PETER P. BOSIAK
EPSOM – Peter P. Bosiak, 81, of Epsom died June 23, 2007, at Concord Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Allenstown to Stephen and Jadwiga Bosiak.
He lived in Epsom for most of his life. He was employed for many years by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. He served as an Epsom selectman and was in his third term.
Mr. Bosiak was an Army veteran and was a member of the Elwood Wells American Legion Post 112 of Epsom. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church and served as a Eucharistic minister. He also was a fourthdegree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11606 of Northwood-Pittsfield. He was a participant in the Epsom Circle Breakfast Club and spent much of his free time farming.
He was predeceased by a wife, Evelyn (Vogel) Bosiak, who died in 1990; a brother, Joseph Bosiak; and a sister, Ann Byk.
Family members include three sons, William J. Bosiak of Epsom, George “Tom” Bosiak of Epsom and Stephen P. Bosiak of Denver, N.C.; two daughters, Barbara Bailey of Loudon and Elizabeth Bosiak of Epsom; nine grandchildren; his special companion, Margaret Findlay of Epsom; a brother, Frank C. Bosiak Sr. of Gilmanton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

DORIS E. O’REILLY
CONCORD – Doris E. O’Reilly, 90, of Concord, and a former longtime resident of Horse Hill Road in Penacook, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Concord Hospital.
She was born March 1, 1917, in Dexter, Maine, to Walter and Inez (Gordon) Eaton. She attended local schools in Dexter and graduated from Fay High School in Dexter.
Mrs. O’Reilly came to Penacook in 1947. She worked for several years at Murray Farms. She was then employed by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department for more than 22 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a longtime member of the West Congregational Church in Concord, where she was active in the Women’s Fellowship and the We-Co-Acs.
Mrs. O’Reilly was a past master of the Riverhill Grange and a member of the Merrimack County Pomona Grange. She was also a hospice volunteer.
She was predeceased by her husband, M. George O’Reilly, in 2002. She was also predeceased by her five brothers, Maynard, Warren, Joseph, Wendell and Robert Eaton.
Family members include four daughters, Cathy Keaton and her husband, Joe, of Penacook, Jean Mayo and her husband, Al, of Camden, Del., Michele O’Reilly of Northfield, and Eileen Page and her husband, Royal, of Loudon; 13 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

GERALD S. HANCOCK
CONCORD – Gerald Stuart Hancock of Rockland Road in Concord died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton after a lengthy illness.
He was the son of Amanda (Lambert) Hancock and Herbert Hancock. Born in Franklin, Mr. Hancock lived most of his life in Concord. He graduated from Concord High School, the University of New Hampshire and Boston University Law School.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He was a noted committee chairman and advocate for people against special interests.
Mr. Hancock was a member of the city of Concord Planning Board and took an active interest in other community affairs.
He was a member of the New Hampshire Historical Society.
He was predeceased by brothers, Parker L. Hancock and William F. Hancock, predeceased him. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Hancock; a son, John S. Hancock; a grandson, John S. Hancock II; a sister, Mary Louise Hancock; and nieces and nephews.

DONALD D. DANIS
GOFFSTOWN – Donald Daniel Danis, 73, died suddenly Sunday, June 17, 2007.
He was born in Goffstown and lived there for most of his life. He was the son of Alfred A. and Olivine L. (Barbeau) Danis. Mr. Danis was the owner and operator of D.D. Danis Construction for many years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Navy.
An accomplished dancer, Mr. Danis was a dance instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studio. He enjoyed the outdoors and took many camping trips with his family over the years.
Family members include nine children, Kurt Danis of Colorado, Lynda Bowen of Oklahoma, Paul Danis of Washington, Mark Danis of Pembroke, Eva Chiesa of Candia, John Danis of Hooksett, James Danis of Hooksett, Jennifer Danis of Manchester and Derek Danis of Manchester; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Doris Jarosz of Laconia; a companion, Anne Pickard of Goffstown; and his former wife, who remained a close friend, Lesley A. Danis of Manchester.

