Ines Morales, 69, of the Avenel section of Woodbridge died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at The Mary Anne Hale Pavilion of Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Chaparral, Colombia, South America, she resided in Avenel for the past 33 years. Mrs. Morales was employed as an inspector for Revlon in Edison for 22 years before retiring in 1993. She was a communicant of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel.
She was predeceased by a brother, Jesus Rojas, who died in 1997. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Alvaro Morales; two daughters, Sandra DePinho and her husband, David, of Morganville and Vicky Garrido and her husband, Manny, of Saylorsburg, Pa.; two sons, Ed Morales and his wife, Maureen, of Rome, Pa., and Henry Morales and his wife, Jody A. Cummings, of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Lilia Lozano, Ofelia Morales and Elisa Gomez, all of Colombia, South America; 10 grandchildren, E.J. Morales and his wife, Julie, Ryan Morales, Nicole Morales, Christopher Morales, Elizabeth Morales, Michael DePinho, Kelly DePinho, Jessica DePinho, Ashley Garrido and Brandon Garrido, and two great-grandchildren, Erika Morales and Jason Morales.
The funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel St., Avenel, followed by a 9:45 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel. Burial will be at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

JOAN McGUINN, AGE 66, WOODBRIDGE
Joan C. McGuinn, 66, of Woodbridge died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at home.
Born in Jersey City, she resided in Woodbridge for the past 35 years. Mrs. McGuinn was employed as an office worker with Supermarkets General in Avenel for 19 years until 1991. She was a communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
She was predeceased by her son, John J. McGuinn, who died in 1968, and her parents, William and Catherine Engels O'Connor. She is survived by her husband of 461/2 years, John J. McGuinn; two daughters, Kathleen Grigas of Woodbridge and Karen McGuinn of Pennsylvania, and three grandchildren, Katie Finn, Samantha Penna and Matthew Grigas.
The funeral will take place at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Green Street and Barron Avenue, Woodbridge, followed by a 9 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

ALFRED F. GIANETTA, 79, of Port Monmouth, MIDDLETOWN
ALFRED F. GIANETTA, 79, of Port Monmouth, MIDDLETOWN, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at home. He was a retired cameraman for ABC Television and WPIX Channel 11, New York City, for 30 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Veterans Foreign Wars Post 2179 in Port Monmouth, the Middletown Elks 2179, a member of the 57th Bomb Wing and past president of Russ Columbo Arcade. He first joined the Air Force in 1943. He flew as B-25 gunner during World War II, racking up 31 missions in the European Theater of Operations and received air medal with three oak leaf clusters for this service. He also served in the Korean War, attaining a rank of staff sergeant. He was a photographer with the 5th Air Force's 51st Fighter Interceptor Wing in Japan and a processor of combat photos in the wing's photographic laboratory. He re-enlisted in the Air Force in 1949 and was assigned to the 51st in Okinawa in August 1950. He subsequently accompanied the wing to Korea and Japan. Born in Newark, he lived in Belford, Middletown, before moving to Port Monmouth for 30 years ago.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Gianetta; his mother, Raffaela Pagano; and a sister, Rose Malara, in 1978. Surviving are a brother, Amedio Gianetta of Port Monmouth; two sisters, Henrietta Grenci of Port Monmouth, and Helen La Vista of Port Monmouth; his companion, Claire Fairchild of Port Monmouth; and John Sima, his live-in caregiver.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. A funeral gathering will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:15 a.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg. CHESTER ROBERT BASS SR., 71, of NEPTUNE
CHESTER ROBERT BASS SR., 71, of NEPTUNE, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was a cook for the state of New Jersey for 25 years, working at Marlboro State Hospital, and Rahway and Trenton state prisons. He finished his career at Rahway State Prison, retiring in 1983. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1957 to 1960. Born in Long Branch, he lived in Neptune for the obitpix past 30 years.
Surviving are his wife, Rosetta Bowles-Bass; a son, Chester R. Jr.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Mary Bass and Steve Robertson, Donna and Lazaro Alvarez, Linda and Reginald Fenter, and Rosetta "Robin" Bass, all of Neptune; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Vivian Bass, and Ellen Bass and husband, David Brown, all of Long Branch; a brother and his companion, Elmus Bass and Cynthia Johnson of Long Branch; and brother-in-law, Robert Sublett of Long Island, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren, Rosetta-Lynn Duck, Ebony and Terrell Fenter, Donita, Marta and Lazaro "LJ" Alvarez, and Chester R. Bass III; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Ely Funeral Home, 3316 Route 33, Neptune. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery, Tinton Falls.

