Lynne Carol Kiseli, 54
Lynne Carol Burdick Kiseli, 54, of Greensboro, N. C. died on Saturday, January 15, 2000 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point, N.C.
Born in Southampton, N.Y., the daughter of John F. and Mary M., she grew up in Upper Montclair.
She had lived in Westfield in Warren Township before retiring to Greensboro in August of 1999.
Mrs. Kiseli, who was primarily a homemaker, was honored as Employee of the Year in 1989 while serving as manager of Scarborough Video in Warren.
Surviving are two sons, John Matthew Kiseli of Warren and Jeffrey Bryan Kiseli of Greensboro; a sister, Loren B. Postel, and a brother, Bruce H. Burdick.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, at Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church on Mount Bethel Road in Warren Township.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Harold C. Davis Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Anna R. Lombardo, 73
Anna Rose Romandetta Lombardo, 73, of Westfield died on Thursday, January 13, 2000 at home.
Born in New York City, she moved to Westfield in 1955.
She was a member of the Union County Association of Retarded Citizens.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Vincent Lombardo, and a son, Joseph Lombardo of South Plainfield.
Memorial donations may be made to the Charity Fund of Atlas Burdick, great Pythagoras Lodge, 1011 Central Avenue, Westfield, 07090.
A memorial service will be arranged for a future date.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Dooley Colonial Home 556 Westfield Avenue in Westfield.
Phoebe Allison Arundale, 80
Vocalist; Studied and Performed in New York
Phoebe Allison Kooker Arundale, 80, of Yarmouthport, Mass., a former Westfield resident, died on Friday, January 14, 2000 at Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brewster, Mass.
Born in Hatboro, Pa., she moved to Elizabeth as a child and graduated from high school there.
She had lived in Westfield for 30 years before relocating to Cape Cod, Mass. in 1972.
Mrs. Arundale studied voice with Madeline King Bartell in Westfield and with Evan Evans of New York City, a metropolitan opera star and instructor at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City.
She made her vocal debut with a concert in New York City’s Times Hall.
She was a soprano for 12 years at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Elizabeth and later at the Dutch Reformed Church in Newark.
In Cape Cod, she became a soloist at the First Congregational Church of Yarmouth, where she was also Chairwoman of its Music Committee, taught Sunday School, was a member of the Diaconate and the Meetenetts Women’s Fellowship and volunteered at The Ditty Box.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Erving Arundale; two daughters, Joanne Arundale Patterson of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Susan Arundale Zolli of Providence, R. I.; a son, Charles E. Arundale of West Yarmouth; a brother, Malcolm Allison of Beaufort, S.C. and North Dartmouth, Mass.; two sisters, Amy Brewster of Long Beach, Calif. and Susan Bronson of Hilton Head, S. C.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church at a later date. Burial will be private.

Ethel Carey, 87
Ethel Carey, 87, of Somerset died on Monday, January 17, 2000 at the McCarrick Care Center in Somerset.
Born in Greenwich Village, N.Y., she had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Somerset.
Mrs. Carey was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mark Carey, in 1990; a son, Kenneth Carey, in 1992, and a sister, Edna McElroy.
Surviving are a son, Mark Carey of Somerset; a daughter, Valerie McClure of Whitehouse, Tex.; two sisters, Ann McElroy of Westfield and Rose Kane of Port Richey, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today, Thursday, January 20, at 10: 30 a.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home in Somerset.
Cremation will follow.
Ruth Stark, 83
Former President Of Woman’s Club and Garden Club
Ruth Cadwallader Stark, 83, of Sun City Center, Fla., died on Thursday, January 6, 2000 at South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center.
Born on July 22, 1916 in Atlantic City, she had lived in Westfield for 30 years before retiring to Sun City Center in 1987.
She and her family also maintained a beach home in Beach Haven for 53 years.
Mrs. Stark was a former President of the Woman’s Club of Westfield and was named President Emeritus in honor of her contributions.
She was also President of the Garden Club of Westfield and served as World Mission Chairwoman of the Presbyterian Women of New Jersey.
She was predeceased by a son, Anthony Stark, 3rd.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Anthony J. Stark, Jr.; a son, Charles D. Stark of Santa Rosa, Calif.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were celebrated on Monday, January 10, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Sun City Center.
Interment took place at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton, Fla.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lewers Funeral Home in Ruskin, Fla.

Giuseppe DiMartino
Giuseppe Antonio “Tony” DiMartino, 69, of Carteret died on Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Abruzzi, Italy, he lived in Carteret for the past 29 years.
Mr. DiMartino had been employed as an assembly worker at General Motors in Linden for 27 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Carteret and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Andrew’s Council in Avenel.
Mr. DiMartino was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Reverend John J. Griffin General Assembly in Woodbridge.
He was a member of the Carteret Senior Citizens Afternoon Group.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Cardillo DiMartino; two sons, John DiMartino of Howell and Michael DiMartino of Carteret; a daughter, Nancy Barnes of Fanwood; three sisters, Diodata Bevacqua of Ocala, Fla., Lola Cappuccia of Middlesex and Eleanor DiMartino of Springfield, and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, January 21, at the Synowiecki Funeral Home in Carteret, followed by a 10: 30 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph Church.
Entombment will take place at the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Church.
Helen E. Minard, 92
Helen E. Minard, 92, of Bedminster died on Monday, January 17, 2000 at home.
Born in Westfield, she had lived in South Amboy before moving to Bedminster nine years ago.
Mrs. Minard was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church in Peapack and a member of the Bedminster Far Hills Senior Citizens and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Minard, in 1976. Surviving are two sons, John C. Minard of Brick and Roland J. Minard of Bedminster; a daughter, Roberta T. Minard of Red Bank; a sister, Peggy Atamantyk of Portland, Tex.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will take place at 9: 15 a.m. today Thursday, January 20, from the Layton Funeral Home in Bedminster, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Brigid Church. Entombment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
