Nancy M. Cunningham
Somersworth: Nancy M. Cunningham, 65, of 3 Pinecrest Drive, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 16, 2004, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
Born September 11, 1938, in Augusta, ME, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Cecile (Vigue) Mullen.
She was employed by Eastern Air Devices for 30 years. She was a member of the Dover Baptist Church, the "Marantha" Senior Group and the Seacoast Irish Cultural Association. She enjoyed spending summers at "Mousam Lake" and especially loved her cat Zeus and her dog Zoya.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Percy M. Cunningham of Somersworth; two daughters, Becky Landry and her husband L. Gerard of Somersworth and Cindy Cunningham of Rochester; and two granddaughters, Amanda and Alissa Landry; one brother, John L. Mullen and his wife Verna; several nieces and nephews.

James "Jimmy" Koufos
James "Jimmy" Koufos, 75 years, of Bernier Street, Somersworth, NH died Tuesday, April 27 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH.
Jimmy was born on May 30, 1928 in Somersworth, NH a son of Christos and Alexandria Papakriste Koufos. He was a graduate of Somersworth High School. Jimmy was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Army. After the Service, Jimmy went on to work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until retirement.
Jimmy served as the Post Commander of the American Legion in Somersworth. He was also a member of AHEPA.
Jimmy enjoyed life. He loved his family. In their words: "(He) Leaves behind 2 grandchildren who he greatly loved, Nicholas who he often compared to his son Chris, a busy little boy full of energy and love, and Emily, his beautiful little Emmie he always called her." Jimmy also loved visiting with his friends and neighbors, sharing a beer and swapping stories.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Ann of 40 years, sons Dean Koufos of Somersworth and Christos Koufos and his wife Tracy of Loudon, NH; sisters Mary Pappey of Redding, MA and Freda and his brother-in-law Harry Sakas of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; 2 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Alice R. Laliberte
Somersworth - Alice R. Laliberte, 96, died Friday April 23, 2004 at the Dover Rehabilitation and Living Center after a long illness. Alice was born in Tingwick, PQ Canada on October 24, 1907 and was the daughter of George and Lea (Levasseur) Roberge.
Alice had lived in Somersworth since 1936 and had lived for over forty years at 256 High Street. Prior to living in this community she had resided in Sanford, Maine.
Before her retirement, she had been employed as a stitcher with Maybury Shoe Company. Alice was a communicant of St. Martin Catholic Church where she held membership in the Sacred Heart Society and St. Anne's
Family members include a sister, Elizabeth Quinn of Alfred, Maine, several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Sister Marie Ange Roberge and by six brothers, Lucien, Wilfred, George, Arthur, Joseph and Frank Roberge. Her Husband Alfred A. Laliberte pre deceased her in 1985.
The Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street Somersworth, NH has been entrusted with final arrangements.
Albert J. "Buzz" Letendre
Somersworth - Albert J. "Buzz" Letendre, 87, of 363 Main Street died Thursday April 22, 2004 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital after a period of failing health.
Albert was born on November 1, 1916 in Somersworth, NH and was the son of J. Basil and Celina (Pare) Letendre. He was raised in Somersworth and was a graduate of St. Martin Academy. "Buzz" attained his G.E.D. at the age of 48 an accomplishment that he was very truly proud of. Albert was a life long resident of this community.
During WW II "Buzz" served with Company F of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment attaining the rank of Tech. Sergeant. On his return from the war, Albert resettled in Somersworth and was associated with the former Vic's Diner, Bunny's Lunch and Cook's Lunch. He also served as a chef with Rainbow Gardens. "Buzz" was also employed for just over ten years with General Electric as a line inspector.
He was proud of his war service and was a life member of the 101st Airborne Association. He also held current membership with the American Legion, Post 69 of Somersworth and with the Veteran's of Foreign Wars of Somersworth.
Family members include his wife of 58 years, Joan (Gagne) Letendre of Somersworth. Three daughters, Joyce Letendre of Williamsburg, VA, Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) Bill of Springvale, Maine and Kim Letendre of Somersworth. He also leaves a sister, Laurette Bernier of Berwick, Maine and 7 grandchildren, Morgan and Eban Carr, Sara, Abby and Matthew Bill and Addison and Zac Leblanc. A Great grandchild Lauryn O'Connor. Other close family members include Dan Lapointe and his children Stephanie and Danielle Lapointe all of Somersworth.
A sister Germaine Castonguay and a brother Arthur "Buzzie" Letendre predeceased him.
The family respectfully declines flowers.