ROSE E. ABBOTT
CONCORD – Rose E. Abbott, 71, died June 23, 2007, at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Suncook to Frank and Rose McConnell.
She worked as an instructor for the Institute of Professional Practice, working with the disabled for many years.
Mr. Abbott enjoyed gardening, animals, feeding her birds, going to the beach, cookouts and card games. Mostly, she was a loving mother and nana and was loved by everyone.
She was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Donald and Melvin McConnell.
Family members include a son, Russ Abbott; a daughter-inlaw, Shann, of Concord; a daughter, Rayleen Musto of Concord; a granddaughter, Katherine Rose Mosher of Concord; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a close family friend, Sarah Bailey of Boscawen.

HERMAN PETER FRANCO
WEARE – Herman Peter Franco, 77, of 215 N. Stark Highway, Weare, died Aug. 5, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 6, 1930, in North Easton, Mass., to Thomas and Emily (Tavares) Franco.
Mr. Franco was a veteran of the United States Army in the Korean conflict. He was affiliated with the American Legion Post 65, in Weare, and was a carpenter by trade.
Family members include his wife of 53 years, Doris M. (Carvalho) Franco of Weare; two sons, Kenneth J. Franco of Weare and Mark T. Franco of Nashua; four daughters, Cindy Schneider of Salem, Mass., Lori McWha of Greenfield, Donna Renshaw of Weare and June Viola of Stoughton, Mass.; two sisters, Hilda A. Franco of North Easton, Mass., and Mary Sullivan of Brockton, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. GEORGE ZIAKAS
BEDFORD – George Ziakas, 79, died July 30, 2007, at his home after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Manchester, to John and Maria Ziakas.
For many years, Mr. Ziakas owned and operated the Chevron service station on Brown Avenue.
He was a pilot and owned his own plane for several years.
Mr. Ziakas enjoyed listening to all kinds of music. Spanish music was his favorite.
Family members include his wife of 57 years, Medora R. Ziakas of Bedford; six daughters, Linda M. Tolios of Weare, Maria A. Vanasse of Deerfield, Koren J. Maccubbin of Dunbarton, Gina Mailhot of Florida, Kim A. Prokopik of Auburn and Nadine C. Ponzoni of Manchester; a son, George G. Ziakas of Manchester; four sisters, Vasileke Marquis of Manchester, Stella Jackson of Londonderry, Niki Mouratidis and Pauline Eklund, both of Florida; two brothers, James Ziakas of Hooksett and Louis Ziakas of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

MARJORIE STACK
GOFFSTOWN – Marjorie Stack, 87, of 29 Center St., died July 16, 2007, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Worcester, Mass., to Olaf and Helen (Curtis) Nelson. She and her husband lived for many years in Millbury, Mass., and later they divided their time between a summer home in Sutton, Mass., and a winter home in Englewood, Fla. She lived in Goffstown for the past several years as a resident of Bel-Air Nursing Home
Mrs. Stack was predeceased by her husband in 2001. She was a devoted wife who spent many years caring for her husband, Martin F. Stack, during his declining health.
Family members include two sisters, Evelyn Bourassa of Dunbarton; and Madeline Mazzone of Maynard, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

EXERINA NOTIDIS
PENACOOK – Exerina L. Notidis, 95, of Brodeur Street, died July 31, 2007, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association’s Hospice House.
She was born in Concord to the late William and Lydia (Dupuis) Giguere. She attended Concord schools.
Mrs. Notidis worked as a finisher for Briar Pipe for more than 15 years. She also worked at the Giant Store in Penacook.
She enjoyed going out to dinner and visiting with friends.
Family members include her husband of 53 years, Peter Notidis of Penacook; a brother, Maurice A. Giguere of Penacook; and nieces and nephews.

JOSEPHINE NYE
AUBURN – Josephine Nye, 96, died July 23, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare in Bedford.
She was born Dec. 15, 1910, in Manchester to Albert and Anna (Marek) Kula. She lived most of her life in Auburn and was a waitress at the former Lakeside Spa in Manchester but mostly she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Nye loved her family, grandchildren and great-granddaughters, flower gardening and reading.
She was predeceased by her husband, George I. Nye Jr., in 1976.
Family members include a daughter, Nancy Rainville of Auburn; a son, Gerald Nye of Auburn; four grandchildren; a sister, Stella Beliveau of Manchester; and a brother, John Kula of Billerica, Mass.