DORIS ELIZABETH SCHENCK, 79, of EATONTOWN, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She attended the Asbury Park and Neptune school systems. She retired from Crystal Motor Lodge in 1981. obitpix She was a faithful member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Temple, Asbury Park, and affiliated with the Elks, Pride of Asbury 64 and Mary Hightower Council. Born in Neptune, she was a lifelong resident.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Schenck Sr., in 1981. Surviving are a son, Robert C. Schenck Jr. of Eatontown; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Ernest I. Bennett of Neptune; four grandchildren, Dana Hodges, James Timothy Jones, Stacie Juby and Tameka Schenck; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Tuesday until a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Mount Pisgah Baptist Temple, 1301 Springwood at Borden Avenue, Asbury Park, with the Rev. Gary L. Brandon, pastor. Entombment will be held at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. Fraternal services will be at 10:30 a.m. James H. Hunt Funeral Home, Asbury Park, is in charge of arrangements.

ELEANOR WICKES, 60, of LONG BRANCH
ELEANOR WICKES, 60, of LONG BRANCH, died Friday, Feb. 13, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was self-employed as the co-owner of Emerald Cleaning Service, Long Branch, for 12 years. She was a former member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Red Bank. Born in Red Bank, she was a lifelong Shore area resident.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Colleen Wickes; her parents, Eleanor Deans and George Holmes Sr.; and two brothers, George Holmes Jr. and Lindsay Dean. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Robert Wickes; a daughter, Aisha Wickes of Long Branch; a sister, Gertrude Dean of Asbury Park; a grandson, Jamil Wickes; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at noon Wednesday at Jackson Funeral Home, 242 Neptune Blvd., Neptune. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in White Ridge Cemetery, Eatontown.

FRANCES E. WINQUIST, 92, of HOWELL
FRANCES E. WINQUIST, 92, of HOWELL, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at home. Born in Perth Amboy, she lived in Avenel and then in Colts Neck for 38 years before moving to Howell six years ago. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Notre Dame of Maryland Preparatory College in Baltimore, and attended Drexel College in Philadelphia. She married in 1933, and the couple lived in Avenel section of Woodbridge, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel and the Women's Club of Avenel. In 1960, the family moved to Colts Neck and she became a member of the Colts Neck Reformed Church and its Ladies Circle group. She was a substitute teacher for both the Woodbridge and Colts Neck school systems. In later years, she and her husband traveled extensively in North and South America, as well as Europe and Asia.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob, in 1996; a brother, Joseph Seaman; and a sister, Catherine Freeman; Surviving are five daughters and four sons-in-law, Karen and Samuel McClellan of Tinton Falls, Jane Price of Freehold Township, Laurie and Marvin Harris of Freehold, Wendy and Tom London of Sebeka, Minn., and Nancy and Christopher Faustmann of Wanamassa; a sister, Bernice Frommater of Southport, N.C.; 14 grandchildren, Peter, Jon and David Cole, Christine Yaccarino, Lorilei Price, Jennifer Nevulis, Brian Harris, Joel, Joshua, Elizabeth and Margaret London, and Thomas, Christopher, Matthew and Kerri Goetke; nine great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Leola Nanton.
Family and friends may visit between 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St., Freehold. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Colts Neck Reformed Church, Colts Neck. Interment will follow at Atlantic Cemetery, Colts Neck. GEORGE A. ROWLES, 74, of MATAWAN
GEORGE A. ROWLES, 74, of MATAWAN, died Sunday, Feb. 15, in Matawan. He was employed as a boiler engineer for Reicht Col Corp., Newark, retiring in 1994 after more than 20 years with the company. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan. He lived in Matawan for the past 36 years and was formerly of South Plainfield.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy L. Scanlon Rowles; two sons, George Rowles of Pennsylvania, and Thomas Rowles of Aberdeen; several brothers and sisters, all living in Wilkes Barre, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bedle Funeral Home, 212 Main St., Matawan. Services will be announced; call the funeral home for service time. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

