Paul H. Chase
RYE - Paul H. Chase, 86, of 160 Sagamore Road, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 4, 1916, in Woonsocket, R.I., the son of Samuel and Hannah (Borstel) Chase. He had lived in Beverly Farms, Somerville and Arlington, Mass., before moving to Rye in 1990.
He was a graduate of English High School, Boston, and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Chase was a buyer for women's apparel for many years, retiring in 1978.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn M. (Panetta) Chase; two sons and their wives, Paul R. and Murphy Chase of Rye and Stephen M. and Janice Chase of Methuen, Mass.; three grandchildren; and one brother, Arthur Katz of West Roxbury, Mass.
Private services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Edward E. Elkins
RYE - Edward E. Elkins, 88, formerly of Hampton, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at Webster at Rye, where he had resided since 1997.
He was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Hampton, the son of the late Edward and Eva D. (Burt) Elkins.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Elkins was a laborer with the town of Hampton in the early 1970s. He had previously worked as a truck driver for the former F.W. Jewell Oil & Masonry Supply Company and as a clerk in the former First National Store.
He was a member of the Hampton's American Legion Post No. 35 for more than 50 years and the 470 Railroad Club.
He was an avid reader and railroad enthusiast.
He is survived by close friends, Harold and Patricia Simons, and their daughter Julie, of North Hampton.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in High Street Cemetery, Hampton.

George E. Ellison
NOTTINGHAM - George E. Ellison, 67, of Gile Road, died Friday, June 28, 2002, in Exeter Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1935, in Barrington, the son of George W. Ellison of Barrington and the late Evelyn (Elliott) Ellison and had resided in Nottingham for 41 years.
Mr. Ellison was employed at the Recycle Plant in Nottingham and had previously worked for George Green Lumber Mill and for Ivan Fogarty.
He enjoyed gardening and his morning and evening rides.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary (Heath) Ellison of Nottingham; two daughters and one son-in-law, Christine and Phil Amazeen of Nottingham and Debra O'Connor of Florida; three sons and their wives, George J. Jr. and Annette Ellison and Larry and Linda Ellison, all of Nottingham, and Robin and Lisa Ellison of Newmarket; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Ellison of Nottingham and Gordon Ellison of Barrington; four sisters, Shirley Libby of Rochester, Beverly Ann Lee of Barrington, Linda Ellison of Newmarket and Rosemary Worthler of Plymouth; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ellison will be cremated and there will be no services.

Frank E. Glynn
PORTSMOUTH - Frank E. Glynn, 78, of 928 South Road, died Friday, June 28, 2002, at the Edgewood Centre.
He was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Wakefield, Mass., the son of the late Charles and Estelle (Flagg) Glynn. He was raised in Wakefield and resided in Saugus, Mass., for many years before moving to Portsmouth.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific.
Mr. Glynn was a foreman at Parkwood Laminates of Wakefield for many years.
The widower of Florence (Bradish), who died in 1985, he is survived by five daughters, Susan Belli of Hampton, Donna McLaughlin of Wilmington, Mass., Patty Capps of Medford, Mass., Helen Jancosko of Lebanon, Maine, and Judy Maxwell of Saugus; two sons, William "Docka" Glynn of Norfolk, Va., and Frank "Tanka" Glynn of Boston; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Jacqueline Post.
Private services will be held at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton. Interment will be in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.

