MARIE PASQUALETTI, 74, of JACKSON, died Sunday, July 30, at Bartley Health Care, Jackson. Mrs. Pasqualetti was born in New York, N.Y., and had lived there until moving to Closter for 40 years, then to Jackson in 2002. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Pasqualetti was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson. She was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Closter, and their Rosary Society.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph N. Pasqualetti; a son, Mark Pasqualetti of Freehold; two daughters, Susan Costelloe of Howell, and JoAnn Costelloe of Freehold; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Victor Laucello of Pomona, N.Y., and Peter Laucello of New York, N.Y.; and two sisters, Theresa Lipp of Monroe Township, and Rosemarie Abbruzese of Orangeburg, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by her 9 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold. Burial will follow at St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.

KATHERINE "KATHY" T. PATTERSON, 67, of HOWELL, died Saturday, Dec. 23, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Patterson was born in Elizabeth, and had lived in Point Pleasant and Brick before settling in Howell in 1970. She was an elementary school teacher, teaching in the Brick Township and Howell Township School systems. Along with other family members, she owned and operated Patterson Greenhouses, Howell. Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of Kean University.
Surviving are her husband, Donald W. Patterson of Howell; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Alan Patterson of Howell, Rich and Mary Patterson of Port Monmouth, and David and Meredith Patterson of Howell; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy and Bill Sculthorpe of Freehold Township, and Sharon Patterson of Howell; three grandchildren, Tommy Sculthorpe, Brenna Sculthorpe, and Wesley Patterson; one brother, James Cook of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and one sister, Joanne Crowley of Jekyll Island, Ga.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 10: 30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harvey Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Ardena Baptist Church Cemetery, Howell.

SERHIJ "SERGE/STEVE" PAVLIV, 84, of LAKEWOOD, died Tuesday, May 1, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Pavliv was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, and came to the U.S. in 1947 and settled in Lakewood. He was a member of St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, and an active parishioner and choir member of St. Stephen's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Toms River. Along with his late brother, Boris, he owned and operated Stephen Brothers Mason Contractors, Howell, for 50 years, retiring in 1995.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sofia, in 2005; and his brother, Boris, in 1995. Surviving are three sons, Mark Pavliv of Spring Lake, Steven Pavliv of Freehold Township, and George Pavliv of Lakewood; a sister, Nina Rupieks of New Town, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. today at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the cathedral. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Pavliv may be made to either St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Cathedral, 220 Alexander Ave., Howell, NJ 07731, or St. Stephen Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1344 White Oak Bottom Road, Toms River, NJ 08755, and would be appreciated.

LYDIA ANN PAWLUK, 67, of Salisbury, N.C., formerly of FREEHOLD AND JACKSON, passed away Sunday, June 24, with her family by her side at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, N.C. Lydia was born in Neptune and lived in Jackson then Freehold before moving to Salisbury in 2005. She was a school bus driver for many years for Howell Township Board of Education, retiring in 2005. She was much loved for her generosity, kindness, and humor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Pawluk; her parents, Edward Burkett and Ivy Skinner Burkett; and her son, Kenneth Hunt. Surviving are her son, Paul Hunt and his wife Susan of Midlothian, Va.; her daughter, Cynthia Hanson of Salisbury, N.C.; her son, Daniel Hunt and his wife Cathy of Greenville, S.C.; her brother, Edward Burkett and his wife Carolyn of Salisbury, N.C.; sister, Charlotte Altamura and her husband Nick of Long Branch; brother, Joseph Burkett of Alpine, Calif., and brother, Thomas Burkett and wife Gaylene of Dublin, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Kimberly Jackle and her husband Ian, Kristin and Kelsey Hunt, Timothy and Andrea Hunt, and one great-grandchild, Chloe Jackle; several nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends.

KEVIN A. PECCA SR., 49, of FARMINGDALE, died Monday, July 24, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Pecca was born in Summit, grew up in Westfield, and had lived in Maywood before moving to Howell 21 years ago. He was a parishioner and lector at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. Mr. Pecca was a member of the Toastmasters Speakers Association. He coached soccer and AAU basketball, Monmouth County. Mr. Pecca received his BA from Rider University, where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was an executive software salesman for Fortified Software, Sima Valley, Calif., and New York City. Prior to that, he worked for Mercury Software.
Surviving are his wife, Kelley Pecca, and a son, Kevin Anthony Pecca Jr., at home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Pecca may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Central Jersey Chapter, 740 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702, and would be appreciated.

