James (Jimmy) M. Koelbl, 56, of Mullica Twp., died November 11, 2009, at Virtua Health, Berlin, after a lengthy illness.
Jimmy was a long time resident of Mullica Twp. and lived with his caregiver, Jim Kaiser and family. He enjoyed watching wrestling, baseball, going to stock car races, riding his bicycle and taking trips to Daytona Beach, Fla. Jimmy had a great sense of humor. His favorite response when asked “Jim, are you alright” was “No, I’m half left.”
Predeceased by: father, James M. Martin; adopted father, Bernard Koelbl; brother, Bernard T. Koelbl. Surviving him are: mother and step-father, Helen M. and Kingston B. Strecker of Florida; sisters, Jane E. Denk of Illinois., Mona L. Torpey of Pennsylvania, Patricia W. Koelbl of New Jersey, Rosemarie A. Engle of Tennessee, Julianna S. Koelbl of Texas; stepsister, Jeanette L. Markowski; stepbrother, Kingston L. Strecker both of Nevada; several nieces, nephews, extended family, many close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation with the family on Saturday, November 21, at 3 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3:30 p.m. at Landolfi Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Anthony A. Giacoppo, 58, of Minotola and formerly of Hammonton, died on Saturday, November 14, 2009 in South Jersey Hospital, Vineland.
Born in Camden, he was a lifelong area resident. He was formerly employed as a security guard in Atlantic City.
Surviving him is: son, Anthony A. Giacoppo Jr. of Hammonton.
Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.

Genevieve Santilli (nee Recentio), 85, of Hammonton, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 15, 2009. Genevieve previously worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in the main office in Philadelphia, the Santilli Grocery Store and retired after working for the Hammonton Public Schools after 27 years. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of Associates of St. Lucy Filippini. Gen cherished being with her family first and foremost, traveling with her husband, entertaining and the holidays. She enjoyed the arts and was an avid reader, and had a flare for interior design.
Predeceased by: husband, Peter W. Santilli; parents, Alfred and Mary Recentio; sister, Lena Cross. Surviving her are: son, Peter R. Santilli and his wife Barbara; daughter, Mimi Massara and her husband Benny; grandchildren, Kristin Santilli, Jason Massara, Stephen Santilli and his wife Nancy, Megan Scheer and her husband Ryan, Lauren Goukler and her husband Joe; great-grandchildren, Evangeline Santilli, Bryce Scheer, Andrew Goukler; dear cousin, Rosemary Stevens (nee Pitale); loving and devoted caregiver, Maria Reyes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing today, November 18, from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home. A viewing will again be held on Thursday, November 19, at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church. Interment immediately following at Holy Sepulcher cemetery.

Salvatore F. “Bill” Amedio, 86, of Hammonton, died December 16, 2009, at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was a resident his entire life. Bill served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Society, Hammonton V.F.W. #1026, and American Legion Post 186. Bill worked for Hammonton Board of Education in maintenance, retiring in 1993. He also worked for National Garment in Hammonton.
Predeceased by: parents, Thomas and Phyllis Amedio; wife, Rita (nee DeMarco); sisters, Mary Mancuso, Catherine Dixon; brother, Nunzio, Joseph, Frank Amedio. Surviving him are: daughter, Deborah Gelles and her husband Bart; dear brother of Tony, Henry (Pat) Amedio of Hammonton; brother-in-law of John (Anna) DeMarco, Anthony (Mary) Demarco, George Dixon, Gladys Tomasella, Stella Daniello, Rose (Anthony) Merlino all of Hammonton; loving grandfather of Dane Gelles.

