Mary C. Ammells
NEWTON - Mary C. (King) Ammells, 85, of 14A Packer Meadows, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, in Exeter Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1915, in Haverhill, Mass., the daughter of the late William and Della (Jellison) King.
Mrs. Ammells was an embosser for Goralmick & Swartz for most of her life.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Maureen Blake of Haverhill and Anne Haley of Sneads Ferry, N.C.; one grandson, Paul L. Kneeland of Mountain Top, Pa.; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elwood King and Lionel King, both of Haverhill; five sisters, Loretta Merrick and Margaret Chapinski, both of Haverhill, Anna Eaton of North Hampton, Arlene Warren of Acton, Maine, and Joanne Valley of Haverhill; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her only son, Baron L. Kneeland, who died Thanksgiving Day in 1999.
Private spring graveside services will be held in Maplewood North Parish Cemetery, Haverhill.

Florence N. Carbonneau
STRATHAM - Florence N. Carbonneau, 76, of Bunker Hill Avenue, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Greenfield, Mass., the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Kirk) Sparks.
She was a member of Stratham Community Church; the church's Ladies Auxiliary; the Stratham Unity Club; the Stratham 76ers; and the Exeter Senior Citizens Knitting Club.
The widow of Lester A. Carbonneau who died in April, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Lester and Catherine Carbonneau of Stratham and Jeffrey and Deanna Carbonneau of Tacoma, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday in Stratham Community Church with the Rev. Dr. J. Jermain Bodine officiating. Burial was in Maple Lane Cemetery, Stratham.

Albert W. Christian
WESTMORELAND - Albert W. Christian, 57, of 457 Spofford Road, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at his home.
He was born Feb. 15, 1943, in Peterborough, the son of Homer and Olivine (Cote) Christian. He was raised in Jaffrey and lived there until 1971. He had resided in Keene and Hampton, moving to Westmoreland last March.
He was educated in Jaffrey schools.
Mr. Christian was the meat sales coordinator for SuperValu. He had previously owned Christian Meats and More in Jaffrey and was employed by Wetterau, Inc., Cressy Docham Foods and Native Foods.
He was a craftsman woodworker and furniture maker.
He is survived by his wife, Joslyn (Perreault) Christian of Westmoreland; one son, Jason Christian of Hampton; three daughters, Cari Christian-Coates of Keene, Cathleen C. Watson of Westmoreland and Christine E. Fowler of Nottingham; a stepson, Todd Corneliusen of Lindenhurst, L.I.; five grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Christian of Groton, Conn., and Richard Christian of Manchester; three sisters, Beverly MacDonald of Keene and Bertha Record and Laura Pratt, both of Jaffrey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son. Albert L. "Albie" Christian, who died in August.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Monadnock View Cemetery.

Janet E. Dunleavy
EXETER - Memorial services for Janet Egleson Dunleavy of RiverWoods will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at 3 p.m. at RiverWoods at Exeter, 7 RiverWoods Drive, Exeter.
Mrs. Dunleavy died December 10, 2000.

Lorenda M. Felch
SEABROOK - Lorenda M. Felch, 75, of 127 South Main St., died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at her home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Seabrook, the daughter of the late Millwood and Charlotte (Dow) Dow and was a lifelong resident of Seabrook.
Mrs. Felch was a packer at the former Barr & Bloomfield Shoe Company and for the local shellfish industry for many years.
She was an active member of Rand Memorial Church and a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. She managed the lunchroom at Bingo sponsored by the Seabrook Fireman's Association, for the church, and later on her own for many years.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post No. 70.
The widow of William E. Felch, who died in 1987, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Stanley J. and Dorothy Saracy and Charles W. and Francine Felch, all of Seabrook; one daughter-in-law, Karen Felch of Seabrook; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Millwood Dow of Seabrook; one sister, Gloria Chase of Seabrook; one brother-in-law, Forrest Felch of Seabrook; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one son, Ralph E. Felch, who died in May.
Funeral services were held Monday in Rand Memorial Church, Seabrook. Burial was in Wildwood Cemetery, Seabrook.

