Helen V. Fischer (Gates)
MT. OLIVE — Helen V. Fischer, 89, died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Gates had previously lived in Stanhope. She was born in Boston, Mass., on Aug. 25, 1916.
Married to the late William Edward Fischer, Sr., Mrs. Fischer was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter Janice and son-in-law Richard Crissey, of Newton; a son William Jr. and daughter-in-law Mary Ellen of Lawrenceville; and a sister-in-law Florence Story, of Stowe, Vt. She also has four grandchildren; Kevin and his wife Jennifer Crissey, William Fischer III and his wife Jennifer, Jeanne Ellen and Maris and two great grandchildren, Bradley Fischer and Colin Crissey.
Mrs. Fischer was a member of the Stanhope Presbyterian Church, the Netcong-Stanhope Senior Citizens and the Mt. Olive Township Senior Citizens. She also enjoyed needle point, knitting, sewing, reading and playing the piano.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown. Interment will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "Home for Our Troops" at 1 Taunton Green, Taunton Mass.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Peter Michael Holodinski
VERNON — Peter Michael Holodinski, 62, died Sunday March 26, 2006 at his home.
Born on June 11, 1943, in Warwick, N.Y., he was the son of the late Peter Rita LaBar Holodinski.
Mr. Holodinski was a retired explosive specialist with Dyno Nobel Inc. He was a member of the Glenwood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jean Romaine, daughters Lori, of Vernon; and Jennifer Smith and her husband, Stephen, and grandson Hunter, of Vernon; his brother Robert Allen, of Aurora, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Glenwood Baptist Church, P.O. Box 314 Glenwood, N.J. 07418.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, N.Y.

Harry Becker
OAK RIDGE — Harry "Hank" Becker died on March 26, 2006 in his 85th year. Born in Clifton, Mr. Becker lived in Oak Ridge and was formerly of Butler. He worked as a laborer for OKONITE Cable Co. for 27 years.
Devoted husband of Viola "Vi" (nee Jolly). Beloved father of Phillip and his wife Carolyn, Edward and his wife Karen, and Carol Prentice and husband William. Cherished grandfather of five and great grandfather of two.
Mr. Becker was a parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Butler and a member and officer of the United Steel Workers of America. He was also a WWII Navy veteran.
Relatives and friends are invited to The Morrison Funeral Home, 86, Bartholdi Ave., Butler, on Wednesday, March 29 at 10 a.m., thence to St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, where a mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Internment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.

Linda Veronica Lohrey
ROXBURY — Linda Veronica Lohrey, 53, died on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at her home in Succasunna. She was born in New York City and grew up in Wharton. She graduated from Morris Hills High School in 1970. She then lived in New Providence before moving to Succasunna 28 years ago. She was a homemaker and years ago worked as a telephone operator at NJ Bell in Morristown.
She was very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Succasunna and served on many committees, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She also loved horseback riding and making ceramics.
Mrs. Lohrey was predeceased by her son Joey in 1998 and by her parents John and Helen Gregus. She is survived by her loving husband David of 30 years and by her two sisters, Evelyn Plumb, of Sparta and Mary Ann Heddy, of Jacksonville, Fla.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on Main Street. Donations may be made in her name to the National Neurofibromatosis Foundation, 95 Pine Street, N.Y., 10005 or to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, N.J. 07860.

Kenneth William Little
WANTAGE — Kenneth William Little, 73, died suddenly at Saint Clare's Hospital in Sussex on Sunday, March 26, 2006.
Born to the late Katherine and William Little of Lafayette, Mr. Little was a lifelong resident of Sussex County.
Mr. Little worked as a truck driver for the New Jersey Department of Transportation for more than 37 years before retiring in 1997. He also worked in the grounds maintenance department of the Sussex County Farm & Horse Show for more than 30 years. Mr. Little was an exempt member of the Lafayette Fire Department and a former member of the 4-H Club of Sussex County.
Mr. Little was predeceased by his infant daughter, Kim Marie Little, and sisters Mildred Henderson, Alice Hill and Roberta Polliak.
Mr. Little is survived by hiw wife, Rosetta (Rosie) nee Cosh Little, one son, Mark K. Little and his girlfriend, Toni, of Wantage; one sister, Alfreda Henderson of Lafayette; and two brothers, Richard and Robert, both of Lafayette. He also was cherished by two grandchildren, Lacey M. and Mark K. Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at 11 a.m. from the Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third St., Sussex. Interment will follow at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lafayette Fire Department, P.O. Box 164, Lafayette, N.J. 07848 or Sussex United Methodist Church, 15 Bank Street, Sussex, N.J. 07461.

Paul Francis Lynch
VERNON — Paul Francis Lynch, 87, died after a long illness at his residence on Monday, March 27, 2006.
Born to Paul V. and Ida Lynch in Bayonne, he lived in Bergenfield and had a summer residence in the Highlands Lakes section of Vernon since 1963, where he moved 24 years ago.
Mr. Lynch served with the United States navy Seabees during World War II and worked as a pipefitter for Pipefitters Local 247 in Ridgefield for 55 years before retiring in 1980. Mr. Lynch was an active member of the Wallkill Valley VFW Post 8441 in Vernon and a charter member of the National World War II Memorial. Mr. Lynch was a committee member for St. John's Boy Scout Troop 139 in Bergenfield for 15 years and also was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church in Highland Lakes.
Mr. Lynch is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Margaret Lynch (nee Jordan) and nine devoted children: Maureen Frazer of Highland Lakes, Barbara Strommer of Bergenfield, Paul T. of Bergenfield, James of Highland Lakes, Peggy Trass of Oradell, Michael of Vernon, Thomas of Vernon, Theresa McDonald of Highland Lakes and John of New York City. He also was cherished by 17 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
The family will receive friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be from funeral home on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Highland Lakes at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon.
Memorial gifts to the Wallkill Valley VFW Post 8441, P.O. Box 414, Vernon, N.J. 07462, or the American Cancer Society, 669 Littleton Road, Parsippany, N.J. 07054, would be appreciated.

Edwin C. Perona
ANDOVER TWP. — Edwin C. Perona, 83, died Saturday in Andover.
Born in New York City, Mr. Perona lived in Andover since 1965.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was the owner of the famous El Morocco Nightclub in New York City before retiring. He was a sports car enthusiast and a licensed pilot and was one of the first pilots to fly out of Trinka Airport in Andover in the 1940s.
He was the son of the late John and Eleanora Allono Perona. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Laura (Barrow) Perona, a son, John, of Andover, and a daughter, Nancy Neale, and her husband, Andrew, of New York City.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Interment will be at Yellow Frame Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edwin John Kulawiak
STANHOPE — Edwin John Kulawiak, 77, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Barn Hill Care Center in Newton.
Born in Passaic, he lived in Clifton and Lake Hiawatha in Parsippany and Flanders before moving to Stanhope in 1983.
Mr. Kulawiak was employed as a purchasing agent with American Cyanamid in Wayne for 33 years before retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Netcong.
He is survived by a son, John, of Stanhope, and a daughter, Ellen Weed, of Stillwater. He also is survived by five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 29, at Morgan Funeral Home, 31-33 Main St., Netcong, at 8 p.m. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 669 Littleton Road, Parsippany, N.J. 07054m or to the Parkinson's Association, 1501 NW 9th Ave., Miami, Fla. 33130.
