Audrey Davis
BRANCHVILLE — Audrey Davis, 81, died Sunday at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Davis lived in Hillsdale before moving to Branchville. Before retiring she was a homemaker and had a child care service in Washington Township, Bergen County.
Mrs. Davis is the wife of the late Sheldon R. and mother of the late Alan. She is survived by three daughters, Linda, of Branchville, Barbara Phillips and her husband Jim, of Hillsdale and Susan Wright and her husband Ray, of East Harwich, Mass., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.

Matthew J. Geiler
ANDOVER — Matthew J. Geiler, 24, died suddenly Sunday at his home.
Born in Hackensack, he lived in New Milford and Paramus prior to moving to Andover in 1986.
Mr. Geiler worked at Andover Inn as a cook for six years until the Inn closed in 2004. He was also as a delivery man for Sonny's Pizza in Andover.
He is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Betty Ann, of Andover; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Hulse, of Paramus; paternal grandmother, Marie, of Toms River; paternal grandfather, Howard, of Ringwood; one brother Scott D. and one sister, Kristin K., both at home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main Street (Route 206) Newton.

Frederick C. Grosche Jr.
GREEN — Frederick C. Grosche Jr., 78, died Monday at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Seacucus, Mr. Grosche resided in the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson prior to moving to the Greendell section of Green in 1952.
He served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Grosche worked as a distributor for RCA Records in Rockaway and then as a shop assistant for A.U.D. Plumbing in Rockaway.
He was predeceased by his wife, Edith Elaine (Johnson).
Mr. Grosche is survived by three sons, Brian, of Greendell, Frederick III, of Franklin and Kevin, of California; two daughters, Wendy, of Green and Christine Grohs, of Frankford and eight grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.

Jeanne A. Kehoe
SPARTA — Jeanne A. Kehoe, 83, died on Monday at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Kehoe was born to Dr. John Joseph and Anna Ritter in Paterson in 1921. She lived in Plainfield, Mass. for many years before moving to Fort Lee, where she lived from 1953 until 1964, when she moved to Sparta.
Mrs. Kehoe worked at Wright's Aeronautical during World War II. She was employed with Prentice Hall Publishing in Englewood Cliffs from 1955 to 1963, then worked for and served on the planning board for the Township of Sparta for many years.
She was also a member of the Columbiettes at Our Lady of the Lake Church, the Holy Name Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at Saint Clare's/Riverside Hospital and took many retreats at Loyola House in Morristown.
Mrs. Kehoe was predeceased by her husband, Prof. James P. and eight brother and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lennon, of Sparta; one brother, Edmund Ritter, of Dalton, Mass.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.

Walter M. Journey
MONTAGUE — Walter M. Journey, 76, died Sunday at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Born March 28, 1929, in Passaic, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nellie (Knapp). He previously lived in Nutley.
Mr. Journey was the owner and operator of Journey's Garage in Nutley and also worked for Zitone Construction for 10 years.
He was a member of St. James the Greater R.C. Church, Montague, a past chief of Nutley Fire Department and a past president of Nutley Rotary Club.
Mr. Journey is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma; four sons, Walter Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Sammamish, Wash., Peter and his wife, Ellen, of Succasunna, Paul and his wife, Molly, of Biloxi, Miss. and John and his fiancé, Pamela Russelle, of Matamoras, Pa.; one daughter, Christine Ingerto and her husband, Wayne, of Ogdensburg; one sister, Irene LaMoglia, of Nutley; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

Helen M. McKittrick
INTERLAKEN, N.Y. — Helen M. McKittrick, 85, died Saturday at home.
The daughter of William and Mary Burns Michell, she was born on May 24, 1920 in Shohola, Pa.
She had formerly lived in Milford, Pa. and was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Milford.
Mrs. McKittrick was predeceased by her husband, James Peter, in 2002.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine McConlogue and her husband, James, of Easton, Pa. and Roseann Jones and her husband, Ben, of Wantage; four sons, James E. and his wife, Pam, of Chesapeake, Va., Ronald, of Hueytown, Ala., Kevin and his wife, Barbara, of Interlaken, N.Y., Wayne, of Houston and four grandchildren.

Geraldine M. Schaeffer
SANDYSTON — Geraldine Mary Schaeffer, 63, died Sunday at Hackensack Medical Center in Hackensack.
Born in Dover, she was a longtime resident of the Walpack section of Sandyston.
Mrs. Schaeffer is survived by her husband of 16 years, George; one son, Mark Warner and his wife, Maryann, of Pike County, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Lynn Ayers, of Sandyston and Karen, of Mexico; one sister, Margaret Romaine, of Lake Hopatcong and two grandchildren.

Martha Witte
VERNON — Martha Witte, 74, died Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover.
Mrs. Witte was born in Wyckoff and had resided in Midland Park for 35 years. She lived in Vernon for the past 13 years.
She was a member of the Sussex Christian Reformed Church.
Mrs. Witte was predeceased by her husband, Samuel W., on June 30, 1992.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlene Westra, of Vernon; one son, Alan, of Kalamazoo, Mich. and six grandchildren.

Mary Countryman
CAMDEN, S.C. — Mary Linden Countryman, 75, died Tuesday, July 26.
Born in Sparta, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Jessie Miller Halsey Linden.
Mrs. Countryman was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, John H.
Mrs. Countryman is survived by two daughters, Amy Elizabeth Christison, of Camden, S.C. and Sarah Kathryn Baumgaertner, of Freehold, N.J.; one son, Thomas Halsey, of Mesa, Ariz. and three grandchildren.
