Joseph S. Noble Jr.
DELAND, Fla. - Joseph S. Noble Jr., 65, of Frances Drive, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, in Florida Hospital, Deland.
He was born in Hampton Beach, moving to Florida in 1980.
Mr. Noble was a retired machinist in the automotive industry and was a member of Grace Chapel in Deland.
He enjoyed NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Betty Noble; three sons, Joseph S. Noble III of New Hampshire, John Noble of New Jersey and Walter A. Pickels of Vidalia, Ga.; three daughters, Debbie Walker of New Hampshire, Marjorie King of Stone Mountain, Ga., Stacey O’Neal of Vidalia and Shannon Anderson of Deland; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Noble of Massachusetts and Robert Noble of New Hampshire; two sisters, Baryl Marshall of New Hampshire and Lisa Noble of Deland.
Memorial donations may be made to the Winnacunnet High School Scholarship Fund in memory of Joseph S. Noble Jr., Alumni Drive, Hampton, NH 03842.

Arthur Argereow Jr.
PORTSMOUTH - Arthur "Bing" Argereow Jr., 84, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in York Hospital, York, Maine.
He was born July 11, 1918, in Portsmouth, the son of the late Arthur and Elsie (Cammett) Argereow and was a lifelong resident of Portsmouth
He was educated in Portsmouth schools.
Mr. Argereow was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 25 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, fishing and gardening. He formerly played drums for big band-era musical groups.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irene (Parcell) Argereow of Portsmouth; one daughter Kimberly Argereow of Portsmouth; one son, Stephen Argereow of Andover, Mass.; one granddaughter; six sisters, Margaret Dominguez of Portsmouth, Elaine Stoyka of New York City, Mary Lasel of Sacramento, Calif., Anita Crowe of Rollinsford, Catherine Chase of Kittery, Maine, and Barbara Wood of Ridgeville, S.C.; three brothers, Clyde Argereow, Woodbury Argereow and Frederick Argereow, all of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Sarah Kafka.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.

Gibson L. Busfield
WINCHESTER, Mass. - Gibson L. Busfield, 81, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002.
He was born May 22, 1921, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of Leroy and Bertha Busfield.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Busfield was the executive vice president of Hastings-Tapley Insurance Co. of Woburn, Mass. He had previously worked for Sentry Insurance Co. of Concord. After retirement he worked with Ann Blackham & Co. Realtors of Winchester.
He was a member of the Winchester Country Club.
The widower of Marilyn (Allen) Busfield, he is survived by one son, Peter Busfield of Hampton; two daughters, Deborah R. McDonough of Amesbury, Mass., and Kimberly A. Mollica of North Andover, Mass.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, John and David Busfield.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Parish of the Epiphany Church, 70 Church St., Winchester. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Winchester Hospital, 41 Highland Ave., Winchester, MA 01890.

Frances B. Copp
BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. - Frances B. (Steward) Copp, 66, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002.
She was born March 31, 1936, in Franklin County, Maine, the daughter of the late Alton and Hermia (Ellis) Steward, and had resided in Rangeley, Maine, for many years before moving to Blairsville 11 years ago.
She was a 1954 graduate of Rangeley High School and received a degree in administration.
Mrs. Copp was a licensed practical nurse and was employed by Clay County Care Center in Hayesville, N.C. She had retired from Clipper Affiliates of New Hampshire in 1991.
She was an active member of Blue Ridge Mountain Fitness Center. She was a member of the Church of The Good Shepherd in Rangeley.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, David A. Copp of Blairsville; one daughter and her husband, Susan and James Buchanan of North Hampton; one son and his wife, Mikal and Lee Copp of Berwick, Maine; four grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lynn "Mickey" Field of Blairsville; one brother, Nathaniel "Ally" Steward of Lowell, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, at 4 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Rangeley.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Georgia Mountain Hospice, P.O. Box 580, Jasper, GA 30143.

