Wilfred E. Dunn
Wilfred E. Dunn 86, died on Friday September 14, 2001 at Tally-Ho Manor in Boonton Township, New Jersey.
He was born in Port Jervis, New York and lived in Essex County before moving to the Lake Arrowhead section of Denville, New Jersey 40 years ago.
He had been a bank teller for the American National Bank and Trust in Parsippany, NJ for 13 years before retiring in 1984. Prior to working for the bank he had owned and operated a Card Shop in Essex County, NJ for many years.
He was a Masonic Member of Genesis Masonic Lodge # 88 F. and A.M. in Pompton Lakes, NJ for 55 years.
He was also a member of the Church of the Saviour in Denville, NJ.
He was also a member of the Germania Park in Dover, NJ.
He was also a member of the Lake Arrowhead Community Club in Denville, NJ.
He is survived by his wife Ruth E. (Klein) Dunn, Stepson Dr. Richard E. Krieg of Trabuco Canyon, CA. and Stepdaughters Robin E. Schreck of Hopatcong, NJ, and Ruth E. Cameron of Phoenixville, PA. Grandchildren: Christopher, Sean, Anne, Michael, and Eric. Great Grandchildren: Amanda, Anna, Easter, Chloe, Nicholas, Joseph, Luke, Olivia, Kevin, and Christopher.
Memorial Services will be held at the Church of the Saviour in Denville, NJ on Friday September 21, at 11:00 AM.

Nancy L. Jauch
Nancy Louise Jauch died on Friday September 14, 2001 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. She was 63.
She lived in Hillsboro, NJ before moving to Denville in 1964.
She had been a School Teacher at Thomas Jefferson Jr. High School in Rockaway, NJ for 19 years before retiring in 1997. She was a special education teacher, and had also been very active with the Morris County A.R.C. Association of Retarded Citizens. She received the Governors Teachers Recognition Award in 1988.
She is survived by her daughter Jan Karen Malecki of Denville, NJ, and Sons: William John, and Jon Jon William Jauch. Grandchildren Christopher and Kimberly Malecki.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday Sept. 18, from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Norman Dean Funeral Home.

Peter Luzzi
Peter Luzzi died on Sunday September 16, 201, at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. He was 46.
He was born and raised, living his entire life in Denville, NJ.
He had been a Real Estate Sales Associate for Coldwell Banker Real Estate in Mt. Lakes, NJ. He received his License in 1997. He also achieved the Million Dollar Sales Club in 2000.
He was a graduate of Morris Knolls High School, and attended County College of Morris.
He had been a life time member of the Indian Lake Community Club in Denville, and was almost King of the Lake in 1973.
He also was a member of the New Jersey Associates of Realtors.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne M. (Karl) Luzzi, with whom he was married
for 13 years. Daughters: Deidre S., Kara P., and Aidan D. Luzzi all of Denville, NJ. His Mother: Patricia J. Luzzi of Denville, NJ.
Brothers: Daniel of Denville, NJ, Michael of Mt. Arlington, NJ, David of Hopatcong, NJ, and Patrick of Randolph, NJ.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 20, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit on Wednesday 1:00 -4:00PM and 6:00 - 9:00PM at the funeral Home.

Les J. Leifken
Les J. Leifken died Thursday at St. Clare's Hospital Denville, NJ after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 48.
Born in Newark, NJ Mr. Leifken grew up in Denville and then Rockaway where he lived at the time of his death.
Mr. Leifken co-owned and operated Denville Bear and Body Services with his brothers and was started by his father Joseph Leifken.
Mr. Leifken had his license for drag racing through the National Hot Rod Association in New Jersey.He loved to play guitar in several bands, one of which ministered to prisons. He also loved fishing.
His daughter, Kayla L. died in 1986, and his mother Joan Leifken died in 1967.
Survivors include his Loving wife of 19 years Kelly L. (Nee Huebner).
Beloved father of two daughters Lindsey E., Chelsea R., one son Cody M. all at home. His father and step mother Joseph and Margaret Leifken of Rockaway, three brothers Greg of Allamuchy, Joseph of Jefferson, Kurt of Rockaway, Two sisters, Patricia Ceballos of Redmond, Washington, Mary Leifken of Roanoke, Virginia, three step brothers, Thomas and James Crowell both of Wayne, David Crowell of Ledgewood, one step sister, Cindy Rec of Budd Lake.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Sept. 22nd at 9:30AM at the Church Alive 791 Rt 10 East Randolph, NJ. John Kevin Kearns

