William S. Jensen
Services were held Dec. 23, 1989 at Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals, Keansburg, for William S. Jensen, 66, of Hazlet, who died Dec. 20, 1989 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
He worked for Ford Motor Co., Metuchen, for 30 years befor retiring in 1983.
He was a Coast Guard veteran.
Jensen was born in Belford, Middletown Township, and lived in North Middletown, Middletown Township, before moving to Hazlet 24 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ann Williamson; a son, Martin, Toms River; a daughter, Janice Blessing, Florida: three stepsons, Theodore Grubowski, Jersey City; Joseph Grubowski, Hackensack, and Michael Miller. Secaucus; a brother, Arthur, Atlantic Highlands: eight grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hazlet.

Mary Ann Martin
Services were held Dec. 30, 1989 at Posten's Funeral Home. Atlantic Highlands, for Mary Ann Martin. 55, of Leonardo, Middletown Township, who died Dec. 26, 1989 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
She was a school crossing guard for the Middletown Township Board of Education for the past four years.
Martin was born in Jersey City and lived in the Navesink section here, before moving to Leonardo 10 years ago.
She was predeceased by a daughter. Margaret.
Surviving are her husband. William: six sons. William Jr., Michael and Daniel, all Leonardo: James and Edward, both Highlands, and Mark, Rumson; a daughter, Judy Keppel, Navesink: her mother, Man' Barcalow, Middletown; two brothers. Frank Barcalow, Virginia, and Melvin Barcalow. Middlelown; three sisters. Helen Tripto, Hackensack; Margaret Finn, Staten Island, and Barbara Neilsen. Atlantic Highlands, and six grandchildren.
Posten's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Arthur French
Arthur French, 87, of Cliffwood Beach, Aberdeen Township, died Dec. 18, 1989 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
He was a former construction worker.
French was born in Jersey City and lived in Monmouth County for the past 10 years.
There are no known survivors.

Elizabeth Ratajczak
Elizabeth Ratajczak. 66. of Middletown, died Nov. 26, 1989 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
Born in Kearny. she lived in West Orange before moving here six years ago.
Surviving are her husband. Norbert; two sons. Thomas. Belford. Middletown, and Samuel. Lakewood: a brother. Robert Summers, Union Township, and two grandchildren.

Stephen Slovenz
Services were held Dec. 30, 1989 at John E. Day-Bedle Funeral Home. Keyport. for Stephen Slovenz. 76. of Keyport. who died Dec. 27, 1989 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
He was the co-owner of Dixie Lee Bakery, Keansburg. a family business since the 1930s, before retiring 10 years ago.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Slovenz was born in Staten Island and lived here for the past 70 years.
A daughter, Sandra Crook, died in 1968.
Surviving are his wife, the former Anita C. VanRixoort; a son. Stephen J.. Locust, Middletown Township: a daughter. Madeline Low, Flushing, N.Y.; two brothers, Frank, Fort Lauderdale. Fla.. and Joseph, Woodland. Ga.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Helen Hampton
Services were held Dec. 30, 1989 at Second Baptist Church. Keyport, for Helen Hampton, 72, of Matawan. who died Dec. 24, 1989 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
She was an inspector for Midland Glass, Aberdeen, before retiring 12 years ago.
Hampton was a member of the Second Baptis Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, member of the Senior Choir, Morning Choir, and one of the founders of the Women's Progressive Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara J. Fisher, Matawan; a sister, Elvira Craft, Red Bank, and two granddaughters.
Interment was at Union Prospect Cemetery, Aberdeen.

Theresa Noe Hansen
Services were held Dec. 30, 1989 at First Congregational Church, Woodbridge. for Theresa Noe Hansen, 90, of Matawan. who died Dec. 20, 1989 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
Hansen was the longest standing member of the First Congregational Church and a member of the Naomi Circle of the church.
Born in Woodbridge Township, she moved to Matawan three years ago.
Her husband. Louis A., died in 1985.
Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Borthwick. Matawan: a son. Roger, Waretown, and three grandchildren.

Adelaide B. Harris
Services were held Dec. 28, 1989 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Red Bank, for Adelaide B. Harris, 97, of Middletown, who died Dec. 25, 1989 at home.
She was a concert pianist since she was 14 years old. She also worked as a soloist and piano teacher from 1934 to 1960.
Harris was born in Haledon and lived in Paterson most of her life before moving here in 1973.
Her husband, Arthur J., died in 1934.
Surviving are a son, Arthur. Norwalk, Conn.: a daughter. Lucille F., with whom she lived; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Paterson.

Alfred T. Poling Sr.
Services were held Jan. 10, 1990 for Alfred T. Poling Sr., 93, of Keyport, a former borough councilman who died Jan. 6, 1990 at Bayshore Community Hospital. Holmdel.
Poling owned and operated A. Poling & Sons Auto Body & Welding Shop, Keyport, for many years, retiring in 1979.
He served on the Keyport Council in the late 1940s and early 1950s and on the Keyport Board of Health in the 1960s.
Poling made news in the 1970s during his long dispute with the borough about the assessment of a house he owned on Fulton Street.
Born in Keyport, he lived in the borough all his life.His wife, the former Ethel Truex, died in 1971.
Surviving are a son, Alfred T. Jr., Keyport; two daughters, Florence Eleanor Keller, Keyport, and Ethel Moreno, with whom he lived; 20 grandchildren and 33 greatgrandchildren.
Interment was at Green Grove Cemetery.

Frederick A. Schaller
Services were held Jan. 5, 1990 at Day Funeral Home, Keyport, for Frederick A. Schaler, 69, of Union Beach, who died Jan. 1, 1990 at Freehold Area Hospital. Freehold.
He was an engineer for the Port Authority Trans Hudson, Newark, for 30 years before retiring in 1988, and was also a projectionist at the Strathmore Twin Cinema, Aberdeen Township, for many years.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.Schaller was born in Brooklyn and lived in the Matawan area before moving to Union Beach in 1988.
His daughter, Mybrit, died in 1988.
Surviving are his wife, the former Gladys Leach; six sons, Geoffrey V. and Blair R., both Union Beach; Lance M., Fair Haven; Wade E., West Keansburg, Hazlet Township; Kurt J. and Dorian K, both Manalapan Township; a daughter, Andrea Zarzicky, Keansburg; 22 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
Interment was at Forest Green Memorial Park, Marlboro. Day Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
