Ralph H. Seabury, 80, of Center Ossipee, died on May 30, 2001, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro after a bout with cancer.
Mr. Seabury was born on May 30, 1921, in Arlington, Mass., the son of the late Ralph and Leona (Bowler) Seabury. He had worked for Anheuser-Busch in Merrimack for 15 years before retiring. Prior to that he had worked as a veterinary technician in Manchester for Durant Animal Hospital and Lockridge Animal Hospital from 1948 until 1975, and then for an animal hospital in Nashua until 1980. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II. He retired in 1995 and moved to Center Ossipee. His hobbies included wood working and raising horses.
Family members include his wife of 30 years, Linda (Gayer) Seabury; one son, Ralph Seabury III of Weare; three daughters, Gale Pitarys of Skaneateles, N.Y., Janet Krenke of Londonderry, and Linda Seabury of Manchester; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Seabury of Florida; one sister, Shirley Wells of Rowley, Mass.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
Robert C. "Joe" Fallon, 80, a postal inspector, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at his home in Franklin.
Joe was born and educated in Malden, Mass., and after completing high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II. When he was discharged, he returned to Malden and went to work for the Malden Post Office. He retired as a postal inspector in 1984 after 25 years with the Malden Post Office. He attended St. Joseph's Church in Malden and was a member of the Irish American Club of Malden. He was a passionate golfer and was very active in local political campaigns. Mr. Fallon lived in Malden, Mass., all of his life until moving into an assisted living facility in Franklin two and a half years ago.
He is survived by his son James R. "Rob" and his wife Karyn Fallon of New Hampshire; his sisters, Catta King of Hamilton and Patricia Downing of Malden; his grandson, Joshua Fallon and his granddaughter Jordan A. M. Fallon of New Hampshire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha A. (Henslick) Fallon.
He was born April 23, 1921 in Boston, Mass., the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Parker) Fallon.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, Mass., on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden, Mass., with the Rev. Richard T. Bakker of St. Joseph's Church officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery in Arlington, Mass.
Mrs. Marguerite M. (Hayward) Fahey, 84, died on Monday morning, June 4, 2001, at her home in Amesbury, Mass., after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late William S. Fahey.
Born in Winthrop, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Theresa (Galvin) Hayward. She had been a longtime resident of Saugus, Mass., prior to moving to Amesbury four years ago, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Fahey summered for many years on Lake Ossipee.
She leaves six daughters, Mary Jo Basurto of Alexandria, Va., Kathleen Walker of Leawood, Kan., Patricia Hochmuth of Groveland, Mass., Maureen Burke of Platte City, Mo., Elizabeth Fahey of Merrimac, and Eileen Taylor of Merrimac; six sons, William Fahey Jr. of Brownfield, Maine, Joseph Fahey of Amesbury, John Fahey of Saugus, Mass., Peter Fahey of Salisbury, Mass., Richard Fahey of Amesbury, Mass., and Thomas Fahey of Amesbury, Mass.; one sister, Marilyn Hayward of Lynn, Mass.; two brothers, Benjamin Hayward of Peabody, Mass., and Frank Nerden of Danvers, Mass. She is also survived by 41 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late James and Joseph Hayward.
Funeral from the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Avenue, Saugus, Mass., will be on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Margaret's Church, 431 Lincoln Avenue, Saugus at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.

Stephen Laurent, 92, of Intervale, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway.
He was born in the Indian Village of the St. Francis in Odanak, Quebec, the son of the late Abenaki Chief Joseph Laurent and Georgianna Wawanolet Laurent of the St. Francis Abenaki Indian Reserve in Odanak.
He married Emily Margaret Pfister on Sept. 2, 1952, in North Conway and she died on Aug. 18, 1993.
Mr. Laurent at age 15 attended Nicolet Seminary in Nicolet, Quebec. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Jackson for many years, retiring in 1974. He along with his family also operated the Indian Shop in Intervale for many years.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Roman Catholic Parish, the Gibson Center and many historical societies in the Mount Washington Valley.
Stephen's wife was a supporter of his Abenaki linguistic works, composing in 1955 a speech that Stephen gave to the Vermont Historical Society which chronicled much of his works. This speech was subsequently published as a chapter in the book "Dawn Over the Kennebec," by Mary Calvert.
His greatest work was spending parts of his last 25 years translating Father O'Brien's copy of Aubery's French to Abenaki dictionary to English and was published in December, 1995, by Chisholm Bros. Press, Portland, Maine.
The family includes: a sister, Bernadette Laurent of Odanak, Quebec; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth A. Pfister; and two nieces, E. Ninette Basil and M. Suzanne Guinn, all of Seymour, Ind. He was predeceased by six brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway. Burial will be in the Pfister/Laurent Family Lot in Intervale. Donations may be sent to the charity of ones choice.
OSSIPEE -- Sadie L. (Charles) Day, 61, of Center Ossipee and formerly of Fryeburg and Guilford, Maine, died Monday, June 4, 200, at the Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin.
She was born in Chatham, the daughter of Dean and Evangeline Dyer Charles and was educated in Chatham and Fryeburg schools. Sadie was a home maker and enjoyed crafts, paying cards, country music and taking long rides.
