YVETTE E. CHAPUT
BEDFORD – Yvette E. Chaput, 90, of Bedford, died Jan. 27, 2007, after a lengthy period of declining health.
She was born Nov. 21. 1916, in Hooksett to Charles and Florida (Brouillard) Marier. She lived in Manchester most of her life and in Bedford for several years.
Mrs. Chaput was co-owner, office manager and bookkeeper for Chaput Oil and Service Co. for 22 years.
She was a member of St. Anne Sodality at Sacred Heart Church for more than 50 years, holding different offices. She was very active in the ACFA and chairman of many functions.
Mrs. Chaput loved to sew, knit, crochet and go dancing at the Carousel Ballroom. She liked to entertain family and friends and enjoyed telling jokes and playing cards. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She always found the time to help others and will be remembered as a loving and caring person.
Our family would like to extend a very special thank you to the many caregivers who helped Yvette live the last 3.5 years of her life in peace and comfort.
Thank you to the staff at Villa Crest and Hospice Care and the many people who touched her life during the last years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rosaire “Ross” U. Chaput, who died Sept. 9, 2004.
Family members include; two daughters, Pauline Jobin, and Anita Larochelle, both of Manchester; a son, Norman Chaput, of Litchfield; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jeanne Hartford Peacock of Hooksett, and Florence Therriault and Rita Foss, both of Manchester; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

WILFRID J. CLOUTIER
GOFFSTOWN – Wilfrid J. Cloutier, 97, died Jan. 23, 2007, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a brief illness.
He was born July 23, 1909, in Manchester to Joseph and Clarina (Boulanger) Cloutier.
He attended St. Augustin School and was an area resident for 88 years.
Mr. Cloutier worked 10 years as a shoe pattern designer, 37 years in his general store at the corner of Pinard and Mast roads, and then as owner W.J. Cloutier TV Center Inc.
He was a 40-year charter member and past president of the Pinardville Lions Club. He was also a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and the Goffstown Credit Union.
Mr. Cloutier served as chairman of the Democratic Party and was also a Goffstown selectman in 1965.
He was a communicant of St. Edmond Parish for 84 years. In addition he was a member of the League of 1,000 Men of the Precious Blood Monastery.
Mr. Cloutier and his wife traveled extensively throughout Europe, South America and Africa.
They wintered in Florida for 27 years, where he was very active in a variety of sports. While in Florida, he received the Man of the Year award by the local men’s club in 1995.
Mr. Cloutier was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Germaine (Constant) Cloutier, who died in 2003.
Family members include children, Constance Mercier of Goffstown, Richard Cloutier of Houston, Cecile Gaigals of North Reading, Mass., Celine Carpenter of Winthrop, Maine, Claudette Benavitch of Buena Vista, Va., and Colette Howarth of Warwick, R.I.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

HELEN P. DALEY
CONCORD – Helen P. Daley, 91, a longtime resident of Pillsbury Street in Concord, died Jan. 23, 2007, at Presidential Oaks Nursing Home in Concord.
She was born in Warner to the late Fred and Esther (Melvin) Harris. She was a graduate of Simonds Free High School in Warner and the former Concord Business College in Concord.
Mrs. Daley was a member of the Penacook “Aces” basketball team and enjoyed playing tennis.
She was an avid sports fan.
She retired as head teller at New Hampshire Savings Bank in 1977, after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Daley was a member of the Warner Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, John P. Daley, who died in 1964; and a sister, Florence Harris.
Family members include two sons, Richard H. Daley and his wife, Anne, of Manchester and William J. Daley and his wife, Diane, of Utica, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

NORMAN JOSEPH GUAY
GOFFSTOWN – Norman Guay, 51, died suddenly Dec. 21, 2006, at his home in Goffstown.
He was raised by his loving parents, William and Florence Guay in Manchester.
Mr. Guay loved fishing, hunting and was a remote control plane enthusiast and member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the Concord Skyhawks R/C Club.
He is truly missed.
At the request of his family, a celebration of life will take place this spring. A formal notice will be posted inviting Mr. Guay’s family and friends to attend.
DONALD F. LAFOND
CONCORD – Donald F. Lafond, 54, of Concord, died Jan. 24, 2007, at Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association’s Hospice House.
He was born March 19, 1952, in Manchester to Harold Lafond and Rose Vanasse. He was educated in the Manchester school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School Central.
He received his associate’s degree from Hesser College.
Prior to his illness, Mr. Lafond was a maintenance technician with American Water Service UII.
He loved baseball and played in various local leagues throughout his life. He had played Little League, Babe Ruth league, and American Legion Post 79 baseball, as well as for Central High and, most recently, the Manchester Sunset league.
Mr. Lafond was an avid hunter, bingo player and fisherman.
He placed second in the 2005 Lake Winnipesaukee Rotary Ice Fishing Derby. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Family members include his wife, Dianna (Peloquin) Lafond of Concord; sons, Larry Ireland Jr. of Weare and Jonathan Lafond of Concord; daughters, Lisa Rein of Florida and Karina Lafond of Cape Coral, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; his father, Harold Lafond of Manchester; a brother, Richard Lafond of Florida; sisters, Pauline Begin of Newport and Therese Tyeryar of Maryland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

