WALTER GORBICH, 89, of HOWELL, died Sunday, Dec. 24, at Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Wall. Mr. Gorbich was born in Springfield, Mass., was raised in Freehold Township, settled in Farmingdale in 1943, and moved to Howell in 2000. He was a corporate appliance salesman for Fedders Corp., Edison, retiring in 1985. Prior to that, he was a salesman for the Philco Co. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Farmingdale. Mr. Gorbich was a delegate to the Monmouth County Senior Citizens Council. He was a member of the Howell Senior Citizens.
He was predeceased by his daughter Carolyn Gorbich. Surviving are his wife, Mary Gorbich of Howell; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert Gorbich of Howell, Richard and Connie Gorbich of Quarryville, Pa., Ronnie Gorbich of Howell, and Roger and Cheryl Gorbich of Twin Mountain, N.H.; one brother, John Sperry of Laurelton; two sisters, Olga D'Lia of Spring Lake, and Mary Kasprzak of Pine Brook; and one grandson, Darrell.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, 8 Main St., Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Church Memorial Fund and would be appreciated.

GEORGE GOUSSIS, 86, FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Friday, Jan. 5, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Goussis was born in New York, N.Y., and had lived in Brooklyn until moving to Freehold Township in 1970. He was a mink and sable furrier for the fur manufacturing industry in New York City, retiring in 1975. He was also a part-time realtor in the Monmouth County area. Mr. Goussis was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a former member of the Lafayette Club, Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Goussis was a past president of the Freehold Borough Lions Club and was also a member of the Freehold Township Republican Club and served on the Transportation Board in Freehold Township. Mr. Goussis was a member of the American Legion Post 54, Freehold. He also belonged to the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc.
He was predeceased by his wife, Luba, in 2006; a brother, Gus Goussis; and three sisters, Agnes Ferentinos, Alice Berros, and Fannie Kyprides. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Fred Cutolo Jr. of Freehold Township; two grandchildren, Marina Cutolo of Freehold Township, and Kristin Cutolo of Freehold Township; two nephews, Peter Kyprides and William Goussis; and two nieces, Gloria Ardito and Annie Diamond.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9: 15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by his 10: 30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Anselm Roman Catholic Church, 1028 Wayside Road, Wayside. Entombment will be in Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel. LUBA GOUSSIS, 85, of FREEHOLD, died Saturday, July 15, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Goussis was born in Brooklyn, lived there until moving to Freehold in 1970 and then settled in Monmouth Crossing, Freehold, in 2005. She was an accountant for the Mobil Oil Co., New York City, for 18 years, retiring in 1987. She was the past treasurer for the Molly Pitcher Woman's Club, Freehold, and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 54, Freehold.
She was predeceased by her brother, John Shamka. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, George Goussis; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Fred Cutolo of Freehold; two granddaughters, Marina and Kristin Cutolo of Freehold; a brother, Walter Siderowitz of Staten Island; and a sister, Lydia Tengelsen of Naperville, Ill.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to meet at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Wednesday, followed by her 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church (Located in St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery) Cassville Road, Jackson. GRAF Johanna Hanni Graf Jewelry polisher, 86 Mrs. Johanna Hanni Graf, 86, of Freehold Township died on Thursday, May 17, 2007, in the CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. All arrangements were private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Born in Herborn, Germany, Mrs. Graf lived in Newark, moving to Rahway in 1961, and to Freehold Township in 1979. She was a jewelry polisher at Tessler & Weiss, Union, for 28 years, retiring in 1979. Mrs. Graf was predeceased by her husband, Eugene, in 1989. Surviving are one son, Frank Graf, of Freehold Township; two daughters, Heide Giezey of Tamassee, S.C., and Irene Mecky of Montville, N.J.; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

