EDWARD WIECKOWSKI, AGE 74, WOODBRIDGE
Edward R. Wieckowski, 74, died yesterday at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Jersey City, he resided in Iselin for the past 47 years.
He was employed by Colgate-Palmolive in Jersey City for 31 years, retiring as a foreman of the company's machine shop in 1983. He was a member of the Colgate-Palmolive Retirees Association.
He was a communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Courtney Wieckowski; two daughters, Diane Martinez of Linden and Susan Greenfeder of Metuchen; three sons, Robert Wieckowski of Edison, Jack Wieckowski of South Plainfield and Thomas Wieckowski of Corydon, Ind.; a sister, Irene Wieckowski of Lyndhurst; a brother, Joseph Wells of Los Angeles, and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Green St. and Barron Ave., Woodbridge, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Interment will take place at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

George Myers, 87, of Spotswood died yesterday at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division.

ISABEL MILLER, AGE 77, PERTH AMBOY
Isabel E. Shafranski Miller, 77, of Perth Amboy died yesterday at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison.
She was born in Perth Amboy and lived there most of her life.
She was employed as a salesperson for 10 years for the Woolworth Co. in Perth Amboy before retiring in 1969.
Her husband, Francis, died in 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Jones of Helmetta; a sister, Helen McCardle of Woodbridge; two grandchildren, Harry Jones and Susan Gulyas, and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Most Holy Rosary R.C. Church in Hopelawn. Burial will follow at Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Fords. Arrangements are under the direction of Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Lakeview School, Roosevelt Park, Edison, NJ 08837.

MARY ROGERS, AGE 94, HOWELL
Mary K. Rogers, 94, of Port Richey, Fla., died Tuesday at Madison Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center in New Port Richey, Fla.
Born in New York City, she lived in Howell before moving to Florida in 1986. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hudson, Fla., and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Greiner of New Port Richey, Fla.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements in Florida are under the direction of National Cremation Society, New Port Richey.

MARY VALOUSKY, AGE 81, CLIFFWOOD BEACH
Mary Pillar Valousky, 81, of Matawan died Tuesday at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.
She was born in Johnstown, Pa., and lived in Cliffwood Beach for 22 years before moving to Matawan in 1986.
She was a communicant of Most Holy Redeemer R.C. Church in Old Bridge.
Her husband, Michael Valousky, died in 1985. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, John Pillar and Albert Bilavsky. She is survived by her daughter, Aileen Pasley of Matawan, and two grandchildren, Alycia and Todd Pasley.
Services will be held Saturday morning (time to be announced) at Kurzawa Funeral Home, 338 Main St., South Amboy, followed by a Mass at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Old Bridge. Entombment will take place at Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Colonia. Visiting hours are 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

MILDRED LEIS, AGE 81, METUCHEN
Mildred Meta Leis, 81, of Metuchen died yesterday at The Mary Anne Hale Pavilion of Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
She was born in Metuchen and was a lifelong resident of the borough.
Miss Leis was secretary to the principal at Metuchen High School for 42 years before retiring in 1979. The Metuchen High School yearbook was once dedicated to her.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords.
She is survived by her five sisters, Gertrude C. Leis of Metuchen, Claire A. Duigon of Toms River, Sister Elizabeth Marie Leis of Ashton, Pa., Joan Frances Leis of Metuchen and Florence Winifred Mumford of Ridgefield, Conn.
Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt. 27), Metuchen, followed by a 10 a.m. service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Her family asks that donations be made to The American Parkinson's Disease Association Inc., 1250 Hylan Blvd., Suite 4B, Staten Island, NY 10305-1944.

SOL ADOFF, AGE 91, NEW BRUNSWICK
Sol Adoff, 91, a Century Village resident of Pembroke Pines, Fla., died yesterday at the Hospice Center of Pembroke Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
Born in Bayonne, he resided in New Brunswick, Highland Park and North Miami Beach, Fla., before moving to Pembroke Pines several years ago.
He was the owner and operator of New Brunswick Window Cleaning and the Middlesex Building Maintenance Co., both in New Brunswick, for over 40 years before he retired in 1975.
During World War II, he worked at Raritan Arsenal in Edison.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of New Brunswick Free and Accepted Masons (F&AM) lodge, and an active member of the New Brunswick Elks. He was also very active in activities of both B'nai B'rith and the Anti-Defamation League in the New Brunswick area.
He also worked as a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program in New Brunswick and later in Florida. In recognition for his community service, his name was enscribed on the "Tree of Life" memorial at Century Village Temple in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Ida (Shevitz) Adoff. He was the husband of the late Ida Dubin Adoff, who died in 1984.
Surviving are his two daughters, Judy A. Schwartz of Woodbridge, Conn., and Vivien A. Silverstein of Stratford, Conn.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick. Arrangements are by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick.

JULIA SLAVICK, AGE 99, EDISON
Julia V. Slavick, 99, died Tuesday at Keswick Pines Care Center in Whiting.
She was born in New Brunswick and lived there before moving to Edison many years ago.
She was a homemaker. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Edison, and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3117 in Edison.
She was a communicant of Guardian Angels R.C. Church in Edison and belonged to the church's Altar Rosary Society.
Her husband, Wendell Slavick, died in 1985. She is survived by a daughter, Julia S. Craft of Whiting; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave., Edison, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at Guardian Angels R.C. Church in Edison. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
