RAYMOND CHING, 66, of ASBURY PARK, died Monday, Aug. 4, at home. He was the first recycling coordinator of Monmouth County. He was instrumental in bringing recycling programs on line in local towns in the first countywide recycling program in the United States. He served as recycling coordinator at Rutgers University for many years and developed the largest university recycling program in the nation. A member of the board of directors of the National Recycling Coalition, he frequently lectured at universities throughout the country. Mr. Ching served on the Tinton Falls Planning Board, the Red Bank Environmental Commission, and the Monmouth County Friends of Clearwater. Born in Hollywood, Calif., he lived in Asbury Park.
Surviving are a son, Jon Ching, of Honolulu; and two stepsisters, Gwen-Lin Goo of New York City and Ai-Lin Goo of Honolulu.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to Monmouth Friends of Clearwater, Box 303, Red Bank, NJ 07701, would be appreciated. Arrangements are by the C.H.T. Clayton and Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia.

JAMES F. CLARK SR., 62, of MANCHESTER

JAMES F. CLARK SR., 62, of MANCHESTER, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, at home. He was a warehouse foreman for Trombe Flooring, Lakewood, for 27 years. Born in Lakewood, he had lived in Jackson before moving to Manchester two years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Emer Clark; seven sons, James Clark Jr. of Beachwood, Charles Clark of Jackson, Roy Clark of Manchester, Richard Clark, Scott Clark and Robert Clark, all of Beachwood, and David Clark of Brick; three brothers, Ernest Clark and Alvin Clark, both of Florida, and Lloyd Clark of Toms River; four sisters, Joyce Briggs of Jackson, Shirley Hewes of Howell, Thelma Matthews of Toms River, and Elsie Harding of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 11 grandchildren.

Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road, Adelphia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia.

KENNETH N. ELDRIDGE, 84, of HOWELL

KENNETH N. ELDRIDGE, 84, of HOWELL, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Bartley Health Care Nursing & Rehab, Jackson. He was a driver for Lakewood Auto Supply for eight years. Prior to that, he was a heavy equipment and crane operator for Fred McDowell for 45 years until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Born in Neptune, he had lived there before moving to Howell.
Surviving are his wife, Iris Wagner Eldridge; a son, Raymond W. Eldridge of Howell; and three grandchildren, Raymond K., Shawn and Amy Eldridge, all of Howell.

Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia.

NICHOLAS VASILIEVICH FEODOROFF, 101, of Suffern, N.Y., formerly of HOWELL

NICHOLAS VASILIEVICH FEODOROFF, 101, of Suffern, N.Y., formerly of HOWELL, died Sunday, Sept. 28, at Ramapo Manor Nursing Home, Suffern, N.Y. Born in Russia, he left Russia in 1920 with General Wrangel. He came to the United States in 1929 and became a naturalized citizen in 1938. He received his B.S. in Administration from Svobodnya University, Bulgaria in 1929. He received his B.S. in Engineering from Columbia University in 1935 and his M.C.E. in 1936. He received his D.C.E. from Sequoia University in 1952; emeritus - Sigma XI, Chi Epsilon; Dumbell Columbia Mechanical Engineering. He served with the White Russian Army from 1917 to 1921. He was decorated with the St. George Medal. He also received the Acad. Palm Medal, Officer Palmes Academique from France; Comdr. Order of Merit in Research and Invention from France; Medal Renaissance Francaise by the President and Ministers of France in 1953. He received the Cross of Legion of Greek Am. War Vets Am. in 1958, and the Medial D'Honneur Societe d'Encouragement ar Proress in 1966, along with many other awards. He was a member of the Scientific and Professional Society, a fellow in the New York Academy of Science, Hon. Section in 1953 to 1955. He was the chairman of the Math and Engineering Section from 1955 to 1957, AAAS, hon., Royal Society Engineering, ASCE; American Geoph. University, member of Am. Mil. Engineering, and intern with the Association of Hydraulic Research. He was a member of the Columbia Alumni Engineering Association. He was a former vice president of the American Russian Aid Association, and a former president of the Russian American Scholars Association in the USA. He was a former president of the Society for the Relief of Russian Was Invalids from 1967 to 2003; the Don Cossacks Outside of Russia, the Alliance of Don, Kuban, Tereck Cossacks. He received honors from the Fellowship of Research, Sequoia Research Institute, the American Order of the Association of National des Croix de Querre of France. He was a fellow life-member of the Russian American Engineers in the USA, Association of Officers Leib Guard Cossacks of His Majesty the Emperor of Russia. In addition, he has written numerous scientific papers which have been published in the AGU, New York Academy of Science, the America S.C.E. E. Proceedings, the American S. Mech. Engineering - Transaction, in International congress of Applied Mechanics Books, The Truth. "Cossacks - The Glory of Russia," a Hearthstone Book, "From Don River to Hudson River." He is listed in Who's Who in America, In the East, Community Leaders, Notable Americans, Men of Achievement IBC, Cambridge; Dictionary of International Biography IBC, Cambridge and the Academia Italia - Contemporary Personalities Who is Who in Imperial Russia and USSR and others published both in Russia and the USA. He was a professor of engineering at Columbia University and City College, New York City. Prior to that, he headed the Research Board of Water Supply, Honolulu, from 1937 to 1938. He was the head research associate for fluid mechanics and hydraulics at Columbia University from 1939 to 1954. He was a visiting professor at Manhattan College from 1941 to 1948; associate professor from 1948 to 1969; professor from 1946 to 1948; adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck; adjunct professor at City College of the City of New York University from 1965 to 1976; professor of International Technology Institute for Hydraulic and San. Engineering at the University of the Netherlands from 1960 to 1980 during the summers. He was a special lecturer in Bombay, Calcutta; Bangkok, Australia and New Zealand. He was the director of the Commonwealth Edison Research Project from 1950 to 1951, Whirlpool Research Project from 1952 to 1953; the Development Corp., Palo Alto, Calif. from 1947 to 1950. He was a consultant with W. Brigs Engineering Co., New Rochelle, N.Y. from 1939 to 1955. He was also a consultant with Ebasko Engineers Co.
He was predeceased by a brother, Peter, in 1953. There are no known survivors.

