Albert A. Claridge
EPPING - Albert Arthur Claridge, 72, of 290 Calef Highway, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, in Exeter Hospital.
He was born March 17, 1929, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of the late Jesse and Hilda (Thompson) Claridge.
He was a 1948 graduate of Haverhill Trade School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Claridge was a mechanic for McGregor, Ryan Smith and Means Chevrolet.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Newton Fish and Game Club.
The widower of Nola D. (Chase) Claridge, who died in 1994, he is survived by two sons, Jess E. Claridge and his wife Barbara of Newmarket and Michael C. Claridge of Haverhill; three grandchildren; one sister, Betty Duffy of Hampton; and his longtime companion, Eleanor H. Chrigstrom.
He was predeceased by one son, Brian A. Claridge, who died in 1996.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Paul C. Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury, Mass. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery, Haverhill. Friends may call on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Romeo A. Fecteau
IPSWICH, Mass. - Romeo Albert Fecteau, 94, of 54 East St., died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, in Beverly Hospital, Beverly, Mass.
He was born Feb. 17, 1907, in Epping, the son of the late Placid and Mary (Morel) Fecteau and had resided in Ipswich since 1978.
Mr. Fecteau was formerly employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, was a chef at the Rockingham Hotel, Portsmouth, and at the Medfield State Hospital in Medfield, Mass., and for the North Shore Elder Services in Peabody, Mass.
He was a former member of the Franco-American Club, Beverly.
He is survived by two sons, William A. Fecteau Sr. of Milton and Albert R. Fecteau of Peabody; two daughters, Susan Berthiaume of Milton and Cindy Ramirez of Rochester; one daughter-in-law, Rosemary Fecteau of Ipswich, with whom he made his home; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Epping.
Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping.
Anthony M. Brucato
HAMPTON - Anthony M. "Tony" Brucato, 19, of 31 Presidential Circle, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002.
He was born June 12, 1982, in Dover, the son of Allan P. and Barbara A. (Burley) Brucato of Hampton.
Tony was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Dover, and was a sophomore at Boston University.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, a member of the White Mountain 4000 Foot Club and a member of the Quiz Bowl at Boston University.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Lynn A. Widger of Dover; his maternal grandparents, Leo and Barbara Burley of Stoughton, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton, with the Rev. George E. Ham, pastor, as celebrant. Nelson K. Ward was the organist and Janet Green was the soloist.
After cremation private interment will be in High Street Cemetery, Hampton.

June Selsor
EXETER - June Selsor, 82, of 20 Chestnut St., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002.
She was born June 12, 1919, in Willard, Mont., the daughter of Joseph and Florence Woodhouse.
She was raised in Letts and Muscatine, Iowa, and resided many years in Berkeley, Calif., and Granger, Ind., before coming to Exeter in 1998.
She was a 1944 graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Chicago.
Mrs. Selsor was a homemaker and lived in Nurnberg, Germany, from 1946 until 1950 and in many places as her husband's career in the U.S. Army required frequent relocations. While living in Germany she led the German Girls Club on skiing and hiking expeditions and helped rehabilitate German youth.
She traveled extensively and enjoyed skiing, hiking, walking, swimming, sewing, cooking, reading, gardening, and attending her grandchildrens' events.
She was the widow of Col. Mark E. Selsor, her husband of 53 years who died in 1997.
She was predeceased by one grandson, Dan Selsor, who died in 1995.
Mrs. Selsor is survived by one son and his wife, Tom and Carolyn Selsor of Granger, Ind.; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Frank Travis of Exeter and Lorraine and Vic Petzy of Kensington; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Woodhouse of Vero Beach, Fla., and Robert Woodhouse of Dubuque, Iowa; one sister, Fern Anaste of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held in Letts, Iowa, at a later date.

