BROWNFIELD, Maine -Angela Marie Robblee, 27, died unexpectedly on Sept. 15, 2001, at her home.
She was born Jan. 4, 1973 in Bridgton a daughter of Edward M. Robblee and Nancy A. Quimby Walker.
Ms. Robblee was educated in Brownfield and Brewer schools, received her GED from Penobscot Job Corps of Bangor and graduated from Central Maine Technical College in Auburn in May 2001 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and popular science.
She worked at Good Neighbors of Bridgton since graduating in May.
She enjoyed buying things and taking care of all aspects of her children's needs, working and playing with her computer and going on line on the Internet.
Surviving are her father, Edward M. Robblee, of Holden; mother, Nancy A. Quimby Walker, Brownfield; step-mother, Barbara King, Holden; two daughters, Kari L. Hansen, Brownfield, and Krystina M. Robblee, Brownfield; one son, Jasson K. Spears Jr.; Brownfield; two sisters, Rhonda Robblee, Brownfield, and Barbara Scholefield, Bucksport; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Neal & York Funeral Home, 12 High Street, Kezar Falls, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Pastor Denis Dunn will officiate. Burial will be in Burnt Meadow Cemetery, Brownfield.
John Brett Cahill, 56, of Wellesley, Mass., died Sept. 11, 2001, in the crash of United Airlines Flight 175 at the World Trade Center in New York.
Cahill owned a home in Linderhof in Glen for 23 years and enjoyed skiing Wildcat.
Born in Brookline, Mass., he attended St. Mary's grammar school in Brookline and graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury in 1962. He graduated from Boston College in 1966, where he earned his bachelor of science degree in accounting. He earned an MBA at Suffolk University.
Mr. Cahill joined Xerox in 1967. He began in the sales training department and became a senior executive manager in Boston.
Later in his career, while he was completing international assignments, his family resided in Rio de Janeiro and Henley, England.
He leaves his wife of 19 years, Sharon (O'Carroll), and two sons, Brett and Sean, all of Wellesley; his mother, Hannah (Sullivan), of Brookline; and three sisters, Alice Beaton, of Braintree, Eileen Keenan of Arlington and Patricia Hoban of Needham.
Memorial services were held Monday in Wellesley.
John E. Baston, 49, of Main Street, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 17, 1951 in Haverhill, Mass. and attended schools in Groveland, Mass., later also attending trade school in Haverhill. John had worked as a machinist for Valley Screw for several years.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Gonyer) Baston of Center Ossipee; his children John E. Baston of Haverhill, Jeremy A. Baston of Haverhill, Rhonda Marie Baston of Lawrence, Mass., Krystle Lynn Baston of Center Ossipee, Kenneth W. Grant of Ossipee, Shawn W. Grant of Haverhill, Timothy A. Grant of Haverhill, and Thomas Sargent of Gloucester, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Richard Alan Baston of Sacramento, Calif.; his mother, Patricia Baston of Center Ossipee; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee. Graveside services will be Tuesday following the calling hours in the Chickville Cemetery in Center Ossipee.
Mary Harriet (Tripp) Tobin, 83, of Manchester, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, after a short stay at Hospice House in Concord.
She was born in Intervale on Aug. 1, 1918, to Mark and Mary (Rogers) Tripp. She was the last surviving of their nine children. She was the widow of Frank Tobin, who died in 1988. They were married for 50 years.
She lived in Ridgewood, N.J., Wilton, Conn., Chocorua, NH, Pepperell, Mass., and Manchester, NH.
Mrs. Tobin is survived by her daughters, Carol Nebes, of West Townsend, Mass., Judith Underwood, of New Hampshire, and Gwen Pote, of Albuquerque, NM; a stepson, Frank Tobin, of California; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many loving friends.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Chocorua Cemetery, with the Rev. William R. Stockhaus officiating.

Sadie Mary Rodgers, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, of natural causes at Merriman House in North Conway.
She was born in Lawrence, Mass., where she lived most of her life until 1993, when she moved to North Conway.
Mrs. Rodgers' greatest joy was spending time with her family. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence and Our Lady of the Mountains parish in North Conway.
She was the widow of William Rodgers and leaves one daughter, Joyce Rodgers of Andover, Mass.; two grandsons, Daniel Rumore of North Andover, Mass. and Jeffrey Rumore of Florida; a sister, Rose Hannagan of Virginia; and four great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held on Friday with burial at a family plot in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, Mass.
LOVELL - Mervin M. Bresette, 67, of Route 5 in Lovell, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at his home following a long illness.
He was born in West Bridgton, the son of John and Frances Durgin Bresette. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and spent four months in the Antarctic. He had lived in Lovell for many years and was a self-employed truck driver. He also drove for Bailey Manufacturing Co., and for Dick Graves. He formed the Lovell Boy Scout Troop 155 and was the scout leader for 13 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking, canoeing, and he knew all the star constellations.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Harmon Bresette, of Lovell; one son, Timothy Bresette, of Lovell; five daughters, Chyral Farrington and Carol A. Walker, both of Lovell, Kelly L. Smith and Annette M. Lusky, both of Fryeburg, and Tammy B. Gardner, of Freedom; one brother, Dexter Bresette, and one sister, Katherene Saunders, both of Lovell; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Doris Kilgore, and a brother, Norman Bresette.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at the North Bridgton Cemetery. Rev. Violet Eastman will officiate.

