MICHAEL A. MATTIA, Beloved husband of Domenica. Loving father of Michael Jr., Nicolas, Dominick & Dana. Cherished son of Arthur & Eleanor Mattia. Fond brother-in-law of Rosanna & Michael Leone, Lillian Mattia and Doreen Mattia. Dearest friend of Charles and Augusta Rini, Michael and Anita Volpes, Michael Caicio and John Cartiglia and many others.
ALAN W. McCORMICK, 76, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Wednesday, May 9, at Bartley Health Care & Rehab., Jackson. Mr. McCormick was born in Red Bank and had lived there, Middletown, and Port St. Lucie, Fla., before moving to Freehold in 1999. Mr. McCormick was a graduate of Red Bank High School, Class of 1948. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in Korea. He was a loving husband, father and grandpy. Mr. McCormick was a program analyst at Fort Monmouth for over 30 years, retiring in 1985.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Patricia Noonan McCormick; four sons, David A. McCormick and his wife, Maureen of Hackensack, Keith J. McCormick and his wife, Denise of Howell, Paul H. McCormick of Zionsville, Pa., and his companion, Debra, and Patrick J. McCormick and his wife, Sheila of Farmingdale; a brother and sister-in-law, Howard S. Jr. and Frances McCormick of Adelphia; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, William and Elna Robinson of Port Orchard, Wis., and John Noonan Jr. of Fair Haven; and seven grandchildren, Katheryn, Patrick, Nicholas, Alexander, Kelly, Bridget, and Casey McCormick.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Saturday until his funeral service at 4: 45 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend. Procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday for the inurnment at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, Holmdel.

James D. McGettigan, 83, of Freehold Township died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Care One in Holmdel. Visiting will be at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by his 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, McLean Street, Freehold. Burial will follow in N.J. Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. Mr. McGettigan was born in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge and lived in Rahway before moving to Freehold 10 years ago. He was a machinist at Hyatt Roller Bearing in Clark and then was the owner of the Squires Inn in Gouldsboro, Pa., and the Blarney Stone in Roselle Park until his retirement. He then worked as a security officer at Rahway Hospital. Jim was a World War II veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart, serving proudly with the 3rd infantry in central Europe with the U.S. Army. He also received four Bronze Stars and was a prisoner of war (P.O.W.) survivor. He was a member and past commander of the V.F.W. Post 7363 in Clark, a member of P.O.W. Chapter 1 of New Jersey, a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Rahway, and a member of the Shade Tree Commission in Clark. He was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia, in 1955. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Lou McGettigan of Freehold Township; two sons, James D. Jr. of Neptune and Richard of Red Bank; daughter and son-inlaw, Donna Lee and John of Bethlehem Township, and one sister, Elizabeth Sass of Winfield Park.

DANIEL J. McNAMEE, 71, of HOWELL, died Monday, April 2, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. McNamee was born in New York City and had lived there before moving to Howell in 1973. Mr. McNamee was a parishioner of The Church of St. Veronica, Howell. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by all. Mr. McNamee was a custodian with the Freehold Regional School District for 16 years, where he was the union president for Region 9 of N.J.E.A., Long Branch. Prior to that, he was an armed security guard with Brinks, until 1984. Mr. NcNamee was proud of his Irish heritage and loved Irish music.
He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Coyle, in 1986. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Lucy McNamee; four sons, Brian McNamee and his wife Roni of Brick, Neal McNamee of Jackson and his companion Joan, Daniel McNamee of Freehold Township and his fiancee Jenifer, and Dermot McNamee and his wife Stacy of Howell; two daughters, Elizabeth Oldham and her husband Rich of Jackson, and Maura Emery and her husband Ryan of Garnet Valley, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Bernie Coyle; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9: 30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home for his funeral service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.

HAROLD J. MELVIN JR., 74, of HOWELL, died Thursday, Feb. 15, at home. Mr. Melvin was born in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn and lived in Roosevelt before moving to Howell in 1961. He was a cabinet maker, and along with his father, he owned M & M Woodcraft in Roosevelt, until his retirement in 2001.
Surviving are his wife, Gail M. Melvin; two daughters, Cynthia Flora of Freehold, and Susan McKelvey of Howell; a brother, George Melvin of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Burch of Trenton, and Eileen Hicks of Florida; and two grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service Monday at the funeral home at a time to be announced. Interment to follow in East Windsor Cemetery, East Windsor.