Louis Iacovelli, 93, of Somerdale, died Saturday, December 12, 2009.
Lou was born in Camden on November 27, 1916. He was a decorated veteran of World War II with a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Lou had the rare ability to be a man of great character who was also a real character. Lou’s entire life was one of self-sacrifice for others. It is astonishing how many people loved Lou whether he was working in the post office, interacting with his fellow Knights of Columbus, or volunteering for MainStreet Hammonton. Lou was an ordinary guy who will live on as a hero to many.
Predeceased by: wife, Marie Iacovelli. Surviving him are: children, Louis (Suzanne) Iacovelli, John (Cassie) Iacovelli, Maria (Markus) Bersinger; loving grandfather to Kristin, Caryn, John Louis, Joanna, Nicole, Nicholas, Rachael, Regina.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Thursday, December 17, at Our Lady of Guadulupe Parish – St. Luke Campus in Stratford.

Anthony C. “Buck” DeMarco Sr., 82, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 825 of Springfield, N.J. He also owned and operated B.J. Farm Market in Hammonton in the 1970s for more than 10 years and worked for Imperial Florist. He also worked for Zhong Shan Farms and DeFiccio Farms. He was a member in good standings of the Pine Meadows Gun Club.
Predeceased by: parents, Emedio and Julia; brothers, Rocco, Medio; sisters, Carmella Graves, Helen Esham, Gloria Soards. Surviving him are: wife, Jennie (nee Bailey); children, Anthony C. DeMarco Jr. (Mary Catherine) of Hammonton, David (Diane Crowley) of Sweetwater, Dinah DeMarco (John Keenan) of Hammonton, Andrea Richards (Paul) of Bethel, VT; stepson, Norton Davis (Donna) of Hammonton; dear brother of Louis DeMarco and his wife Belva of the Villages, Fla., Philip and his wife Jo of Hammonton, Rose Arico of Hammonton, Dianna Hanselman and her husband Bill of Cologne, Amelia Todaro of Cherry Hill; sisters-in-law, Sue DeMarco, Nancy DeMarco of Hammonton; loving grandfather of Karlina (Christian Nelson) DeMarco, Ariana (Rick) Hellien, Jessie (Brooke) DeMarco, Richard (Melissa) DeMarco; four great-grandchildren; 26 nieces and nephews.

Dianne Butler (nee DelGiorno), 62, of Folsom, died Thursday, December 17, 2009, at home.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Folsom for 38 years. She was a 1965 graduate of Sterling High School. Dianne was a pharmacy technician for more than 25 years for Bellevue Drug and was an avid tennis player.
Predeceased by: parents, Daniel and Stella DelGiorno. Surviving her are: husband, David; children, Joseph Dougherty and his wife Susan of Egg Harbor Township, Danielle Dougherty Noto of Hammonton, Jennifer Butler of Chicago; sister of the late Raymond DelGiorno and his wife Vida of Tabernacle, Daniel DelGiorno and his wife Sally of Lancaster; grandchildren, Nicholas, Victoria, Heather.

Rita Benulis, 88, of Hammonton, died Friday, December 11, 2009, at Virtua Hospital in Marlton.
Born in Duryea, Pa., she was an area resident most of her life.
Predeceased by: husband, Bronys. Surviving her are: children, Benny Benulis of Hammonton, Beatrice Piccola of Jacksonville, Maryann Benulis of Dallas; loving sister of Anthony Witek of Long Island, Irene Pellicano of Huntington Beach, Calif.; loving grandmother of one granddaughter.

Margaret M. Pizzico (nee Bilazzo), 90, of Hammonton, died Thursday, December 17, 2009, at her son’s residence.
Born in Hammonton, she lived in Hammonton all her life and was a graduate of Hammonton High School. Margaret was an active member of Hammonton Senior Citizens and the Nutrition Center. She was employed as a hair stylist until her retirement.
Predeceased by: parents, Bernard and Angela Bilazzo; husband, Harry A. Pizzico Sr.; many brothers and sisters. Surviving her are: son, Harry A. Pizzico Jr. and his wife Darlene of Winslow; grandchildren, Debbie (Edward) Lacks, Christine (John) Pihs, Suzanne Pizzico, Harry (Chrisy) Pizzico III; great-grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, David, Kaitlyn, Brendan, Giovanni.
