ANDREW J. JROSKI JR., 76, of SOUTH BELMAR, died Friday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a detective with the Hudson County Police Dept., Jersey City, for 35 years before retiring in 1981. He studied law enforcement at Seton Hall University, South Orange. He was a lifemember of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 31 and the American Legion D and A Skinner No. 439, both Jersey City, and a member of the American Legion Post 346, Neptune. Born in Jersey City, he moved to South Belmar in 1986.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Janice M. Goldey Jroski; two daughters, Kathryn A. Koscielecki and Nancy M. Ruggiero; four grandchildren, Jason Ruggiero and Jeremy, Amanda and Jillian Koscielecki.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

JENNIE SAVINO CONTE, 92, of BELMAR
JENNIE SAVINO CONTE, 92, of BELMAR, died Thursday at home. She worked for Westinghouse, Bloomfield, for many years before retiring in 1970. She was an active member of the Association of Retarded Citizens. Born in Newark, she lived there for many years before moving to Belmar 15 years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vito. Surviving are a son, Anthony of Belmar and two brothers, Adam and Paul Savino.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today at LaMonica Memorial Home, 299 Bloomfield Ave., Bloomfield. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.

JOHN J. HUGHES, 66, of BRICK
JOHN J. HUGHES, 66, of BRICK, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was aN HVAC Engineer for New York Air Conditioning Local 94. He was a Navy Veteran, serving aboard the USS New Jersey. He was a former member of the New Milford Lodge B.P.O.E. He was born in raised in the Bronx and lived in New Milford for 30 years before moving to Brick in 1995.
His wife of 27 years, Eileen McCarthy, died in 1986. He was also predeceased by a brother, Martin. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Mary of Bernardsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Dan Napoliton of Wall; two brothers, William of Sunnyside, Queens and Phil of Durmont; two sisters, Frances Hughes of Long Beach, New York, and Veronica Kapinos of Ansonia, Conn.; and five grandchildren, Brian, Danielle, John, Thomas, and Robert.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Johnson-McGinley Funeral Home, Route 138 Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church, Route 33 at West Bangs, Neptune. Interment will follow at Hackensack Cemetery, 289 Hackensack Ave., Hackensack. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jersey Shore Foundation, 1945 Corlies Ave. Neptune, NJ 07753.

KATHERINE C. MILLER, 97, of OCEAN GROVE
KATHERINE C. MILLER, 97, of OCEAN GROVE, died Friday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was secretary to the director of nonathletic activities at Columbia University, New York. She was also a secretary at the Juilliard School, Lincoln Center, New York, as well as Fort Monmouth, the x-ray department of Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, the Neptune Board of Education and the Ocean Township Board of Education. She graduated from Columbia University. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Asbury Park. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a lifemember of the Asbury Park Women's Club. Born in South Amboy, she lived most of her life in Ocean Township before moving to the Methodist Home, Ocean Grove, in 1991.
Her husband, Clifford G., died in 1966 and a daughter, Catherine C. Nodine died in 1978. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Clifford H. and Pamela of Ocean Township; two grandchildren, Karen Pinkley of Navarre, Fla., and Carl Nodine; and three great-grandchildren, Denise, Carl and Christine Nodine, all of Lincroft.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Father David Hermanson officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown. LEON ZEFF, 75, of FREEHOLD
LEON ZEFF, 75, of FREEHOLD, died Friday at Barbara E. Chung Memorial Hospice, Edison. He was the director of financial planning and analysis for McCall Pattern Co, New York, for 10 years before retiring in 1989. Born in Brooklyn, he lived for 10 years in New York before moving to Freehold 10 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Heitman Zeff; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Frank Engel and Lynn Zeff, all of Freehold; two brothers, Arthur of Brick and Milton of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; a sister, Lucille Muser of Baltimore; and four grandchildren, Scot, Joshua, Cari and Katharine.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave., Manalapan. Internment will be at Floral Park Cemetery, Deans. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Barbara E. Chung Memorial Hospice, Edison.