LUCILLE A. MILLER, 57, of JACKSON, died Sunday, July 2, at home. Mrs. Miller was born in Jersey City and lived in East Brunswick and Monroe Township before moving to the Four Seasons at Metedeconk, Jackson, in 2004. She was a program manager for Computer Sciences Corporation, Piscataway. Prior to that, she was a district manager for AT&T, East Brunswick, and she owned and operated Classic Cleaners, Marlboro.
She was predeceased by her father, Philip Lisa, in 1992. Surviving are her husband, Gary Miller of Jackson; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Gregory T. and Robyn Tanner of Freehold, and Eric P. and Kelli Tanner of Freehold; one daughter, Marisa Fennimore of Freehold; her mother, Caroline Lisa of Jackson; a brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Patricia Lisa of Jackson; a sister, Annie Alexis of Freehold; a nephew, James Alexis of Howell; a niece, Melisa Alexis of Keansburg; a goddaughter, Katlin Alexis of Keansburg; and five grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Hailey, Taylor and Ryan.
Visiting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 8: 30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by a 9: 30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery Mausoleum, Marlboro. IRENE MOLNAR, 91, of MATAWAN, died Sunday, Aug. 20, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, after a short illness. Born the daughter of John and Anna Fedor in Perth Amboy, she married Joseph Molnar in 1933. During the Great Depression, she worked in the General Cigar Factory and the Molnar family bakery on Smith Street. In 1956, she and her family moved to a farm in Browntown, then a part of Madison Township, now Old Bridge Township, to raise and train harness horses. In 1967, the family relocated to a farm in Freehold, where they built an indoor swimming pool for horses suffering race-related injuries. Her husband, Joseph Molnar, was a plumbing contractor in Perth Amboy and a harness horse enthusiast. Irene shared his interest, attending the races, especially when Ranlom Song was entered. (Ranlom is an anagram of Molnar). Ranlom Song was the first horse born on a Molnar Farm, and won many races at Freehold Raceway with her son, Joe, at the reins. Up until the week before her illness, she immensely enjoyed the New York Yankees on television and the new slot machines at Atlantic City.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1994; and a sister, Anna Fedor Buck, in 1999. She is survived by children, Sylvia Marcin and her husband Theodore of Matawan Joseph R. Molnar and his wife Hilda of Matawan, and Gerald Molnar and his wife Cynthia of Middletown, N.Y.; and brother, John Fedor and his wife Dorothy of Sayreville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church and interment in Evergreen Cemetery, both in Farmingdale, were held for immediate family only on Aug. 24. Arrangements are by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.

EILEEN M. MORGAN, 70, of FARMINGDALE, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Morgan was born in Elizabeth, was raised in Belmar and lived in Brick before moving to Farmingdale in 1967. She was the night manager at Pats Diner, Belmar, from 1959 until her retirement in 1990. Mrs. Morgan was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. She was a member of the Farmingdale Historical Society and she was the Secretary for Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
She was predeceased by her son, Robert W. "Abe" Morgan, Jr., in 2005; and a brother, Henry "Bill" Gillespie. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Robert W. Morgan, Sr. of Farmingdale; two sons, Michael "Mike" Morgan of Howell, and John "Jay" Morgan of Farmingdale; two daughters, Cindy Jennings of Howell, and Karen Morgan of Farmingdale; one daughter-in-law, Deborah "Debbie" Morgan of Manchester; two sisters, Jane L. Zonkle of Brick, and Patricia Folk of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Visiting from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Family and friends may gather at 8: 30 a.m. on Saturday for the Rite of Committal followed by her 9: 30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. EVELYNE MAE MOSER, 91, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Friday, April 20, at John L. Montgomery Care Center, Freehold Township. Ms. Moser was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Roselle before returning to Elizabeth, then settling in Freehold Township in 1990. She was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her parents, John F. and Effie Moser Sr., and a brother, John F. Moser Jr. Surviving are a sister, Catherine A. Bowden, and many cousins.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. MARY V. MUSOLINO, 86, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Thursday, March 15, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Musolino was born in Canandaigua, N.Y,. and had lived there and on Staten Island before settling in Freehold in 1992. Mrs. Musolino was a sales assistant for J.C. Penney's, Staten Island, for 20 years, retiring in 1990. Mrs. Musolino was an avid and lifelong bowler, most recently at Howell Lanes.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A.; and two brothers, Tony and Samuel DiMartino. Surviving are a son, Joseph Musolino and his wife Joyce of Freehold Township; two daughters, Geraldine Savette and her husband Robert of Seattle, Wash., and Kathy Wynn of the Rossville section of Staten Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Kristen, Michelle, Jonathan, Kyle, and Edward; and three sisters, Catherine Garutto of San Diego, Calif., Josephine Garutto of Oxford, N.Y., Sarah Catalano of Shaker Heights, Ohio.

MARGARET NEWTON, 88, of Burlington Township, formerly of LAKEWOOD, died Monday, March 5, at Marcella Center, Burlington Township. Mrs. Newton had lived in Shaftsbury, Vt., before moving to Leisure Village, Lakewood, in 1994. She was a graduate of Rider College. She was a member of the Greater Bennington Chamber of Commerce and the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Shaftsbury. Along with her late husband James, she owned and operated the Newton Milestone Motel, Shaftsbury, from 1965 to 1984. Prior to that, she worked in the Purchasing Department of Rutgers University for 14 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Newton Jr., in January 1991. Surviving are a son, James A. Newton III and his wife Valerie of Hamilton; a sister, Ellen Allaire of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

JULIA G. NOVAK, 66, of MANCHESTER, died Wednesday, April 4, at home. Mrs. Novak was born in Gyor, Hungary, and had come to the United States in 1956. She had lived in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Perth Amboy, and East Windsor, before moving to Manchester in 2006. She worked for American Can Co., Edison, for 14 years, retiring in 1989. "She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time in her garden."
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Ava and Alfred Papetti of Colts Neck, and Anna and Richard McDermott of Jackson; a brother, Frank Kovacs of Florida; and six grandchildren, Toni, Lily, Ava, and Carla Papetti, and Megan and Christopher McDermott.
