Lillian E. Murtha
Lillian E. Murtha, 77, of Barnegat, died Nov. 28 at her daughter's home.
Born in Rahway she resided in Metuchen before moving to Barnegat in 1986.
She was employed by various retail positions in the Ocean County area.
Lillian was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother and friend. Her memory will live on in al those who knew her and loved her.
She was a member of the Oak Tree Presbyterian Church in Edison.
She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1989; Two brothers, Russell Armstrong in 2001, Wallace Armstrong in 1989, and one sister, Doris Pfeifer in 1999; she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rozek of Barnegat; one son, Peter Murtha Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two grandchildren, Roman and Victoria Rozek of Barnegat.
A gravesize service took place Tuesday. Interment was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Rahway.
Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin was in charge of arrangements.

Edward J. Schadt
Edward J. Schadt, 72, of Barnegat, died Nov. 30 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin.
Born in Newark he resided there before moving to Barnegat in 1973.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Newark as a mail carrier for 20 years, retiring in 1972.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War
Mr. Schadt was employed from 1975 to 1992 as a bus driver for Barnegat. He was a member of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Barnegat.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucille (Barrasso); two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Tom English of Barnegat and Susan and Jim Yosh of Chesterfield, Va.; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Erin, and Patrick English of Barnegat.
Thew viewing was Tuesday, a Mass will take place at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Barnegat. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin.

Edith Caruso
Edith Caruso nee Sicoli, 91, of Manahawkin, died Nov. 30, at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin.
Born in Newark she resided in Manahawkin for the past 25 years. She was formerly of Bloomfield and Belleville.
Edith was a seamstress, employed at Minichinni, Newark, for 16 years. She was a member of the Women's Club of Fawn Lakes, Manahawkin.
She is survived by her son, Arthur V. Caruso of Belleville; one grandson, Arthur J. Caruso; two granddaughters, Laura J. Caruso and Valerie J. Caruso; great-grandchild, Michael Arthur Maglione; three sisters, Josephine Kalloucis, Jeannette Cerrato, and Viola Lanzotti; three brothers, Peter Sicoli, Frank Sicoli, and Eddie Sicoli.
Her husband, Arthur D. Caruso, died in 1992.
A Memorial Mass will take place at 11 a.m., Dec. 14 at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin.
In lieu of flowers, donations to SOCH, CCU Unit, 1140 Rte. 72 West, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 will be appreciated.

Harry Edward Parvin
Harry Edward Parvin, 85, of Barefoot Bay, Fla., died Nov. 28, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born June 9, 1917 in Collingswood, and moved to Barefoot Bay in 1987, from Ship Bottom.
Mr. Parvin owned and operated Harry's Plumbing in Ship Bottom for 40 years.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a volunteer with the Beach Haven First Aid Squad for 20 years, and volunteer with the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Sextant Lodge 286 in Beach Haven.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Jackie Parvin of Barefoot Bay, Fla.
Private Masonic funeral hnors were held.
Arrangements were by the Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, Fla.

Christian R. Arllen
Christian R. Arllen of Marlton, formerly of Pennsauken and Long Beach Island, died March 15 at the age of 86.
He was the loving husband of Marie (Gelhaar) for 62 years; the father of Rick and his wife Nancy, of Ivy, Va., and Chris and her husband Bob Reeder of Stroudsburg, Pa.; grandfather to four, Christian and David Arllen, and Sarah and Bobby Reeder. He also leaves a sister, Ida Mae Brown of Woodbury.
Chris was a leader in his community, agenerous neighbor, and friend to all he met. Whether visiting with those who passed while he worked in his yard, assisting a stranger in need, or sending E-mails afar, Chris shared a bright spirit wherever he passed. He will be missed for his quick wit, contagious smile, and love of life.
A Masonic Service was conducted by Trimble Lodge No. 117 on March 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, followed by a memorial service. Interment at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Memorial Garden, Beach Haven, is at the family's convenience.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road., PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015-0820.

Audrey W. Buonanno
Audrey W. Buonanno, 81, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formerly of Brant Beach and Manahawkin, died March 20 in Naples, Fla..
Born in Trenton, she was the widow of Donald A. Buonanno, who died in 1997.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Robert Luttrell, Lancaster, Pa.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, D. Warren, Lawrenceville, N.J., Gary and Susan of Riverside, Conn. and Raymond and Lidia of New York City. Also surviving are six grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place Saturday at 10:30 p.m. in Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church, Beach Haven.

Jea Malandra
Jea Malandra, 86, Brant Beach, died March 19, at home.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Drexel Hill, Pa., before moving to Brant Beach in 1984.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Brant Beach. She loved bowling. She was the owner of her own beauty salon at the age of 18 called Jea's The Bell Beauty Salon in South Philadelphia. Then she and her husband owned Charles of Germantown Salon, Germantown, Pa. She also owned two salons at Kendall Retirement Home in Kendall, Pa..
She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1984.
She is survived by two sons, Charles of Philadelphia and John of Brant Beach; one daughter, Barbara Malandra of Surf City; three sisters, Elsie Schmidt, Elia Anastasia, and Dina DeMann, all of Philadelphia, Pa. and one grandson, William Chesboro.
Arrangements were under the direction of Maxwell Funeral Home, Manahawkin.

Frances Favata
Frances (Conserva) Favata, 83, North Brunswick, died Friday at Sunrise Assisted Living of East Brunswick.
Mrs. Favata was a long-term resident of Clifton, more recently resided in North Brunswick and Long Beach Island. Mrs. Favata was an owner and the principal hairstylist for 60 years at Conserva Beauty Salon of Clifton, founded by her late father.
She was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Clifton; a member of St. Paul's Leisure Time Club; a representative of the Clifton Election Board, and was a substitute teacher at St. Paul's Roman Catholic School, Clifton.
Survivors include her husband, James, of East Brunswick, formerly of Clifton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Allan Dzwilewski of North Brunswick, Elissa Favata and her husband, Gary Siemons of Moorestown, and Claudia and Janes Den Uyl of Beach Haven; her two brothers, Peter and Martin Conserva and her three sisters, Christine Conserva, Ann Belli and Joan Centinaro; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Housten Ave., Clifton and at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Clifton. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
Memorial contributions made to the Challah Foundation, c/o Dr. Michael Nissenblatt, 205 Easton Ave., New Brunswick, NJ 08901, would be appreciated.

Annabel Marie Bryant
Annable Marie (Reynolds) Bryant, 89, Beach Haven, died March 5, at Southern Ocean Center, Manahawkin.
Born in Lumberton, she lived there before before moving to Beach Haven.
She was employed by the Beach Haven Post Office as a clerk for 28 years, retiring in 1978. She was a graduate of Mt. Holly High School. Annabel was a member of the United Methodist Church of Beach Haven.
Predeceased in 1954 by her husband, Herbert Harry Bryant, she is survived by her son, Bruce Bryant of Ft. Myers, Fla., one sister-in-law, Norma Bryant of Vincentown; one grandson, Bruce Bryant of Ft. Myers, Fla.; one grandchild, two nieces and one nephew.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin.
Contributions may be sent to the United Methodist Church, Centre Street, Beach Haven. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Lumberton.