MARY SMITH MAHONEY, 80, of WALL
MARY SMITH MAHONEY, 80, of WALL, died Friday at home. She owned and operated Nanette Shop, Point Pleasant Beach, a women's clothing store, for 37 years before retiring last year. She graduated from Fort Lee High School. She was a communicant of St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, Manasquan. She was a fund raiser with Deborah Hospital Foundation, Browns Mills. Born in Fitchburg, Mass., she lived in Fort Lee, Point Pleasant Beach and Brielle before moving to Wall eight years ago.
A daughter, Kathleen Smith Hartzell, died in 1984 and a sister, Minette Dobson, died last year. Surviving are her husband, Charles J.; a son, Gerard P. Smith of Dallas; three stepsons, Timothy Mahoney of Knoxville, Tenn., Mark Mahoney of Charlotte, N.C., and Keith Mahoney of Breckenridge, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Cravese of Gainesville, Fla.; a sister, Frances Warner of Verona; three grandchildren, Candace Kilgore and Alyssa and Leigh Smith; and a great-grandson, Connor Kilgore.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at O'Brien Funeral Home, Route 35 and New Bedford Road, Wall. A funeral service will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Denis Church, Manasquan. Interment will be private. ROBERT BURGEY, 52, of UNION BEACH, died Friday at Bayshore Community Hospital. He was the owner and operator of Blac/Gold X-Press along with his partner, Al Lombardo. He was a member of VFW, Cliffwood Lodge.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Carmella, and a sister, Margaret Maffie. Surviving are his wife, Carole; a son, Tommy Vena of Middleton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Leslie Burgey of Somerville and Carleen and Hector Ramos of Cliffwood; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Moriah, Julliette, Roxanne, Cody and Cameron; four brothers, George of Winsdor and Charles, Dennis, and Kenneth, all of Vineland; and two sisters, Patricia Karlik of Florida and Rosemarie Klein of Cliffwood.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, 501 Route 79, Morganville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Methodist Church, Hazlet. Interment will follow at the Shoreland Cemetery. SARAH BELLING, 86, of OCEAN died yesterday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a seamstress for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna Dinewey Hakim; her husband, Joseph Sr.; three sisters, Mary Spatafora, Helen Gualandi and Genevieve Hakim; and two brothers, Albert and Louise Hakim. Surviving are two sons, Joseph J. Jr. of Colts Neck and Raymond S. of Los Angeles; a sister, Isabelle Hakim of Wilkes-Barre; six grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service Corporation, Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church. Interment will from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Church. WINIFRED REYNOLDS BROWN, 82, of MIDDLETOWN, died Friday at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Shrewsbury. She was a member of the Women's Garden Club, Staten Island. Born in Staten Island, she moved to Middletown in 1969.
Her husband, the Hon. Lawrence Vroom Brown, died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Pamela B. Diamond of Tinton Falls; three grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Worden-Hoidal Funeral Home, 60 E. Front St., Red Bank. A funeral service will follow at 9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island.

RAYMOND J. SCHWIND, 77, of BEACH HAVEN, died Friday. He was an electronic repairman for Olivetti Typewriter for 35 years, retiring in 1981. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishoner and usher of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Prospect Park. He was a member of AARP and the Disabled American Veterans, Stafford. Born in Clifton, he lived in Haledon for 33 years before moving to Beach Haven.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elsie Kooistra Schwind. Surviving are two sons, Paul of Haledon and Mark of Waldwick; a brother, Deacon Albert of Beach Haven; three sisters, Jean Warholic of Clifton, Marie Schwind of Clifton and Rita Fyan of Phoenix; three grandsons, Gary Tommy and Jeffery Schwind; and two granddaughters, Mary Beth and Meegan Schwind.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at DeLuccia-Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Ave., Haledon. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Prospect Park. Interment wil be at the Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

YVONNE FISH JACKSON, 64, of LAKEWOOD, died Tuesday at Lakeview Health Center, Lakewood. She was an employee of Medicenter Health Care Center, Lakewood, for many years. Born in Princeton, she lived in Lakewood most of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Airre and Carrie Fish. Surviving are two brothers, Eric Fish of Lakewood and James Marshall of Stillwater, Okla.; three sisters, Peggy Glass and Dianna Hill of Lakewood and Flora Marshall of Newark; an aunt; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lakewood Church of God, East Fifth Street, Lakewood. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Doris Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Nathaniel Small Funeral Service, Irvington, is in charge of arrangements.
