Debra A. Darcy (nee Harkins), 48, of Hammonton, died November 27, 2006, at her residence.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Pine Hill for many years before living in Hammonton for over 11 years. Debra graduated from Overbrook Regional High School in 1976. She worked at the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs, Calif. as a dealer. Debra and her husband Kevin operated Darcy’s Karate Studio. She also worked at the Claridge, Tropicana and Trump Marina Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.
Surviving her are: husband, Kevin; son, Elliott; daughter, Shannon; parents, James and Margaret Harkins of Smyrna, Del.; brother, Patrick Harkins and his wife Brenda of Bellmawr; sister, Margaret Simone and her husband Anthony of Magnolia.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial November 30 at St. Martin de Porres Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Anthony J. Capozza, 83, of Hammonton, died January 26, 2007, at the Heritage Assisted Living Facility in Hammonton.
Born in Springfield, Mass., he was a resident of Hammonton since he was a child. Before retiring, Mr. Capozza worked for Inferrera’s Italian Market in Hammonton. He served in the United States Army during World War II in Japan.
Predeceased by: wife, Anna; daughter, Patricia. Surviving him are: daughter, Rose Marie Scheeler and her husband John of Mays Landing; granddaughter, Jackie and her fiancé John Specht; sisters, Anna Saia of Linwood, Mildred De Bosscher; brother, Sonny Cappozza of Hammonton; brother-in-law, Sam Cannon; special nieces, Rita McFadden and her husband Michael, Verna Tomasco and her husband Dennis; many other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on January 29 at the St. Martin de Porres Church followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Nancy G. Jesullo, 85, of Hammonton, died January 23, 2007, at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Canonsburg, Pa., she was an area resident most of her life. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving her are: husband, Frank; son, John Gerigitan and his wife Carlene of Rosedale; stepdaughter, Donna Fanelli and her husband Ben of Blackwood; brothers, Louis, Carl Lombardo; sister, Josephine Lauricia of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Jonna and Mallory Gerigitan; stepgrandchildren, Jackie Winner, Ben and Peter Fanelli.
Relatives and friends attended a funeral service on January 27 at the Marinella Funeral Home followed by burial at Oak Grove cemetery.

Connie L. Jackson was called home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2007.
She was born in Atlantic City. She called Elwood her home for many years. Mrs. Jackson received her education in Atlantic City. She then met the love of her life Ellie Jackson. She was employed for many years at Ancora State Hospital as a Human Service Technician. She graduated from Atlantic Community College as a registered nurse, and went on to work at Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland until her retirement.
Predeceased by: beloved husband, Ellie. Surviving her are: son, Donavun Rhodes and his wife Cammille of Atlantic City; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Rhodes of Clayton; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and cousins; special caregiver, Sinclair Ceasar.

Dorothy Peowie (nee Austin), 92, formerly of Hammonton, died January 21, 2007.
She was a resident of Collingswood Manor for the past 3 ½ years.
She was born in Cape May. Her family’s roots were deep in Hammonton. Her maternal grandfather, Manley Austin, was one of the founders of the Hammonton Fire Department. Her paternal grandfather, Harry Litke, owned and operated three silent movie theaters in town where her mother, Lydia, played the piano and organ. Her father, Carl Austin, managed the local A & P. Dorothy enjoyed playing pinochle and bridge with her late sister, Ethel Ricci, and their friends. She worked as a bookkeeper in various businesses in Hammonton retiring from Abbiamo in 1989.
Predeceased by: husband, Edward Peowie. Surviving her are: daughters, Carol Barnette and her husband Doug of North East, Md., Patricia Lee of Moorestown, Eleanor (Lori) Policastro and her husband Sal of Phoenixville, Pa; grandchildren, Karen Sisk, Heather Shuker, Brian, Eric and Lindsay Lee, Sarah Montalbano, and Ethan Policastro; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Olivia and Eliza Sisk, Abigail and Hayden Shucker, Isaac Montalbano; she was also a loving aunt.

Rocco “Rocky” Bilazzo, D.C. ,48, of Bloomington, Minn., formerly of Hammonton, died on January 19.
Rocky was a 1976 graduate of Hammonton High School. In 1988 Rocky and Nancy moved to Bloomington, MN where he graduated from Northwestern Chiropractic in 1991 and maintained his practice.
Predeceased by: parents Rocco and Virginia (nee Krook) Bilazzo.
Surviving him are wife Nancy (nee McGlynn); brother John and his wife Tamie of Arlington, Mass.; sisters Bernadette Fanelli, Joann Luca and her husband John, Lorie DeMarco and her husband Ricky, and Donna Wolf and her husband Harry, all of Hammonton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on January 24 at the Solid Rock Baptist Church 49 Hayes Mill Rd. Atco, NJ 08004.
Interment followed at Berlin cemetery.

Michael Perna, 83, of Hammonton, died Friday, February 9, 2007.
Born in Rosedale, he was an area resident of Hammonton all his life. He was a retired owner and operator of Mike’s Gulf Station, and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Hammonton American Legion Post 186. In May of 1954 he joined the Hammonton Fire Company serving as Assistant Chief from 1967 to 1969 and later as chief from 1985 through 1987.
Predeceased by: wife, Marie (nee Gazzara). Surviving him are: children, Michael D. and his wife Donna of Las Vegas, Marty and his wife Suzanne of Sweetwater, Marie Ethridge of Manhattan, Michelle Perna Devine and her husband Jim of Bal Harbor, Fla., Marcia Perna of Las Vegas; dear brother of Gus Perna of Hialeah, Fla. and Babe Perna of Hammonton; grandchildren, Brittany, Stephanie, Eric Perna, Nell Ethridge.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing today after 9 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Shirley H. Crescenzo (nee Schaible), 86, of Hammonton, died March 7, 2007.
Born in Newark, she graduated from Barringer High School in 1938. Shirley married James Crescenzo Jr. in 1940 and co-owned Crescent Tire, Inc. in Hammonton until her retirement in 1991. She was one of the first founders of the Hammonton Fire Co. #2 Ladies Auxiliary, served on Hammonton P.T.A., Red Cross Blood Bank, former member of the Hammonton Soroptimist Int. of Hammonton, regional chairperson for the Deborah Hospital, and a member of St. Rita’s Society of St. Joseph Church. Shirley was a member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens and was named Senior of the Month in March of 2001.
Wife of the late James Crescenzo. Surviving her are: son, James P. Crescenzo and his wife Rose; daughter, Cynthia Mento and her husband Anthony; grandchildren, Jamie Crescenzo and his wife Carolyn, Christa Crescenzo, Erika Hroncich and her husband Paul, Anthony Mento and his wife Tricia, Michael Mento; great-grandchild, J.C. Crescenzo.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on March 10 at St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Bernice C. Egizi (nee Bauer), 69, of Braddock, died March 11, 2007, at Samaritan Hospice Center in Mt. Holly. Mrs. Egizi was a former telephone operator with Verizon in Berlin, and she also formerly worked as a telephone operator at Ancora Hospital and the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Predeceased by: children, Janine Egizi Mull, Gino Egizi. Surviving her are: sons, Gus Egizi and his wife Esther of Braddock, Bruno Egizi and his wife Michelle of Williamstown; daughters, Michele DeRose of Mays Landing, Debi Rutledge and her husband Rick of Sicklerville, Susan DiSylvestro and her husband Anthony of Hammonton; brother, Bucky Bauer of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sister, Mary Jane Motolese of Allentown, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on March 15 at 11 a.m. at the Sicklerville United Methodist Church, Church Road, Sicklerville where you may call from 9 – 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenmount cemetery.