Her husband, Floyd E. Day, died in 1994. Her family includes two sons, Dale McLuskey of Lebanon, Maine, and Lee McLuskey of Portland, Maine; one daughter Deborah Sargent of Center Ossipee; four sisters, Anita Buswell of Fryeburg, Doris Ela of Fryeburg, Ruth Dyer of Abbot Village, and Norma Diperro of South Portland, Maine; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 11, at Riverside Cemetery in North Fryeburg, with the Pastor Donald Maranville officiating.
Arrangements are with Wood Funeral Home of Fryeburg.
Graveside services for Miss Florence E. Flint, 72, of Laconia, will be held Saturday, June 9, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson.
Rev. Robert Robb, pastor of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Laconia, will officiate. She died on Dec. 12, 2000.
Survivors include a sister, Lois F. Plimpton, of Laconia; three nephews, Jonathan Plimpton, Stephen Plimpton and Paul Plimpton; and two grandnieces and two grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Home Activities Fund, 406 Court Street, Laconia NH 03246, or to Child Reach, 155 Plan Way, Warwick RI 02886.

PORTER, Maine -- Edward E. Atwell, 60, of Ossipee Trail, died June 1, 2001, at Maine Medical Center, Portland.
He was born Feb. 23, 1941, in Cheshire, Mass., a son of Earle G. and Dorothy E. Shephard Atwell.
Mr. Atwell was educated in Cambridge, New York schools and attended Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts.
Before moving to Maine, Mr. Atwell lived in Amherst and Belchertown, Mass.
Mr. Atwell worked many years ago as a welder, retiring due to ill health.
He attended Hilltop Baptist Church, served as Cub master for Pack 375 and served as dispatcher for the Kezar Falls Fire Department.
His hobbies included fishing and woodworking.
Mr. Atwell is predeceased by three sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Sheila A. Whitmarsh Atwell, of Porter, Maine; two daughters, Tammy J. Atwell, of Somersworth, and Mrs. Kevin (Tracey L.) Howell, of Parsonsfield; one son, Edward D. Atwell, of Wolfeboro,; grandchildren, Heidi and Heath Howell, of Parsonsfield, and Kaitlyn and Kyra Atwell, of Wolfeboro; his mother, Dorothy Shephard Atwell Strange, of Belchertown, Mass.; six brothers, Melvin G. Atwell, of Amherst, Mass., Earle and Steven Atwell, of Belchertown, Mass., Richard Atwell, of Greenfield, Mass., and Gerald and Bruce Atwell, of North Carolina; and two sisters, Candace Czupkiewicz, of Belchertown, Mass., and Barbara J. Atwell, of New York.
Visiting hours were Monday. Funeral service will be today (Tuesday) at 3:30 p.m. at Hilltop Baptist Church, Route 160, East Parsonsfield. Pastor Robert E. Irish will officiate. Burial will be in Kezar Falls Burial Grounds. Donations may be made to Sacopee Rescue, PO Box 367, Parsonsfield, Maine 04047.
Doris Booth (Ebersole) Cote, 67, of Wolfeboro died Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro. She was born June 21, 1933 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Booth) Ebersole and lived in Havre De Grace, Md. many years before moving to Miami, Fla. where she lived for 20 years. She has lived in Wolfeboro since 1990 and in 1993 she became a member of the Huggins Hospital Adult Day Care where she made many special friends.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Greene of Wolfeboro, Donna Kelly of Middletown, Conn., and Deborah Montuoiri of East Haven, Conn.; five grandsons; two great grandchildren; her brother, Charles Ebersole of Boise, Idaho; and her sister, Pearl Alkire of Live Oak, Fla.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private.
Donations in her memory may be made to Huggins Hospital Adult Day Care Program, Wolfeboro.
CONWAY -- Harry Wayland French, 74, of Conway, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in North Conway.
He was born April 15, 1926, in Concord, N.Y., son of the late Chester C. and Mattilda E. (Manchester) French. He has lived in Conway since 1972, moving there from Fitchburg, Mass.
Mr. French owned H.W. French Artesian Well Co., in Massachusetts. After moving to Conway he worked as the manager of Aubuchon Hardware, retiring in 1994. From 1995 until October 2000 he worked part time for the Carroll County Mental Health Conway branch.
During World War II he served his country with the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 46 in Conway and the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks in Conway.
Pre-deceased by a brother Charles C. French and a sister Alice Soudani he leaves his wife, Dorothy (Quint) Sullivan French of Conway; three sons, Albert K. French of Fishers, Ind., Charles M. French of Conway, and Thomas W. French of Acton, Mass.; a daughter, Lois Marie French of Westford, Mass.; two stepsons, Michael E. Sullivan of Indianapolis, Ind., and Neal H. Sullivan of Columbia, Mo.,; three step-daughters, Maureen A. Sullivan of Helena, Mont., Janet R. Twomey of Ashland, Mass., and Nancy M. Sullivan of Dover; two sisters, Jean M. Grace of Wilmont, and Carol L. Crook of Watertown, Mass.; a step-brother, Philip Johnson of Sunapee; three step-sisters, Alice Hughes of Fla., Elsie Nichols of Worcester, Mass., and Elizabeth "Betty" McCann of Worcester, Mass.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be Friday, June 1, at 1 p.m. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
