Anita L. Galletta (nee Capelli), 56, of Hammonton, went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2009 while at home with her family.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She lived with breast cancer for more than 20 years. Anita was a woman of immense faith and was secure in her salvation. She served as a pillar of strength to all those who knew her and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was an active woman of her church, teaching Sunday School and had many and varied talents. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, riding and tending to her horses, sailing, and more. She was the grand prize winner of the New Jersey State Fair Crisco Pie Competition for the “All Things are Possible Blueberry Pie.” She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether at home in Hammonton or at their summer home in Ocean City, N.J., both of which were always open to anyone.
Predeceased by: parents, Gaetano “Tom” and Antoinette Capelli; father-in-law, S. Arthur “Duke” Galletta. Surviving her are: husband of 29 years, Arthur Galletta; daughter, Joyce (Galletta) and her husband Anthony DeStasio; son, John; twin sister, Carol Capelli; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Lynne Capelli, Donald and Mimi Capelli; mother-in-law, Susan Galletta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carol (Galletta) and William Santora, Linda (Galletta) and Edward Santora; several aunts, uncles; many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call today, September 23, from 10 – 11 a.m. at Hammonton Assembly of God, 272 Route 206, Hammonton, NJ 08037 followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenmount cemetery.

Cecilia Hopkins, 84, of Hammonton, died Monday, September 14, 2009.
Surviving her are: sons, Brian and his wife Mary of Linwood, Albert of Narrave, Fla., Dennis and his wife Tammy of Daytona, Fla., Michael of Iraq; brother, Richard Einwechter of Toms River; sister, Jean Sponheimer of Bradford, Pa.; aunt and uncle, Mary Whedbee and Charles Wiley; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

William J. McBride Sr., 52, of Mays Landing, died Monday, September 14, 2009, at home.
Born in Chester, Pa., he was a resident of Mays Landing for the past five years. He last worked for the Christopher Construction Company in Rosedale. Bill enjoyed shooting pool, crabbing, fishing, family BBQ’s, and David Bowie music.
Surviving him are: daughter, Paula Noon (Nelson) of Mays Landing; son, William J. Jr. of Hammonton; brother, Richard III (Debbie) of Hammonton; sister, Linda Nocito (Pat) of Vineland; grandchildren, Nelson, Skylar, Aubrey, Cassidy, William.

Dennis A. Santora Sr., 67, of Hammonton died Friday, September 18, 2009, at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Hammonton for 55 years. Mr. Santora was a self-employed cabinet maker. He was also employed as a kitchen designer by Home Depot in English Creek. He was a former member of the Hammonton Police Reserves, the United States Naval Reserves and the Hammonton Lions Club. Mr. Santora was a 4th Degree member of the Padre Pio Knights of Columbus Council #680 in Hammonton and a member of the National Association Remodelers Industries. Mr. Santora was a model train enthusiast and he enjoyed playing golf.
Predeceased by: daughter, Bonnie Jean; father, Alfred Santora. Surviving him are: wife, Carolyn Santora (nee Angello); son, Dennis A. Santora Jr. and his wife Lynn of Washington Township; daughters, Sheri Marcantuono and her husband Larry of Berlin, Deborah Fischer and her husband Mike of Hammonton; mother, Lucy Santora (nee Carullo) of Hammonton; sister, Carol Lynn Gazzara and her husband Frank of Hammonton; grandchildren, Victoria, Michael, Isabella, Edward, Olivia.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, September 21, at St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Carol A. Pastore, 71, of Berlin, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at St. Agnes Hospital.
Born in Berlin, she lived in Berlin her entire life.
Predeceased by: parents, Angelo and Anna Chalk; sister, Cynthia Yannette; brother, Henry Teti. Surviving her are: husband, David Pastore Sr.; son, David Pastor Jr. DMD; daughter, Patricia Werner and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Bobby, Ryann; brother, Anthony Chalk.

Sarah M. Perna, 80, of Hammonton, died Sunday, September 20, 2009.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Sarah was a former member of Hammonton Volunteer Fire Company #2 Women’s Auxiliary.
Predeceased by: husband, Frank J. Perna Sr.; parents, Antonio and Angelina Cannata; brothers, Matthew Ordille, Joseph Cannata; sisters, Lillian Cannata, Marie Cannata. Surviving her are: children, Frank J. Perna Jr. (Barbara), Angela P. Sabato and her husband Steve all of Hammonton; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Lou) Figueroa, Steven, Frank, Vincent Sabato; great-grandchild, Ella Grace; sister-in-law, Nancy Ordille; many loving nieces and nephews and close lifelong friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing today, September 23, at 9 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

The Rev. Angelo Vincent Palermo, S.A.C., 75, of Bronx, N.Y., died Tuesday, November 10, 2009.
Father Palermo, a Pallottine priest for 49 years, was former pastor of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church.
Surviving him are: sister, Mary Franco and her husband Carmine; uncle to Albert Franco and his wife Lori and their children Carli and Melanie, Lucille Conzo and her husband Michael and their children Steven, Gabrielle and Kristina, Angelo Franco and his children Samantha and Reed, Joseph Franco and his wife Angela and their children Deanna, Alexa and J.T.; cousin to Mary Barra and her husband Lawrence, Carmella Berardi.

Vera G. Comunale (nee Scardino), 80, of Hammonton, died Monday, November 9, 2009, at home with her daughter Toni and son-in-law, Bob.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Comunale was a graduate and Vice President of the Hammonton High School class of 1947. She attended the Hammonton Baptist Church. Mrs. Comunale worked as a school librarian and attendance officer for the Hammonton Elementary School. She was also the secretary of Elm Furniture. Mrs. Comunale was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the matriarch and center of the family. She enjoyed cooking and baking especially for the holidays.
Predeceased by: husband, Anthony Comunale; parents, Carlo and Mildred Scardino; brothers, Carl, Vincent, John Scardino; sister, Marie Mausert. Surviving her are: daughter, Toni Brown and her husband Bob of Hammonton; sons, Robert Comunale and his wife Joyce of Folsom, Bruce Comunale and his wife Beth of Hammonton; grandchildren, Robert Comunale Jr. (Lynn), Anthony Comunale, Michael Comunale (Jessica), Kasi Anderson (Comunale), Kelly Cheeseman, Joseph Cheeseman; great-grandchild, Kiley Anderson; sister-in-law, Amelia Scardino.

Barbara Helen Perna (nee Lancaster), 70, of Elmer, died Monday, November 9, 2009, at Temple Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, she graduated from St. Joseph High School. She worked as a Secretarial Assistant I for the State of New Jersey. She was the past president of Alloway Wistarburg Ruritan and an active member of Hardingville Bible Church.
Predeceased by: parents, Stanley “Thomas” Lancaster and Margaret Hoyle Lancaster; brothers, Charles Lancaster, Edward Morris; granddaughters, Jennifer Perna, Shannon Fustin. Surviving her are: children, Anthony T. Perna, Barbara A.
