LINDA J. SULTANA, 57, of FARMINGDALE, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at home. Mrs. Sultana was born in Staten Island and lived there before moving to Farmingdale in 1977. Mrs. Sultana was a bookkeeper for the MG Group, Colts Neck, for the past 22 years.

She was predeceased by her father, Christopher Christiansen. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Sultana; a daughter, Jennifer Sultana of Farmingdale; her mother, Helen Christiansen of Farmingdale; and a brother-in-law, Victor Sultana of Citrus Heights, Calif.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.

TANIA SVINAREFF, 91, of WALL, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Svinareff was born in Odessa, Russia, and came to the U.S. in 1923, settling in New York. She lived there before moving to Howell in 1944, and to Wall six years ago. She was a homemaker.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dimitri M. Svinareff, in 2004. Surviving are three sons, Gregory Burela of Freehold, Michael Austin of Wall, and James Austin of Adamstown, Pa.; a daughter, Helen Aserdziev of Howell; a brother, Nicholas Stoiaken of Minneapolis, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 4 p.m. Monday until her funeral service at 6: 30 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Interment will be private in St. Vladimir's Cemetery, Jackson.

CHARLOTTE THOMAS, 78, of FREEHOLD, died Saturday, June 30, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Mrs. Thomas was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived there and in Long Branch before moving to Silvermead, Freehold, in 1993. Mrs. Thomas was a printing supervisor for US Life, Neptune, for 10 years, retiring in 1993. Prior to that, she worked for 50 State Life Insurance Co., Neptune. She also worked as a home health aide. Mrs. Thomas served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Freehold, and past president of the Freehold Women's Club.

She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Arnold in 1996; and a son-in-law, Phillip in 2005. Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Castello and Janet Anastasio; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn, Kimberly and her husband, Guy, and Phillip Jr.; five great grandchildren, David A., Hunter Z., Ayden K., Anastasia M. and Maryann C.; two brothers-in-law, William and Bernard Thomas.

Visiting will be from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at noon at the church with the Rev. Dr. Patricia Medley officiating. Interment will be in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Charlotte may be made to the church and would be appreciated. Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold, is in charge of the arrangements.

JOHN D. THOMPSON, 88, of HOWELL, died Monday, Sept. 4, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Thompson was born in Howell and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church on the Hill, Ocean Township; BPOE Lodge 2534, Manasquan, the Quarter Century Club of Nestle, Freehold, and the Daughters of America, Glendola. He was a P.C. operator at Nestle, Freehold, for 28 years retiring in 1983.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, John D. Jr. and Cathy Thompson of Lincroft; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Dennis Wells of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Jill and Vincent Ryan of Tinton Falls, Gordon and Kayo Wells of Freehold Township, John and Maureen Thompson of Bayville, Melissa Wells of Las Vegas, Nev., and Gillian and Christian Vitanza of Cambridge, England; five great-grandchildren; and his dear companion, Betty Johnson of Howell.

Visiting will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.

HENRY CHARLES TILLSON, 83, of FREEHOLD, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Applewood Estates, Freehold. Mr. Tillson was born in Philadelphia, Pa., grew up in Harrisburg, Pa., and had lived in Wilmington, Del., before moving to Applewood Estates, Freehold Township, in 1993 where he was active in the community life there. He was a member of the Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent. He was a charter member of the Limestone Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, Del., and was its first treasurer. Mr. Tillson was a member of the Board of Directors of Greenbank Mill Associates and was also first treasurer of that historic restoration group. He received his SB Degree in chemistry from MIT, and his MS degree and PhD in organic chemistry from Penn State. He was a Lieutenant JG in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in the South Pacific. Mr. Tillson was a research chemist for Hercules, Inc., Wilmington, Del., for 36 years, retiring in 1986.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Helen Hannan Tillson of Freehold; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ruth and Edward Stanczak of Freehold Township, and Clare Corridori of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; a brother, George Tillson of Langhorne, Pa.; and six grandchildren, Adrienne, David, and Mark Stanczak, and Jessica, Dana, and Beth Corridori.

A gathering of friends will be offered from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his memorial service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Hugh A. MacKenzie officiating. Interment will follow in The Oaklands Cemetery, 120 West Market St., West Chester, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of blood to your local blood bank or a contribution to CARE, Gift Center, P.O. Box 1871, Merrifield, VA 22116-9753, in his memory.

ELIZABETH TUMANOV, 86, of the Parlin section of SAYREVILLE, died Monday, July 24, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

Surviving are two daughters, Valentina Becker of Middletown, and Irene Tumanov of Parlin.

Graveside services will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson.

ROSE-MARIE "BUNNY" TURLEY, 73, of JACKSON, died Tuesday, April 17, at her daughter's home. Mrs. Turley was born in Manhattan and had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Jackson in 1983. She was a graduate of the Bellevue School of Nursing in Manhattan. She was a veterinary assistant for the Bricktown Veterinary Clinic, Brick. She was a choir member at the Cathedral of the Air at Lakehurst and a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Mrs. Turley was also a 4-H volunteer.

