Petosa, C.L. "Buck"
C.L. "Buck" Petosa, 85, a longtime resident of Stone Harbor, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born to the late Carolino and Mary (Fuschino) Petosa and raised in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia, PA. In 1952 he married Dolores E. Zarli. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Steven and Benard; who in turn with their respective wives Cynthia and Lori, blessed them with four beautiful grandchildren, LeAnne Petosa and Steven Petosa, and Ben (Stephanie) Petosa, Jr. and Jessica (Dustin) Miller, and four great grandchildren, Adam Petosa, Brooke Miller, Luca Petosa, and Molly Miller. He was preceded in death by his five brothers, Benard, Michael, Elmer, Cornelius, and Edward; and one sister, Concetta Sereni.
A retired Teamster, he was a former member of Calvary Church of Germantown in Philadelphia, which supported the Calvary Seaside House on 83rd Street in Stone Harbor. He was active as a counselor there for many years and developed a strong love for Stone Harbor and moved there permanently in 1975. He owned and operated Hahn's Restaurant in Stone Harbor for ten years.
Mr. Petosa was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine and was a member of the Stephen C. Ludlam American Legion Post 331 in Stone Harbor. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of the following Masonic bodies: Past Master of Mitchell Lodge # 296 in Abington, PA in 1966 and again in 1972, Abington Royal Arch Chapter #245, Philadelphia St. John's Commandery Number 4, Knights Templar, Philadelphia Council #11 of Royal and Select Master Masons, and New Jersey Crescent Shrine Temple AAONMS. He was also a 35 year member of the Wildwood Golf and Country Club.
Viewing will be on Monday, August 2, 2010 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 95th Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Masonic Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Services immediately following. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Stone Harbor Rescue Squad, 9508 Second Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247.
Schwartz, John "Bud"
Schwartz, John F. "Bud" - born on July 29, 1921 passed away July 28, 2010 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Formally of South Philadelphia, John resided in North Wildwood, NJ with his loving wife of 68 years, Frances (Moore). John was the amazing father of Eileen Simone (John) of Absecon, the late John Schwartz (Norma), Ellen Schwartz (Dormer), Frances Kircher (Paul) of Gibbstown, Robert (Valerie) of Woodbury, Danny of Reno, NV, and Brian of North Wildwood. Also mourning the loss of their Pop-Pop are his 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Schwartz, and his siblings Virginia, Cecilia, and Bernard.
Prior to his retirement in 1984, John was employed by the Boeing Company. He was a member of the North Wildwood Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge of Greater Wildwood. An avid learner, John took many classes in his spare time and was a passionate craftsman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 2nd, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame de la Mer, St. Ann's Church, 2901 Atlantic Avenue, Wildwood, NJ 08260. Interment is private.
Young, Kenneth Amasa
Kenneth Amasa Young, 82, of Dennisville, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010. Born in Petersburg to the late Amasa and Mabel (Wriggins) Young, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors. It was a familiar sight to see him riding his bicycle. He was always working.
Mr. Young is survived by his chidren, John D. (Patty) Young of Petersburg, Darin W. (Tony) Young of Dennisville, Donna M. (Toddy) Nichols of Dennisville, Bonnie R. Baum of Arizona, and Kenneth A. (Bonnie) Young, Jr. of Somers Point; his six sisters, Ada Devlin, Myrtle Young, Ida Cassidy, Elva Hearon, Virginia Platt, and Janice Demarest; his two brothers, Edward Young and Donald Young; 18 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Young; his daughter, Arlene Mason; and his brother, Hobie Young.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Head of the River Cemetery, Estell Manor.