G. Michael Keohan
EXETER - G. Michael Keohan, 29, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, of a brain tumor at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, after lengthy treatments at the New England Medical Center, Boston.
He was born Gonzalo Michael, Feb. 24, 1973, in Columbia, South America. He came to his adoptive family, the Keohans, in 1976.
Mr. Keohan became a real estate agent in his family's real estate agency in Hampton Falls and became well-known in the local real estate community for his kindness and competence.
He enjoyed skiing, photography and graphic arts.
He is survived by his parents, Peter and Ann Keohan of Hampton Falls; one sister, Maria Keohan of Exeter; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
A reception will be held Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the family home, 1 River Road, Hampton Falls.
Leo Lascore Jr.
EXETER - Leo Joseph Xavier Lascore Jr., 64, of Linden Street, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Exeter Hospital.
He was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Brattleboro, Vt., the son of the late Leo J.X. and Ethel A. (Dwyer) Lascore Sr. He was raised in Brattleboro and moved to New Hampshire in 1963, living in Newmarket before moving to Exeter.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Mr. Lascore was employed by B.R. Jones Roofing Co. in Stratham and had been a roofer all of his life.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Dorothy Cail of Exeter; seven daughters, Lisa Watson of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Judith Pike of Hinsdale, Lena Lascore of Brattleboro, Tanya Wallace of Newmarket, Teresa Burleigh of Nottingham, Carolleen Tremblay of Venice, Fla., and Robin Cail of Newmarket; four sons, Leo Lascore Jr. of Lee, Wilfred Collins of Hutchinson, Kan., John Cail of Newmarket, and Michael Cail of Manchester; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Stephanie Starr of Florence, Mass. and Debra Vuerich of Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by two sons, Michael L. Lascore and Brian K. Lascore, who both died in 1968; one brother, Stephen Lascore; and two sisters, Marilyn Nolan and Karen Gauthier.
There are no calling hours.
Military graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Exeter Cemetery.

Walter M. MacCaughey
KENSINGTON - Walter Martin MacCaughey, 66, of 124 South Road, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at his daughter's home in Kensington.
He was born July 6, 1935, in Reading, Mass., the son of the late Raymond M. and Florence (Traver) MacCaughey. He resided in Lynnfield and Salem, Mass., most of his life moving to Kensington in the spring of 2002.
He was a graduate of Reading High School and a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. MacCaughey was a general manager at the former Grant's Department Store in Saugus, Mass.
He enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, fabricating model airplanes and collected trains.
He is survived by three daughters, April Hurlburt of Kensington, Cindy Boutilier of Rowley and Amy MacCaughey of Exeter; and five grandchildren.
A time of fellowship will be held Sunday, July 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the home of Cindy Boutilier, 5 Prospect St., Rowley, where an informal service will be held at noon.

Bernard J. Pelczar
NEWMARKET - Bernard J. Pelczar, 83, formerly of North Main Street, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at Riverside Rest Home, Dover.
He was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Newmarket the son of John and Stephania (Krolikowski) Pelczar. He was raised in Connecticut and had lived in Newmarket for many years.
He was educated in Connecticut schools.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the 9th Evacuation Hospital in North Africa.
Mr. Pelczar was an electrician at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1971.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 68, Portsmouth; the Disabled American Veterans Bellamy Chapter N0. 5; a 59-year member of the American Legion as a member of the American Legion Post in Rollinsford and as a former member of the Robert G. Durgin American Legion Post 67 in Newmarket.
Mr. Pelczar was a communicant of St. Mary Church, Newmarket.
He is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Linda and Patrick Lizotte of Milton, Cynthia and Arthur Keenan of Bangor, Maine, and Bernadette and Steven Warner of Epsom; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Janina Gagne of Bryant, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday in St. Mary Church with the Rev. John Finnigan as celebrant. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket.
Alexander Rossop
HAMPTON FALLS - Alexander Rossop, 88, of Hampton Falls, died Friday, June 28, 2002, in New England Medical Center, Boston.
He was born July 19, 1913, in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Stamatius and Irene (Mavraganis) Rossop.
He was a 1932 graduate of Lynn High School and attended Bloomfield, N.J., Vocational School, Western University and Boston School of Practical Art. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving with the quatermaster corps and Air Corps.
Mr. Rossop was a proof reader at the Boston Herald for 25 years.
He was a patron of the Greek church and a member of the Boston Typographical Union & International Typographical Union.
The widower of Maria (Alkides) Rossop, who died July 31, 2001, he is survived by two sons and their wives, Galen and Dawn Rossop of Lebanon, Maine, and John and Maraca Rossop of Hampton Falls; two daughters, Renee Rossop and her husband Loren of Lebanon and Margo and Ross Parker of West Newbury, Mass.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, John Rossop of Saugus; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, Mass.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by services at 11 a.m. in Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, Saints Peter & Paul, 154 Winter St., Haverhill, Mass.