William E. Rexroad
Somersworth, NH - William E. Rexroad, 74, of 14 Myrtle St. died Saturday April 17, 2004 at his home after a period of failing health.
Born in Morgantown, West Virginia on September 28, 1929 the son of Delbert C. and Alma (Gainer) Rexroad. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. A former resident of Dorchester, MA he came to Somersworth in 1973 and was a member of the Dover Lodge of Elks #184and the Loyal Order of Moose #443 of Dover. He enjoyed boating.
Bill was an Air Conditioner and Refrigeration contractor and owned and operated Air Care of New Hampshire.
He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Agnes (Keady) Rexroad, five daughters Jane Rexroad of Somersworth, Mariann Boyd of Barrington, Nancy Maher of Ashland, MA, Cherie Edris and Elaine Rexroad-Ratay both of Somersworth, ten grandchildren Krista, Bridget, Kate, Jillian, Ryan, Sean, Colleen, Nick, Andrew and Courtney, also a great-grandson Damion, a brother Roger Rexroad of Indianapolis, Indiana and nieces and nephews.
A daughter Colleen Ballard who died in 1979 predeceased him.

Theresa Ann Dobson
SOMERSWORTH - Theresa Ann Dobson, 73, of Parkview Terrace, died Saturday, May 29, peacefully, in the loving arms of her sons.
She was born in Boston on Sept. 30, 1930, the daughter of Annie Rocchi and Thomas McDonough.
She was a compassionate, warm and loving woman whose greatest joy was spending time with her children and extended family. An avid reader, other joys included baking, old movies, writing stories, hot cocoa and fall foliage. Theresa inspired and touched the hearts of all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her husband, Edwin A. Dobson; her daughter, Susan Randall; her grandson, Mark Allen Randall; three sisters, Madeline Clifford, Mary "Madie" Dobbins and Ann Velund, and two brothers, Thomas McDonough and John McDonough.
She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Cicirelli and his wife Kelli of Strafford; Stephen Cicirelli and his life partner Bill of Wells, Maine; Edwin Dobson and his wife Denise of Barrington; Daniel Dobson and his wife Sharon of Carabelle Beach, Fla., and James Dobson of South Berwick, Maine. Other survivors include six granddaughters, six grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
She leaves behind her siblings, Alice Reynolds of Indiana; Frances "Frankie" Fritz of Everett, Mass., and Sarah "Sally" Williams of Oregon.
Other family members include many beloved nieces and nephews.

Alice Gosselin
SOMERSWORTH - Alice B. Gosselin, 86, of 122A High St., died Sunday, June 13, 2004, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover after a sudden illness.
She was born in Dover on May 3, 1918, the daughter of Aurelien and Alice (Dube) Chenard. She was educated in Dover schools and had resided there until her marriage to Maurice Gosselin in 1942, when she moved to Somersworth.
She had been employed at Dover Shoe Co. for many years and later at Roberts Shoe Co.
She was a devoted communicant of St. Martin Church.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Maurice Gosselin of Somersworth; a son, Richard Gosselin and his wife, Joan, of Somersworth; four grandchildren, Theresa St. Laurent of Stratham, Ronald Gosselin of Somersworth, Maurice Gosselin of Biddeford, Maine, and Robert Gosselin of New Durham; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Melanson of Connecticut; nieces and nephews.