Warner, Betty Lou
BETTY LOU WARNER (Nee Mickle) of Hamburg, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 at the Hospice of Central, PA in Harrisburg, PA. She was 60 yrs. Born and raised in Medford, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Charles S. and Mary (Nee Shinske) Mickle. She is the Beloved Wife of David P. Warner Sr. of Hamburg, PA and the Loving Mother of Ticia Miller of Hamburg, PA and Paul C. Miller and his wife Kathy of Oswego, IL. She is also survived by her Step-Sons David Warner of Vincentown, NJ and Steven Warner of NJ, her Grandchildren Brandon Miller and Ryan Miller both of Oswego, IL, her Sister-in-law Nancy Schreiber of Fort Belvior, VA, her brother-in-law William Warner of NJ and her aunt Mabel Bischoff and her uncle Russell Shinske. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600), where a Funeral Service will take place on Thursday at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Stackhouse, Geraldine A.
Geraldine A. Stackhouse, age 93, of Erma, died on Monday, May 18, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Geraldine Leninger. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late John and Irene Spellman Hutton, and lived in this area for over sixty five years. She was formerly employed by Middle Township Facilities Department.
She is survived by a son: John (Shirley nee Rich) Stackhouse; three daughters: Irene (John) Oliver, Flora Carlberg (Roger Kagey), and Geraldine (Dave) Leninger; a brother: George Hutton; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Annetta Bentley.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, followed by services at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Zook, Victor J.
Zook, Victor J., 42, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Thursday February 5, 2009. Born in Philadelphia to Laverne and Maryann (Wisely) Zook he worked as Security at the Sands Casino while he lived in Wildwood, NJ from 1989 to 2003.
Victor is survived by his children, Stephanie, Christopher, and Andrew; his brothers and sisters, Lorraine Schiavo, Anna Marie Martino, Anthony Zook, Rose Marie Pantalone, Amanda Zook, and David Zook; Stephanie's mother, Arleen; many nieces and nephews; and one grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 1425 Pompton Av., Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.
Tripple, Jr., Herbert S.

Herbert S. Tripple, Jr., 92, of Granville, MA, formerly of Avalon, NJ, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Herbert S. and Anna (Sommer) Tripple, Sr., he moved to Avalon in 1968 from Haddon Heights before moving to Granville in 2003.
He chartered the Property and Casualty Underwriters Inc.
He was a member of the State Fire Prevention Association of New Jersey and Cape May County Realtor Association.
He was president of the Avalon Real Estate Agency in Stone Harbor and was an insurance representative for 35 years for Maryland Casualty Co.
He was a volunteer at Maris Stella, Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital and the Performing Arts Center.
He was an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Tripple is survived by his children, Mary Theresa Hodur of Granville, MA, H. Michael Tripple (Jane) of St. Paul, MN, Anna Marie Watson (William) of Cape May Court House, and Kathleen Holl (Robert) of Charlotte, NC; and his six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie on January 6, 1993; his grandson, William Watson, Jr. on November 29, 2001; and his son in law, Ernie Hodur on September 17, 2007.
The family appreciates and sincerely thanks the caregiver team for the past several years.
Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Maris Stella Chapel, 25th Street and First Avenue, Avalon, NJ, where viewing will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Tuesday at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.

Basile, Anthony John
BASILE, ANTHONY J. passed away on February 5, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer at home, in the arms of his loving wife.
Age 53.
Resident of Blackwood, NJ. Formerly of Stratford, NJ.
Anthony was a loving, giving, sensitive husband, caring and devoted father who always put his family first.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 28 years, Kathy (nee Coruzzi) Basile and two devoted sons, Matthew Basile and Kevin Basile, with their special friends, Sarah Torpey and Allison Ruggerio.
Anthony is also survived by his parents, Tony and Carmella (nee Vattima) Basile of Stratford, NJ ; a brother Richard (Chris) Basile of Somerdale, NJ; and a sister, Donna Baxter of Marlton, NJ.
He will also be sadly missed by his mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Ann Coruzzi of Marlton and his sister-in-law, Joann (Wynn) Rothong also of Marlton.
Nieces, nephews, dear friends and co-workers will also grieve his loss that came much too soon in this life.
Anthony will also be sadly missed by his special cat, "little guy".
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday February 10 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ.
Memorial Service will be 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
