MIDDLETOWN - A mass was celebrated Monday at St. Leo's Church, Irvington, for Elizabeth Deeny, of 41 Park PL, who died Thursday at home.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Mrs. Deeney lived in Ireland until 1915, when she moved to Irvington. She had resided in the township for two months.
Mrs. Deeny retired in 1962 as a commissary employee at the Prudential Insurance Co., Newark,..where she had worked for 20 years.
She was a communicant of St. Leo's Church.
Patricia Schaub

UNION BEACH - Services were held yesterday for Patricia Ann Schaub, 55, of Second Street, who died Monday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
Born in Connelsville, Pa., Mrs. Schaub lived in Newark before moving to the borough 23 years ago.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion, Post 321.
Surviving are her husband, George; a son, George Jr., Middletown; a daughter, Nancy Ann Watt, the borough; three brothers, Thomas and Harry Crawford, both of Irvington, and John Crawford, Virginia; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Schaub was cremated.
The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.

MIDDLETOWN - A mass was celebrated Monday at St. Mary's Church for Wilhelmine L. Benisch, 84, of Bentwood Terrace, who died Thursday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
Mrs. Benisch was born in Koblenz, Germany. She emigrated to the United States in 1945 and lived in Ridgewood Atlantic Highlands, and Belleville before moving to the township 11 years ago.
Surviving are a son Nicholas, New Monmouth two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
MARY ANN S. BUSH BAROFSKI, 55, formerly
of Laurence Harbor died Jan. 16 at
Easton Hospital, Easton, Pa. Born in Glen
Lyon, Pa., she lived in Laurence Harbor and
then Nanicoke, Pa., before moving to Easton
five years ago. A former communicant of St.
Lawrence Church, Laurence Harbor, she was
a homemaker..She was predeceased by her
husband, Edward Barofski Sr. Surviving are
her son, Edward Jr. of Palmer Township, Pa.;
three daughters, Cassandra Barofski of
Whiting, Mary Ann Barofski of Edwardsville,
Pa., and Cheryl Barofski of Easton; three
brothers, Robert Bush of Florida, Melvin Bush
and Samuel Bush, both of Tunkhannock, Pa;
a sister, Elizabeth Domzalski of Sussex; and
11 grandchildren. Services were under the
direction of Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with
a Mass at St. Lawrence Church, Laurence
Harbor. Interment was in St. Joseph's
Cemetery, Keyport.

DORA (LIEBERMAN) BAUM, 65, of
Aberdeen died Jan. 9 at Bayshore Community
Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she
lived in Nutley before moving to Aberdeen 27
years ago. She was employed as an assistant
controller for Basicline in Perth Amboy for the
past five years. She was predeceased by her
husband James. Surviving are a son, Brian
Brqdsky of Freehold; a daughter, Robin Lee
Brodsky of Aberdeen; her mother, Paula
Lieberman of Rockaway, N.Y.; a brother, Jerry
Lieberman of Woodmere, N.Y.; and a sister,
Tedi Langsam of Boca Raton, Fla. Services
were held at Shalom Chapels, Aberdeen.
Interment was at Forest Green Park Cemetery,
Marlboro.

EDWARD J. CORCORAN, 62, of
Cliffwood Beach died on Jan. 13 in Colts
Neck. Born in New York, he lived there until
moving to Cliffwood Beach 30 years ago. He
worked as a piumber-steamfitter for East
Jersey State Prison in Rahway for 12 years
before retiring in 1994. He was a communicant
of St. Joseph's Church, Keyport, and
was an Army veteran. Surviving are his wife,
Caroline Schweizer Corcoran; five daughters,
Annemarie Corcoran of Cliffwood Beach,
Lynn Berghahn of Laurence Harbor, Carol
Orchard of Hazlet, and Kelly Popowych and
Laurie Szeles, both of Aberdeen; a son, Edward
C. of Cliffwood Beach; and seven grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of
Day Funeral Home, Keyport, with a Mass at
St. Joseph's Church.

SUSAN GILLESPIE, 87, of Hazlet died Jan.
14 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge
division. Her husband, Joseph Gillespie, died in
1958. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Gillespie
of East Brunswick and James Gillespie of
Hazlet; two daughters, Betty Jackson of Old
Bridge and Susanna Reiners of Gambrills, Md.;
two sisters, Bessie of Medway, Mass., and
Margaret of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren; and
nine great-grandchildren. Services were
arranged by Michael Hegarty Funeral Home,
Old Bridge, with a Mass at St. Ambrose Church,
Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross
Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.

DOROTHY KAYSER, 76, of Matawan died
Jan. 16 at home. Born in New York City, she
lived in Staten Island, N.Y. most of her life
before moving to Matawan a year ago. She
was a secretary for New York City's Housing
Authority for 20 years, retiring in 1980.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas E.
Kayser; a daughter, Maureen Paolantonio of
Matawan; two sisters, Antionette Doran of
Andover, Mass., and Julia Thurston of
Sebastian, Fla.; and two grandsons. Services
were under the direction of Monmouth
Memorial Funeral Home, Aberdeen, with a
Mass at Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic
Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in
Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island. *
