Catherine S. Wojcio
Catherine S. Wojcio, 78, of the Forked River section of Lacey Township, died July 28 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Mrs. Wojcio was a homemaker.
Born in Newark, she resided in Garwood for most of her life before moving to the Forked River section of Lacey Township in 1982.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Frank Wojcio, in 1998 and Peter A. Zimmer, 1945.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Sandra Clark and James and Elizabeth, Fanwood; a sister, Matilda Eckert, Forked River and West Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jonathan, Michael, Scott, and Danielle; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral at 10 a.m. at Layton's Home For Funerals, 971-6800, 250 W. Lacey Road, Forked River. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Wojcio would be appreciated to either the Popcorn Park Zoo, 1 Humane Way, P.O. Box 43, Forked River, N.J. 08731 or St. Jude Childrens Research, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

Rhoda W. Grant
Rhoda W. Grant, nee Warren, 91, of Forked River, died on July 29, at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Born in Waretown she moved to Forked River 1935.
With her husband they owned and operated Grant Boats Works of Forked River for many years until their retirement in 1975. Mrs. Grant was a member of the Forked River Presbyterian Church where she was a ordained elder and very active in church functions, and a past member of the Forked River Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, both of Forked River.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart S. Grant who died in 1982. Surviving are one son, Gregory; one daughter and son-in-law Donna and Joseph Gilmore all of Forked River. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Lisa, Jodi, Wendi, and Gary.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Route 9, Forked River. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Good Luck Cemetery, Lanoka Harbor.

Charles J. Currey
Charles J. Currey, 91, of Lanoka Harbor, died July 26, at Seacrest Village Nursing Center.
He was a security guard for Exide Corporation, Philadelphia. He was also a member of St. Theresa's Church, Tuckerton; VFW Mystic Island, and the DAV.
Mr. Currey was a World War II Army veteran serving in the ETO
He is survived by nephews, Charles Currey, Portland, Oregon and William J. Currey, Boulder Creek, Calif. and one niece, Margaret Currey, Kenner, La.
Arrangements were by Wood Funeral Home, Tuckerton.

Ferdinand John Sikosek
Ferdinand John Sikosek, 90, of Palm Harbor, Fla., died at home Sept. 15.
He was born in New York, N.Y., and lived in Fort Lee and on Long Beach Island before moving to Florida in December 2001.
He was a retired lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Army and was an aerospace engineer on the Apollo 11 program.
Mr. Sikosek was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1934 to 1972. He worked for Allied Signal Aerospace for 40 years. He was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers and The Retired Officers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Gregory John Sikosek, Mont Claire, Va.; daughter, EllaMay Bogdan, Palm Harbor, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Sara and Andrew.
Visitation was Sept. 18 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Palm Harbor Chapel. A funeral Mass took place Sept. 19 at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, Fla. Interment was in Arlington National Cemetery.

Mildred L. "Honey" Christ
Mildred L. "Honey" Pfeifer Christ, 88, of Beach Haven Park, formerly of Philadelphia, died Sept. 12.
She was the beloved wife of the late Garrett Sr.; the devoted mother of two sons, Garrett Jr. and John, and one daughter, Elyse Heubach. She was the dear sister of Robert Pfeifer. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Christ was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Brant Beach. She was a member of Eastern Star Signet Chapter, AARP 129, the Island Womens Organization and WELCO.
Services were private at the request of the family. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Oct. 5 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Brant Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Christ's memory to the American Heart Association, 600 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106, or to Deborah Hospital Foundation's LBI Chapter, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
Arrangements were under the direction of Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede and Bellmawr.

William E. "Bud" Branscomb
William E. "Bud" Branscomb, 72, of Manahawkin passed away Sept. 20 at his home.
Born in Granite City, Ill., he resided in Bloomfield prior to moving to Manahawkin 39 years ago.
Mr. Branscomb was a retired union ironworker in New Jersey, a member of the Beach Haven Moose Lodge, Manahawkin, and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Hull. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Diane (Doetterl); two sons and their wives, Buddy and Dottie and John and Kelly; his half brother, Archie Morse; four grandchildren, Buddy, Jennifer, Melissa and Lauren, and two great-grandchildren, Colin and Matthew.
A memorial gathering and time of remembrance was held at Maxwell Funeral Home, Manahawkin. Memorial donations are requested to be sent to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills.

