DOROTHY E. GRILLO (Nee ZINKE) of Shamong, NJ, passed on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ.

She was 77 yrs. of age.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she has resided in Shamong for the past 18 yrs.

A loving homemaker and former waitress and short order cook, Dorothy enjoyed family & social gatherings especially around the holidays.

She is the Beloved wife of Robert S. Grillo of Shamong, NJ and the Loving Mother of Robert J. Grillo and his wife Karen of Delran, NJ, Carl J. Grillo and his wife Renee of Milmay, NJ, Diane H. Sears and her husband Gary of Westampton, NJ and Patricia M. Ciemancky and her husband Dale of Estell Manor, NJ.

She is also survived by her brothers Edward Zinke of Richmond, VA, Robert Zinke of Bolivia, NC, Matthew Zinke of Howell, NJ, Jack Zinke of Cape Coral, FL, and also her Grandchildren Jennifer Winser, Krystal Sears, Megan Kramer, and Ashly, Jacqueline, Matthew and Nicholas Grillo.

She is the sister of the late Joseph Zinke Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, NJ.

Interment will follow in the BG Wm. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cem, in Arneytown, NJ.

The family requests memorial donations to the American Kidney Foundation, C/O P.O. Box 1542, Medford, NJ 08055.

Manning Jr., Joseph F.

Navy

JOSEPH F. MANNING JR., of Medford, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27th, 2008.

He was 79 yrs. of age.

Born in Newark, NJ, he is the son of the late Joseph & Mary Manning.

A retired Avionics Mechanic & Tester he worked for Curtis-Wright Aeronautics in Woodbridge, NJ.

He is an honorary member of the English Setter Club of America in Medford and was involved with many Vizsla dog clubs in N.J.

He is a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII.

Beloved Brother of John E. Manning of Toms River, NJ, he is also survived by his adopted niece Elizabeth Frayne Titus and her family.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a future date at the Setter Club.

Funeral services are under the director of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600).

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests memorial donations to the Setter Club of Medford, 295 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. Medford, NJ 08055.

Peng, Uan F.

UAN F. PENG, of Medford, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Medford Care Center in Medford, NJ.

He was 79 yrs. of age.

Born and raised in Tiawan he is the son of the late Shen-Ho and Mei Lo Peng.

He will be deeply missed by his two daughters Sue Peng of Marlton, NJ and Su-Hwa Fong of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and their families.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, April 26th, 2008 at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600).

Entombment will follow in the Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Engle, Ruth A.

RUTH A. ENGLE (Nee Gauntt) of Medford, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, Apr. 30th, 2008 at the Medford Leas.

She was 83 yrs. of age.

Born in Cherry Hill, NJ, she has resided in Medford for the past 8 yrs. moving there from Marlton & Southampton, NJ.

A former Real Estate Agent she worked with Briarwood Realty in Medford, NJ for 10 yrs.

Prior to this she worked for Hoopes & Alloway in Southampton and also as a Sales Person for Robinson Oldsmobile in Mt. Holly, NJ.

She is the wife of the late Clarence J. Engle Jr. "Jack" and the Loving Mother of Maj. John J. Engle, and his wife Nancy of Shiloh, NC, Mary Alice Worrell and her husband George of Tabernacle, NJ, Virginia E. Engle of Lumberton, NJ and Jane E. Rickard and her husband John of Southampton, NJ and former mother-in-law of Sue D. Engle.

She is also survived by her sisters Virginia Jones-Darlington and Vivian Hart both of Medford, NJ, her Grandchildren John A. Engle & Gail, Annie McPherson & Gary, Jehu Worrell, Wendy Devine & Jim, Lyn Farrell & Jim, and also Mary Beth, Sarah and Katie Rickard, and her Great Grandchildren Jack and Adam Farrell, Emma and Owen McPherson and Jack Engle.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600), where a Quaker Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow in the Upper Springfield Cem. in Springfield, NJ.

The family requests memorial donations to Medford Leas, C/O P.O. Box 1542, Medford, NJ 08055.

Gordon, Verdell

Verdell Gordon, 59, of Whitesboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Cape Regional Medical Center.

Born in Estill, SC to the late Southwood and Cora L. (Mikell) Gordon, he moved to Whitesboro when he was two years old and was a lifetime resident here except for spending seven years in New York and Springfield, MA.

He worked as a cook at the Wildwood Convention Center and enjoyed cooking.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro.

Mr. Gordon is survived by his children, Verdell Edward Gordon of Whitesboro, Maurice Richardson of Springfield, MA, Tamiko Gordon of Bronx, NY, and Lena Green Gordon of Manhattan, NY; his sister, Evelyn Holden and her husband, Charles of Whitesboro; his brother, Southwood Gordon, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; his five grandchildren; his niece, Mellissa Bullocks of Glenarden, MD; his nephew, Anthony Gordon of Atlanta, GA; and Howard Matthews, who was like a son to him.

He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Edrika "Edda" Young on June 12, 2003.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Route 9 and Main Street, Whitesboro, where viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be in Household of Ruth Cemetery, Whitesboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

Butler, Frieda A.

FRIEDA A. BUTLER (Nee Sharp), of Burlington, NJ, formerly of Lumberton, NJ and Tolchester, MD passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009.

She was 86 years old.

Born in England, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Sharp and was a Secretary for RCA in Cherry Hill, NJ.

She is the wife of the late Kenneth Butler.

Frieda is survived by her two sons Michael Banks and John Banks both of England, her stepson Ian Butler of England, her stepdaughters Patricia Schleusener of PA and Linda Gresty of England, a brother Peter Sharp of England, her daughters-in-law Valerie and Gayle and also 9 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

She is the stepmother of the late Maxwell Butler.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600), where a Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Medford, NJ.
