FRANK F. LAPA JR., 75, of Matawan died
Jan. 16 at home. Born in Sayreville, he lived there
before moving to Matawan 47 years ago. He was
a district manager for Chevron Corp., Perth
Amboy, for 25 years before retiring in 1977. He
was a communicant of St. Clement's Church,
Matawan, where he was an usher and a member
of the Holy Name Society. He also was treasurer
of the Knights of Columbus at St. Clement's. He
was an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived
by his wife, Marie Kurowksy Lapa of
Matawan; and a sister, Lenora Rog of Sayreville.
Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of
arrangements. Services were held at St.
Clement's Church, followed by burial at St.
Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.

MARGARET A. NOLAN, 56, of Hazlet died
Jan. 12 at Bayshore Community Hospital,
Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she lived there
until moving to Holmdel 32 years ago. She was
employed as a teacher's assistant at First Class
Day Care in Holmdel for eight years before
retiring in 1995. She was a communicant of St.
Benedict's Church, Holmdel. Surviving are her
father, Thomas Nolan of Hazlet; two sons,
Michael Borrelli and Thomas Borrelli, both of
Hazlet; a daughter, Karen Borrelli of Hazlet; two
brothers, Edward Nolan of Toms River and
Brian Nolan of Colonia; and one granddaughter.
Services were under the direction of Day
Funeral Home Inc., Keyport, with a Mass at St.
Benedict's Church. Interment was at St.
Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.

WILLIAM SUNDMARK SR., 73, of Howell
died Jan. 10 at Jersey Shore Medical Center,
Neptune. Born in New York, he lived in
Manasquan before moving to Howell 32 years
ago. Mr. Sundmark was a mechanical engineer
in the Quality Control section of the
Marine Craft Division at Fort Monmouth for 20
years before retiring 11 years ago. He was an
Army Corps veteran of World War II. Surviving
are his wife, Stella Chehanske Sundmark; a
son, William Jr. of Palm City, Fla.; two daughters,
Linda Kochinski and Laura Vogel, both of
Howell; and three grandchildren. Funeral
arrangements were under the direction of
C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Howell.
ROSE ALESSI, 93, of Freehold died Jan.
15 at Arnold Nursing Home, Holmdel. Born in
New York, she lived in the Oakwood section of
Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Freehold
17 years ago. Mrs. Alessi was a communicant
of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was
predeceased by her husband, Andrew Alessi,
who died 14 years ago. Surviving are a son,
Andrew Alessi of Freehold Township; a daughter,
Ann DeConzo of Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister,
Anna Ferrara of Freehold; seven grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-
granddaughter. Funeral arrangements
were under the direction of Higgins Memorial
Home, Freehold.

CECIL BASKERVILLE, 70, of Jackson
died Jan. 11 at CentraState Medical Center,
Freehold Township. Born in Freehold, he
lived in Englishtown before moving to
Jackson eight months ago. Mr. Baskerville
was a heating and air conditioning technician
with Duckett and Laird, Freehold, for 28 years
before retiring five years ago. Prior to that, he
was a truck driver with Central Jersey
Farmers Co-Op, Hightstown, for 20 years. He
was a communicant of the Second Baptist
Church, Freehold; a member of the Jersey
Shore Rovers, Chapter 378, Lake wood; and
the International Coachman Caravan. He was
an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving
are his wife, Henrietta Freer Baskerville; a
daughter, Bertha Grant of Jackson; a brother,
Anderson of Linden; three sisters, Flametta
Causby, Willnet Darby and Clara McGhee, all
of Howell; two grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction
of C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Howell.

WARREN FINLEY, 78, of Howell died Jan.
10 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved
to Howell 16 years ago. Mr. Finley was an
electrician for 28 years with the Long Island
Railroad before retiring 20 years ago. He was
a member of the Electrical Workers Union,
Queens. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth
McCall Finley; a son, Patrick of Jersey City;
two daughters, Anne Morrell of Marlton and
Teresa Patruno of South Amboy; a brother,
Charles of Englewood, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under

Home, Howell.