Dorothy Hanna Thomas
Dorothy Hanna Thomas, 71, of Tuckerton, died at home Sunday, after a battle with cancer.
Born in Salem, Mrs. Thomas resided in Willingboro, moving to Tuckerton in 1974.
She co-owned and operated Tuckerton Aluminum in Mystic Island from 1979-1985. She then worked for the city of Salem at the Community Development and Environmental office as program coordinator. After leaving that position, Mrs. Thomas worked at the Mystic Island Laundromat until her illness caused her to retire.
She was a member of the International Revival Tabernacle Church in Browns Mills.
Mrs. Thomas was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 1989.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur of Little Egg Harbor and James of Manahawkin; five daughters, Beverly Coulson of Elmer, Linda Wasylkowski of Little Egg Harbor, Patricia Berguson of Mebane, N.C., Hanna Diana of Tuckerton, Barbara Jo Kessleski of Little Egg Harbor; and a half-sister, Vivian Royal of Pasedena, Texas. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Wood Funeral Home, 134 East Main St., Tuckerton. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton.
Donations in Mrs. Thomas' memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Ocean County Unit, 1035 Hooper Ave, Suite 2, Toms River, NJ 08753-8322.

Anthony J. Cifrodella
Anthony J. Cifrodella, 83, died Aug. 18, at Seacrest Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Little Egg Harbor.
He was born in Newark and resided there until moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1996.
He was a health inspector for the city of Newark.
Mr. Cifrodella served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Newark, and a member of St. Theresa's Church, Tuckerton.
He is survived by his daughters, Marie C. Kozlowski, Little Egg Harbor, and Ann L. Valerius; three sisters, Eleanor Cerrato, Verona, Evelyn Johnson, Easton, Pa., and Dolores Vouthouris, Melbourne, Fla., and three grandchildren, Jennifer, Bobby and Holly.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Sept. 20 at St. Theresa's Church, Tuckerton. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange. Wood Funeral Home, Tuckerton, was in charge of arrangements.

Theodore W. Blankenburg
Theodore W. Blankenburg, 84, Little Egg Harbor, died Sept. 22 at Seacrest Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Little Egg Harbor.
Mr. Blankenburg was born in Walker, Iowa, and lived there until moving to Randolph Township in 1956. He retired in 1984 and moved to Florida until 2000, when he relocated to Little Egg Harbor.
He was a foreman for Techiart Plastics, Morristown.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, a former session member of the Ironia Presbyterian Church, Ironia, and the First Presbyterian Church, Tuckerton.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine; two daughters, Andrea A. MacDonald, Little Egg Harbor, and Beatrice B. Lake, Long Valley; three sisters, Mardella Brock, Clearwater, Fla., Bonnie Cook, Winthrop, Iowa, and Betty Lou Topp, California, and five grandchildren, Jessica Butler, Ft. Hood, Texas, Ross MacDonald and Jackie Thorton, both of Little Egg Harbor, Courtney Lake and Russell Lake, both of Long Valley.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at Wood Funeral, Tuckerton, and after 10 a.m. tomorrow. Services will take place at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton.

Mary Jane W. Gallagher
Mary Jane W. Gallagher, 69, died Sept. 16 at the home of her daughter in Broomall, Pa.
Born in Gladwyn, Pa., she resided in Barnegat Light.
A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Pfizenmayer and the late Henrietta M. (Kerrigan) Pfizenmayer.
She is survived by her husband, John F. Gallagher; three sons, Joseph J. Gallagher of Barnegat Light, John F. Gallagher of Stewartsville, and James A. Gallagher of Havertown, Pa.; two daughters, Henrietta M. Gallagher of Broomall, Pa. and Mary Jane Gallagher of Woodlyn, Pa., and seven grandchildren.
Her viewing and funeral Mass took place Sept. 20 at the St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Broomall, Pa. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, Pa. Contributions in her memory to the Long Beach Island Library, 217 S. Central Ave., Surf City, NJ 08008, would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements were by the Robert L. D'Anjolell Memorial Home, Broomall, Pa.