Dorothy C. Lagassa
EXETER - Dorothy C. Lagassa, 85, of RiverWoods, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at the Lodge at RiverWoods.
She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Manitowoc, Wis., the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Schipper) Zabinski
Mrs. Lagassa was a diligent and creative craftsman and homemaker and a superb cook.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George A. Lagassa; one son and his wife, George K. and Parthenia Lagassa of North Hampton; one daughter, Barbara Lagassa Tack of Exeter; three grandchildren; and one sister, Eleanor E. Hanson of Medford, Ore.
Private burial was in Center Cemetery, North Hampton.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. in the Great Bay Room, 7 RiverWoods Drive, Exeter.

Eleanor L. Mooers
BRENTWOOD - Eleanor L. Mooers, 90, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at Exeter Healthcare.
She was born Dec. 24, 1910, in Farmington, the daughter of Earl and Ethel Edgerly.
She was a 1929 graduate of Farmington High School.
Mrs. Mooers was a retail clerk and factory worker for many years.
She was a devoted homemaker and craftswoman. She exhibited her knit garments, hooked and braided rugs at local fairs, consistently bringing home blue ribbons.
She served as an officer in her church; served as a Girl Scout leader; was worthy matron of Corinthian Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; an officer with the Brentwood Senior Citizens; and an active member of the Brentwood Ladies Circle.
She enjoyed gardening.
The widow of Robert Mooers, her husband of 59 years, she is survived by two sons, Robert L. Mooers Jr. of Bellingham, Wash., and Richard E. Mooers of Potsdam, N.Y.; two daughters, Doris Dennehy of Newmarket and Shirley Paone of Nashua; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Joan L. Connolly; one granddaughter, Sharon Connolly; and two sisters, Earline Roberts and Doris Bailey.
Memorial services were held Monday in Brentwood Baptist Church, Brentwood. Interment was in West Parish Cemetery, Plaistow.

Ramona Stevens
RAYMOND - Ramona Stevens, 79, of 4 Francesca Drive, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, in Elliot Hospital, Manchester.
She was born June 16, 1921, in Epping, the daughter of the late Wallace and Myrtle (True) Illsley and had resided in Raymond since 1956.
Mrs. Stevens taught school in Fremont, Brentwood and Deerfield retiring from the George B. White School in Deerfield after 32 years of teaching.
She was president of the Raymond Historical Society; a member of the Maple Wheadon Post 4479 Ladies Auxiliary; and a founding member of the Raymond Boosters Club.
She was active in town politics and was former chairman of the Raymond School Board.
She was an avid golfer.
The widow of Paul Stevens, who died in 1990, she is survived by one daughter and her husband, Linda and Fred Richard of Raymond; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one sister-in-law, Eunice Stilkey of Epping; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Perry Stevens and Peter Stevens.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond, with the Rev. J. Chandler Newton officiating. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.

Timothy C. Sullivan, D.M.D.
RYE BEACH - Timothy C. Sullivan, DMD, 92, of Central Road, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 3, 1908, in Manchester, the son of the Honorable Thomas F. and Katherine (Cronin) Sullivan. He had summered in Rye Beach since 1955, retiring here in 1988.
He was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and a 1934 graduate of the Harvard University School of Dentistry.
He served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve during World War II. He was the dental officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV-6) and was executive officer of the dental clinic at the Naval Air Station, Quonset Point, R.I. He also served the Selective Service by giving dental exams to inductees and received a commendation from President Truman for his service.
Dr. Sullivan practiced dentistry in Manchester for 54 years. He provided free dental service to many of Manchester's underprivileged children and was an early advocate of adding fluoride to the public water supply. He authored several dental articles.
He was former president of the Manchester Dental Society and was a founding member of the Tri-City Dental Society.
During his high school and college years he enjoyed ski jumping and exhibition diving and during the early 1920s became one of the original "Brownies" by diving 40 feet through a hole in the ice at the Amoskeag Quarry.
He enjoyed dancing and was an avid bird hunter, skier and golfer. He was a member of the Rye Beach Club; the Manchester County Club; and Abenaqui Country Club, where he served as chairman of the Greens Committee.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth A. (McClallen) Sullivan of Rye Beach; one son, Timothy C. Sullivan Jr. of Boston; two daughters, Elizabeth O'Leary of Lowell, Mass., and Mary-Ann Sullivan of Budapest, Hungary; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Central Road, Rye Beach.