RUTH GRACE REID, 85, of ALLENWOOD, died Sunday, Feb. 15, at Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Allenwood. She was a member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, Avon. Born in Huntington, N.Y., she lived in Avon for most of her life.
She was predeceased by her husband, Curtis P. Reid, in 1989; and a sister, Dorothy Reiss. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Reid of Florida, and Paul and Seton Reid of Virginia; a daughter, Susan Reid of Neptune; a sister, Rita Bennett of Florida; six grandchildren, Piper Bruther, Frank and Adam Mish, and Heather, Thomas and Christopher Reid; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reilly Funeral Home, Eighth Avenue and D Street, Belmar. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. SUSAN M. HOPKINS-DI MEO, 54, of COLTS NECK, Sunday, Feb. 15, at home. She was the owner of the Second Turn Around, a women's clothing consignment shop on West Main Street in Freehold for the last 18 years. She was a loving wife and mother. Born in Aberdeen, Wash., she lived in New York City and Freehold Township before moving to Colts Neck 19 years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Bix L. DiMeo; two sons, Jake and Colin DeMeo, both at home; a brother, Richard Hopkins, Freehold; and three sisters, Diana Theiss of Freehold, Linette Carroll of Wilmington, Del., and Lisa Vanni of Philadelphia.
Calling hours will be held at from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center St., Freehold. WILLIAM J. HANCOCK, 79, of ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at home. He was a delivery salesman for Gulf Oil Co., Linden, for 37 years, retiring in 1983. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Born in Bayonne, he lived in Highlands before moving to Atlantic Highlands in 1951.
He was predeceased by his parents, Franklin and Edna Dunn Hancock; and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hancock. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Bravand Hancock; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randolph Hancock of Livermore, Calif., Wayne and Mary Lou Hancock of Oceanport, and Christopher and Lynn of Atlantic Highlands; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and David Kent of Fair Haven; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

CATHERINE L. "NANA" MULLEN, 90, TOMS RIVER, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was employed as a cookie inspector at Burry Biscuit in Elizabeth for 30 years until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of the Union County Democratic Club. Born in Elizabeth, she lived there before moving to Toms River in 2003.
She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Mullen, in 1977. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Pat Mullen of Toms River; two sisters and three-brothers-in-law, Isabelle and John Zeock of Largo, Fla., Patricia and Bob Leibrock of Wanamassa, Ocean Township, and Steve Mason of Monmouth Beach; three grandchildren, Michael Willam Mullen, Joanne Fox and Timothy Paul Mullen.; six great-grandchildren, Ashley, Mikey, Tyler, Jordin, Leah and Hayley Rose; and several nieces and nephews.

GEORGE MICHAEL BEIDEMAN, 55, of BRICK, died Feb. 13, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He was an assembler with ARC-Easter Seals, Lakewood, for several years. Born in Jersey City, he resided most of his life in Brick.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Lorraine Kanetzsky and Karne Balinski. Surviving are his mother, Mildred Beideman of Brick; two brothers, William Beideman of Las Vegas, and Robert Beideman of Brick; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. Religious services will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