Nellie L. Currier
EPPING - Nellie Louise Currier, 88, of Mill Pond Road, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont, after a period of failing health.
She was born July 29, 1914, in Deerfield, the daughter of the late George and Jennie (Eaton) Denyou, and had lived most of her life in Epping.
Mrs. Currier was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking.
The widow of William Currier, who died in 1983, she is survived by three daughters, Collis Elliott of Maine, Judy Mandigo of Raymond and Jean Parsley of Epping; two sons, James Currier of Deerfield and William Currier of West Ossipee; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Collins of Epping and Corliss Robinson of Raymond; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Nancy Quintell.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping, with the Rev. Wayne VanGundy officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.
Herbert Eaton
AMESBURY, Mass. - Herbert Eaton, 81, of 175 Lions Mouth Road, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, in Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport, Mass., after a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Newburyport, the son of the late James and Annie (Ivers) Eaton.
He attended Newburyport High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Eaton was a millwright at GTE Sylvania, Inc., in Ipswich, Mass.
He was a life member and finance officer for many years of the American Legion Post No. 187 of Amesbury, Mass. He was a member of St. Mark's Lodge, A.F. & A.M., serving as master in 1990; Warren Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of Amesbury, serving as master in 1983; Merrimack Lodge, F. & A.M. and Saggahew Lodge, A.F. & A.M., both of Haverhill, Mass.; Charles C. Dame Lodge, A.F. & A.M. of Georgetown, Mass.; St. James Lodge No. 102 of Hampton; and General William Whipple Lodge of Portsmouth. He served as district deputy grand master of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts in 1991 and 1992; a member of the District Deputy Grand Masters Association of Massachusetts and the Past Masters Association of the Newburyport Tenth Masonic District. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Haverhill, Lowell and Boston; the East Gate Club; the 8 p.m. Association; and the Aleppo Temple Shrine in Wilmington, Mass.; and a former member of the York Rite Bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian J. (Rock) Eaton; one grandson, William Sylvain of New Hampshire; one sister, Rose Horowicz of Newburyport; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Cynthia Garrett, who died in 2001.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Funeral Home, 35 Green St., Newburyport. Masonic services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. by St. Mark's Lodge of Newburyport.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the American Legion Lot in Union Cemetery, Amesbury.

Edith Graves
STRATHAM - Edith Graves, 85, of 8 Lovell Road, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at her home after a sudden illness.
She was a resident of Stratham and St. Petersburg, Fla., for many years.
The widow of Edwin H. Graves, who died in 1997, she is survived by one daughter, Peggy Woodmancy of Colonial Heights, Va.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, with the Hon. Francis Frasier conducting the service. Burial will follow in Maple Lane Cemetery, Stratham.
Riley Heath
LEE - Riley Heath, 51, of Lee Hook Road, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, in Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport, Mass., after a period of failing health.
He was the husband of Barbara (Schanda) Heath.

George Mitchell
LONDONDERRY - George Mitchell, 68, of 19 Elmwood Road, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, in Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Nashua.
He was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Woburn, Mass., the son of the late John and Bertha (Boudreau) Mitchell. He had resided in Hudson for 20 years before moving to Londonderry 17 years ago.
He was educated in Dover schools and was a 1952 graduate of Newmarket High School. He attended UMass Lowell, the University of New Hampshire and Daniel Webster College, receiving a degree in electrical engineering.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War.
Mr. Mitchell worked at PMC Cable in Manchester and was a retired engineer from BAE systems.
He enjoyed his family and was involved with The Showstoppers, an accordion band, setting up and maintaining electronic equipment and musical instruments. He was a former director of the Hudson Girls Softball League and a former CCD teacher at St. John the Evangelist Church, Hudson.
He enjoyed sports, gardening and landscaping.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Turcotte) Mitchell; four daughters and their husbands, Jayne and James Brown of Manchester, Kathleen and Robert Hayes of Pelham, Jennifer and Francisco Santos of Litchfield and Sharon Mitchell and Richard DeSisto of Londonderry; four grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell and Jerome Mitchell, all of Newmarket, and William Mitchell of Wisconsin; two sisters, Nancy Beers of Newmarket and Betty Shaide of Cameron, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. in Infant Jesus Church, 121 Allds St., Nashua. Military burial will follow in Exeter Cemetery.

Hector P. Dionne
PORTSMOUTH - Hector P. Dionne, 85, of Langdon Place, formerly of Rye, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation of Portsmouth.
He was born Sept. 9, 1917, in Madawaska, Maine, the son of the late Paul and Alice (Ouclaire) Dionne. He resided in the Keene area for many years before moving to Rye.
He was a graduate of Madawaska High School and the Dunwoody Institute of Baking in Minneapolis.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Dionne was a well-known restaurateur. He and his wife founded, owned and operated Hector’s Country Kitchen in Rye , retiring in 1984. They had previously owned and operated the former Black Lantern Restaurant in Marlborough from 1952 until 1977.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Newington; the American Legion Post No. 8 of Dover; the N.H. Hospitality Association; and the American Restaurant Association.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie M. (Scott) Dionne of Portsmouth; two sons, Robert P. Dionne of Newmarket and David K. Dionne of Madbury; two daughters, Mary Ann Dionne of Bedford, Mass., and Susan M. Blake of Acworth and Misawa, Japan; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Fox Run Road, Newington. After cremation, burial will be in Central Cemetery, Rye.
