboro, Donna Jamison of Metuchen, Wesley Pericone of Staten Island and Christopher Pericone of Bridgewater; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport and Monday, 9AM, with a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gabriel’s Church, Marlboro.