Mr. Kearns died Saturday Sept. 22nd at the Andover Nursing Home in Andover, NJ he was 67 years old.Mr. Kearns was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Bayside LI, NY before moving to Denville, NJ in 1970. Mr. Kearns was employed in the Marketing Dept. of Met Life Insurance Co., NYNY for 25 years retiring in 1991. Mr. Kearns was a peace time US Army Veteran serving from 1957 to 1963.
Mr. Kearns was the beloved husband of Mary J. Kearns. Father of David of Danville, Michael of Bethlehem Twp., PA, Kevin of Hackettstown, and Diana of Bethlehem Twp., PA.Grandfather of Kayla. Brother of Richard of Berkeley Heights, Rev. David Kearns of Bronx, NY, Kathleen and Regina Kearns both of Bayside LI, NY.

Mrs. Baker died on Thursday Sept 27th at St. Clares Hospital Denville, NJ . She was 83 years old. Mrs. Baker was born in Belleville, NJ and lived in Bedminister for 4 years and the last 4 years in Franciscan Oaks Denville, NJ.
Mrs. Baker was the beloved wife of the late William A. Baker. Mrs. Baker is survived by two sons William A. of Ft Worth Texas and John R. of Bedminister. Grandmother of six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Alan P. Nowakowski, "Al Nowak" Died Saturday Sept.22nd at home after a long illness. Born in South Plainfield he lived in Parsippany before moving to Denville in 1964. Mr. Nowakowski was self employed for over forty years and a master machinist. He served in the Army Reserve from 1957 to 1963. Beloved husband of June A. (Nee Williams) for 43 years. Loving father of Ken Nowak of Boonton, Mark Nowak of Denville, and Debbra Koeppel of Landing. Grandfather of of Kenny, Danny, and Stephanie. Brother of Gail Peterson, Karen Keene, and Helene Nowakowski all of Summerville, SC.

Robert D. Mattson
Robert D. Mattson died at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. He was 54 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY he moved to Green Pond, New Kersey 21 years ago. He was the Senior Vice President for Fiducuary Trust Company International in New York, NY for 30 years. Mr. Mattson attended Cardinal Farley Military Accademy in in 1965, and the College of Santa Fe, NM in 1969. He was in the Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star. He also was former president of the Green Pond Board of Directors, and Formere Little League & Baskettball coach in Rockaway Township, NJ. Mr. Mattson was a member of the New York State Bankers Association.
Mr. Mattson was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Higgins) and loving father of Jean and James Mattson.
Son of Marguerite Mattson and brother of one.
A memorial Mass will be held on October 13, at 10:30AM, at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church in Mt. Lakes, NJ.
Earline "Mac" McLaurin

Earline "Mac" McLaurin born January 23, 1920 in Lumberton, NC departed after a long illness on October 5, 2001 at the Continuing Care Pavilion Dover, NJ. Earline lived in Lumberton, NC and moved to Elizabethtown, NC where she attended Bladen County Training School and graduated Cum Laude. She then moved to Philadelphia, PA in 1937 and worked at Frankford Arsenal from 1941 then moved to Rockaway, NJ and worked at Picatinny Arsenal from 1978 till her retirement in 1988. After her retirement she moved moved back to Philadelphia. PA to be with her family. Her pastime favorites were gardening, watching sports with her grandsons and barbecuing. She will be remembered by family and friends for her unselfish acts of giving caring support.
Mrs. McLaurin is survived by a daughter Gwendolyn Osborne. Grandchildren Timothy and Tracy Osborne, Ginger Harris and her husband Thomas Harris. A sister Laurestein Gill and her husband Roscoe Gill Sr. Nieces Rosalind, Kathy, Nephews Delmar and the late Roscoe Gill Jr. Grand Nieces and Nephews Heather, Natalia, Nadezsha, Karan, Nantambu, and Paul. Great Grand Nieces and Nephews Devon, Christina, Charles, Charan, Syndey, Nia, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Frank Page Jr. Funeral Home 1748 West Erie Ave., Philadelphia, PA on Tuesday Oct. 9th at 1:00PM followed by interment at Mt.Lawn cemetery.
A tribute will be held at her home in Rockaway on Saturday Oct.13th at 6: 0PM for family and care givers, 7-9PM for friends and family.