Rita Lord
KENNEBUNK, Maine - Rita V. Lord, 83, formerly of 413 Main St., Somersworth, N.H., died Monday, May 24, 2004, at the Kennebunk Nursing Center, Kennebunk, Maine.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1920, in Rochester, N.H., and was the daughter of Peter and Anne (DeBolis) Burbank. She was raised in Gonic, attending the Gonic School. She had been a resident of the Somersworth-Rochester area most of her life.
Prior to retirement, she had worked at the Spaulding Fiber Co.
Family members include one sister, Mrs. Rolph (Cecile) Vogelmann of Somersworth, N.H., and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a grandson, Dale Donnell; by a brother, George Burbank; by her daughter, Sandra Lord and by her husband, George J. Lord, who died in October of 1999.
Susan Jean (Clark) McNall
Somersworth - Susan Jean McNall (Clark), 51 of 9 Lil-Nor Ave. died peacefully Monday June 21, 2004 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Susan was born in Newburyport, Mass. on April 23, 1953 the daughter of Joseph E. and Barbara Irene (Sullivan) McNall. She attended the Kelly School in Newburyport and Newburyport High School, class of 1971, where she was a member and president of the Drafting Association.
Susan was a member of the International Executive Housekeeping Association and served two years as president of the Granite State Chapter of the Housekeeping Association and also served eight years as secretary, where she spent time coordinating a training manual for a Rochester Nursing Home. She was also a CASA volunteer and a foster mother. She loved to sit by the beach, go bicycling and camping.
Susan was Director of House Keeping at Exeter Health Resources.
Along with her parents, Susan is survived by her son Stephen Michael Clark and his significant other, Mindy Desharnais of Rochester, NH, her daughter Jennifer Robin Clark of Somersworth, NH, her two sisters; Patricia Stone and her husband Mark of Winchester, Mass. and Julie Daigle of Hanson, Mass., a brother-in-law Al LaMontagne of Nashua, NH, two grandchildren; Nikita Clark and Evan Clark and several nieces and nephews.
Susan was predeceased by her sister Joanne LaMontagne who died in 1998.

Gemma F. Bisson
Somersworth- Gemma F. Bisson, 77, formerly of High Street died Feb. 25, 2004 at Riverside Rest Home, Dover, where she had resided for the past 7 years.
Born in South Berwick, Me. on Sept. 20, 1926 she was the daughter of Hector & Aurelie (Pelletier) Desjardins. She had lived most of her life in Somersworth and was the widow of former city councilman Jules Bisson who died in 1987.
She was an active member of the DAV Auxiliary. She served as a past commander of Chapter 15 in Somersworth, was a past State Commander, and was recently active in the Dover Chapter.
Gemma was a communicant of St. Martins Church and was a former member of the Parish Council.
She was also active in local politics and was a former Somersworth Lioness.
The nursing staff at Riverside was very good to her and she loved them all.
She was predeceased by her brothers Gerard, Hector and Mark Desjardins and her sister Laurence Beauchesne.
Survivors include 2 sons, Henri Bisson of Anchorage, Alaska and Ronald Bisson of Contoocook, NH; 1 daughter, Elaine Jones of Grand Island, Fl.; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Martha April of Citrus Hills, Fl.; several cousins, and many nieces & nephews.

Ida Chabot
Somersworth - Ida Chabot, 90, formerly of 67 West High Street, died
Sunday March 7, 2004 at The Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center of
Rochester.
Ida was born in Somersworth on December 13, 1913 and was the daughter of
Edmond and Rose Anna (Poulin) Aubert. She was raised in Somersworth and
graduated from St. Martin Academy.
For more than 20 years, Ida had owned and operated Ida’s Shoppe in
Somersworth. After closing the store she had been employed with several
area shoe shops. She was a communicant of St. Martin Catholic Church and
held life membership with the American Legion Ladies Aux. Post 69 of
Somersworth.
Ida loved family, and truly enjoyed her nephews and nieces; she will be
truly missed by all of them. Family members include two brothers, Wilfrid
Aubert of Somersworth and Roland Aubert of Daytona Beach, FL. Three
sisters, Mrs. Antoinette Morin of Shingle Springs, Ca; Mrs. Armand (Rita)
Dubois and Mrs. Robert (Yvette) Gagnon both of Somersworth. Many nephews
nieces and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Lionell, Alfred, Armand, and
Rene Aubert. Her husband Clovis G. Chabot predeceased her in 1988.
It was Ida’s request that there be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am in St. Martin Catholic
Church W. High and Maple Street, Somersworth with Rev. Aaron Pfaff, Pastor
as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
