Pauline Murray
Pauline Murray (Fiedor) 82, Barnegat, died Friday June 13, at Barnegat Nursing Home.
Born in Gallitzin, Pa, she was formerly of Manahawkin and Spring Hill, Fla, and resided in Barnegat for the last two years.
Her husband, Thomas J. Murray, died in 1979.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Murray of Toms River, and James Murray of Spring Hill, Fla,; two daughters, Susan A. Cowie of Barnegat, and Arlene Vetro of Spring Hill, Fla.; two brothers, Edward Fiedor of Toms River, and Bernard Fiedor of Toms River; two sisters, Alice Whittemore of Toms River and Valvenia Slezak of North Haledon; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services took place June 17. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton.
Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin was in charge of arrangements.

Edward G. Ventresca
Edward G. Ventresca, 66, of Manahawkin, died July 22 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin.
Born in Newark he resided there until moving to Manahawkin 30 years ago.
Mr. Ventresca was a Communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Barnegat and worked in security for the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.
He is survived by his wife Rosanne (nee Paolillo); his mother, Alginia; three sons, Joseph of Little Egg Harbor, Louis of Manahawkin and Edward of Ledgewood; one daughter, Marianne of Manahawkin; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Sistino and Priscilla Ventresca of Manahawkin and Nicky Ventresca of North Jersey; one sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Thomas Sperduto of Livingston; grandchildren, Jordyn, Joseph and Edward; his sister-in-law, Lorraine Cherico and her husband Jerry and his mother-in-law Mary Paolillo.
Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Barnegat. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin and entrusted to Maxwell Funeral Home, Manahawkin.

Florence M. Smith
Florence M. Smith nee Falkinburg, 81, of Barnegat passed away July 26 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin.
Born in Camden she resided in this area most of ther life.
Daughter of the late Oscar and Matilda Padgett Falkinburg she was a waitress for 20 years at the Captain's Inn in Forked River. Prior to that, she worked at the Carriage House in Barnegat and Jimmy Mascola's Parkway Tavern in Manahawkin.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth G. Karen Taylor of Mt. Joy, Pa., and Edward and Tracy Smith of Little Egg Harbor; her brother, Kenneth Falkinburg of California; her sisters, June Whiteman of Barnegat, Virginia Thompson of Manahawkin and Edna Cahill of Edington, Pa.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services at the Barnegat Memorial Cemetery have been entrusted to Maxwell Funeral Home, Manahawkin.

Fredy Carl Baber
Fredy Carl Baber, 73, of Little Egg Harbor, died Tuesday July 22 at home.
Born in Newark on March 25, 1930, he was formerly of West Caldwell. He retired nine years ago from Baber Installations and relocated to Little Egg Harbor.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Josephine Fortino Baber; one sister, Ruth Granrath of Clark; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lorraine and George Lidlow of Manchester; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Eleanor and Michael Fortino of Manchester; seven nephews; six nieces, eight great-nephews and seven great-nieces.
He was a communicant of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Tuckerton.
He served as a staff sergeant for four years in the U.S. Armed Forces on Guam and in Japan.
He was a member of the Little Egg Harbor Township Zoning Board, Planning Board and Board of Health. He also was a member of the American Bowling Congress for 35 years, Long Beach Island Chapter #3728 of AARP, and the Golden Age Club and Regular Republican Club, both of Little Egg Harbor Township.
Services were held at Maxwell Funeral Home, Little Egg Harbor. Burial followed at Gate of Heaven Cementery, Hanover.

Fred Ross Jr.
Fred Ross Jr., 78, Lanoka Harbor, died July 26, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
Born in Bogota and formerly of Ridgefield Park, he moved to Lanoka Harbor in 1957.
Mr. Ross was a sergeant in the Army during World War II, and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He served with the 106th Division which fought at the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Ross owned and operated the Good Luck Farm of Lanoka Harbor from 1957 until the present, and Fred Ross Electric Motor Repair of Forked River from 1957 until 1986. He was also one of the founding members of the Vintage Auto Club of Ocean County.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Grace H., nee Cherouny; three daughters, Janet Frey of Palm Bay, Fla., Anne Staiger of Bayville, and Patricia Ross of Austell, Ga. Also surviving are six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Route 9, Forked River. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions to be made to the Lacey Historical Society, P.O. Box 412, Forked River, NJ 08731-0412 in Mr. Ross's memory.

Charles W. Littleford
Charles W. Littleford, 59, Little Egg Harbor, passed away July 22 at home.
Born in Camden he was a lifelong area resident.
He was a Carpenter for Long Beach Township. He was a member of Improved Order of the Redmen Pohatcong Tribe 61 of Tuckerton and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 493 of Mystic Island.
He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Ginny) in 2000.
Surviving are his daughter, Lisa Bretz; his two brothers, Barry and James; his sisters, Laura and Carolann; and two grandchildren, Becky and Billy Bretz.
Maxwell Funeral Home, Little Egg Harbor was in charge of arrangements.