She was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Joseph C. Turley, in 1986. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and LisaMarie Turley of Charlotte, N.C.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rose-Marie Turley of Freehold Township, Catherine "Cathy" and Garland Grammer of Jackson, and Carolyn "Cindy" and Keith Sanford of Nescopeck, Pa.; a sister, Kathryn Marciano of Union; and 10 grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Saturday for the Rite of Committal followed by her 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment to follow in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro.

ANNA VAN DUSEN, 80, of HOWELL, died Sunday, Nov. 5, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Van Dusen was born in Holmdel and was a lifelong resident of Howell. She was a member of the Howell Township Senior Center. Mrs. Van Dusen enjoyed watching stock car racing at Wall Stadium and bowling. She worked as an assembler and in packaging at Paco, Lakewood, for 10 years, retiring in 1993.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A., in 1970; and a son, Robbie, in 1977. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Allen D. and Bonnie Van Dusen of Jackson; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and James Harmon of South Hampton, Long Island, N.Y.; a stepson and his wife, Frank and Elsie Van Dusen of Howell; a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Evelyn Pikowski of Freehold; seven grandchildren, Heather, Nicole, Dawn, Jennifer, Christopher, Suzanne and Diane; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harvey Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. CHARLOTTE F. VANGELAS, 74, of MONROE TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, June 12, at The Elms at Cranbury, Cranbury. Mrs. Vangelas was born in Conroe, Texas, and had lived in Longview, Texas, and Clifton before moving to Monroe Township in 2003. Along with her family, Mrs. Vangelas owned and operated Club 18, North Wildwood, for 18 years, retiring in 2000.

She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Kaiser; and a brother, James Terry. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Thomas Vangelas; a son, Thomas Vangelas Jr. and his wife Sharon of Colts Neck; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Elaine Terry of Aberdeen, Scotland; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Bill Byrd of Harelton, Texas; two grandchildren, Courtney and Tim Vangelas; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 10: 30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harvey Kelley officiating. CHARLES "BUSTER" W. VAN SCHOICK JR., 88, of HOWELL, died Sunday, Jan. 28, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Lincroft, Lincroft. Mr. Van Schoick was a lifelong resident of Howell. Mr. Van Schoick was a dairy farmer in his younger years and later became one of the largest sweet corn growers in the state. He served produce markets all along the Jersey Shore and as far west as Princeton. He retired in 1975 and was happy gardening and keeping his home and yard in beautiful condition. Buster was a founding member of the Squankum Star Club. He was an avid big game hunter, hunting all of North America and having several world-class animals.

He was predeceased by a son, Ronald Lee Van Schoick, in 1943. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth Van Schoick; a son, Charles W. Van Schoick III of Howell; two daughters, Marie E. Miller of Howell, and Sandra M. Schrieder of Jackson; a sister, Harriet Guice of Brick; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until his funeral service at 11 a.m. at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Buster may be made to Squankum United Methodist Church, 45 Old Tavern Road, Howell, NJ 07731, and would be appreciated.

NICHOLAS D. VECCHIARELLI, 59, of Jackson, formerly of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Vecchiarelli was born in Italy and had lived in the Morganville section of Marlboro, then Freehold Township for 4 1/2 years, moving to Jackson last year. Mr. Vecchiarelli was a civil engineer for Hutton Construction, Cedar Grove, for three years before becoming disabled. He was a beloved and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His life was his family. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. Mr. Vecchiarelli was a graduate of Voorhees Technical School.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Vecchiarelli; a son and daughter-in-law, Dominick and Melissa Vecchiarelli of Howell; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Frank Colossi of Freehold; a daughter and her fiance, Stephanie Vecchiarelli and Trevor Boerger of New York City; four grandchildren, Gina Colossi, Frankie Colossi, Nicholas Vecchiarelli, and John Vecchiarelli; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Clara Lovallo of Freehold Township; and two sisters, Phyllis Petrisko of Bordentown, and Maryann Giustino of Washingtonville, N.Y.

Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Saturday for the Rite of Committal followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold. JAMES M. VENDITTI, 60, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Sunday, June 25, at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Plainfield. Mr. Venditti was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and had lived in Jackson before moving to Freehold Township 23 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a controller for J.M. Huber, Edison, for 22 years.
Surviving are his wife, Susan M. Venditti; a son, James J. Venditti of Bryn Mawr, Pa.; two daughters, Melissa Schwartz of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Alysan Okerson of Farmingdale; a granddaughter, Keira Schwartz; and a cousin, Thomas Venditti of Ephrata, Pa.

Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Family and friends may gather at 8: 30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by his 9: 30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