STEPHEN A. GRAGA, 83, of FARMINGDALE, died Monday, Nov. 13, at home. Mr. Graga was born in Howell and was a lifelong Farmingdale-Howell resident. He attended the West Farms United Methodist Church, Howell. He was a member of the Family Motor Coach Association. Mr. Graga owned and operated the Stephen Graga Construction Co., Farmingdale, from 1953 until his retirement in 1988, a business his family continues.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dora Cook Graga, in 2001. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen J. and Linda Graga of Farmingdale, and Robert A. and Jean Graga of Farmingdale; a daughter, Patricia Graga-Rasch of Farmingdale; two sisters, Anna Marazita of Freehold, and Mary Vasseur of Florence, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. VIOLET ROSE GRANT, 84, of FREEHOLD, died Thursday, July 12, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Mrs. Grant was born and raised in Passaic and had lived in Oak Ridge before settling in Freehold 30 years ago. Mrs. Grant was a homemaker and worked as a home health aide.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 2006. Surviving are two sons, Russell Grant of Castle Rock, Colo., and Glenn Grant of Califon; a daughter, Gale Grant of New York City; two grandchildren, Steven Grant of Jackson and Sara Martin of Aurora, Colo; five great-grandchildren; and a long time companion, Michael Nash of Maitland, Fla.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be private. MARY C. GREINER, 94, of FREEHOLD, died Thursday, Aug. 30, at Bartley Health Care Nursing & Rehab., Jackson. She was a homemaker. She was a former parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Toms River, and she was a member of the Hoboken Chapter of Deborah. Mrs. Greiner was born in Belgium and had lived in Hoboken before moving to Holiday City, Toms River.
She was predeceased by her Husband, John B., in 1996; and a son, John G., in 1995. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Joseph Cocuzza of Freehold; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Rosemarie Greiner of Hoboken; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. ANTHONY "TONY" GROSSO, 85, of HOWELL died Monday June 4 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Tony was born in Paterno, Italy, and lived in Hazelton, Pa., and Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Howell in 1999. He wintered in St. Petersburg, Fla., for the past 28 years. Mr. Grosso worked in the bookkeeping department of Mergenthaler Linotype Co., Brooklyn, for more than 30 years, retiring in 1976. A devout Catholic and beloved husband, he was married to Jennie "Jay Jay" Grosso for 60 years.
A loving father and grandfather, he dedicated his life to his family and friends. Tony and his wife, along with his brother, Carmine, and his sister-in-law, Fanny, were owners of the Winchelsea Hotel in Palenville, N.Y. Tony and Jay also lived at 94 Franklin Ave. in Brooklyn when they started their family. He was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale, and a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a former member of the board of directors at The Villages, Howell, and a member and past president of Harbor Lights Club, St. Petersburg, Fla.
She was predeceased by two brothers; one sister; and one granddaughter, Samantha. He is survived by his wife, Giovannina "Jennie" Grosso of Howell; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Louis and Judy Grosso of Staten Island, N.Y., Joseph and Zulema Grosso of White Stone, Queens, N.Y., and Anthony Grosso of Freehold; one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and George Licitra of Jackson; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold. Family and friends may gather at 8: 30 a.m. Thursday for the Rite of Committal followed by his 9: 30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. THOMAS C. GUINEE, 92, of FARMINGDALE, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 19, at home with his wife, Josephine, by his side. He will be sincerely missed by all who knew his kind heart and generous spirit. Mr. Guinee was born in Elizabeth and had lived there before moving to Farmingdale. Along with his wife, Josephine, he owned and operated Tom's Tavern, Farmingdale, since 1960.
He was predeceased by his father, Edward Guinee; his mother, Margaret Houstin Guinee; and his sister, Mary Guinee. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Mondak Guinee; and several nieces adn nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by the family. Arrangements are by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.

GEORGE E. GORDON JR., 76, of JACKSON, died Monday, March 5, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Gordon was born in Lakewood and was a lifelong resident of Jackson. He was a member of the NRA and the Poppy Deer Hunting Camp. Mr. Gordon was an aircraft mechanic at Lakehurst Naval Air Station for 36 years, retiring in 1988.
He was predeceased by his son, Frank, in 2002. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Gordon; two sons, George Gordon III and Carl James Gordon, both of Jackson; three sisters, Anna Payne of Jackson, Barbara Ventre of Lakehurst, and Ellen Yannerreli of Jackson; and three grandchildren.
Visiting will be from 7 p.m. Friday until his funeral service at 8: 30 p.m. at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.

JOSEPHINE G. GUASTAFERRO, 79, of BRICK, died Sunday, April 29, at home. Mrs. Guastaferro was born in Manhattan and had lived there and Howell before moving to Brick. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U., Local 130, Red Bank. She was a seamstress and had worked for Loyal Cloak and Tops N' Town Tuxedo, both of Howell.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dante "Danny" Guastaferro, in 2000; and a daughter, Linda Morsa, in 2005. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Frank J. and Renee Guastaferro of Howell, Danny A. and Lisa Guastaferro of Brick, and James N. Guastaferro of Jackson; five sisters, Philamenia D'Amore, Anna Padabianco, Angelina Martinson, Frances Seaback, and Amelia Sabatello; three grandchildren, Daniel, Joyce, and Stacey; and a great-grandson, Isaiah.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. ANNE KATHERINE HALICK, 81, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Halick was born in Bayonne and had lived in Roselle before moving to Freehold in 1985. She was an executive assistant for the quality control dept. at Schering-Plough, Kenilworth, for 15 years. Mrs. Halick was a parishioner and eucharistic minister at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Donald Petrow. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Michael Halick Sr. of Freehold Township; a son, Michael Glenn Halick of Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Tirpack of Lanoka Harbor, Lacey; two grandchildren, Erica Bottigliero of Lanoka Harbor, and Kyle Tirpack of Lanoka Harbor; and three great-grandchildren, John, Victoria, and Michael.