Robert F. Mancuso
Robert F. Mancuso, 59, Tuckerton, died July 25 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, he resided in Upper Darby before moving here 20 years ago.
He was a maintenance man for Trump Plaza, Atlantic City. He was a member of St. Theresa's Church, Tuckerton.
Mr. Mancuso was a U.S.Army Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine; one son, Robert F. Jr. of Waldorf, Md., one daughter, Katherine M. Ackley, Little Egg Harbor, and one grandchild.
A memorial Mass took place Monday at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Tuckerton. Donations may be made to St. Theresa's Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are by Wood Funeral Home, Tuckerton.

Norman P. Moore
Norman P. Moore, 70, died July 16 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville after a brief illness.
Born in Plainfield, he was a 30-year resident of Branchburg before he moved to Little Egg Harbor three years ago.
He was a self-employed owner/operator for the Norman P. Moore Excavating Co. in Branchburg for more thanr 30 years.
He was avid fisherman, and a member of the fan Trailer Club (a recreational trailer club). He also was a member of the Congdon-Overlook Lodge 163 F&AM in Bernardsville, and the Tall Cedars Division.
He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Survivers include his wife of 43 years, Joann (Crovelli) of Little Egg Harbor; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Rosanne and Mike Dobrosky of Flemington; Susanne and Al Stahoski of Hillsborough, Noreen A. and Scott Frohme of Cockeysville, Md. and Stacey L. Moore of North Ridge, Calif.; six grandchildren; Stanley Frankenfield and Alen J. Stahoski of Hillsborough, Dylan M., Cory P. Colin J. Dobrsky all of Flemington, and Sarah R. Frohme of Cockeysville, Md.; two brothers, George W. Moore of Martinsville and Dewitt D. Moore of Bernard's Township, and one sister, Carol Jarvis of Vermont.
Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, Basking Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
Interment was in Somerset Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Basking Ridge.

Angela Marie Browne
Angela Marie Browne, 32, Savannah, Ga., died Sunday July 20 at home.
Born in Red Bank, she lived in Lacey Township and Toms River before moving to Georgia in 1998.
She was a graduate of Lacey High School 1989, and Richard Stockton College, Pomona. She was employed with Thomas & Hutton Engineering as a geographical information system sattalite analyst in Savannah.
Angela was a avid nature lover and was a member of the National URISA Association and the National ASPRS, both nature organizations.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Save a Life, 4 Raintree, Savannah, Ga. or the Nature Conservacy, P.O. Box 9391 Savannah, Ga.
Surviving are her fiancee, George Johnson of Savannah, Ga.; her mother, Georgeanna Cernek, Toms River; her father and wife, Lou and Patricia Browne, Key Largo; her paternal grandmother, Ann Marie Dwight, Atlanta, Ga.; the extended beloved Cernek Family of Lacey Township; uncles, John, Bob, Lee and aunt Frances; nine cousins; and two sisters, Angel and Gina Browne of Florida and one brother, Anthony Browne of Ashburn, Va.
A funeral service took place at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Homes, Toms River. Cremation followed at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

Louis Anthony Browne
Louis Anthony Browne, 34, of Ashburn, Va., died July 24 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Born in Red Bank, he lived in Lacey Township and Toms River before moving to Reston, Va.
He was a graduate of Chubb Institute and was a network engineer for Segovia of Reston, Va.. Also, he was owner and operator of Paradox Internet Solutions.
Surviving are his mother, Georgeanna Cernek, Toms River; his father and wife, Lou and Patricia Browne, Key Largo; his paternal grandmother, Ann Marie Dwight, Atlanta, Ga.; extended beloved Cernek Family of Lacey Township; uncles, John, Bob, Lee and Aunt Frances; nine cousins; and two sisters, Angel and Gina Browne of Florida. His sister, Angela Marie Browne, died July 20.
A funeral service took place at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Homes, Toms River. Cremation followed at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

Edward H. Behr Jr.
Edward H. Behr Jr., 85, Manahawkin, died July 25 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin.
Born in Newark, he resided in Cherry Hill before moving to Manahawkin.
He was employed by Watson-Stillman Company, Rochester, N.Y. as a designer for 43 years, retiring in 1983.
Mr. Behr was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an avid salt water fisherman and a former member of St. Bartholmew Church, Cherry Hill.
Surviving are his wife Muriel (Mead); and one sister, Grace Paterson of Manahawkin.
Services took place at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin. Internment was private in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