Dorothy M. Smith
EXETER - Dorothy Munson Smith, 91, of Hampton Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at SunBridge Rehabilitation Center after a period of failing health.
She was born April 27, 1910, in Paterson, N.J., the daughter of the late Sydney and Mary (Munson) Smith.
She resided in Exeter for three years, coming from Little Falls, N.J., where she had lived for 30 years.
Miss Smith was a stock broker in New York for several years.
She a member of Christ Church Episcopal, Exeter; a lifelong member of St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Little Falls; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one sister, Thelma Leeds of Rawley, N.C.; and one niece and her husband, Ann and William Winter of Exeter.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held in New Jersey in the spring.

Miriam S. Howland
EXETER - Miriam Sinclaire Howland, 91, of 17 Hampton Road, Langdon Place, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, after a brief illness.
She had resided in Norwood, Mass., Riverside, R.I., Dennis, Mass., and Peterborough.
She was a graduate of Norwood High School and attended Johnson & Wales Business School.
Mrs. Howland was manager of the main office of Peoples Bank and Trust Co., Providence, R.I.
She was a member of Dennis Union Church where she served as treasurer and deaconess for many years.
She was a volunteer at Exeter Hospital; a member of St. Andrew's Scottish Society of N.H.; the Exeter Garden Club; the Village Garden Club of Dennis; the Highland Light Scottish Society of Cape Cod; the Chatham Community Chorus; the Peterborough Historical Society; the Woman's Club of Peterborough; the Monadnock Chorus; and the Peterborough Garden Club.
She traveled extensively and enjoyed oil painting and needlepoint.
She was the widow of Herbert V. Howland, who died in 1982.
Mrs. Howland is survived by two sons, John S. Howland of Danville and Robert V. Howland of North East, Md.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert W. Sinclaire of Walpole, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.

John M. Chase
KENSINGTON - John M. Chase, 88, of Amesbury Road, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at the Edgewood Centre, Portsmouth.
He was born Aug. 9, 1913, in Exeter, the son of the late Arthur W. and Mabel (Sanborn) Chase. He resided in Hampton Falls before moving to Kensington in 1945.
He was a graduate of Hampton Academy and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving under General Patton.
Mr. Chase was employed by the Exeter Water Department for many years.
He was a member of Kensington Congregational Church and a charter member of the Kensington American Legion Post No. 105.
He enjoyed gardening and was well-known for his greenhouse.
The widower of Mildred L. (Perfect) Chase, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Mary Marcia Chase, and four sisters, Ethel Peterson, Gertrude Young, Mary Junkins and Madelyn Smith.
Funeral services were held Thursday in the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter. Spring burial will be in Village Cemetery, Kensington.

Therese A. D'Angelo
EXETER - Therese A. D'Angelo, 75, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at Exeter Healthcare, Inc.
She was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Amesbury, Mass., the daughter of the late Pierre and Claire (Roy) Nicol.
She had resided in Burlington, Mass., for 13 years, was a summer resident of Exeter for 17 years and wintered in Ridge Manor, Fla., for 15 years.
She was a 1944 graduate of St. Chretienne Academy, Salem, Mass., and received her bachelor of arts degree in education from Boston College and her master's degree from Rivier College, Nashua.
She entered the Order of the Sisters of St. Chretienne in 1947 and taught in elementary and middle schools in Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She retired from the Order in 1968 and continued teaching in Amesbury and Burlington, Mass., until her retirement in 1983.
Mrs. D'Angelo was an active communicant of St. Michael Church, Exeter, and St. Anne's Church in Ridge Manor, serving as cantor and organist at both churches for several years. She was a volunteer at Exeter Hospital and St. Anthony's School, San Antonio, Fla.; a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and was a substitute teacher.
She was a member of the Teachers Retirement Association; the Alouettes, a French club; and the Eighth Grade Club of 1940 both at Sacred Heart School, Amesbury.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Arthur P. D'Angelo; one brother, Norman Nichols of Amesbury; four sisters, Jeanette Nicol, Cecile Garand and Claire Nicol, all of Amesbury, and Rita Roy of California; four stepchildren, Patricia Meuse and Cheryl D'Angelo, both of Everett, Mass., Arthur D'Angelo of Newbury, Mass., and Deborah Butler of Haverhill, Mass.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Raymond, Henry, Alfred and Rene.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. in St. Michael Church, Exeter. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury.
