Robert F. Hudson
KENSINGTON - Robert F. Hudson, 78, of 213 Amesbury Road, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, in Exeter Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1924, in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late William and Gladys (Wells) Hudson. He was raised in Lynn and had resided in Kensington for 30 years coming from Topsfield, Mass.
He was a graduate of Lynn High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hudson was an antique dealer in Hampton Falls for nearly 20 years. He had previously owned Yankee Printer in Hampton from 1979 until 1982, owned and operated the Foxrun Press in Topsfield, and worked in advertising and promotion for WBZ-TV.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, J. Joan (DiVirgilio) Hudson; two sisters, Winnie Waterhouse of Lynn and Louise McArrell of Land O’Lakes, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton. Burial will be in Main Street Cemetery, Rowley, Mass.
Arrangements are by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, Hampton.
Simone R. Lamoureux
BRENTWOOD - Simone R. Lamoureux, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home where she had resided for seven years.
She was born June 5, 1909, in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of the late Leonidas and Bertha (Beauchamp) Bouthillier. She had resided in Salem and in Gulf Port, Fla., for several years.
The widow of Paul A. Lamoureux, who died in 1994, she is survived by one son and his wife, Paul and Gail Lamoureux of Templeton, Mass.; two daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth and James Covey of Hampton and Nancy and Kenney Banks of Stow, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Madeline Milonais of Montreal.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton. After cremation interment will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rockingham County Nursing Home Patient Fund, North Road, Brentwood, NH 03833.

Vernon C. MacPhee
HAMPTON - Vernon C. MacPhee, 83, of 698 Lafayette road, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Seacoast Health Center, Inc.
He was born Oct. 6, 1919, in Chelsea, Mass., the son of the late William and Laurel (Marsh) MacPhee. He was raised in Chelsea and had resided in Woburn, Mass., before coming to Hampton.
He attended Chelsea schools and was a U.S. Army veteran serving as a member of the 745th Railway Battalion.
Mr. MacPhee was a retired superintendent of labor relations and personnel for the Boston and Maine Railroad. He was an employee of Walgreen’s in Hampton and was referred to as "Pal."
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Woburn.
Mr. MacPhee was a master Mason for more than 50 years and was a member of the Mt. Horeb Lodge AF & AM of Woburn; a past Dad adviser for the International Order of Rainbow Girls; a member of the SPEBSQ Barber Shop Singers; and the Mishuam Choral Society.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Geraldine (Allen) Winton-MacPhee; two sons, William MacPhee of Manchester and Vernon MacPhee Jr. of Derry; two daughters, Beverly Hartford of Newtonville, Mass., and Susan LeBlanc of Derry; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin MacPhee of Salem; one sister, Phyllis Cheyme of Derryfield, Fl.; one niece and one nephew.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian Winton MacPhee.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church, Main St., Woburn. Burial will follow in the Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.