The Pannyhida will take place at 5: 30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Alexander Avenue, Howell. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the cathedral. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson. C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia, is in charge of arrangements.

AMELIA DE FUSCO, 94, of JACKSON

AMELIA DE FUSCO, 94, of JACKSON, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Bartley Health Care Nursing & Rehab, Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, New Dorp, Staten Island. She was a loving and giving person. She remained active in many of Bartley Health Care's social events. Once an avid cook, she enjoyed sharing her recipes with the residents and staff. The well being of others was always her first concern. Born in Fall River, Mass., she lived in Jersey City and New Dorp before moving to Jackson in 1994.
She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1982; and a son, John M. Jr., in 2003. Surviving are two sons, Ronald DeFusco of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Robert DeFusco of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Rita Spezzano of Staten Island; a close niece, Pat Gorden of Fall River, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visiting will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Relatives and friends may gather at 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at St. Aloysius Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island.

CONCETTA "ESTHER" GAZERRO, 91, of FARMINGDALE

CONCETTA "ESTHER" GAZERRO, 91, of FARMINGDALE, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Bartley Health Care Nursing and Rehab, Jackson. She was the owner/operator of Esther's Restaurant, formerly Gazerro's, Freehold, for 15 years. Her love of gardening, sewing, and cooking inspired all who knew her and will be forever remembered by her family and friends. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she lived in Newark, Manhattan, Freehold and Gulfport, Fla., before moving to Farmingdale in 1993.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 1984; and a son, Arthur, in 1977. Surviving are two daughters, Marinda DiDia of Farmingdale, and Anna Carom of Ringoes; two brothers,Samuel Yezzi of Fredericktown, Pa., and Donald Yezzi of Tuckerton; a sister, Frances Ingino of Barnegat; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Friends and relatives may gather for the Rite of Committal at 8: 30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral Home followed by a 9: 30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Asbury Avenue, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Ringoes. LEILA MURPHY HERBEIN, 88, of FARMINGDALE

LEILA MURPHY HERBEIN, 88, of FARMINGDALE, died Monday, Sept. 15, at Shorrock Gardens, Brick. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmingdale, Farmingdale. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star. She attended Mt. Ida College, Connecticut. Her father, Edgar O. Murphy, was the second mayor of Farmingdale, and had served for over 44 years, making his term the longest in the history of Farmingdale. Her father was also the president of the First National Bank of Farmingdale. Born in Farmingdale, she had lived in Chatham before moving to Birdsboro, Pa. 52 years ago.
She was predeceased by her first husband, John F. Burrowes; and her second husband, John S. Herbein. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert D. Burrowes of Seattle, Wash., and Norman F. and Dorothy Burrowes of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Victoria "Vicki" and Joseph Slaton of Normandy Beach, and Lora Burrowes of Billings, Mon.; two stepsons, John G. Herbein of Johnstown, Pa., and William W. Herbein of Birdsboro, Pa.; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today, with a service at 11 a.m. at the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia, with Rev. Dr. Wayne Richards officiating. Interment to follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.

DOROTHY M. LANE, 69, of TOMS RIVER

DOROTHY M. LANE, 69, of TOMS RIVER, died Sunday, Sept. 21, at home. She was a homemaker and a member of the East Dover Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Born in Farmingdale, she lived in Howell before moving to Toms River 25 years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Latius Lane; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Anthony Bruning of Toms River, Mark and Janet Bruning of Waretown, and Eugene and Bonnie Lane of Brick; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Francis and Evelyn Morgan of Sarasota, Fla., Robert and Eileen Morgan of Farmingdale, and Frances Morgan of Georgia; a sister and brother-in-law, William and Ann Matthews of Spring Lake; and five grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. Interment will follow in Farmingdale-Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

MARY D. LANZONE, 90, of HOWELL

MARY D. LANZONE, 90, of HOWELL, died Saturday, Aug. 16, at Naples Hospital, while on vacation in Naples, Fla. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Howell Senior Center. Born and raised in Watertown, N.Y., she lived in Saddle Brook before moving to Howell in 1990.

She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanette Tarantino of Toms River and Sandra Pape of Howell; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives may call from 7 to 8: 30 p.m. Thursday, followed by a memorial service at 8: 30 p.m. at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia, with the Rev. Thomas J. O'Connor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Kidney & Urology Foundation Inc., 1250 Broadway, Suite 2001, New York, NY 10001 and would be appreciated.

NORMA E. MUCK, 81, of FREEHOLD

NORMA E. MUCK, 81, of FREEHOLD, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was a bookkeeper for Central Jersey Bank, Freehold, until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Freehold. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in Bergenfield before moving to Freehold 26 years ago.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph, in 1976. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Wayne A. and Nancy Muck of Clarksburg, Millstone Township; and a grandson, Brian Muck of Clarksburg.

Friends and relatives may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, 958 Adelphia Road (Route 524), Adelphia. A memorial funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Tupy officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Muck may be made to Hope Lutheran Church at the address listed above and would be appreciated.