Winnifred (White) Houghton, 86, of Natick, Mass., formerly of Intervale and Wolfeboro, died Aug. 29, 2001, at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick.
Born in Mars Hill, Maine, the daughter of Raymond Lee White an Zella Kitchen White, she spent most of her early years in Waterville, Maine, and after her marriage lived in Shreveport, La., for four years; Westwood, Mass., for seven years; and Hinsdale, Ill., for two years; before moving to Intervale in 1950. Living in Intervale for 47 years, Mrs. Houghton, with her recently deceased husband, Charles Edward Houghton Jr., owned and operated the former Holiday Inn (now The Forest) for 26 years before retiring to their home on the knoll behind the Inn. In 1998, they moved to Wolfeboro, where they lived until the death of Mr. Houghton in 2000. For the past year, Mrs. Houghton had been a resident of the Mary Anne Nursing Home, close to her daughter in Natick.
Mrs. Houghton graduated from Waterville High School in 1932 and Colby College in Waterville in 1936. At Colby College, Mrs. Houghton was the president of the Alpha chapter of Sigma Kappa sorority, as well as accompanist to the men's and women's glee clubs. She was one of the organizers and founding members of the Westwood (Mass.) Ski Club. She was also an officer of the local chapter of the American Association of University Women. She was a director of the Eastern Slope Region Inc., and a board member of the Eastern Slope Regional Airport. Her greatest love was her music, and all who knew her enjoyed listening to her talented improvisations and varied repertoire on her organ and piano.
She leaves two children, Charles E. Houghton III and his wife, Elizabeth, of Port Republic, Md., and Patricia A. Marr, and her husband, David, of Natick, Mass.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at the First Church of Christ Congregational in North Conway, with Rev. Leon Cone officiating. The burial will be at the Intervale Cemetery in Bartlett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be designated to the Music Department of Colby College and sent to Colby College, Development Office, 4350 Mayflower Hill, Waterville ME 04901.
Michael H. Buzzutto, 56, of Conway, died Sept. 10, 2001, at the Memorial Hospital in North Conway, following a long illness.
Born in Laconia, the son of Nicholas and Ethel (Young) Buzzutto, he lived in Holliston, Mass., for 31 years before moving to Conway in 1976.
Mr. Buzzutto was a member of the NH Intertribal Council. He enjoyed making crafts and was an avid fisherman.
The family includes his wife of nearly 13 years, Penelope L. Buzzutto, of Conway; his mother, Ethel E. Buzzutto, of Conway; a sister, Evelyn A. Dion, of Bellingham, Mass.; two brothers, Frank L. Buzzutto, of Gaylordsville, Conn., and Anthony D. Buzzutto, of East Douglas, Mass.; two aunts, Mary E. Kenneson, of Laconia, and Virginia M. Budroe, of Conway; an uncle, Howard E. Young Jr., of Conway; three great aunts; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. in the Bartlett Village Cemetery, with the Rev. Eric Ness and the Rev. Laurence Brown officiating.

Bernard George Edmund Stiff, most recently of Roland Park in Center Ossipee and formerly a long-term resident of Lynnfield, Mass., died Sept. 8, 2001, at the Mountain View Nursing Home after a long illness.
He was born in Saltash, England, on Jan. 3, 1917, and immigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1926. A graduate of M.I.T., 1940, and Arlington High School, Bernie was a creative engineer and inventor who had a significant impact on many important scientific developments of our time. At Draper Labs M.I.T. during World War II, he worked on the very successful Range Finder anti-aircraft weapon used by the Pacific Fleet. At High Voltage Engineering, he designed several of the major components of the medical X-ray generator and the first three-million volt electron machine. While at United Shoe Machinery, Bernie was responsible for development of the control rod for the first nuclear submarine, USS Triton. At Avco, he was instrumental in solving material purity issues for the heat shield of the Apollo spacecraft.
During his retirement, Bernie pursued many inventions, including development of conical harmonic drive and energy-efficient technology on which he received multiple patents.
A man of strong faith, he was a long-time member and trustee of Park Street Church in Boston, and during retirement was a member of First Congregational Church, Center Ossipee.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eugenia (Neal); two brothers, Donald Stiff, of Bellingham, Wash., and John Stiff, of Osprey, Fla.; two daughters, Genie Bennett, of Meredith, and Betsy Mabry, of Houston, Texas; two sons, P. Enoch Stiff, of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Geoffrey Stiff, of Richmond, Va.; and 12 grandsons and one granddaughter.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Family Life Center, First Congregational Church, Route 16B, Center Ossipee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the First Congregational Church of Center Ossipee Building Fund.
Wilfred F. Gagne, 76, died peacefully at his home on the Passaconaway Road in Albany on Sept. 6, 2001.
Born in Conway on Aug. 17, 1925, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Sohmer Z. (Osgood) Gagne. He was a lifelong resident of the valley.
Willie was a member of the 243rd Engineer Combat Battalion of the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he returned to Conway, where he was employed at Abbott's Dairy until his retirement in 1982. He is fondly remembered by many valley residents as their door-to-door milkman for many years. After his retirement Willie wintered in Haines City, Fla. with his wife Cecile, returning to Albany in the spring where he made walking and hiking sticks, which he sold to many hikers from his home. He was an extremely kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his children, Terry Gagne of Haines City, Fla., Joanna Noyes of Chocorua, and Sandra Gagne of Fryeburg; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ronald and Roger of East Conway, Bruce of Framingham, Mass., and Eugene of Robards, Ky.; five sisters, Dorothy Sawyer of Acton, Maine, Marie Eley of Lake Wales, Fla., Lois Goldfarb of Temple Hills, Md., Irene Hamlin of North Conway, and Betty Wade of Center Conway; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Cecile in 1999; two brothers, Robert in 1973 and George in 2001; and his sister Rita in 1970.
There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held for both Willie and his wife Cecile at the Albany Cemetery on High Street in Albany at the convenience of the family.