SCOTT C. JOUBERT
GOFFSTOWN – Scott C. Joubert, 42, of Goffstown, died unexpectedly Jan. 24, 2007.
He was born April 25, 1964, in Kittery, Maine, to Ted and Lenore “Lenny” (Tomkinson) Joubert. He was a graduate of Winnacunnett High School Class of 1982.
Mr. Joubert’s job as a bartender was his hobby. He was skilled in his trade and appreciated the many friends he made through his work. He spent 12 years at Banana’s Bar and Grill in Portsmouth, and most recently at Nutfield Steak and Ale House.
He was a sports enthusiast and avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. His greatest passion was that for his family. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father who wanted nothing more than to spend time with his family.
Mr. Joubert was a kind and generous man who always had a warm smile to share. His friends were an important part of his life and he enjoyed entertaining for them.
Family members include his wife of 10 years, Brigitte (Poulin) Joubert; a son, Teddy Joubert of Goffstown; two daughters, Noelle Joubert of Merrimack and Chelsea McAlduff of Goffstown; his parents, Ted and Lenny of Hampton; and a sister, Kelly Beaupre of Hampton; two nephews; a niece and several cousins.

ROBERT U. AREL
CANDIA – Robert U. Arel, 71, died Jan. 24, 2007, at the Hospice House in Concord.
He was born July 20, 1935, in Manchester to Laurier and Lucille (Guadette) Arel. He was a resident of Candia for the past 35 years. Prior to this, he resided in Manchester.
Mr. Arel was employed as a forklift operator for 28 years at Osram Sylvania.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Mr. Arel enjoyed woodworking, ATVs, motorcycling, fishing and hunting.
Family members include his wife of 35 years, Dolores A. (Hebert) Arel; daughters, Susan Ratliff of Methuen, Mass., Linda Davis of Hooksett, Judy Sevigny of Allenstown and Karen Lazott of New Boston; stepsons, Robert Rousseau Jr. of Candia, Felix Rousseau of Goffstown, Richard Rousseau of Candia and David Rousseau of Raymond; stepdaughters, Doris Brideau of Manchester, Marie Sullivan of Auburn and Shirley Lambert of Northwood; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Paulette Pouliot of Manchester, Marcelle Bernier of Virginia Beach, Va., and Denise DeBrou of Saskatchewan; nieces and nephews.

RAY R. DIONNE
BEDFORD – Ray R. Dionne, 38, died Jan. 26, 2007, in Bedford.
He was born May 29, 1968, in Manchester to Donald and Elaine (Grenier) Dionne. He attended Bedford schools and graduated from Trinity High School in 1986.
Mr. Dionne worked at Donovan Equipment in the parts department for seven years. He was most recently employed as vice president of Felix Septic. He worked there for the past 13 years.
In his youth, he enjoyed playing hockey and had played on the Trinity varsity hockey team. He was active in a variety of activities, including riding dirt bikes and later motorcycles with his brother. He had an affinity for everything on wheels with a motor.
Mr. Dionne was a special person and had many friends. “Ray Ray” was the “go-to” guy.
Family members include his mother, Elaine Dionne of Bedford; a brother, Donn Dionne of Bedford; a maternal grandmother, Jeannette Grenier of Manchester; an aunt, Annette Saulnier of Merrimack; a niece, Alexandra Dionne of Bedford; and several cousins.

MARGERY A. OSBERG
BEDFORD – Margery A. Osberg, 94, died Jan. 20, 2007, at Harborside Health Care in Bedford.
She was born Jan. 29, 1912, in Manchester to Carl O.H. and Annie (Peterson) Osberg. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1933 from Simmons College with a master’s degree in social work, University of Chicago with a master’s degree in social studies, and from Smith College with a degree in professional advanced studies.
She had a long and successful career as a social worker in Berlin at the Women’s Penal Institution in Framingham, Mass., and the American Red Cross, and she was an assistant director at Austin Riggs in Lenox, Mass.
While studying at the University of Stockholm, she developed a lasting friendship with the family of the Swedish admiral and assisted in translating Swedish books. She returned to New Hampshire and worked for 20 years as a psychiatric social worker at the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester.
She was generous with her talents, supervising many social work students, supporting New Horizons and multiple other charities. She was a member of Bethany Covenant Church, the Manchester Historical Society, the Bedford Historical Society, the New Hampshire Symphony and the Bedford library.
Family members include many cousins.