LILLIAN J. PELLEGRINI, 86, of POINT PLEASANT, died Friday, Aug. 11, at the Medical Center of Ocean County, Brick. Lillian was born in Newark where she lived before moving to Point Pleasant in 1980. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church, Point Pleasant. Lillian was a sales associate at Brielle Galleries, Brielle, for 15 years, retiring in 1995.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joan Pellegrini of Freehold Township; a sister, Mildred Coleman of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Kim Tashjian, Ava Pellegrini, and Gerald Pellegrini; and five great-grandchildren, Ray, Chris, Nicholas, Gabriela, and Ricardo.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral services at 8: 30 p.m. Tuesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, with the Rev. Thomas J. O'Connor officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8: 30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

ROBERT J. PELLICANO, 57, of HOWELL, died Wednesday, April 25, at home. Mr. Pellicano was born in Brooklyn and had lived on Long Island and Peru, N.Y., before moving to Howell 24 years ago. He was a manufacturer's representative for Mid-Atlantic Sales Inc., Allaire, Md., for the past four years. Prior to that, he worked for PSP Sales, Howell, for 19 years. Mr. Pellicano was a member of the Surf Corvette Club, the NCRS, and the Barnegat Bay Power Squadron.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Pellicano; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert "Rob" A. Pellicano of Naperville, Ill., and Timothy F. and Megan Pellicano of Toms River; a daughter, Amy K. Pellicano of Howell; his mother, Geraldine Pellicano of Peru, N.Y.; two sisters, Candi Ellison and Linda Baker, both of Peru, N.Y.; and two grandsons, Sean O'Donnell and Joseph Robert Pellicano.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. MARY PELSZYNSKI, 91, of MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, died Friday, Feb. 16, at home. Mrs. Pelszynski was born in Bayonne and had lived in Staten Island, N.Y., Clark, Brick, and Tinton Falls before moving to Millstone Township in 2000. Mrs. Pelszynski was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Millstone Township.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley A. Pelszynski, in 1986. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stanley Pelszynski of Oceanside, Calif., and Richard and Patricia Pelszynski of Fairfax Station, Va.; one daughter, Elaine Landy of Millstone Township; one granddaughter and her husband, Lisa and Eric Bertotti of Carlsbad, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ian, and Eli Bertotti of Carlsbad, Calif.

LEONARD "LEN" F. PICKELL JR., 53, of HOWELL, died Wednesday, June 13, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Pickell was born in Norristown, Pa., and had lived in Plymouth Township, Pa., before moving to Howell in 1982. Mr. Pickell received both his undergraduate and master's degrees from Temple University. He worked with many charities in the area and enjoyed good food and fine wine and was an avid Eagles fan.
He was predeceased by his beloved father, Leonard F. Pickell Sr. Len was the beloved husband of Marlene Sweeney Pickell; proud father of Brittany and Margaux Pickell of Howell; beloved son of Bette Pizzica Pickell of Blue Bell, Pa.; and beloved brother of Kevin Pickell of Blue Bell, Pa., and Derek A. Pickell of Boynton Beach, Fla.
Visiting hours will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until his funeral service at 4 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.

TOM J. PIESZCHALA, 50, of HOWELL, died Saturday, May 27, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Pieszchala was born and raised in Staten Island and had lived there and Woodbridge prior to moving to Howell in 1986. Mr. Pieszchala was a driver for Conway Motors, Lakewood. Prior to that, he was a driver at Royal Foods, Avenel. He was an active volunteer for the Howell United Soccer Club. He loved Ortley Beach and Hawaii. His priority was his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Janet D. Pieszchala; his father-in-law, George Dunkelberger; and a brother-in-law, George Dunkelberger. Surviving are his wife 25 years, Debbie Pieszchala of Howell; a son, Neil Pieszchala at home; a daughter, Megan Pieszchala at home; his father, Joseph Pieszchala and his companion Violet of Orlando; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Janice Shand of Darien, Conn., and Daniel and MaryAnn Pieszchala of Hamilton; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Dunkelberger of Fords; sister-in-law, MaryBeth Dunkelberger of Stewartsville, Md.; his faithful canine companion, Pebbles; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday followed by his 11 a.m. funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church of Belmar, Ninth Avenue and E Street, Belmar. PETER P. POKLIKUHA, 92, of FARMINGDALE, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, at home. Mr. Poklikuha was born in South River and had lived in Parlin before moving to the Howell-Farmingdale area in 1962. Mr. Poklikuha was a parishioner at the church of St. Veronica, Howell. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a cloth cutter for ILGWU Local 10, New York, working for Wilshire Fashions, South River.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rose, in 1958; and a daughter, Joanne, in 2000. Surviving are four sons, Dennis Poklikuha of Portland, Ore., Theodore Motusesky of Toms River, David Poklikuha of Farmingdale, and Paul Poklikuha of West Creek; three daughters, Elizabeth Beck of Lula, Pa., Christine of Virginia, and Madelaine Gebhardt of Farmingdale; one sister, Marya Macunovich of Riverside, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township.