Francis P. McGown
BRENTWOOD - Francis P. McGown, 83, formerly of Stratham, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Rockingham County Nursing Home.
He was born May 30, 1919, in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Walter C. and Mabel (Rolt) McGowan and had resided in Stratham since 1972.
Mr. McGown worked for his son at Modern TV and Appliance in North Hampton for several years. He was previously a baker for the Cushman Bakery in Lynn.
He is survived by one son and his wife, Ralph E. and Wanda McGown of Stratham; two daughters, Debra Begnoche of San Antonio, Texas, and Jeannette Maatman of Brooksville, Fla.; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Dot O’Donnell of Massachusetts and Helen Rollinson of Seabrook; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Willis S. Noel
EAST KINGSTON - Willis S. Noel, 77, of 20 Haverhill Road, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Revere, Mass., the son of the late George and Julia (Noseworthy) Noel. He lived most of his life in Chelsea, Mass., moving to East Kingston in 1996.
He served with the Merchant Marines from 1942 until 1943. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served in the European Theater during World War II.
Mr. Noel was employed in the construction business for many years.
He was a life member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The widower of Rita (McKenny) Noel who died in 1955, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sons, Richard Noel, who died in 1999; Robert Noel who died in 19978; four brothers, George, David, Hayward and John Noel; and one sister, Jennie (Noel) Lewandowski.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter.
Joseph C. Pesaturo
YARMOUTHPORT, Mass. - Joseph C. Pesaturo, formerly of Hampton Beach, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, in Yarmouthport.
Mr. Pesaturo was the former owner of McNally’s Store in Brighton, Mass.
The widower of Helen W. "Honey" Pesaturo, he is survived by two sons and their wives, Joseph and Judy Pesaturo of Anacortes, Wash, and John and Jane Pesaturo of Sandwich, Mass.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary White of Waltham.
He was predeceased by one brother, John Pesaturo; and three sisters, Lilly McGuire, Josephine Boupre and Connie Redmond.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lehman & Reen Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave., Brighton.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. in St. Columbkille Church, 321 Market St., Brighton. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, Mass.
Bernard J. Rayeski
NEWMARKET - Bernard J. Rayeski, 67, of Grant Road, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, of the suspected effects of Agent Orange he was exposed to during the Vietnam War.
He was born April 28, 1935, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., the son of Stanley and Mary (Wyberski) Rayeski.
Mr. Rayeski retired from the U.S. Navy in 1972 as a senior chief petty officer, after 21 years of service. He was highly decorated and served in the Korean conflict, was a proud River Rat in the Vietnam War and was a hard helmet diver. His duty assignments included service on aircraft carriers, destroyers and PBRs.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans, Fleet Reserve and the National Rifle Association. He was past master of Rosicrucian Order, AMROC.
He was an avid reader, enjoyed woodworking, deep sea fishing, hunting, farming, spending time with his family and was proud of his Polish heritage.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly (Norton) Rayeski; five children, Deborah Place and her husband Joe of Newmarket, Cheryl Cinfo of Virginia, Heidi Rayeski of Newmarket, Keith Rayeski and his wife Bonnie of Newmarket and Rebecca Gatcomb and her husband of Newmarket; and eight grandchildren.
Private services will be held in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.

Edna L. Bailey
HAMPTON - Edna L. Bailey, 92, formerly of Exeter Road, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home.
She was born June 27, 1910, on Plantation 14 in Maine, the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Carrie M. (Bridges) Smith and moved to Hampton in 1928.
Mrs. Bailey attended schools in Maine.
The widow of Birlem B. Bailey, her husband of 68 years who died in 1996, she is survived by one son and his wife, Bradley B. and Paulette Bailey of Hampton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

James R. Ace
DRACUT, Mass. - James R. Ace, 70, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 30, 1932, in Syracuse, N.Y., the son of the late Robert F. and Ruth (Emmons) Ace.
He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Syracuse University.
Mr. Ace retired as vice principal of Dracut junior and senior high schools in 1995 after more than 13 years of service. He had previously taught English at the former Central Technical High School and at Fayetteville Manilus High School in New York; was an assistant professor of English at SUNY, Oswego; and the English department chairman of Grand Island High School in New York; and the English department chairman at Taconic High School, Pittsfield, Mass.
He was an avid golfer and a member of the Nabnasset Golf Club; a trustee of the Moses Greeley Library, Dracut; and a member of the board of managers of Oak Knoll Condominium.
He campaigned tirelessly on behalf of the library expansion in Dracut.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Clee (Aquilino) Ace; two sons, Mark Ace of Portland, Ore., and Eric Ace of Freeland, Md.; two daughters, Kristin Ace of Morristown, N.J., and Jennifer MacPherson of Newfields; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Nancy Maltby of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
There are no calling hours. Cremation will take place at Linwood Crematory, Haverhill, Mass.

Josephine H. Cadieux
EXETER - Josephine H. Cadieux, 86, of Summer Street, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in Exeter Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Newport, the daughter of the late Frank and Olive (Jordan) Tracy. She was raised in Newport and resided in Nashua for several years before moving to Exeter in 1952.
She was a graduate of Newport High School.
Mrs. Cadieux and her late husband owned and operated Cadieux Wayside Furniture in Stratham for 40 years. They had previously owned C&R Furniture in Nashua and owned and managed Hillcrest Hotel at Hampton Beach.
She was a communicant of St. Michael Church, Exeter, and will be remembered as a wonderful cook.
The widow of Lucien R. Cadieux, who died in 1978, she is survived by four sons, Vincent Cadieux of Nashua, Thomas Cadieux of Brentwood, Frank Cadieux of Exeter and Roland Cadieux of Rochester; two daughters, Judy Cassidy of Exeter and Kay Dierks of Germany; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Exeter. Burial will be in Exeter Cemetery. A public reception will be held at Exeter Bowling Lanes following the mass.
